Was sent to Dr. Babb by my employers insurance carrier (Work Comp) for a injury I sustained at work. He was unable to determine the problem, so referred me to another doctor in his office for a diagnosis. He performed a hip scope for a torn labrum in which he removed too much bone from my hip socket. I began having excruciating pain and difficulty with the physical therapy and walking, so I went to get a second opinion from another orthopedic surgeon. He pointed out that Dr Babb removed excessive amount of bone therefore causing my hip to dislocate and possibly causing stress on nerves in my hip region. I was informed that I must have another surgery to hopefully correct his faulty surgery. I underwent a total hip replacement but due to length of time in between the two surgeries it was determined that I have permanent nerve damage which limits my mobility greatly. When I questioned him and his surgical procedure that was causing me problems he continued to say that it was all in my head and that I must undergo extensive physical therapy which at the time was inducing so much pain. If you are self insured then you might be getting decent service from him based on the reviews I have read, but those who are sent to him for worker's compensation watch out because you are going to be his next guinea pig and may not be able to maintain the same lifestyle or mobility. I would of sued him for medical malpractice if the statue of limitations wouldn't of ran out. So the only way I can warn others of his imperfections is leaving a review. Although kinda interesting if you read reviews from the different medical websites that he isn't the 5 star doctor he wishes to be perceived as. Alot of people that have experienced the same experience as I did. He will lie to your face, very untrustworthy misleading orthopedic surgeon along with a few others in Mid-America Orthopedics. Almost appears like the bottom feeder doctors are all grouped together. If you aren't careful when choosing who will be performing surgery on your injury then you will be in my boat waiting to be approved for Social security disability benefits. Be safe and choose wisely. Take my advice and find a different doctor other than Dr John Babb!!

I was a new patient...filled out paperwork..and sat for one hour and a half..finally the office mgr. Told me i had not been checked in! Dr. Babb if you read these, you lost a paying customer due to your incompetent staff. I even went up to the girl who checked me in and she said she didn't know what was going on! The mgr.went back to see if she could get me in and came back sat down and didn't tell me anything! I dodged a bullet with this crew. I can only imagine what the doctor is like with a team like that!

Was definitely not impressed and will be seeking care from another provider. Could not properly diagnose the issue and wouldn't listen for anything.

I have been to Dr. Babb twice for different injuries. Dr. Babb and his staff have always been professional and very kind. They have taken time to make sure I understood the issues and how I am to take care of myself during recovery time. I would recommend Dr. Babb to everyone
