I just read several of the reviews and can say that I have been a patient of Dr. Daniel Wendelin for many years and I have never experienced any of the unhappy experiences others have. I trust Dr. Wendelin implicitly with the care of my skin. Dr. Wendelin has always been extremely professional and thorough; taking time to explain things to me as well as always asking me if I have any concerns or questions and takes time to listen and answer if I do. I have recommended Dr. Wendelin to others and feel he is excellent at his profession. During my time as a patient, there have been years that I have had more than a few visits per year, due to the nature of my situation and cannot think of one that was unpleasant. I honestly have not had a lot of dealings with the front desk, other than checking in and checking out, but when I have called in, the lady I have spoken to was very pleasant. I have had to wait a few minutes before being called back but, never more than about 15 minutes.

I have been to several skin doctors and this is the best, most thorough and painless one I've found. From start to finish, everyone was patient, professional, and very welcoming. I don't hesitate to recommend them.

horrible , nice office but not good bed side manner on kahloon's part but trying to give her a chance , worst was the hateful rude nurse with the blond hair , talks over you , very bossy and doesnt listen or care , called me back going off on me after she has called in my sons meds to a store thats almost 2 hours away from me and i said several times the drug store i use , either way i was talked to like a dog over my handicap son that was there to get help with his bleeding skin , this place needs to be reported , i have been to many offices in my time with my son and this was unreal and i will not put up with hateful nurses

If you care about things like actually seeing a doctor anywhere near the time of your appointment, or you expect them to do things like respond to repeated communication attempts by your pharmacy, this is probably not the practice group you're looking for...worst customer experience I've ever had.

Funny how I had this unpleasant experience and then log on to review them and they have a 2.6.........Well I was a patient there and I called today to get an appointment and they said I was considered a new patient because it had been 3 yrs since my last visit which means they can't see me until October. However if I were an existing patient then they could see me in September. This is the problem with private practice.....They can make more money off me if they make me wait and treat me like a new patient. I'll be sure to not refer any of our patients to this place anymore! Terrible customer service but from the rating others must already know this.

Dr. Kahloon and her nurses were rude to me on more than one occasion. I have been seeing her for over a year now and have recently changed doctors because I am completely unsatisfied by their customer service and quite frankly their competency. In one of my recent visits she clearly didn't look at my chart because she was unaware of the fact that I had been seeing her regularly and didn't even know what medication I was taking. She also forgot to prescribe an antibiotic twice and always wanted to send the five medications she has me on to St. Matthews after telling her and her nurses to send it to Walgreens. In another visit she told me to just wash my face differently as if that would cure an acne problem that I have been dealing with for years... Highly recommend anyone else except her.

If possible I would give this 0 star!! My problem is actually with the billing department. Dr Wendelin was great, however I got billed for what my insurance should have paid and when I tried to get it straightened out I was told they can't do anything! I paid this bill so it would not go on my credit report, however if you have a billing problem there is no help from this office! I will NEVER go there again!

My experience at this practice was so poor and unsatisfying that they deserve NO STARS AT ALL. I will preface this review by stating that my doctor was amazing - how the office is run is by no means anything she can control, but for the purpose of this review I must tell you that the way in which I was treated by the staff and management was absolutely unforgivable. I had a follow up appointment scheduled for a year, after arriving on time and patiently waiting an hour past my appointment time I finally asked what the hold up was and was told that there were two patients in line ahead of me and that it would be at least another 45 - 60 minutes before I could be seen by the doctor. WAIT, what?!? TWO HOURS WAIT TIME, that's ridiculous! I'm a working mother with little free time. I can't sit around at a doctor's office for 2 hours before I'm seen... I have work to do and meetings to attend back at the office. It is a workday after all. I allotted more than adequate time for this appointment! Bottom line is this, this office lacks the ability to communicate with patients and has no respect for your resources, be it time or money. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this practice... find another office with better staff and management that will actually care for you.

I have been with this office over 3 years. The staff is friendly and your usually called back into an exam room within 15 minutes after signing in. Dr Mulkey is WONDERFUL. She is very caring and compassionate and went above and beyond with my treatment and even collaborated with other doctors to ensure I had the BEST treatment possible. Thank you Dr. MULKEY! You have really been a Blessing.

Worse dermatologist ever! Their services suck! Been trying to get my daughter machine for her hyperhidosis and this is been since June 1st. It is now August 19th.. horrible

I was impressed with parking and the fact that I was called back at the time of my appointment. I appreciate that I didn't have to wait an hour to be called only to be put in a room to wait again (most places are like this). Would highly recommend! I felt as if they believed my time was valuable.

Went in for acne. First thing doctor says to me, "oh I see you have no history of depression or anxiety so let's try accutane." Clearly didn't even glance at my file because the only thing on it was that I was medicated for depression for over 4 years. Accutane can cause serious depression and sucidal thoughts which I'm not willing to risk. Told them that and that I definitely can't afford it. Got prescribed an antibiotic that burned my skin, even though we determined my acne is not bacterial but indeed hormonal. Said they can prescribe birth control. Went back for second appointment 3 months later and he tried to convince me to do accutane AGAIN. Never going back here because clearly the doctor just wants to give me the most expensive treatment possible and get me out.

Probably the most unprofessional place I have ever been. I saw Dr. Schrodt. I could not believe how careless she was while in the room with me. After finishing a biopsy, she dropped her tools on the floor with my blood all over them. My nurse then cleaned me up with qtips. Dr. Schrodt JERKED them from her and threw them into the sink while standing right next to the proper waste bin. While getting ready to leave I was asked to have my blood drawn to check for disease because Dr. Schrodt cut my nurse with my dirty scalpel. I was shocked. I could tell she paid hardly any attention but to go as far as cutting a nurse with a dirty tool is unacceptable. If I had HIV, this nurses life would have been changed forever because of a filthy and careless doctor. I wish my experience ended there. While leaving my room, I could hear her talking about patients she had seen for the day. Saying, "she's crazy! I hope I never have to treat her again." And also, "she has all of these problems because she's so over weight." I've called to complain several times and I'm told EVERY TIME that the office manager is eating lunch or out to lunch. Must be nice to take lunch at all times or the day. Can't even get a call back. Find another place to visit. I don't even know how this place is still open!

My experience with Dermatology Associates never got past a phone call to the receptionist who answers incoming calls. I went online to find a dermatologist in Louisville who had a good Google ranking. DA in Louisville ranked toward the top. I called this office on Thursday Nov 10th. I explained that I am a 51 year old male and noticed over the past 2 months skin discoloration in my lower shoulder area. I would be considered a new patient to this office. The receptionist coldly stated "we can get you in on January 17th". I asked if that is the best they could do and she responded "that is when we are scheduling out". Fortunately for me someone was looking out for me because the next call I made was to a plastic surgeon's office (they were for some reason listed under Dermatology online). The person who answered at that office listened to me carefully and then explained that they do not perform those types of exams but she suggested first I contact my family doctor or she can provide some recommendations. I did contact my family doctor and they said they will move another patients appointment and for me to come in Saturday morning (in just 2 days). I had a biopsy done and 3 days later it came back as Stage II melanoma. I had surgery to remove the melanoma December 1. I did not call Dermatology Associates because I had acne on my chin and wanted Accutane. The receptionist should have been properly trained to listen and evaluate each caller’s condition. I was clear in explaining that the discoloration had grown aggressively. If I waited 8 weeks for an appointment, the melanoma probably would have spread to the point where I could be facing the prospect of major surgery of my lymph nodes and possible death by the age of 52. Based on just this one phone call, I would never recommend Dermatology Associates unless you want to be treated like a herd of cattle.

I have been a patient at Dermatology Associates for many years. I have always had a positive experience. All the staff are kind and compassionate. Dr. Schrodt has been awesome! I feel that Dermatology Associates saved my mom's life by discovering a cancerous lump on her breast during an examination. Mom had surgery removed one of her breasts and the doctor who did the surgery said that if this lump had not been discovered it would have been terminal for mom. I have nothing but thanks and praise for Dermatology Associates!

Dr. Taylor Mulkey goes out of her way to educate patients, and help them feel comfortable. Her staff is equally efficient and professional. The offices are clean and parking is convenient. I highly recommend Dermatology Associates!

Only gave 1 star bc I had to . WORST care EVER !! I've been a patient for almost 4 years , tries several different doctors & medications , NONE which seemed to work . Everytime I go they take at least 30 minutes to call their patients back to a room . I was told it takes 3 months for medication to work , and they just guess what will work . So I am supposed to wait 3 months to figure out if something works or not ? At that rate it could take a year before my acne clears . A certified doctor shouldn't GUESS , in my opinion especially at MY cost of medication . Oral pills and topical cream. I recently found out I was pregnant, the desk worker took a message and my phone number so doctor could reach me even though ALL the paperwork I had filled out should have had my phone number on it so she shouldn't have asked at all but I gave her my cell phone number . 3 hours later they called MY HOUSE PHONE ?! what idiots . I think every doctor is only worried about their paychecks . Acne can be very rough on a woman's confidence especially during her child bearing years and especially to a pregnant woman . The last thing I want to feel like is ugly when I look in the mirror . Very terrible and I'm extremely unhappy !!!!

My husband and I had appointments to see Dr. James Loveless today. We were extremely pleased with our visit. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. Dr. Loveless was exceptional! He addressed all of our concerns, and did full body exams to assess any problems. He was friendly, yet very professional. He took his time examining each of us, and made us feel comfortable. He treated any questionable/precancerous spots that needed it, at that time. We would highly recommend Dr.Loveless and Dermatology Associates. We were also seen within 5-10 minutes of our appointment time. Dr. Loveless also thanked us several times for coming to see him. We will definitely return to see him for check-ups and any concerns.

Appt was at 3:00 and didn't get called back until 4:00. Then sat in the room for another 15 minutes. Had this issue the last 2 times we've been here. Ridiculous and unprofessional. Seems you need to anticipate at least 2 hour minimum for appts. here!

Last visit was an hour behind time to see dr. Today ,9;45, I was again on time and was then notified dr running an hour behind time again. I left and will find another dr that appreciates my time. They have no trouble emailing you to remind you of appt to not be late

We came here to get our twins’ ears pierced. The first time they appropriately pierced one child, but cartilage pierced my 6 month old baby. They removed the one earring that was cartilage pierced and told us to return to have it redone in two weeks. Two weeks later we return and they cartilage pierced my baby again. Rude and ignorant Dr. Kahloon was told to remove the cartilage piercing. She said she was going to remove it as a favor, but did not have to remove it. Excuse me, you are going to mutilate my child’s ear and then refuse to remedy it? I firmly told the doctor to do her job. The doctor said it was too hostile being told to remove the earring and walked away. Additionally, she told me she did not tell us to come back in two weeks, when she had. Calling a patient a liar is a new one for me, but most unacceptable. The ghetto morbidly obese assistant acted like she was going to manhandle us. This place is GHETTO and ill equipped to function. For the record Dr. Kahloon did not remove the earring and just walked away. The first time Dr. Kahloon went into a plethora of excuses about her kid needing her ears pierced three times to make it work and 30 minutes of straight bull. I was not listening to it this time and just wanted my baby cared for properly. Dr. Kahloon is a liability as she lies and is ill equipped to mentally process facts from her own mouth. I will be filing a complaint against her license. Practices like this should be shut down.

Was a patient and recently when my prescription thats ive been on for many years needed to be renewed they said I have to come in for a visit first . Well that's fine but the only time an appointment could be made was in 3 weeks, which means I had to quit my topical steroids suddenly which can be problematic. I would have been fine coming in but I believe my long term prescription should have been renewed in the interim. Shocked but they wouldnt budge and now i'm looking for a new dermatologist.
