Dr. James C. Wilkes was practicing BADLY as a pediatrician at least evidenced by this terrible incidence. On September 5, 2017, follow the the scheduled newborn baby two months check-up appointment, the patient and the family arrived the office on time and registered for the check up. The nurses were very nice and preparing the check-up. However, Dr. Wilkes did not show up to the baby! Most importantly, refuse to administrate extremely critic Hepatitis-B follow-up shot (the first one was given at the hospital where the baby was born.) There were NO unpaid previous service fees. There was no payment dispute. Dr. Wilkes did not give any personal explanation, did not suggest any alternative option regarding to the Medicare. Just refuse to provide the service, at least, complete the scheduled appointment, even minimal, to administrate the required immunization shots. The Dr. Wilkes' behavior was clearly unprofessionally and unacceptable in many ways: (a) Dr. Wilkes did not care about the patient health and public health consequence by not administrating the critical Hepatitis-B; (b) Dr. Wilkes did not communicate with the patient and the patient family. Show no loves to the newborn baby; (c) Dr. Wilkes did not respect the patient and the patient's rights. According to the report on the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr, Wilkes is NOT "Meeting the requirements of maintenance of certification". While choosing or continuously using Dr. Wilkes as your children's pediatrician is your own judgement, please consider this incidence to avoid that from happening to you. God blessing all American newborn babies happy and healthy!
