I have been trying to resolve a billing error with this practice for a full year. Last summer I was billed twice for one visit by their old billing service. I mistakenly paid twice, but was never reimbursed for the double payment. I have tried repeatedly to contact the billing office manager (Diane) - made phone calls and sent certified letters, followed by more letters and calls, but have not received calls back, nor have I been reimbursed. I am a former medical practice manager and am well aware of billing issues that arise in medical business offices. The amount that I am owed is small, but over-billing patients and retaining payment by the practice is fraudulent activity at any amount.

Dr. Belieu is an excellent physician. As a long-time patient, I have found her to be consistently easy to talk with and feel that she is always looking out for me and my health. On top of that, I have never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for her to see me - - she is always on schedule!

I've been going to Dr. Marty Thomas for 30+ years. My friends go to her as well. She knows each and every one of us and our personalities. She wants to know what is going on in our lives and we have candid conversations about life and health. I wouldn't want it any other way. I was even lucky enough with a city and practice of this size that she delivered both of my babies. If you like personable, direct, practical and not sugar coated conversations then she is the doctor for you. I hope to continue seeing her for a long time to come. I have always had excellent care from the Kansas City Women’s Clinic and I have seen doctors at this clinic for almost 30 years. Office staff are courteous, nurses are knowledgeable, and Dr. Stites (my doctor for almost 10 years) is thorough and takes the time to cover all aspects of my health. Moreover, I have never felt rushed through the exam process yet appointments I’ve had are routinely held close to the scheduled appointment time. I don’t look forward to the more intrusive aspects of my annual exam but I am happy to see Dr. Stites at the end of the exam table and to be able to discuss any concerns I have with her.

I had been going here for years and always loved my doctor. She since retired and it seems like things went down hill. I got pregnant in September with my first child and the staff and nurses were very uninformative about anything and the front desk staff was incredibly rude all the time. At one of my appointments the nurse insinuated I had fat arms and she would have to use the "plus size" cuff to take my blood pressure. The nursing staff ended up sending my blood work to the wrong lab after telling me they could send it to the one my insurance covered so I got billed by the lab. I talked to the billing lady every time I went in for an appointment and I still kept getting bills. Finally, 4 months later, I called the lab (after getting a collection notice) and it turns out the billing lady had not even called the lab to straighten it out. After my phone call they called her and fixed the situation but I still had to follow up to make sure because I never heard from the billing lady. Then my doctor decided to stop doing deliveries before my due date so I had to switch doctors 8 months into my pregnancy. After going to my new doctor I found out KCWC ordered the wrong glucose test for me twice so I had to go get a third one done. I also realized how little information I was getting about my pregnancy and the issues I was having (and had brought up with the other doctor who never told me how to fix them). Bottom line, I'm 100% done with KCWC and I wish I had gone thru my entire pregnancy with the doctor I have now instead of dealing with the incompetence at KCWC.

I had a horrible experience here! I came here because of the reviews thinking that it would be a good place to go. When I called they said I would have to see their newest doctor which should have been a red flag. I decided to give her a chance. When I arrived there was not one other person in the whole office!! I felt like the doctor was so rude and was completely rushed! She acted like she had better things to do. Also, I felt totally attacked for not being on birth control and felt belittled and berated. I will never come to this clinic again and will warn others to not to as well!

She's incredibly easy to talk to, and always open and frank when answering any questions I've had. The rest of the staff has always been very personable and helpful. Don't expect any compassion, knowledge or understanding from these ppl. The doctor seems like shes halfway helpful, but the clerical staff and their attitudes are a deal breaker

My service was okay however I was billed under a DX that I should have not been billed under. Due to this being billed incorrectly (even though I was told this would not happen by the Nurse Practice) my insurance company would not cover it. I was never advised that I owed a bill but somehow this bill was sent to a collection agency due to non payment. Again, never was I contacted about a bill. I'm a very responsible person so I would have paid the bill had I known it existed! Now I have to go through the whole process of getting this removed from my credit report, which I don't take lightly. Office staff is also rude and rushes you off the phone. I would NOT suggest going to this place, please read through the rest of the reviews and you'll further understand why. Just don't even put yourself through it, go elsewhere. They only got 1 star because I had to.

Dr. Smith is fantastic! She has been my OB/GYN for over 15 years. She oversaw the pregnancies, deliveries, and after care of both of my children, and is the doctor I see for annual exams or anything that might present itself in between exams. She is so warm, kind, caring, and friendly. She remembers my husband's name, my children's names, and details about each one of us. I feel like I'm with a friend rather than a doctor, although she is EXTREMELY professional and knowledgeable. She is ALWAYS on time, and when I say on time, I mean ON TIME! If my appointment is at 10:00 a.m., I am in a room, have already finished any business necessary with the Medical Assistant or Nurse, and Dr. Smith is walking into the room at 10:00 (or sooner) for my appointment. I don't think I have ever waited in the waiting room or the exam room for more than 5 minutes. Dr. Smith genuinely cares about my health and well-being. She is very thorough and informs me of everything I should be doing to stay as healthy as possible, including any diagnostics I can be doing to aide in early detection. I never feel like I'm "just another patient." She takes time to answer any questions and explain anything if necessary. I never feel like she is rushing through my exam time to get to the next patient. I would highly recommend her to any woman looking for an OB/GYN. She is the best!

I have been a patient at KC Women's Clinic for 13 years with exception of 1 year where my insurance changed and I had to go to NKC's Women's Clinic. My doctors that I've had here have been outstanding. About 5 years ago I started seeing Dr. Sandra Stites after my first doctor left the practice. She is an active listener, addresses your concerns, demonstrates caring and tenderness, is a calm presence and is ridiculously knowledgeable about female conditions, solutions and research. I am so glad to be back in her care after my year at NKC. I would not go anywhere else for women's gynocological care.

I hadn't seen Dr. Thomas in years due to a change in healthcare plans, but I specifically looked her up because I wanted someone who was experienced. Now I know why this clinic has only a 2 star review, they are all a complete JOKE! When I had my first doctor's appointment I made it very clear that I had a miscarriage prior to this pregnancy and that I was very concerned.. and not once did they even mark me as " high risk ". During my first 4 to 12 weeks I was beyond sick throwing up on a daily basis and due to this I missed days at work, and I had actually told them this during one my follow up appointments and they advised me to submit my paper work to the receptionist for my employer which was requesting a reasonable accommodation on my behalf. The clinic made me pay a $20.00 fee to have them send over the faxed paperwork to my employer. Remind you I submitted the paperwork end of January and they are just now telling me today 03/30/217 that they denied it and that they never sent any denial over to my employer! When I asked the woman on the phone today why it was denied she said that it was because " they didn't see me and that I should have made a doctor's appointment with them ".. how does this make any sense? She also lied to me and said that they have been attempting to call me on my cell phone on multiple occasions which was false, I check my voice mails and missed calls every single day and the only time they left me a message was from their billing department and to also let me know I passed a diabetes test last month in February. Let me say this one thing I don't play with is my child and my money, this clinic has had me pretty much on the verge of losing my job and if that happens I will make sure they hear from my attorney! Also to any pregnant women looking into this place please save yourself some time all they care about is getting you in and out.. the communication is poor and they will not give you the proper care that you deserve after my appointment this week I will be seeing a new doctor that is in my health insurance network. Oh and by the way I will be taking this up with administration with my cell phone records to prove they never once called me about the denial of my reasonable accommodation!

Terrible! My insurance pays for free annual...they coded the labs wrong and keep saying they fixed it but have not---cannot get anyone to answer the phone or return calls! Don't go here unless you want to pay for stuff your insurance covers!

I have been recharged over and over for stuff I have already paid, and each person has to stop and transfer me to the money collector person who tells me I still owe what I've paid, even with proof. They are just not a fun place to visit at all.

I had the worst OB/GYN experience of my life here. The Dr I saw was very aggressive and condescending and she rushed through the physical exam. Her nurse was particularly rude as well, and the receptionists were all very unhelpful. Not to mention, the wait was nearly 2 hours, and that was after they had forgotten to call me and let me know that my original Dr had gone home sick. If you want to feel like a piece of meat, this is the clinic for you. Only wish there was a ZERO stars option.

My experience with Dr. Belieu takes the top spot of the worst medical experience I have ever had. Not once in 35 yrs of going for my annual womens care appointments has a medical professional displayed such arrogance and desire to schedule procedures I clearly did not need. I've had two professional opinions since meeting with her and both concurred I did not need the procedures she was advising. She made her recommendations seem of urgency and even strongly encouraged me to have a surgery to remove some of my female organs. Of course, she said she needed a sonogram first, to determine which procedure she would do. Completing that one ,I was told I needed another one for clarification and a better view. Before I figured out what was going on and wanting to take care of my body I did schedule for the second one. The lady in her office that performed these was so scripted and seem to know just what to say to try and convince me to have the surgery. Not to mention, while having one of the sonograms Dr Belieu was called in to perform a "special procedure" in order "to get a better view." My instincts told me this was a well rehearsed routine between the two of them. I did not schedule further with this office nor do I need a "surgery" based on the other two professional opinions I received. However, I am getting bills from this office of monies owed. I contacted my insurance company and was told Dr Belieu submitted claims using codes making it look like I came to her with a problem not my regular well women's exam. Which couldn't be further from the truth. What is wrong with people? Thousands of dollars later I am dealing with my insurance and her office. Her unethical medical approach and inappropriate recommendations should not go untold.
