The initial consult went well enough, but when I came in for a simple procedure, after waiting for an hour and 30 minutes I mentioned it to the nurse and the response was "yea we usually run a little behind". I was then told it would be another 15 minutes. So if you make an appointment, plan on it taking half of your day. Other than that, dr McCune is very caring and knowledgeable.

The followup for this practice in unbelievable. I had a biopsy in early June now July 11 and still don't know the results. I have left 2 voice mails and no return phone calls. The last time I visit this practice.

Waited over a month for an appointment with the PA. I was told when I walked in that it was a 'slow day' yet the PA rushed through my visit, couldn't give me prices for procedures recommended (I understand insurance might cover but can't I know their price??) and ran out so fast I forgot to ask about another skin issues I wanted to find out about treating. The assistant came back in and said they didn't have time to answer my question and to schedule another office visit. That's not gonna happen! See ya!

This is the best Dermatology office in the midwest, by a long shot! Dr. Mccune has worked with me since I was a VERY small boy and has made my life enjoyable and manageable. They use progressive, forward thinking methods and have a VERY high level of customer service. If you are shopping or considering different Dermatology Teams, stop now. This is 100% the place to go!

Dr. McCuine was very attentive to my questions and concerns. He gave a thorough consultation. He did not hurry me or rush my procedures. Yes, there can be a long wait before getting in to see Dr. McCuine. He always apologized if I had to wait. It was worth the wait to have such an attentive professional helping me with my problem. There is a nice relaxing waiting room with complimentary coffee and/or water and nice polite staff. Bring a book because it is worth the wait!

I went to this facility with after battling a horrible outbreak from head to toe with psoriasis many years ago. At that time, I had no true diagnosis. I went to at least 5 other doctors before trying this office. Once I got into the room, the dermatologist asked me what was going on. I unzipped my jacket and she was alarmed. She said she had never seen anything like it before. She immediately called Dr. McCune and he came in to assist her. Dr. McCune was so brilliant and thorough. He immediately started explaining to her the issues with my skin. He set me up on medications that I started seeing results from immediately. He had a biopsy done to ensure we were on the proper path. No other doctor has ever taken the time to resolve my issues the way he did, won’t do biopsies and only offer steroid treatments. I was so thankful to see him. Unfortunately, I do not live in the state anymore. But I am considering incurring travel expenses to be treated by him now for current issues that no doctors can seem to treat. I see some people are unhappy with the wait time. After visiting 5 doctors, spending tons of money on the visits, medications and missing days from work... being treated at this facility and actually having true results and resolutions to my problem would be well worth the wait. An example of how the doctor can be late... I had an appointment but it was not with Dr. McCune. They pulled him from wherever he was to give me the necessary attention my case needed. So that probably happens with many others and I can be understanding of that.

Doctor ran nearly two hours late. Nurse said he typically runs an hour late, but I was never told that when booking or checking in. Find another doctor who respects your time.

THE BEST CONSULTATION! Today, I went to see Dr. McCune about a couple of procedures and first talked with Theresa prior to talking with him. My wait was only about 10 minutes. The consultation with my husband and I was around and hour. Theresa talked briefly with us first about the procedures we are interested in and then Dr. McCune came in and discussed them further. He was very thorough with questions so that we could go forward with the best possible treatment. I am eager to continue and determine when I can have the procedure I came to learn about.

Wait time is unacceptable!!! My appointment was at 2:30 pm. Waited to be called back for about 15 minutes. Once in the room and directed to strip to only my underwear in a cold exam room I waited another 45 minutes to be seen. I took paid time off work for this. My time is valuable. Why do doctors think this is acceptable? Got news for you, it’s not!!!

I am still waiting for Biopsy results from a month ago. Called in to their office all week and have not been able to talk to my Nurse Practitioner or Triage Nurse about my results. Super disappointed in their lack of follow up. Finally, had to go back in person to get my results.

I have been going to this office for about 7 years now. The doctors and staff are excellent but the wait time is RIDICULOUS. My yearly check took over an hour and a half last year, most of which was spent in the waiting room. I had an appointment for this week and asked the receptionist if they were running on time and she replied that they were. I waited 20 minutes in the waiting area and then she notified me that she'd just found out that the NP was running another 20 minutes behind. I rescheduled my appointment and appreciated the receptionist letting me know since I'd already wasted 20 minutes and the 20 minutes it takes me to get back and forth from my office. I left work to go to the appointment and I don't have an hour to wait just to get into a room. I think they are scheduling too many appointments per hour and then everyone just has to wait. If it happens again, I will find a new practice.

Be prepared to wait a MINIMUM of 30 minutes, before being seen! Then, since I was being seen more for appearance reasons, not skin cancer, I was told I needed to pay at time of visit and that insurance would not be billed. I owed $200 for my second visit and they refused to accept a post dated check and hold onto it! They billed my insurance which paid more than $200 then billed me for $295! On my first visit the nurse practitioner said it looked as if I had skin cancer beneath my left eye. Told her to biopsy. Her response was, you are here for acne, you need to make another appointment for that. Made another appointment and was informed I didn't schedule enough time for the biopsy. The old bat at the front desk is beyond rude!! Also, once you think you can FINALLY leave the office, it takes 5 minutes to get estimate of cost for future procedures. None of which included the biopsy! THEN you have to wait for around 5 minutes to pay and another 2-3 minutes to schedule your next appointment! AND if you have to deal with old bat, you have to put up with her rude attitude! Never going back!

I have used this office in the past with no complaints. I have referred several people here as well. However.....my experience today.....I left absolutely fuming! I had a 10am appt which I arrived early as I knew I would need to update information and yet be ready for my scheduled appt time. At 10:25 I went to the desk and asked the 2 gals at the front desk how much longer and they looked at each other as though they had NO clue as to what was going on and after asking my name (which I had filled out all new paperwork I would think they would have known).....anyway.....their response was..."I think just waiting on a room". Well funny thing........ another patient who arrived 30-40 minutes AFTER my scheduled appt time was taken back!!! So apparently "waiting on a room" was not true. I am not an unreasonable person. I understand things happen, appts can run long, etc., HOWEVER, to not let a patient know you are running behind and maybe an apology is absolutely uncalled for and RUDE! Once again "someone" thinks their time is more valuable than mine. I would also like to say that I waited until 9:00 at night to post anything thinking MAYBE I would have received a phone call from someone explaining what happened. Evidently they don't value their patients or care that this is how their patients are treated.

Dr McCune is most definitely the go to dermatologist in the area! Dr McCune and his office staff are compassionate and friendly beyond expectation! My experience was of the utmost satisfaction! If you are researching dermatologists for whatever reason go to the best!

I was in and out quickly. My treatment was accurate, and pleasant. Matt a P.A. was especially noteworthy. He was sincerely interested in my symptoms.
