Today was my first visit to see Dr. Agena. For 10+ years I had the same OBGYN. He had delivered 3 of my children so I was very hesitant to change. But, due to distance I changed in 2016 for my last pregnancy. Unfortunately, right after my daughter’s delivery the new dr office closed. It was intimidating enough for me to change my doctor the first time so I just waited until I HAD to be seen again. A few weeks ago I decided to search again and came across Dr. Agena’s name so I did some research. One thing that stood out to me was his support for nursing. That’s not for everyone but it was a plus for me. I called and the receptionist was very nice. She listened as I expressed my concerns and was very comforting. My appointment today was so much more than I had expected. The nurses were great but for a dr to come in and sit down immediately just to talk and really listen with no rush meant a lot. He asked questions, patiently and genuinely listened to everything I told him, gave me helpful feedback and we made a plan together. He is very thourough and seems to truly have his patients best interest at heart. He made the most of our visit today and I am confident in saying I have found my new dr. I look forward to seeing him again. Thank you Dr. Agena and staff for making me feel so welcome and important.

Just had my nexplanon put in for the 4th time here. Quick and painless as always. Dr. Agena has delivered both my sons. If not for him delivering my first son in crisis mode my son and I could’ve suffered terribly with my seizure. There’s no other doctor I’d recommend. Nurse practitioner is amazing and makes you feel comfortable as well as everyone on the staff. The lady doctor is never fun for most women but honestly this place is wonderful.

Ugh, since then, the wolves in the office have exposed themselves! Dr. Agena is a smart and kind professional, but his office staff should be under investigation. Those women are rude, hormonal, and uneducated on any ethics PERIOD! After I had enough of being rushed off the phone, lied to, and outright disrespected I researched other OB/GYNs and selected a new provider. Unfortunate, the 5 star rating will go to a 1. Please note the 1 is only because the Dr is decent. A nasty staff will bring a persons business to its knees!

God, I’m truly going to miss coming to this office for my weekly visits as to I’m scheduled to give birth tomorrow. The staff is just amazing, Dr. Agena is so talented in his work and he’s truly about his patients. Any fear that I had during my pregnancy, he truly took the time out to listen as well as educate me. When I was uncomfortable in sharing some pregnancy related concerns, he reassured me that there’s nothing to be embarrassed with his demeanor. He’s a very interesting Doctor because when I go to visit him and the team, I feel like they’re family and that I’m safe in trusting them with my health/ pregnancy. They have a way of making each individual feel like they are their favorite. I legit felt like I was their favorite patient and everyone else was just there but I’m sure everyone else probably felt the exact same. They give you ALL of their attention, and it honestly left you feeling good and important to them. No matter what, I knew that I mattered when I step foot in that office. Let’s be honest, that’s uncommon and it’s hard to find nowadays. Most offices just make you feel like an inconvenience. Please take this team into consideration, I’m confident that you won’t regret it.

I was very nervous to switch Doctor's, because I have been with my OB for 12 years but it was time to go somewhere else. I have to say from the moment I stepped foot into the waiting area, I felt that I had picked the perfect OB office for me. But for the rest of the crew they were completely rude and disrespectful and some more that I can not say on here. They kicked us out because the newborn baby was crying. Then I googled and called his office in madisonville and they made my appointment literally in the next 3 business days. Dr promised that we could induce one week early so my aunt, who has to fly out to MD Anderson, could be apart of the birth of my child. I did everything the Dr asked of me. On my last appointment the Dr informed me that he would induce at 9 pm on the date promised but we would not end up having baby till lunch time the next day. After speaking with the office about the issue I was told there's nothing they could do about it.(in better words) word of advice anything the Dr promises you get it in writing...

Never had a problem with Dr. Agena’s office until today, I called because I had a question concerning my health. I thought that’s what you do when you have questions you call your Doctors office. Dana the nurse practitioner does a good job of putting a face on to “look” professional. Her unprofessionalism shows up when you “a patient” seeks help! This is the 2nd time she’s handled herself in this manner with me & I refuse for a 3rd. As a professional you are trained to treat each person equally. I can’t speak for no one else but with this experience my opinion this lady needs training on containing her estrogen levels! Bye !
