Seeing this man for treatment was the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor in my life up until this point. He told me he couldn't treat me because I didn't have insurance...after I was on the table in his office speaking face to face. I had been up front about paying cash every step of the way (booking the apnt on phone, filling out forms, etc.) And was never told it would be a problem until the doctor actually came in the room and told me to get dressed, and took about 10 seconds to explain that paying out of pocket would surely get exorbitantly expensive, and fast, so it was a bad idea to do so and I should seek services for people with no insurance. (My family already agreed to pay for this fully aware of the possible cost.) He left immediately without a chance for me to explain that I could afford treatment and at that point sick and already scared/frustrated, I was ok w/ finding a different Dr. When I went to leave the front desk tried to give me the # for planned Parenthood and told me that would be the full $250+ cost today. Now, I was almost crying. I told her I had the $ but since he refused to treat me assuming I couldn't afford his services I didn't understand why I was being charged for the full cost of an appnt. I wasn't treated or even got into a gown or anything! He told me he wasn't treating me to my face so if I had to pay part of the fee for that, I was willing. Dr. Peeper overheard this and came over and started shouting and pointing at me. He called me a "dispicable human being." Among other things. He ranted about going to school for 10+ for someone like me to refuse to pay for his services. All I said was I could look up planned Parenthood's # for free at home, I was there for follow up after an emergency and needed serious tests which he had never even asked what brought me there anyway! I honestly think he saw me and assumed I was poor and knocked up or something. Neither of those were correct however regardless of who I was or what my situation was, no one deserves to be treated that way! He is a terrible person. Please don't make the mistake of trusting him with your care.
