The one and only star that I have to give is due to Dr. Evans and Dr. Jacobs. But before you take your kids here, you need to be aware that the rest of the office/medical staff is HORRIBLE!
We had been with this practice for over 5 yrs when I received a certified letter kicking us out of the practice. I immediately called to see what it was about. Molly was extremely rude from the moment she answered the phone. She asked if she could put me on hold for "2 seconds", which turned into 5 minutes. She didn't tell me she was transferring me so when Shelly, the office manager, picked up the phone, I let her know that I was holding for Molly. Again, I received very rude, snarky behavior. She informed me of her job title and asked what I needed. I tried repeatedly to understand why we had gotten kicked out of the practice to which I was told I had a past due account. I let them know that we had moved and that I hadn't received any statements from them. That my FSA account was set up to automatically pay the provider if there was a balance due. I asked when statements we're sent and she couldn't answer me straight at all. I was placed on numerous holds while she "tried to understand what was going on". Ultimately, after 30 min, I was told someone from billing would need to call me to explain it to me and that this was in their Financial Policy (I'm assuming that I signed off on 5+ years ago?)
Today is May 24th. I was told they sent me a statement in January and February and due to my lack of response, I am no longer welcome back at their practice. The last time we were in the office was October, when I asked if there was a balance due (like always) and paid in full. We moved in November to a different city.
I don't care about the money. I will gladly pay them if I owe them money. I do care about how it was handled which was extremely unprofessional in my opinion.
Again, medical care was wonderful. Do not waste your time with all the other nonsense this office will put you through.
