I visited Dr Girod on a referral from my GP. I have had back pain for many years, but recently developed a burning sensation in my upper thigh. After waiting for some time (about what is the norm these days), they took a series of xrays on my upper and lower back. On meeting Dr Girod, I explained my back history and why I was there. I would say that I was severely disappointed in the results. Their computer system was down and he did not review my xrays with me. He did inform me that I had "meralgia paresthetica" but offered no other advice than to look it up on the internet. My wife was in attendance during the discussion, and on the way home we discussed how this was the worst office visit I've had in 20 years. I felt like he brushed me off and that I was looking to get a pain killer prescription, which was never even brought up. While he has a great "bedside manner", I think I could have a better medical recommendation from a palm reader.

Very pleased with this clinic. My wife and myself have seen several physicians including Drs Greene, Robichaux, Girod and Winder. I appreciate the after hours orthopedic clinic.

The extensions of this doctor are his core team. Laura took her time and eased anxiety for my wife, that does not respond well to pain and Laura deserves a lot of credit. Dr. Girod has managed to surround himself with a wonderful group, diverse in personalities that meet each need. Laura has the kindness and support that patients really need. Mary-Beth has focus, support and knowledge for in-depth questions. Dr. Girod makes a lot of self-sacrifices to make sure the patient does not make ANY. For this review, Dr. Girod and Mary-Beth sacrificed sleep, mother's day, time and energy to preform surgery on my wife at 3:00 a.m., an emergency situation. The hospital was unable to make an appointment within the time suggested by Dr. Girod but Laura was able to get it back on track. Pain management was taken seriously and responsibly with actual concern and sincerity. Calls / messages / questions placed to this staff are returned promptly (not to be confused with the actual hospital). A joyful and professional group of practitioners.

Dr. Girod performed spinal fusion on my back a couple of years ago. He injured his right hand 2 days before my surgery was to be done. When he entered my room prior to my surgery he had a black leather glove on his injured hand. I asked about his ability to safely perform my surgery, and whether it'd be better to postpone my surgery or get someone else to do it. Oh, no!!! He said everything would go fine. I should have checked myself out then. During surgery he pierced my spinal cord and the fluid began to escape. As a result I had to lay flat on my back for a week to give the injury time to heal. It was that or allow my one handed doctor to cut me open again to suture up the hole. My back has never healed properly as the screws are not all in their proper place. I am in constant pain but I refuse to allow anyone else to cut me open after Dr? Girid's pathetic farce. Please don't allow this man to mess you up like he did me.

I absolutely love the front desk staff. I have never encountered two people that would go out of their way to help you with paperwork related to having a surgery like the two of them. I never dread going to my appointments and that has everything to do with them. Dr Girod is very communicative and a good doctor but the best thing about him is that he made some great hires!

Dr. Girod is the best! Lovable, concerned doctor. I would recommend him to anybody needing back surgery. This man is with you when you cry and will laugh with you when you need a laugh. You won’t find anyone better! Everyone in his office will go the extra mile for you.

I had 2 prior back surgeries first one was semi-better second one became worse and almost unwalkable. Ended up at another doctors office saying that the problem was in the sacrum. But as it turned out he would not be able to do the surgery he referred me to Dr. Kyle Girod. We made appointment to see Dr. Girod and the interview we figured out that Dr. Girod said my problem was not in the psych room it was actually definitely in my back. We took his advice and I had the surgery I am doing great I can ride my horses I can take care of my cattle I can do things that I was nowhere able to do prior. As of 28 August I was one year out of surgery. I am doing great thanks to Dr Kyle Girod his PA Mrs Mary Beth and his wonderful and courteous staff of nurses and Techs. Thank you Dr Kyle for everything you’ve done I will always appreciate what you gave me back thank you sir
