I am new to Kansas and was very apprehensive about finding new doctors here. I have now seen Dr. Riggs a number of times, including for a minor surgery. I can't say enough positive words about her! Besides being caring, and knowledgeable, she is a wonderful "teacher." She explained things to me in a way that I was able to understand, and be a part of my medical decision making. When I am with her, I feel as though she has no other patients in the world, and she is willing to give me as much time as needed. I feel lucky to have a doctor that I truly trust and respect.

Loved Dr. Riggs during most of my pregnancy. Unfortunately I went into preterm labor while she was on her own maternity leave. When I started having symptoms I called and they told me to "put my feet up". I believe this was Dr. Bennet. Wellllll my water broke that night (32 weeks) and dr whoever acted like I was a total inconvenience. Showed up 4 hours later with her little coffee while my baby was in distress. Thank God I was transferred to Overland Park.

I've seen Dr. Riggs two years in a row for well woman exams and have had a great experience each time. She takes her time, listens to my questions, and answers them honestly and thoughtfully. I never feel rushed. Anytime I've called, my calls were returned in a timely manner. Dr. Riggs has even called me herself with test results. Regarding the complaint about an ob gyn running late...please know this is never their intention. There may have been a surgery, delivery, procedure or other medical issue that required their extended time and attention.

I highly recommend Dr. Underwood. She makes you feel like you matter as a patient and is willing to listen.

I've had my issues blown off by Dr. Riggs twice now. The only two times that I've tried to see her she didn't take my issues seriously, and she's made it seem like if I'm not pregnant, she's not really interested in caring for me. I also ended up sitting in the exam room for over two hours, wearing nothing but a hospital gown, waiting for her to show up. OB/GYN services are supposed to be about more than just whether a woman is a broodmare or not. I have a history of endometriosis and it's clear that my symptoms and cycles have changed and the only response I get is "Well, take another pregnancy test in a week." Thanks, but no thanks. I'll be finding someone else.

Too bad there is no option to give no stars or minus, because I will give 10 times 10 minuses. I still have very bad experience with Dr. Riggs, she seems caring, but she is not. She doesn't care about you or your unborn child. I'm originally from different country and I had never had such a bad experience with a doctor before. Currently I'm 13 weeks with my first and I have been sick and exhausted all the time. And I will go to work exhausted and not feeling well and also I lost some weight from about 100 lbs I'm currently 88 lbs and continue to lose. Some aspects of my job require to push and pull 40 lbs food cart in varies weather conditions, which I don't have the same physical strength to do anymore. My employer provided me with paperwork so I can take few weeks off and start feeling myself again, and possibly start gaining some healthy weight back. This doctor however thinks I'm ok, and she is not concerned how I feel and she thinks that I'm healthy enough to do my job as before. In my country this won't be an issue at all, but here seems I'm only a contract that I sign with this OB.

I am so appalled by the practices for pregnant women at this establishment. I used to attend the Women's Healthcare Group and they were amazing. I miss them so much, but now their only office is in Overland Park. I called to find a doctor for my second pregnancy and they scheduled me 8 weeks out with a Nurse Practitioner. Ok what about all of the medication I am currently on, what about informing a new mom of what food to eat and what not to eat. I was also informed that even if my insurance would cover it they do not do an "early" pregnancy ultrasound, they use a stethoscope. What about complications with the pregnancy that can be spotted that early on?!! I am appalled and will be driving from Topeka to Overland Park to the Women's Healthcare group because they actually care for their patients. They scheduled me a consultation the day AFTER I called at 5 weeks.

I highly, highly recommend the midwives in the Ob Gyn unit. For my first, I knew from the start I wanted to do an all-natural birth. The midwives supported that decision whole-heartedly, gave me suggestions to manage the pain and a backup plan in case I changed my mind. Now I'm back with my second child, seeing Pam Pray again, and she's a god send. I've had a few complications, and Pam is constantly checking in on me to make sure everything is going alright with the medications I've been placed on. As long as I live in Lawrence, I will continue using the midwives at LMH.

I had Dr. Riggs as my obgyn and she's so wonderful. I've never been so comfortable with a doctor during pregnancy. Her staff is great as well

My wife has had both of our children at LMH using this office and Doctor Mercado. Really great place and they listen to what the mother wants to do.

there are not enough words in all the languages I speak to express how great Kelly is! Just an outstanding, awesome, fantastic doctor! I was very lucky to meet her and become her patient, if there was an option to add more stars in this review - this is what I would do here!

If I could rate this zero I would. I sent my daughter who recently got out of the Army to his facility after a very good experience of my own. She is a first time mother and this was her first appointment. Not only did she not get to meet her doctor at all, but they told her there was a problem with the baby , then told her the referral hadn't come through and couldn't see her. Then said the billing was good to go and sent her down for a sonogram. A few hours later said they didn't know they had to get pre-approval and she might have to pay for the visit AND sonogram. THEN they called and rescheduled 4 of her upcoming appointments. I have no idea what is going on but after only one visit she is totally upset and looking for an OB she can trust and who is capable of getting something right.

I had incredible pain for years that sent me to the emergency room. My (previous) PCP sent me to gastroenterologists, and gave me pain meds. I went to his suggested OB/GYN for a transvaginal ultrasound, and they found nothing. I had a uterine ablation, still they found nothing. I was in the ER several times a month in such excruciating pain that I literally wanted to die, and they were simply not able to determine what was wrong with me. I was given several "women are generally crazy, so you must have interstitial cystitis or Irritable Bowel Syndrome" mis-diagnoses. No one could help me, and I was ready to give up all hope. Finally, a wonderful nurse who was treating me for the second time in a week suggested I go to Dr. Riggs. She IMMEDIATELY requested an MRI, and I was diagnosed with adenomyosis. My pain was very real, and it finally mattered to someone. I felt heard, I felt cared for. And I trusted her completely with my hysterectomy. She took amazing care of me, and my concerns were all addressed. I credit Dr. Riggs for saving my life. I cannot imagine living with the pain I was in, and she took the time to truly listen to me. After being blown off by so many others, I consider her an angel. My life is 100% better now, and I can't thank her enough!
