I would give them 0 Stars if I could. The new doctor was rude and condescending for what is a serious condition. and she forgot to call in the prescription after the appointment.

I have only been to this office once about a year ago. I needed a pap smear and birth control, but I was also concerned about some possible mental health issues related to hormone changes. I saw Peggy Wolf, who prescribed me an anti-depressant to address this problem. The problem was, I was already on an anti-depressant (which they knew because they have you give them all your medication information as a new patient). After talking to the pharmacist and my general doctor, who said I should absolutely NOT be taking two anti-depressants (SSRI class) at the same time, I called the Women First office to talk to them about this. I had to call several times to get someone to call me back. When they did call back, there was no recognition that they had done something problematic. Rather, I was told that "she didn't know you were already on an anti-depressant" and all blame was laid on me for the situation. It was on my chart- they absolutely knew what medications I was already taking. I gave them an opportunity to address the situation by calling, and they didn't take responsibility for the screw-up. If you don't have a solid understanding of psych medication (and potential interactions) you shouldn't be prescribing it. My in-person/in-office experience with Peggy was fine; however, because I was prescribed a medication that I should not have been taking with the medication I was currently on and then blamed for this, I have ZERO trust in her and the staff at Women First. I will not be going back.

Women's First felt more like Time Management First. After 30 minutes of thorough questioning prompted by the nurse, the doctor came into my room without reading my charts (indicated by the questions she asked) hurried, flustered, and barely giving me time to breathe between sentences, much less answer thoroughly. While waiting to get a birth control insert removed, three different people came and asked the same questions, leaving me frustrated and overwhelmed. Could have been an off day - however, I left highly dissatisfied, questioning the professionalism and boasted empathetic nature of this office.

I had gone to Women's First because I had seen a doctor there before that was very detailed and could tell cared about me as a patient. I am completely upset overwhelmed by my visit today. Not only could I hear the office staff talking about me after I was in the exam room but they were laughing about what I said to them. This is no laughing matter! When Dr. Carrie Frederick came into the room she asked me what I was there for? After answering a serious of questions by the office staff then she should know what I was there for. I have a medical condition which did not explain to me what was going on with my ovaries. She just said everything look good and I am still in question of what exactly is going on with me medically wise. Lastly, I would like to say that when I checked out they said "what do you need" and I handed them my paper and they said that was it like I was bothering them. The whole visit was a nightmare and I will never go there again. Not only do I not know what is going on with me medically wise, I was humiliated by the office staff, the doctor gave me no knowledge of what was going on, and lastly at checkout the person seemed annoyed that I was there. I'm sorry to give this review but it was a horrible experience!

From the front desk, to the medical assistant, the doctor AND check-out, overall an amazing experience!!!!

Just wanted to say that I met Dr. Price for the first time today. It was for unfortunate circumstances however their staff got me worked in asap, very quick for my emergency. Tracy is one of the NP there and was very attentive and sweet even though I'd only met her her once for a short first visit to the pratice. Dr. Price came back from a surgery or delivery to make sure she got to meet and speak with me during my er visit, then worked me in a few hours later for surgery and stayed late to make sure she got to see me after to see how I was. I felt very comfortable and got my questions all answered. Thank you to the staff Tracy and Dr. Price for being there for me today.

Sandra Hazlett

All of my experiences here have been wonderful. They run on time and everyone is very professional. This is the doctor appointment I always dread but they have made it as good as it can get. Thank you!

Dr. Terry is awesome! She is friendly and knowledgeable

I felt like a "number" instead of an actual patient. I had to go in for blood work and didn't even know what it was for. When I asked the lady at the lab, she just said "follicle" and didn't explain at all what it was for. Then when I missed a call for the results, I called back, waited 30 mins on hold, and the girl that told me my results said "you're borderline. 2.4. I don't really know how to explain it."....umm ok? Thanks for the useless information? Changed to another company where the doctor took much more time with me.

My mother went to her yearly appointment and they were more interested in her mental health rather than her physical health. She didn't even have time to get her mammogram. I realize she is 90 years old, but she wasn't there to discuss her mental health.

I wanted to post a positive review because I have so far really enjoyed my experience at Women First. I went to get my Implanon removed and both the nurse and doctor were very professional and caring. They took the time to answer questions and had positive attitudes. I also had to start scheduling more appointments and they provided excellent times with my schedule.

Catherine Burton

Kind and caring. Only downside if you need special procedure only one room and certain doctor that does it. Been 2 days and no follow up call so I can schedule appointment.

Bailey Smith

Very considerate staff. When I had an urgent issue, they worked me in that day.

Julie Forbes

I had my mirena inserted after having my first child here and it was a great experience. I want to say thank you so much to Jeannette Jaggers who was incredibly kind, informative, and accommodating. I brought my infant with me to the appointment and Dr. Jaggers as well as all the other staff were super helpful. 5 months later and I’ve had no issues with my mirena so far. I love it!

Olivia K

I’ve never felt more welcomed and comfortable at a gynecologist appointment. Jeanette Jaggers was amazing and spent so much time with me. I never felt uncomfortable the entire visit and every staff member I interacted with was very helpful and polite. The wait time in the waiting room was as long as 10-15 minutes and the same for waiting in the exam room. I switched from a different hospital where they were constantly rude, made me exposed and feel uncomfortable, and didn’t spend hardly any time with me. I’m really glad someone told me about Women First.

Mary G

The only reason I am rating 2 stars is because the woman at the front desk helped me obtain my medical records and the manager was able to get me seen after hassling with the little black girl on the side for an hour . She was trying to make me pay 195 for being seen and would not allow me to be billed for the service because “I don’t have insurance “ and because “billing said no “. I do believe she was lying when she said she asked her managers. My friends think they are crazy for charging that much. After today I will never go back .

Bradley Mulder

This is the the worst place to have a baby. They call them self’s women’s first that’s a joke. I was trying to resolve a financial problem and the manager of the finance department hung up on me. My wife and I will never go back to this office! I wish there was an option for zero stars!

I had my first child with WF: I was induced, had 72 hours of labor and it all ended with a c-section. I wasn't unhappy but I also wasn't educated on how meaningful birth could be. I decided to put my faith in WF and have my second child with them and attempted a VBAC. They said that they were VBAC-friendly, but in the end, they were not. They tried to force me into a c-section at 38 weeks and then each appointment thereafter. Then, when I went in to labor at 40 weeks, Dr. Brown openly scolded me in the hospital while she recorded me (on her iPhone) turning down an immediate c-section. She did this despite the fact that I had previously signed a consent form about VBAC. Keep in mind that I wasn't refusing a c-section; I simply wanted to try a vaginal birth. I ended up with a c-section with Dr. Johnson and was perfectly happy with that outcome, but wanted the opportunity to try laboring. I would not recommend this practice to moms hoping for a natural birth or a VBAC. One other note: they were also very unfriendly to my doula who was, as doulas are, very respectful.

I have been going to Women's First for years (25+) and every single time I have went I am always amazed at how the office flows from one appointment to the next. The most important thing to me however is I know I am always in good hands with Dr. Cartwright, she always listens and I never felt I was rushed. My last visit in October 2018 was for a annual checkup, during the exam she was not just doing the standard yearly exam she also was observing other things and she said to me you need to get this spot on your leg checked out and so I did and when the lab report came back from Dermatologist sure enough it was a Squamous cell Carcinoma Hematoma which I am happy to say my Plastic Surgeon just removed successful 1/24/19. Reviews are important as well as referrals. I for one can attest to how wonderful Dr. Cartwright is! Forever Grateful.

I got a referral from my doctor and had high expectations. Hard to contact and left on hold for a long time when scheduled. When I showed up for my first appointment there was a long wait even though there seem to be WAY more employees than patients in the office. The nurse was very cold and did not make eye contact with me when asking me repeat questions. She gave me a glare when I gave her answers she may not have necessarily liked (for example, my unconventional career position), which did not make me feel comfortable right off the bat for my first appointment. Still, I tried to move beyond the elitist undertone that the nurse had. The doctor kept interrupting me and clearly was focused on getting out the door instead of addressing my concerns. I did not feel welcome or respected at all by the front desk, nurse, or doctor and overall had a very disappointing experience.

Dr. Johnson has been very good to me for many years. I’ve only been doing routine care and yearly blood tests for my condition, but she’s very knowledgeable and thorough when explaining stuff to me. The front office and billing has been helpful as well.

Anne Marie Payne

Top notch practice! Can't say enough great things about the doctors and staff. Thanks for providing excellent care.

Jenna Rogers

The people there are all very nice, but I have to agree with everyone else on how difficult it is to get in! It can take a month to get in just for an annual appointment. I did however call today with a semi urgent situation and they squeezed me in for 8 am tomorrow morning - I just hope I can make it to work on time afterward, because these people are known for making me wait forever in the waiting room.

Chasity Lorenzo

Most of the bad reviews on here are because of payments...services aren’t free ppl!! I, also, work at a hospital.... Do you ever think doctors have to protect themselves because of ppl that walk off & leave owing big bills?? I’ve had to go here a couple of times to pick up paper work for my patients and for personal reasons, and the young lady that sits at the front desk is always busy ( VERY busy office), but she is always sweet and helpful in every way!!!! I love this office & all of the APRN/MD I’ve encountered are amazing as well!!!!! They will always have my business . Thanks Women First!!!!!

Blair Klayko

I have had my fair share of issues with this practice during the 16 years I was a patient, but I finally severed ties. This practice prioritizes greed and billing copays over providing compassionate, convenient care, and for that reason, I now have to inconvenience myself to find another provider. But if you are considering this practice, just know that it is always crowded, running behind schedule, and difficult to get in for your annual appointment.

Accidentally went the day before my appointment and was able to be fit in at the same time. :-) For my experience, I've just done routine visits and they are great. In and out in 30min and friendly doctors.

I love this office and my doctor, Dr. Cartwright. She is always there to fulfill my medical needs. The office is great and the staff is one of a kind. Today I had an issue getting a prescription filled with my primary care physician, called Women First and it was "HANDLED" . I cannot thank this office enough for the many times that you guys have helped me. AWESOME!!!!

Kasey Gurley

Not safe. Introduced risks into my labor and delivery entirely because they just wanted to be done and move on to the next patient. It is a numbers game for them. They are flatly dishonest regarding whether or not they are natural birth friendly. They want to see as many women as possible. When I described my labor and delivery experience with them to friends in other states who are labor and delivery nurses they gasped. They had never witnessed doctors risking patient safety and introducing unnecessary procedures to the degree practiced by my doctors at Women First.

Sarah Cromwell

They were able to get me in fast. I had to cancel and reschedule and they got me in the next day. I probably only waited in the lobby 15 minutes. Thought I’d be waiting in the doctors office for a while since that’s usually how it is, but the PA came in within 5 min!

Katy Ritter

If I could give zero stars I would. Do NOT come here unless you can pay for everything BEFORE your baby is even born. When I told them I couldn't afford it and needed to make payment arrangements, they didn't even try to work with me to make some kind of payment arrangement. They wouldnt even let me see the doctor and I'm 16 weeks pregnant. They refused to provide care to a pregnant lady; Great job on that "shall do no harm" oath. They should be called money first instead of women first.

Tamara Williams

I was treated like a black baby mama from the moment I stepped into the exam room. The nurse practitioner insisted that I get on birth control even after I told her that my husband was out of the country and that I was practicing abstinence. She basically told me that i was a statistic and better safe than sorry. I explained that my husband and I wanted to have at least one more baby when he returned, but she looked at me with disdain and continued to try to convince me to take birth control. I did not feel like she was listening to my unique situation at all. I realized that she was only thinking of me along the lines of trends and norms. Never went back.

Maria Harrig

I have been going there for many years. the doctors are great! their system is HORRIBLE. As a MOM with CHILDREN it is very hard to make appointments anywhere. This office will NOT see you for multiple issues. they will schedule an appointment for each individual issue you have. I personally do not have the time to keep going back to the office lugging around my kids. They like to send you to your family physician first for something they should be able to treat. what is the point if i am being bounced around. BOTTOM LINE: great doctors but they are clearly there to make things easier for themself, not for YOU. Try TOTAL WOMAN at Suburban. They understand moms are busy.

Aaliyah Taylor

Hannah K

Had a great first time experience with Dr Price. She was caring, funny, and made you feel at ease. I can confidently say I can’t wait for my next Pap smear.

Sarah Carlton

I give this place four stars because every time I call I will always be on hold for quite a long time, even if I have a simple question. Sometimes I will wait 15 minutes to talk to a person, and then that person will need to redirect my call to another department and I'll wait another 15 minutes to talk to that person. Hopefully you never have to call them for anything besides appointments. Other than that, though, this is a good place. The doctors are great, and there are several here, so don't hesitate to see someone new each time until you find one that clicks really well for you. I personally see Kristen Hord: she's nice and does good work. She talks at a fast clip, which is great for me because I like to be efficient, but if you prefer conversation to be a little slower, I would still recommend any of the other doctors here.

Kendra Kole

The day after our 8 week confirmation visit (that's the very first visit), we received a bill for everything up to delivery; or so we thought. 'Everything' did not include: all ultrasound visits, pre-natal care, anesthesia, hospital stay, post delivery infant care, ect,. 'Everything' meant, only delivery. Upon trying to make a week 12 appointment, was in itself - 'a merry go round'. Called several times, left countless messages, and was wasting my life 'on hold'. I felt like a number at a corner pharmacy - getting a flu shot. The staff is pushy, unconcerned, disinterested, and thoughtless. Billing department will not return a call unless you leave a message to pay a bill. The Dr did nothing, but make excuses when bringing concerns to light. Having a baby is magical. Do it somewhere else.

Brenda Roller

How this business has a 3.5 rating on google and higher rankings on other sites is beyond my mind. The care I received at my initial visit was amazing! She listenened to my concerns and gave me multiple scenarios of what may be going on. Though it didn't take long for me to realize this practice uses scare tactics to make you schedule additional appts. Not only that, but their billing standards are totally jacked up for a place that is supposed to be affiliated with a hospital. I was pushed to believe I needed diagnostic testing and feared for the worst...however when my appt came around I was slapped in the face with a large bill that I was required to pay up front. I was caught a little off guard and unfortunately had to cancel my appt and reschedule because I couldn't afford the payment at the moment. I had to explain this to two people before leaving and felt completely embarrassed; as this took place in two different waiting areas. I was literally in tears and made to feel terrible that I couldn't afford this payment up front. I work in the medical field and would never make a patient feel this way! At this point I didn't want to come back but I forced myself to because I knew I needed the testing done. I went to my next appt and paid everything up front, and voila no cancer! I was sent out the door with a prescription and told to come back in a year. That's fine! I just didn't plan on coming back and was happy I no longer had to deal with this place anymore. Here's the REAL kicker....it's nearly 2 months later and I'm now getting a bill for the same amount I've already paid. The statement shows that a payment has never been received, though I used two forms of payment on the DOS. I've called multiple times and haven't received a call back. This place is a joke! An absolute joke!

AWESOME!!!!

They were able to get me in fast. I had to cancel and reschedule and they got me in the next day. I probably only waited in the lobby 15 minutes. Thought I’d be waiting in the doctors office for a while since that’s usually how it is, but the PA came in within 5 min!

Had a great first time experience with Dr Price. She was caring, funny, and made you feel at ease. I can confidently say I can’t wait for my next Pap smear.

Too large of a practice. Not careful enough with personalized care. Prescribed drugs before performing all possible tests.

I have been coming to this office for about 7 years now and they never disappoint. I'm always amazed by how on time they are with their appointments. I see Dr. Cartwright and she is such an awesome person. She always listens to any concerns of mine and never rushes me. I highly reccomend her.

Very good staff. But there needs to be soft music in the lobby and waiting areas. Everyone is whispering to each other and some music would be nice.

I have been seeing Dr. Price, & her NP's for 27 years & counting. Always feel comfortable, & Dr Price cares, listens, & pays attention. Every staff member I've dealt w/has been patient & know their business well.

I have been a patient for 28 years. I highly recommend the office to anyone. From complicated pregnancies, routine care and specialized procedures, I have always been confident with the group. I have two daughters, who a were both delivery by the physicians, who are now seeing the physicians as young women. They have also refers friends.

The ladies of Women First are extremely professional! The staff works hard to accommodate my needs within a very limited time schedule. I have never waited very long in the waiting room for my appointment. It is a very well organized practice. They are extremely knowledgeable and versed in current health care practices and recent research studies.

Ashton Fentress

Had some issues with the billing department but the manager had great customer service and fixed my issues!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Billing departments is an ABSOLUTE nightmare. My girlfriend and I decided to come here once we found out she was pregnant. Dr. Lewis has been great. Billing department has been awful. They continuously messed up the insurance in the system. My girlfriend was still on her parents policy but they can’t putting her as being the one with the policy in her name. So it was NEVER paying the bills. The lady who works in window 2 with the glasses, is RUDE as rude can get. I’m in management in retail and I see all aspects of customer service, if she worked for me, she would be GONE. She doesn’t care about anyone except getting the money for Money First, I mean, women’s first. She never corrected the insurance, so instead of it ever be covered, we had to contionously shell out money. We paid our ONE $1,700 bill that they asked us to pay. So we did. Then, we had to pay $800. THEN another $312. As my girlfriend is sitting at almost 39 weeks as of today. We was sitting in women’s first and we overhead the SAME lady, messing up someone else insurance. Like, this is just ridiculous. We won’t be back here with our other children.
