The billing department has been a nightmare to work with. We have to constantly fight to fix mistakes and each person you work with tells you a different story. When we asked file a complaint with patient services we were told we couldn’t speak directly and they would call. Still no call. We are looking for a new hospital and I advise anyone reading this review to do the same.

If it's not Dr. Smith, expect a lot of waiting. It's the norm it seems. Read the reviews.

The workers were incredibly friendly and fast! They treated all of the patrons with respect and kindness. I ordered the spinach and artichoke egg souffle and it was still piping hot. The frozen agave lemonade was just what this hot muggy southern morning needed. While the location is inside a hospital, there is an outside entrance and patio. It was easy to see while walking though could be a little challenging if driving.

Absolutely hate them! They keep changing my appt without asking me and I'm 22weeks without having even seen an ultrasound. Went to the hospital on Thursday and that's how i not only found out how far along I actually was but that I was in fact pregnant with twins! Like wow, would've been nice to know alittle sooner than later. I'm considered high risk and at risk for preterm labor but I haven't been seen in over a month, since they keep changing my appt. I had to be hospitalizated last week for my high blood pressure. I told them I needed to be seen because I was out of meds. But nope. They wouldn't even schedule me nor send my meds to the pharmacy. I was only sent to them because of me being high risk but. I'm going back to Norton's. And i refuse to go back there again, high risk or not. I'd rather delivery my baby myself than go back there. They don't care about me nor my baby. And let me add that you come in for an appt and 3hrs later you're out and that sucks because you have to pay for parking.

I probably would be able to accurately review them if I could actually get an appointment. I have put in 3 online request and called twice in almost 2 months. After the first online request, I was called back but could not answer because I was on a plane. The person that left a message instructed me to call back and ask for her. I called back and left a message and never heard anything back. I put in another request a few weeks ago and, again, nothing. Last week I called and left a message, nothing. I called again today hoping to actually speak to someone and set up an appointment but was directed again to leave a message so I hung up. I feel like, especially considering I'm trying to get an appointment with a psychiatrist, this is ridiculous.

Put me into Collections 26 days after I made a payment for a bill under $100 (along with insurance and copay). Total trash. I can't wait to see the same generic copy/paste template response to my review. -- Also GLA Collections is used. When you call to dispute, the apathetic highlands voiced person says "yeah, because you paid $5 so what's the dispute based on?" And now GET NOTHING from me! I'm not dealing with people who TREAT PATIENTS LIKE TRASH. IT'S MEDICAL DEBT, NOT CREDIT CARD FRAUD.

U of L recklessly threatened to trash my wife's credit due to their own careless record-keeping error. They knew of the error and could have easily called us to correct it, but didn't bother. Worse yet, it took weeks of calls and emails to get any help resolving the problem. Casually causing a family enormous hardship in order to avoid a modicum of honest work is proof that they have no shame, no work ethic, and no conscience.

Jeremy G

I showed up early, which I guess is a good thing because my following 2 hour wait would have been even longer. No respect for other people's time.

I’ve written to them on their web site......no answer to my question. I’ve tried to call the Gastro practice and no one answers. Now all I want to do is cancel my appointment and go to Norton who answers my calls promptly.

Incompetent billing department! Physician saw my saw my daughter when she was born at a different hospital without my knowledge. Did not receive bill until april, which was seven months after delivery. Worst of all the bill came from a collection agency not the billing department. I immediately upon receiving this turned it into insurance. From there insurance contacts the billing department to submit a claim, they finally do. However since they didn't submit in a timely manner insurance will not pay this claim. ULP is contacted and at this time agree that they didn't file in a timely manner and will write this off. Two months later I received another bill from collections on the same issue. This time they magically have dates entered where a message was left about a bill. Now they state I am solely obligated to pay this bill, but they will work with me on monthly payments. After reading other reviews this seems like there is a definite issue in the billing department. Hopefully investigations are done and critical restructuring takes place. They should be ashamed of themselves for such poor use of a public service.

Nicolas Silvestros OD is the best and all the staff in thethat office is. My daughter is my life and there is nothing I will not do for her. When I walk into his office I am at ease knowing my daughter's vision is in good hands because they are being protected by the Superman of pediatric eyes.

My surgeon was Dr Joshua Choo. He is very professional and demonstrates an expert level of knowledge. Results of my surgery and care was perfect for my needs. UofL Hospital staff are also excellent and very caring.

Excellent care. Great sharing between different departments to work to find a solution and treat my complicated condition. Highly recommend. Clayton Smith, internal medicine is best Dr I’ve ever had.

Ryan Burt

Closed 15 minutes early, missed my call and have to wait til the morning to call again.

Anne Hoskinson

Tried to make an appointment with Dr. Krueger. I was on hold for 45 minutes (I recalled 3 times) with no answer. If they can't handle their front office - I don't expect them to handle anything well.

Horrible. Please go anywhere else in Louisville. They billed me for doctors I never saw, made it impossible to transfer records to reputable hospitals, every appointment I waited for 1-2 hours PAST my scheduled time, they are not personable and you never know your doctors name (because they rarely disclose it and it changes every appointment), which makes it impossible to schedule appointments or call and get records. Their Followmyhealth doesn't ever get updated with your information, and they can never find your information in the system when you call in which is very concerning because they pull A LOT of personal information. I highly advise against this place; save your money.

ULH Eye Care (Pediatrics, Angie's Way Office)--The wait time is always HOURS. Today, my 2 year old had an appointment. We drove all the way out here only to find out our appointment was changed without any notice. So, now I get to drive all the way back out here on Friday. Thankfully, we don't have anything going on that day, which nobody bothered to call and ask if that was okay with us. It's not only gas wasted (which is very expensive), but it is blatant disrespectful of our time. Edited to add: the staff is EXCELLENT and so is Dr. Silvestros. Edited to add again: called the number given in the response from UL, left a voicemail, haven't been called back yet. It's been several days .

Awfully experience waiting, and waiting and waiting... My appointment with Dr Rios was for 3:50 and I showed up early. After finally being led into a room, I waited, and waited and waited. No one came in and explained or apologized for my wait. No one. At exactly 4:50, i left the room and walked out of the building. I thought someone would possibly call me with an apology, or an explanation, but no... no call.

I have had nothing but a great experience with Johanna L. Harris, Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Neurology. She knows her stuff, she cares, she listens, she sets you up with the right people if she can’t get the problem resolved, and she even returns your phone calls back in a timely matter. I have nothing but great things to say about her. Also - Sushma Chandan, MD in the Department of Neurosurgery, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation department. Words can’t express how thankful, and how wonderful she is. She does everything in her power to get the problem resolved. She sits, and listen to you, she cares for you, she reaches out to you with open arms to help, she even spends up to an hour with no rush with all of her patients. Sushma Chandan, MD was a blessing in the sky, and I am definitely thankful to have her. In conclusion, I am thankful for both of these ladies, and I definitely would recommend them to anyone. Thank you both for the excellent care you have provided me at the University of Louisville hospital.

Dr Christopher Shafer is the best neurologist I've found. He treats you like a real person.

The smaller of the two Internal Medicine offices (suite 370) is fantastic. The staff is always friendly, and my doctor is great. The phone system has left much to be desired, but the online portal provides an easy workaround that suits me better anyway. On the other hand, the larger of the two (suite 310) is a madhouse, with a waiting room for the waiting room for the waiting room.

Hannah Meredith

Dealing with ULP is a nightmare. Their staff and billing department are the WORST. Expect a surprise bill 8 months later, and when you call to discuss, a rude staff who are automatically defensive and will even hang up on you. And of course, the waiting. This place is a joke.

Liddie Evans

I only gave it one star because I had to other then that I would not have it one they are mean I would not let my children go there at all they don't like black people I have been there two times and they was very mean they try to say they was going to have my child take from me when I am a great mother to my child child neurologist this happen on 04/24 /2019 at 9:06 am in the morning

I ended up having to fire the doctor as my primary care physician because he made it seem like I was lying when the hospital refused to see me in the ER. He canceled my appointment without my knowledge. I was having to hear about his sex life which I cared nothing about. And he violated HIPPA laws and made sure others knew about the patients information when they did not need to know.

Terrible attitude from "receptionist" I was there today with my mother whom I take care of and we recently found out she has lung cancer, and on top of that she has some severe colon issue so we was checking in at Dr.Farmers office and the receptionist was a bitter person who was more worried about joking with her co-workers and putting on make-up than doing her job when she did she had an attitude for seemingly no reason....if you go here good luck an hope you have a better time.

Angela Kopple

Where to begin. I tried seeing the midwives this time. Impossible to make appointments ahead of time due to there 4 week calendar. The medical assistant you have to go through is AWFUL. She told me I had a miscarriage (currently 9 months preg with that baby), she ordered a tuburculosis lab instead of a pregnancy level and she is just overall very unprofessional. I now have a $700 bill from 1 lab that was coded wrong and for 7 months can’t get anyone to code it right and send it back to Quest Diagnostics. Even Quest has sent them the form. RIDICULOUS, stay away...

Stephanie Chowning

Be careful using ULP strictly due to their billing department. It is beyond ridiculous the hoops you have to go through. There are physicians that we love from ULP but strictly due to the fiasco with billing, we may never go back. They put me through so much stress. I used so much of my personal time while trying to take care of a newborn to fix their mistakes. You get different answers depending on the representative. Next thing you know, you receive notices from collections for bills you never received. On top of that— they didn’t even bill my correct insurance.... which I have supplied them with many times. You pay a bill, but repeatedly receive the same bill stating it hasn’t been payed. Come to find out, they took the money but never applied it to the invoices. These people took a toll on my personal life and almost my credit due their inability to do their jobs.

I love having my different specialists all in one place. Also, that there's an app for that!! I have control over my medical records, so I can send them via the app to other Dr's. ULP is a great fit for me, because I've found it's so much easier, having my Dr's connected, & all in the system together. It makes for a much better level of care, & better to manage. The Dr's for the most part, all have a great bedside manner; & are willing to actually listen to you. This is a major part of care which can be missing from many Dr's nowadays. I've also found all of the other staff I've had contact with to be very friendly and helpful - from the front desk ladies, to the PA's, to the schedulers. I am very happy with my level of care here, & I would gladly recommend them to anyone and everyone. In fact, that's just what I've been doing!

Fantastic physicians, great staff. In and out in 40 min.

I started seeing Michelle Melton at ULP Neurology last year for chronic migraines after nearly three years of seeing another physician with little progress. I had been prescribed numerous medications with side effects that outweighed the benefits and I was really losing hope that anything was ever going to make a difference. Michelle prescribed prophylaxis medications in low doses and slowly increased them at follow ups based on my progress and tolerance and suggested ways to use cut down the dose of my rescue medicine to avoid the negative side effects from it. Since my last visit, I finally have fewer migraine days each month than I've had in years and that has majorly improved my quality of life. If you have chronic migraines, I recommend ULP Neurology. I've never had my appointment run more than just a few minutes behind, the people are friendly and easy to talk to and they will find a reasonable solution to your issue.

Helena Gore

Dr Burton bed side manner was bad. He didnt listen, no research before finalizing, expect me to remember (with stroke issues) every date & Dr visit over the years ? Testy with my answers because i wasnt sure. He couldve looked them up for him self ! Im used to friendly & informative Drs. Now... with the fallimg & migraine problems im having. My appointment was moved way away to July 24th !?? No meds for relief, no check with my schedule ? Im to suffer until then ? I feel there is no concern for patients. Quite sad

UofL Physicians operates with little to no common sense. I have yet to have a positive experience with them, and have found their entire operation to be unacceptable, from scheduling, to triage, to helpfulness, to physician courtesy, to billing. We are switching primary care physicians even though it may cost us more.

It's like dealing with a bunch of med school drop outs....I have finally decided to leave and go to a more reputable doctor for my diabetes, and the brains in the record department have taken nearly 2 weeks to get a simple doctor to doctor referral...I don't recommend these physicians to anyone.

Lesa Ryan

PLEASE DO NOT choose a provider with UofL Physicians. One star is being too generous. It will be a nightmare to deal with office staffs, billing, customer service, business office. You will be calling for days and days with no one answering the phones. You will sit on hold for hours. If you are lucky enough to be able to leave a voice mail it will take several days to several weeks for a call back. Then if you ask a question they will have to call you back. They won't. If you have a prescription that needs to be refilled you can forget about it. It will take 3 weeks back and forth before they finally tell you to make another appointment. Then you can wait another several weeks to a month to see the physician. Want to change doctors and get your records? No way. Not possible. I have never before had to deal with such incompetence in just seeing a doctor. DO NOT risk your physical and mental health with UoL Physicians!

Andreza FAS

I never received any bill from this place and then when I went in last time they were trying to charge me for an exam that I never did. I paid the part that I knew what it was and I called their billing department twice and left a voicemail. They never called me back or sent me a bill specifying what I owned. I also tried to call the main number and they said they can't help me with that, just the billing department can solve this. Now you sent me a letter saying that if I don't pay my balance in 14 days you will send my account to a collection agency. I'll gladly pay what I own if someone can tell me what you are charging me for. Please look at the picture attached. Your patients deserve to know what they are being charged for. I hope we can solve this but it's hard to do that as your billing department seems to be unreachable.

Mary House

I am having problems with getting a human to speak with. My son passed way under their care. When I received his death certificate, it was wrong and I can not get a return on my calls. I for one would not want to be a patient there.

I am having problems with getting a human to speak with. My son passed way under their care. When I received his death certificate, it was wrong and I can not get a return on my calls. I for one would not want to be a patient there.
