I wanted to send along an atypical operation thank you to Dr Bennett- 15 years later. Recently I visited my optometrist for a regular eye check up and was pleased to learn that so many years after my LASIK procedure I still have better than 20/20 vision. The technology was amazing back then for my procedure but I diligently researched all the physicians who specialize in LASIK and I couldn’t be more pleased with the expert skills of Dr Bennett. Because of his abilities, I have been able to enjoy more than a decade free from my eye glasses and contacts. I couldn’t even make out the large “E” on the eye chart as my vision uncorrected was very poor. It is a blessing to have physicians who can make such a remarkable difference in quality of life and I am very thankful for my new vision every single day I wake up and see my beautiful family. Some of my close family members are nearsighted and when they are ready to consider LASIK in the future there, is not a question that I will help them schedule an appointment with Dr Bennett. The Drs are the best. The only drawback for me is the long long wait. When you get called back you are then put in another room for a very long wait,however ,that must mean the Drs are doing their job,so it's worth it!

I used to have a lot of respect for the people that worked at this place especially the opthamologist but when I'm refused a particular type of treatment that would squash the issue that I'm having with seeing things that are not there, which has become especially Troublesome when I'm driving which prompted me to have a car accident thinking that I was moving into another cars pathway when there wasn't anything there but out of the corner of my eye I saw a floater and I thought that there was something there so I swerved back into the lane that I was coming out of only to bash into another vehicle that had moved into the lane that I had halfway vacated. I made them aware of this issue that I've been having with the vision thing which I wasn't having before they started having me take eye drops that causes cataracts that ensured that I would have to have surgery, eventually, to correct that issue which has only made everything actually worse.

I went here for Laser Refraction surgery in late 2017. I had cataracts and decided to give this a try. When I had cataracts, the biggest problem was driving at night because of the glare. Well, now I don't have glasses, that's good, but surgery left me with an even worse glare. The Bennett & Bloom doctors were like, "give it time". I have. If anything. It's worse. They did clear up some fogging that I had from the procedure, but I was left with permanent spots in my eye. The doctor wanted to test for glaucoma, all of this, he told me was part of the surgery follow-up so after paying nearly $3000 for the surgery out of pocket, I appreciated that--until I got BILLED. Now I have to pay $60 more out of pocket, and I have vision problems like glaring at night and new spots on my eyes that can't be corrected by lenses. Enjoy your $60 Bennett and Bloom. Thanks for ruining my eyes. And I waited obscene time amounts in most of my appointments too. UPDATE: Yes, you offered me an appointment that I would PAY for. Why would I PAY you to try to fix the problems that I feel you caused? Heck, why would I even trust you for free anymore? You do know what the definition of insanity is, right? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Your doctors have already told me to accept the bad glaring of my eyes since it was one of the "risks". More people on here should expect those risks.

I went in and saw Stephen Bloom. My appt wait was short. He was to the point; not much of a bedside manner, but as far as ding his job he was great. Very professional. My sugar even dropped while I was there. I could tell because my tongue started buzzing and the nurses gave me orange juice and peanut butter crackers. They were very sweet. Then he asked did they get you something and I said yes. He wondered if I thought it was enough and I said yes. I have optic neuralgia which he did say it would come and go and right now it was fine. But told my neuro I had optic retinopathy. I would say if you want someone that is courteous, prompt, knowledgeable and quick,; to they point, diagnosis and then moved on. Then he is your man. As appt was on time, didn't take long, he was too the point. I will continue to go to him.

Prior to visiting Bennett & Bloom eye Centers, I had the misfortune of visiting John Kenyon where visits took on average four hours with much time sitting around and waiting. The operations of Bennett & Bloom ar so efficient, The most time per visit has been one hour and that included injection of Avastin which takes longer due to time for numbing the eye. This practice has its act together and knows what they are doing. Would recommend them very highly.

I completely agree with Bill. I unfortunately went to John Kenyon eye centers first and saw their 40 year old technology and was offered a procedure that would have been detrimental to my eyes. Luckily I went in for a second opinion at Bennett and Bloom and they suggested Visian ICL. Not knowing what this was I went to a renowned eye center and they informed me that the Kenyon people were idiots and the Bloom guys were the way to go. Couldn't have been happier with my procedure, better than 20/20 with practically no side effects!

Drs Bloom, Singal, and Lanham have taken excellent care of me...Last year I literally had to jump off a cruise ship before it departed...I needed an emergency eye procedure...Dr Lanham gave me her personal contact info and met me at the office within 15 mins of me landing at the airport after hours on a Saturday night....Dr Singal arrived shortly there after...They evaluated my condition and set me on course for recovery...I was nervous...They were re-assuring...always professional....My thanks to Bennett & Bloom.

Never go to an emergency room if you have a problem with your eyes! They may blind you. Call Bennett and Bloom they have a 24 hour call. Dr Zagorianos saved my eyesight! Some times the wait is very long. However, they will NEVER turn anyone away. They will take care of you no matter what. We are very lucky to have this practice in Louisville. Over the months sitting in the waiting rooms I have heard horror stories about others. Bennett and Bloom are the best!

Been waiting to see Dr. since 2 today. It's now 3:47. I seen 6 people leave the lobby that I did not see go in. So I guess it's a 2 hour wait to see someone here. I do not suggest bringing children with you.

Great staff, excellent service...long waits in lobby.....with CNN on the big tv.....would rather watch paint dry...or watch my finger nails grow....bad choice of channels. PLEASE change your TVs to HGTV or Weather Channel......I should have asked if we could change the channel...but there were 15 others in the waiting room and I didn't want to rock the boat.
