Dr. Mays is hands down the BEST Dermatologist in town! She is exceptionally trained (went to Baylor and studied Internal Medicine before dermatology). She is smart, kind, and knows exactly what she is doing. As soon as you walk in, the staff take your information and put you back in a room. Dr. Mays follows very shortly after, with barely ANY wait time. She examines you, goes over the treatment options in detail and answers every question. I left there feeling like I had a diagnosis after seeing at least 5 other dermatologist in town with no diagnosis. Than you Dr. Mays!

If you’re looking for a place with people who genuinely care about your needs this isn’t a place I would recommend. The staff seems very rehearsed and doesn’t actually listen to your concerns. I went for my eczema and Dr. May (the woman) was more concerned about treating my acne on my face. I barely get any facial acne and I never once mentioned it. They are more interested in cosmetic stuff not actual dermatology. They seem to be all about the money too. She recommended a whole list of things and only one was for what I actually went in for.

I am very displeased after my consult for laser resurfacing. I show up today unaware that there is a consult fee of $150. Now I get having a fee but $150? This took me by surprise as I could have been notified as the appointment was being made. Anyhow, I have done my research on the procedure that I want done. Once I go back and speak with the doctor she completely talks me out of the laser and hypes up this "NEW" procedure that is popular bc of Kim K. So I'm listening and intrigued.. I get home and do some more research only to find out that she doesn't even perform the procedure that I went in for. I just felt like she had an agenda and I'm out of $150. I also asked her nurse if I could see any photos of Dr. Mays previous work and was told that was against HIPPA laws and to look at the brochures before and after pics. I have an appointment with another cosmetic dermatologist that does both procedures, let's me (the client) decide on which procedure to have done with a consult fee of $50.

Dr.Mays is an awesome dermatologist! She is very knowledgeable and takes time with each patient. She did a correction using restalyn silk on my lips and I’m very happy with the results!! All of the products that she carries has amazing science behind it, currently loving my eltamd cleanser and sunscreen!! The facility and staff are very nice and friendly. Dr. Mays practice offer SAME-DAY appointments which is rare to find! I would definitely recommend Dr.Mays to everyone.

The office is very pretty and modern when you enter. I was only there for a consult on acne but Dr. Mays was beyond friendly and helpful, she knew exactly what approach to use for going about my acne. I was only there for acne but she removed a mole that I have had some concern about while I was there. Recommended by an existing patient. For people who want to appear and be seen within minutes of their appointment, this is the place for you. I have been here three times and have experienced little to no wait. I prepare for my appointments so I came to intake with my exact symptoms which I gave to the medical assistant. After about a five minute wait, Dr Mays appeared. Since she read my symptoms, she asked to see the area and made a diagnosis. I was given suggestions and a prescription (which worked). Then, I was released to pay my co-pay. I only used 40 mins of my lunch break instead of an hour. This has been my experience each visit. I look forward to using Dr Mays in the future!

Billing is crazy, even after my insurance paid 180 , I had to pay over 120, for a consultation visit, they say 150 for a visit but actually charge almost twice , this is when i got no resolution of my primary complain , i don't know why the charged me so much because they did not explain it to me, just wrote a new patient code, they did not tell me they charge so much to a new patient just for barely 10 minutes of looking and dismissing my primary concern . they also focus on cosmetic part which is personally not that important to me , i will want them to be more transparent in billing , i called their billing company they understood my point but they were also clueless why i was charged that much , almost 3-4 months passed still no explanation of their billing breakdown. also my skin tag hurts so i will have to see another doctor so it can be cureds, sometime i wonder why i went there on first place...

She is very knowledgeable and made me normal again right before my engagement pictures. She is very compassionate when it comes to her patients and I am glad that I choose her office I would not go anywhere else.

I would leave ZERO stars of I could. This office is horrid and I highly recommend you look elsewhere! My friend went in there for a simple procedure and they lasered THE WRONG SPOT ON HER FACE!! I cannot even tell you how mortified she is. When she reached out to rectify the situation and laser the CORRECT place, they told her she would no longer keep her as a patient.

The care and attention by the staff and doctor Mays is amazing. This was my review when I came into Mays office. Everything was fine untill bill came in. I called and answer I got is “the girl that worked here is no longer with us and she didn’t calculate your payments good”. Seriously? I would be fine with the payment if I didn’t specifically asked every time when I was in the office how much would that be and paid immediately after each appointment. So I ended up paying over $200,00 for something I didn’t approve and was not aware of. Ms. Mays should be more careful who is she hiring. Just horrible, horrible experience and customer service.

Was told that a tiny skin cancer spot on my cheek would only take 2 stitches. I ended up with 5! Not to mention it's now 5 days old and seeping infection and has bubbles around the edge of the wound. I have called the office, it's 2 o'clock, and they say they are at lunch. Seriously in need of an antibiotic. Not a happy patient at this point!

I had passport in September, called to see if they accepted if they did not I would pay cash, Shelby was the name of the person I spoke too, she told me " we do not accept Passport, we are a high class office, we do NOT accept passport " I offered to be cash pay, she denied me . Who tells someone they are a high class office and because of that they can’t accept passport? I’m not sure how to reply to the response sent from whoever, but she REFUSED TO TAKE CASH!

Dr. Mayes and her staff are professional and caring. I had some moles removed from my face for cosmetic reasons. They healed completed within 2 weeks. I am truly amazed and grateful for her technique as it looks beautiful with minimal scarring. The procedures have been preformed in an extremely, timely manner. We have had excellent outcomes from the procedures. The receptionist and assistant are very friendly and cheerful. Dr. Mays explains procedures and exercises patience with questions and concerns. The office space is beautiful!

They also said they couldn’t see me for cash because I was insured. They offered no alternative and never called to follow up. This office may be aesthetically pleasing but the people are two faced and unprofessional.

Take your money elsewhere. My first visit I literally spoke with Dr. Mays for two minutes and she was out the door. I had multiple questions and she didn’t give me the time of day. My second interaction with Mays dermatology wasn't any better. Two days after seeing Dr. Mays, I called to explain that the medicine that she prescribed was causing me to have severe headaches. The nurse told me to come off of the medication and come in for a follow-up appointment to be prescribed something else. Note that each visit cost $93.20, and that is with insurance. After that, I decided to cancel all my appointments. My biggest problem with Dr. Mays dermatology is the fact that they would not reimburse the $150.00 chemical peel that I did not receive. Before I booked the appointment I was told that I had to pay up front for the service and I would be able to cancel at any time and be reimbursed the full amount. This was a lie! When I confronted the management and staff they told me that they would not refund my money even though the lady (with the blond hair at the front desk) told me I could have a full refund if I decided to cancel. This is beyond bad business practice.

My physician told me that I needed to see a dermatologist ASAP, so I called Mays Dermatology. They worked me in immediately and got me an appointment on that same day, which was amazing! Dr. Mays was kind & assessed not only the reaction I was having, but also did a skin examination and answered skincare questions I had. Unfortunately, my allergic reaction was so severe that I did not respond to traditional treatment. Dr. Mays saw me immediately for a second appointment (again on the same day I called) to address my panic when my skin reaction had gotten worse. Dr. Mays and her staff are professional, kind, prompt, & accommodating. The office facility is clean and tranquil... almost spa-like. I received the care that I needed and assure you that Mays Dermatology will not disappoint!

I had to pay $130 for this visit, which I thought in itself was expensive, but maybe worth it. I was sat down and seen for less than five minutes and told there’s nothing they can do to help the fact that my facial hair is disappearing, but if I wanted to come back in a few months they would give me shots in my face, which may or may not help. I was considering this, but then later got another bill for over $170 for that first visit. That’s over $300 out of pocket to be seen for less than five minutes and told they couldn’t help me. Unless they decide to not charge me that $170, I will never go back and make sure anyone I know doesn’t go there. Very disappointed.
