Hmm. Kinda weired all of a sudden I get a call from a nurse saying we don't believe in that type of inhaler .we will refill it this one time.he needs to be seen somewhere else. If that was a problem in the beginning they should have said it this in the begging.In have dealt with nothing but attitude. It is more like a personal gossip office.I don't under stand why they are discriminating against my family but it sucks. I'm sure this doesn't apply to people they know and who are high up there in the status . But that's Lawrence for ya, it's who ya know. Sorry I'm not up to their social standards.

I used to love going here and we loved Dr Evans but over the last couple months, it's been completely unacceptable and horrible! My son's insurance got screwed up through the company and we found out when we went to our appointment and were told that the insurance was cancelled. We got on the phone with the insurance company and they told us they were fixing the issue and that the coverage would be backdated to the date of cancellation. We let the front desk know and instead of seeing us, we were told that they wouldn't see us at all and to go to a clinic. We decided to just reschedule since we didn't feel comfortable bringing our son to a clinic since we had some concerns we wanted to talk to his doctor about. By the time of the reschedule, the insurance wasn't fixed and they told us this time we needed to pay the whole visit out of pocket and that the WHOLE payment would be refunded to us once the insurance paid them. They didn't give a damn about seeing our son and making sure his concerns were met - they wanted the money in their hands right then and there. I messaged them when I saw that the claim was paid and was informed that they won't issue any sort of refund until they receive the refund directly from the insurance company!! I saw that his account was credited on 11/20 for the refund from the insurance company and weeks went by with no check from the pediatricians office. I sent another message asking where my refund was and they STILL haven't sent out the check. One of his other claims is pending and they're docking the refund to me for that amount until they get the payment!! Completely illegal and unethical! I was promised and told I would get the full refund for the visit which is what the refund was for! I DO NOT recommend this office to anyone and will be fililng multiple complaints with the AG's office and the county. I refuse to go to a doctor's office who can give a damn less about the children they're treating. Even our new pediatrician, and our insurance company, said that's a horrible way to conduct business and the child's needs should be first. That's such shameful behavior to turn your backs on a child!

They would set an appointment and I would get there and be told it was earlier then what we had scheduled absolutely do not ever plan on taking my kids back to this office

Dr. Jacobs was absolutely wonderful with my 2 year old son, who was recently diagnosed with autism and is generally anxious around doctors. She was insightful, thoughtful, intuitive, caring, dedicated and I could go on and on! We are thrilled to have found her.

The one and only star that I have to give is due to Dr. Evans and Dr. Jacobs. But before you take your kids here, you need to be aware that the rest of the office/medical staff is HORRIBLE! We had been with this practice for over 5 yrs when I received a certified letter kicking us out of the practice. I immediately called to see what it was about. Molly was extremely rude from the moment she answered the phone. She asked if she could put me on hold for "2 seconds", which turned into 5 minutes. She didn't tell me she was transferring me so when Shelly, the office manager, picked up the phone, I let her know that I was holding for Molly. Again, I received very rude, snarky behavior. She informed me of her job title and asked what I needed. I tried repeatedly to understand why we had gotten kicked out of the practice to which I was told I had a past due account. I let them know that we had moved and that I hadn't received any statements from them. That my FSA account was set up to automatically pay the provider if there was a balance due. I asked when statements we're sent and she couldn't answer me straight at all. I was placed on numerous holds while she "tried to understand what was going on". Ultimately, after 30 min, I was told someone from billing would need to call me to explain it to me and that this was in their Financial Policy (I'm assuming that I signed off on 5+ years ago?) Today is May 24th. I was told they sent me a statement in January and February and due to my lack of response, I am no longer welcome back at their practice. The last time we were in the office was October, when I asked if there was a balance due (like always) and paid in full. We moved in November to a different city. I don't care about the money. I will gladly pay them if I owe them money. I do care about how it was handled which was extremely unprofessional in my opinion. Again, medical care was wonderful. Do not waste your time with all the other nonsense this office will put you through.

We love both Dr Evans and Dr Jacobs! They take their time, listen, and don't make you feel stupid for asking questions :) All the nurses are wonderful too and are so quick and helpful on the phone. We've been to a few pediatrics offices, and Lawrence Peds is by far the best!

I recommend this place to all the parents in Lawrence. My daughter was taken care by Dr. Jacobs since she was born until four months, after which our family moved out of the town due to my career change. Dr. Jacobs was extremely nice and capable of handling a variety of concerns/situations we had with our baby. The stuff members and nurses were friendly and responsible. All of my phone calls can be responded in a timely manner. My wife and I had an opportunity to meet Dr. Evans and she was also very nice and explained/addressed our questions.

Love the doctors here. I always get seen at our appointment time with no wait. The doctors are thorough and have simple solutions and really want to know what you as a parent have for input in your child’s care. The nurses are so sweet and are really comforting when your child needs shots. I like this practice, because I don’t get lost in the shuffle.

Closed at 450 when its suspose to close at 5. No place should do that especially with working parents that have to rush from work.

Dr. Evans has been a life saver for my family. I switched to her about 3 years ago and she quickly diagnosed my daughters issue that had been misdiagnosed and mistreated for years... I was finally able to get my child some relief from what she had been suffering from. I think this Dr. is very knowledgeable about children and has always been good at explaining what is going on and how to follow up with treatment. My kids love seeing Dr. Evans! Highly recommend her!
