We have had a very mixed experience here. I see a lot of great posts about Dr. Livera, however, our experience with him has not been the best. We ended up in the emergency room with our daughter due to his misdiagnosis and his unwillingness to prescribe her an antibiotic for the issue. We also had to deal with over 1,000$ of bills because of this and he refused to let the bill for the office visit be written off. Dr. Balin we have seen several times for sick appointments and is amazing. She has been soooo helpful down to referring us for tubes to be put in my daughters ears even though she wasn't my daughters full time doctor. Dr. Segelon has been pretty great too. She doesn't always have the best bed side manner but she is always spot on with diagnosis and helping us. I have used the call service 2 times and have great experiences with those as well. Only other complaint I would have is that Dr. Livera seems to be the only one that is ever available for sick appointments, if I refuse to see him it can take days to get in, which with toddlers you sometimes don't have that long. Front office staff is always great and welcoming. Lab workers are pretty good too.

We LOVE Dr. Bailen and I would recommend her to all new parents! She has been our pediatrician for almost 3 years and she is amazing! She gets us in and out quickly, while taking still taking them time to be thorough, and make sure all of my often times ridiculous questions are answered. Today, we saw Dr. Shaw, and he was great as well! Very kind and made sure my questions and needs were addressed. The newer nursing staff I can’t soeak highly enough about as well! Luke was patient and friendly in calming down my upset sick little one when we arrived. Another nurse who works besides him helped in keeping him calm and distracted during his uncomfort of this visit! Most of all, Megan came to my rescue today, and threw a ball with my little one which couldn’t have been more than two minutes, but it seemed like an eternity of help. She saw that with a screaming little one, I was struggling, trying to arrange plans to get to another office for further testing. That two minutes made my transition 100x smoother. I know it’s not in her job description to come to my aide, and she has 900 other things to do, but it’s the little things like that as a parent you appreciate more than words can express. Thankful for this wonderful team who takes care of us!

We have been seeing Dr. Bailen and Dr. Livera for almost 4 years and are now moving out of state. We always had pleasant experiences and felt like they took the time to make sure our questions were answered. When my oldest was born he had some kidney inflammation and they were very thorough following up with labs/ ultrasounds until the issue resolved. The nurses and administrative assistants were always so helpful and friendly (Trista and Luke were especially awesome). I would highly reccomend this group to anyone looking for a pediatrician.

There have been major changes to this doctors office this year and not in a good way! This once so homey and welcoming place that was recommended to me when my son was born is now one of the worst pediatricians office in my opinion. They recently moved to a office tower building and expanded. With this came more staff member who are so unfriendly and unwelcoming. Every time my son has came into the doctors office, they wouldn’t acknowledge him, say hello to him; NOTHING, they would barely speak to me! When they did speak it was in a very snappy and annoyed tone. I have had it with this doctors office! I changed my sons pediatric care after leaving their office yesterday. These people shouldn’t be allowed to work around kids!

Dr Livera (retired now) was a great doctor for my sons visits, however my rating is not based on him but the horrible, unfriendly, bad energy atmosphere that lays with the staff. No warm smiles, no interaction with my 1 yr old....why work at a kids doctors office and have bad energy or snappy attitudes? And the new building doesn’t help....atleast the old location off Breckenridge FELT homey, now the attitudes from staff goes hand and hand with the coorpriate building.

Absolutely recommend them! We’ve taking our son their since birth and we are comfortable with all Doctors. Dr.Segeloen is our primary but I don’t mind any of them. They are always able to fit us in during urgent visits.

First & foremost, Drs. Livera, Segelon & Bailen are absolutely terrific. Very thorough, attentive & easy to talk to. However, since this practice has been taken over by Norton Kosair, it has been less than a satisfactory experience. We've been patients here for 13 yrs. Things such as consistent follow up to/from other specialists, and the attitude of nursing staff have declined. After hours/on call care providers no longer have access to your child's records or information and are unable to offer specific guidance if needed. As I said, the doctors in the office are really wonderful, but the feel/patient experience of the practice has definitely changed.

We are fairly new to this office as we transferred from a well known office here in Louisville and this office is awesome ! Dr. Shaws bedside manner is superb and his effective communication in person and through MyChart is excellent ! He’s talked through every treatment plan and what we should expect to see as a team (myself and him) The office and waiting room is nice and clean (Yay) and we’re pleased.

1/11/19--I have always been very pleased with the level of care my children have received until our most recent visit. We went on a Monday and she was diagnosed with something that needs a certain prescription to clear up. I called the pharmacy after we left because they said they sent the prescription over. Its not there. I call the doctors office back and apparently no-one double checks the prescriptions sent over because there was an error in sending. They said they would re-send it immediately. I call the pharmacy again, its not there. I call the doctor's office back and they sent it to the wrong pharmacy, they said they would send it immediately. I wait and call the pharmacy again. They finally send it over but our insurance wont cover it so they send a prior auth back to the docs office. I call the doc office back and ask how long it will take and they said give them 24 hours. I call pharmacy on Tuesday, they still have not heard anything. I give it to Friday (today) and call the pharmacy again and they have sent over a request to the doc office to send in a different prescription that our insurance will cover. So I call the doc office again for the five billionth time 2 hours ago and spoke with a male nurse and they said they would check into it and call me right back. It is now 4:10 pm and I know they close at 5. Why is it this hard to get my daughters prescription?? 1/14/19-- The nurse finally called me back to tell me that she would personally make sure that I would have my prescription in 24 hours. 1/15/19--They nurse called and left a message saying they spoke with Pat at the Walgreens in Shelbyville and it was ready. Dear God help me, I've told them over and over again that I live 40 mins away from Shelbyville and to please use the CVS on Muhammad Ali.
