I've posted in the past about how pleased I was with the nurse practitioner I saw while at the office instead of Dr Smith because he was busy with patients. The nurse practitioner was extremely helpful and polite, very knowledgeable. Sad to say I cannot give the same review for the entire office. The phone operators are very poorly trained on what they blame is a poor phone system but I've never seen a phone system that continuously disconnects your calls. That is definitely the operator being rude. Which I've told them about and have given their rudeness straight back to them which seemed to surprise them after I call them out on it. Would also not suggest that you depend on any of the doctors to finish the care they started for you if you're a workers comp case. Was told by Dr Smith at the end of my care from him that they do not give ratings for the testing they send you out for but yet they will determine what restrictions you need. How can a doctor determine what restrictions you have on yourself for working purposes but yet not give you a proper rating on the tests that they order for you? That leaves their patient looking for someone who is willing to pick up the ball that they dropped in finishing your care. I was literally told that there was no use for me to go back there unless I could get workers comp to agree to even more surgeries. Why would a patient go back to a doctor for more surgery when they refuse to finish the care from the first one? All in all I stand by my opinion of the nurse practitioner but the office staff could definitely use more training and the doctors absolutely need to finish the care of their patient. That is beyond rude to even the possibility of malpractice.

Got an MRI done on my ankle today. Machine didn’t boot up correctly from the holiday shutdown. The technician was super nice and supportive throughout the process and got me rescheduled quickly. Got my test results same day. Not what I was hoping for but now I can begin a course for recovery. She even worked extra hours to get everyone done. Fantastic customer service.

Dr Smith is the best of the best. He operated on - and 100% fixed - both of my rotator cuffs, as well as my tennis elbow. In no time was I back at Astanga yoga - and my range of motion had actually increased. All this in my 60s! He is one of the best surgeons in the country for sports injuries, but to me he is the best for any ailments of any joint. He is fixing my knee right now. He is a miracle worker, with the added benefit of great people skills, compassion and empathy. ..... and perfect " bedside manners". He took the time to explain to me what was going on with a injury I had that had Escladed from years of over use due to sports and just everyday physical labor. He told me my best options to try and get it rehabilitated. The very next day I could tell a huge difference pain is very minimum now. I highly recommend Dr. Smith for any of your orthopedic needs.
