I would definitely recommend the Arthritis Center of Lexington. I have always gotten great maintenance treatment and immediately gotten appointments if I have a flare up. Dr. Goldfarb (retired) was great and now I see Dr. Brown and have been very pleased with the care that I receive.

I think they are great. I have one problem with getting my meds and I had just been to see Dr. Neal. It is long story. But I still give them a 5 star. I have been going there about 2 years, I think now. And I can get right thru to the assistant and she usually gets back to me the day of the call. Dr. Neal is wonderful. I have been a patient of Dr. Goldfarb's for years and think he is an excellent physician. However, his clinical staff has always been indifferent and/or rude. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis and have been on Lyrica, a controlled substance, for pain control. Our insurance recently changed and I received a letter saying pre-authorization is required for refills. I called the ACL and asked what I needed to do and was told they needed a copy of the new card before they could process. This had to be mailed or faxed (not emailed). I have had issues before with refills not being done promptly enough so I opted to personally take my card in to be copied (100 mile round trip). I gave the card to a young woman named Mackenzie explained that I need a pre-authorization now and that I would be going out of town for business the following week and would be out of my medicine the following weekend. This was the 10th of January. I called on the 16th and left a message for the doctor's clinical staff to make sure it was taken care of. I didn't receive a call back as usual. I went to my pharmacy on the 17th and it wasn't done yet. They called the ACL and left 2 messages while I ran errands. I returned to the pharmacy and they called a third time and stayed on the line till they actually spoke to the doctor's clinical staff, Lulu. Lulu said she was told it needed to be done before the next refill, clearly not bothering to see when that might be. I had left a very detailed message both with Mackenzie and on VM for Lulu. This was a week later, on a Friday and Monday is a holiday and Tuesday I have to go out of state again with no medicine. I've had enough. I was so angry on the 17th, I left a message for the doctor which I'm sure he never received. I am going to try and get by with going to my PCP from now on. You can never get a call back and the staff there have the least compassion for the suffering of others I have ever seen in a medical setting. These folks would be far better suited in an environment where they didn't deal with patients who live with pain daily, perhaps in some cosmetic medical field if in the medical field at all.

After a lengthy hospital stay and follow up appt. medical assistants are rude and dismissive. I wish Lexington had another practice. Of all the doctors office's I've experienced Lexington arthritis has treated me most rude and harshly look elsewhere for help. doctors are competent but that's 5% of a visit 95% is provided by cold staff that make illnesses feel even worse

I have been going to Dr. Kelly Cole for almost twenty years. She is one of the top best doctors I've ever had. She has a broad background and perspective of other possible related health issues that may enter into arriving at a better diagnosis, and therefore, an overall better health treatment. When I go into her office, I know her full attention is focused on me. She is smiling, warm & personable, doesn't rush--yet her mind stays on topic, exploring various related aspects that may have a bearing on my condition. In my opinion, Dr. Cole "thinks outside the box" & tends to find a broader perspective of my conditions and treatments. She makes me feel like my doctor is my trusted friend.

First the doctor I was referred to see wasn't who I seen, it had been changed. I was told the Doctors set aside 45 minutes for first time visits, I was in there a total of 10 minutes. Doctor Hatfield acted like he didn't even want to be in the room. Didn't help one bit. I wouldn't recommend anyone go here. Was basically told he wouldn't treat me, although X-Rays clearly show I need help from someone. Oh well, 3 hour drive and co-pay down the drain. There are better ones out there.

My husband has severe rheumatoid arthritis. He was seeing Dr. Eagan, she retired and he became Dr. Alexander's patient. They kept rescheduling his appointments, having him see the nurse practitioner. Last month Dr. Alexander made it a point to see him herself. She was very rude, telling him that people like him with no insurance, cause them to lose money. She was more worried about insurance than his actual care. She never checked his joints or anything.

I have been a patient for 20 + years. My quality of life is certainly enhanced by the good care and attention from the staff. Dr. Rita Egan has been so good to me over the years. I trust her guidance in helping me manage Lupus over the years. She and her staff are diligent in their good efforts of maintaining excellence with my care. I have enjoyed seeing the practice grow over the years. The growth has allowed them to expand services such as infusion therapies, bone scans, and Physician Assistants. They have added doctors to meet the needs of their growth. I do not hesitate to see the PA because they are excellent! We are very fortunate in Central Ky to have the Arthritis Center of Lexington!

She would take the time to listen to me and I never felt rushed. The staff too, has always been friendly and attentive. I highly recommend the Arthritis Center of Lexington. Dr. Cole is great. She takes her time with you. She is very though. When you leave her office you feel like you have really been taken seriously and Dr. Cole will take care of exactly what she tells you. When I see her, I immediately feel comfortable and I am going to be ok. I really look forward to my visits with her. In fact, I have one this Thursday. The other doctors I have heard nothing but good stuff about them. Only bad thing I have heard, hard to get in to see them but you can get an appointment. It is worth waiting when it comes to your health. Nothing but the best. AFL is worth the wait.

They were very caring and attentive. Even with a room full of patients waiting, they took time to thoroughly go over all problems and issues, explain everything and answer questions. If I had to wait a while for my appointment, I knew it was because they were doing the same for all patients and the wait was worth it.

I have been a patient of the Arthritis Center of Lexington for several years, Dr. Kelly Cole for the last two. Dr. Cole takes the time with her patients to thoroughly discuss all that the patient is going through. I'm finding that more of my medical problems are directly related to my arthritis. If I had not spent this time with her, I would not be receiving the correct treatment. By taking the time we need, it does make her run behind sometimes, but now that I am one of the patients who discuss all my medical issues with her, I appreciate the reason. There are other doctors that stay on time.

Sorry to say but my review is much like some of the others which is unfortunate. I saw my rheumatologist about a year and a half ago and was told that I could get an appointment with the same physician the following week. Not a problem. About an hour later, I received a call that I would have to come in as a "new patient" because it had been longer than a year since my last appointment. The "new patient" status requires a 30 minute time frame and the next available appointment was in over one month. I asked if I could see a different physician and get in sooner but that is not their policy. So, I declined to be seen entirely because the problem needs to be addressed now.Just needed an x-ray. Doesn't require 30 minutes of conversation. Disappointed.
