I have some issues with this facility. Most of the doctors are good and caring, however my first issue has to do with a doctor talking about his VASECTOMY to my wife while she was in there to get my daughters immunizations?!?!?!?! Additionally, every time we bring my daughter there to be treated, the wait time is ALWAYS over an hour. That is just the time in the waiting room. When you get back to an examination room, the nurse is in there fairly quickly, but the doctors take another 20 minutes to get back to see you. Then when they are there it's a 15 minute visit that you have waited over 90 minutes for!!! What is the point of making an appointment? Complaining to the office manager is greeted with excuses of "Everyone got sick today." or "We are short staffed." My favorite was when the office manager shifted the blame on the doctor for being "really thorough" with all of her patience. It's a good thing If you have a doctor taking time to discuss things with their patience, don't use it as an excuse, and plan accordingly. The last straw was today when I tried to call and get my daughter seen at short notice due to a fever. The office "opens" at 9am (that's ridiculous in my opinion), so I call at 9 and get a busy signal; I call every 5 minutes after than and can't get through until 9:45!!!! Once I get someone on the phone they don't have any openings until 2:50 that afternoon, which really means 4:15 at the earliest. When pressed to find an answer for the busy signal, the exasperated receptionist said, "Everyone is calling right now!" Yeah because you're the LAST place to open!!! Long story longer...I was seen before 10am at another institution in the Northland and was in and out with a diagnosis and treatment for my daughter in less than the time it usually takes to get back to see a doctor at Health Care for Children. So some doctors are good, however they don't respect their patients time. I will be making a change.
