We cannot recommend this office highly enough!! There's no better place in Des Moines to take your kids and infants for their dental needs. Dr. Wade and the rest of the staff are so kind and personable and have a wonderful demeanor for working with children. Dr. Wade helped us diagnose our newborn's tongue and lip tie. He took the time to answer all our questions about lasering them and the procedure was very fast. We had a couple scheduled follow up appointments and Dr. Wade welcomed us back at any time if we had any more questions or concerns. They really care about their patients at Children's Dental Center of Central Iowa!

Self-righteous and arrogant. This a my summation of how Dr. Wade spoke to me after I had to tell him to stop interrogating my daughter about why she was crying after her procedure. His work was swift and appears to be well done. But the way he treated her, and me, was mind-blowing. Let me preface this by saying that she and my other four children having been seeing Dr. Wade or one of his associates for years. There have been a few tense moments, but nothing like this. My daughter has significant anxiety, especially related to the dentist. Mid-procedure, while using nitrous oxide, she made several small whimpers. Dr. Wade raised his voice and told her, “Stop it. If you are making those noises you are breathing through your mouth. Stop it. Breathe through your nose like I told you”. This was said to her in a manner that would have infuriated me if someone spoke to me that way, much less a young girl. After having two baby teeth pulled and a cavity filled, she began to cry as Dr. Wade was grinding down the filling to make it smooth. As he finished, he really went after her. “Why are you crying? (In a very harsh voice). Tell me. Tell me specifically why you are crying. It didn’t hurt. You’re fine. So why are you crying?” At this point I said, “Stop! She has anxiety and you need to stop”. Her neck had broken out in hives, she was hyperventilating and he was badgering her about it. Dr. Wade, very much to my surprise, quickly stood up and tore off his mask. “I spent ten years as a child therapist. What medication is she on?!” Taken aback I replied, “I’m sorry, I don’t remember right now”. “Well, I specialized in anxiety in children and if I don’t make her isolate it right away then she would just, (air quotes) blow up” he said. “I was a therapist for ten years and I think I know what I’m doing!” And with this, he stormed off. His assistant just turned in what appeared to be embarrassment and my daughter began weeping even harder. His assistant was very professional, quickly reminded us of the aftercare instructions she had reviewed with us earlier, confirmed my daughter was okay and walked us to checkout. If this has happened to my daughter and myself, it has happened to others. Don’t let his pedigree that is so eloquently latex out on his website fool you. This man gave every impression that he felt I was a fool for acting on behalf of my daughter and putting an end to his verbal abuse. Think twice before allowing the beautiful website and inviting environment lure you into what could be a brutal experience.

I chose to take my daughter to Dr. Wade because he is equipped to handle tongue ties. We have been seeing him since her first birthday and her appointments always go well. I wasn't sure how she would do at her first appointment because she doesn't like things in her mouth but they are amazing at working with her.

Dr. Wade is AMAZING! I took my 12 month old for her first check up to this office, and they know EXACTLY how to work with kids. SO friendly, not scary AT all. TV screens above the chairs and tokens at the end to get a prize. This last check up where she is now 22 months, went AMAZING. She was a little scared at first, but Dr. Wade made her feel SO comfortable by the end. I am SO thankful I was referred here by a friend. I feel they take the time to explain things and are willing to answer any and all questions, we've never had a problem booking our appointments. Thanks for the great service!

Excellent service and care for my little ones. Thoroughly explained procedures and tried to make the experience as good as possible. Dental cleaning and check took less than 10 minutes with breaks for my two year old. Also skilled in tonguetie and lip tie release.

After a horrible experience with another dentist, we found this amazing place. My son was so happy and willing to do whatever they asked of him because the staff there was amazing. My son had 2 teeth pulled and the first lady we were introduced to once in the office was with him each step of the way checking in on him. As a mother this is what you wish for when visiting somewhere with your baby. This place has excellent staff and great love for kids. Each person we met here was amazing. My son actually was asking to go to the dentist the next day and was disappointed because we didnt need to. They definitely met a whole new standard for pediatric dentist office. Best we have found. From scented gloves and flavored toothpaste to video games and movies while having dental work done, this is by far a child's dream dentist. Both of my children have been going to Children's Dental Center for nearly 4 years. Dr. Wade and Dr. Bremen are exceptional with the kids. They are extremely competent, kind, gentle, and friendly. They take extra time to make sure the kids are comfortable. They are very reassuring to both the kids and parents. It's evident that they enjoy their job and care a lot about their patients. My kids actually love going to the dentist and have since their first appointment. They seem to have hired their hygienists and assistants carefully. They are all wonderful and patient with the kids and excel at creating a pleasant experience. While my kids are not afraid of dental exams with either doctor, I have witnessed plenty of other kids who were terrified and screaming before any work even began. The docs and assistants remain so calm and undeterred. They truly do their best to distract and get the kids through it comfortably and quickly. I am pretty particular about the medical providers that I take my family to. Dr. Wade and Dr. Bremen are both as good as they come! They are the good natured, fun-loving kind of people you wish were in your life all the time! My kids and I love our brief visits with them every 6 months. The office itself is very clean, colorful, and inviting for kids. It doesn't smell like your typical medical office. It just looks like a fun place to hang out! My kids like to get there a little early to play in the game room. Overall, this pediatric dental service is unbeatable.

My son loved coming here, and so did I! The staff, from front desk to hygienists, are all super friendly and made my son feel great about being there. Last time we tried to get his teeth clean he refused and left the old dentist in tears(he's 4yrs old), but after they took the time to show him their equipment and explained what they were going to do, he let them clean his teeth with no fuss or tears. Definitely a great place to take young children to for their first visits!

My two daughters have been going here since around February 2016. They have the coolest office. Last time we went my 9 year old was addicted to the selfie machine. My little one, now 20 months likes climbing the furniture. They are great at explaining things, taking time to go over options with prices. When we are all done, my 20 month old gets a stuffed animal, and my 9 year old gets tokens. Dr. Wade is who we see and I enjoy his "bedside manner". He also preformed surgery when my 14 month old had to have her top 4 teeth removed. I definitely recommend.

Dr Wade and his team are amazing! My oldest had the most terrifying dental experience when he was really young before we found Children's Dental Center. My son literally would break down in tears at the mention of the dentist. Now there's a lot less drama. Yesterday he had to have a tooth pulled and he was in awe he didn't feel a thing. My youngest is always excited to go to the dentist. The staff is completely understanding, compassionate and patient with the kids. The office is super fun for the kids too. There is a small arcade in the waiting room. The furniture and paint is fun and whimsical. The boys love that they get tokens for vending machine after their visits.

My kids love going to the dentist because of the way they treat their patients. They always ask about when their next check up is. Everyone makes the kiddos feel so comfortable and not scared of the dentist at all and I love the fact that they take their time to explain everything that needs to be done. Every appointment they are 30 minutes behind. We have done 2 afternoon appointments and now an early morning appointment. The early morning appointment was 37 minutes behind. If you work or have anything else to complete this is not a good option. We have had nothing but bad experiences with CDCoI on time management. The service is great once you get in. But I just don’t think that the lack of time management justifies returning. I wouldn’t recommend it to my friends and family based on that alone.

The front desk and dental assistants have always been great as well. (My 6 year old daughter even says she wants to be a dentist now!

Everyone here is fantastic! We started going here when Jackson was 1, he's 12 now. Obviously we are very satisfied. He has never been scared about going to the dentist and it's because of the staff. Alia is 7 and has significant anxiety about going to the dentist. She has been a challenge for the staff but their patience and caring has been phenomenal. I would recommend this business to anyone with children. They are truly the best!

I wish I could go here as an adult! They have an awesome waiting area with a video game room for the kids, the staff are all wonderful, both dentists are amazing! I could not recommend a better pediatric dental office. When my son began getting teeth we could tell there were some major issues. We went to Dr. Wade and after two dental surgeries and many office visits he has had somewhere around 12 extractions and 7 crowns and had a pedi-partial made. He is 4 and only has 8 teeth and as hard as it is I could not feel more confident about the dental care we receive. The dentists and their staff are truly amazing and professional. Our son has a lot of anxiety when it comes to anything with his mouth and they are quick, and sweet, and my husband and I will never be able to thank them enough for all their support during these last two years. Video games, movies, flavored examination gloves, tokens, a friendly staff, etc. They love going to the dentist! The dentists and their staff do everything in their power to make the kids feel as comfortable as possible. Dr. Wade is not only the BEST pediatric dentist I have encountered but also one of the nicest and kindest people around. His psychology background shows through in the way that he approaches, speaks to and handles the children. Dr. Wade was recommended to me when I moved to Iowa and I have been blessed to call him my son's dentist since. My son was 7 when he had his first appt with Dr. Wade, now at 16, his feet hang over the chairs but he still likes watching movies while getting his teeth cleaned. I wish he could be my dentist! If your kids have ANY anxiety about going to the dentist, this is the one to see. Truly a great man and an exceptional dentist!

We have been going to Dr. Wade for YEARS! However today my son had an unusual spot on the back of his throat which looked like a “tooth” Unfortunately, Dr.Wade does not work on Friday’s so we saw his partner. The dental associate initially diagnosed him with a “tonsil stone”, but when the doctor looked at it she said it was strep. Off to the next appointment the doctor at the walk-in immediately said tonsil stone, but swabed it anyways to cancel out strep. It was negative for strep so here we are leaving with a $30 copay and a tonsil stone that the dentist could have removed. I have never been impressed with Dr.Wades partner and that is always why we wait for him when our kids go there. Calling my son “dude” is not professional. Also, as she was “quietly, not discussing her “future” at Children’s Dental, I heard her tell another family she will be leaving in about 10 months to do her own thing and is currently taking appointments.

All they do here is brush their teeth. Tell them to floss and go. I can go that at home. A real dentist cleans by scraping the teeth and checking other things that normal dentists do. This office does not do that. Their hygienist aren’t even qualified.

I have two kids, one who has seen Dr. Wade since she was 2 and now she is 15. We moved a couple years ago and even though it takes 2 hours to get them to the dentist it is worth the drive. They love to go to the dentist and even when they have needed more than a cleaning they never say that it hurt or that they don't want to go back.

The entire building is designed to be kid-centric; you have to see it to understand. Also, Dr. Wade might be the most compassionate person I've ever met. One thing we noted on our visit was that the entire staff was really sensitive and would anticipate the emotional needs of children.

Children’s Dental Center is always so great with my kids! They have tons of entertainment (distractions) for the kids. There are games in the waiting rooms and movies playing. While they get their teeth cleaned they get to watch a movie. All of the staff is wonderful, very informative, and kind. They really cater to children. My kids love going to the dentist, I know I never did when I was little.

Dr. Wade and his staff are excellent. My daughters have been coming to Dr. Wade since 11 months old and now Jocelyn is 14 & Mia is 12. My eldest is 23 old and miss coming to Dr.Wade since she now lives in Germany and was being seen since she was 10yrs. The ambiance is warm and welcoming. If yhe there is any issues it gets addressed immediately. The kids can enjoy movies and video games while waiting and during the visit. Our family is truly happy to have found a great practice and never scary for my girls.

My teenager loves this office. She was very pleased to learn that Dr Wade will continue to see her after she reaches adulthood. Great staff and very fun for kids! The only thing she has outgrown is the grape toothpaste - thankfully they also have mint. She's been going to this dentist for over 10 years and has never had a bad experience. We have been going to this office for 12 years. Dr Wade is exceptionally nice to the kids and the staff is as kid friendly as they come. They have videos on the ceiling as a distraction during the cleanings. They have flavored teeth polishers and gloves. If you child is nervous about the dentist, this is the place for you. My kids actually enjoy going to the dentist and as WHEN they get to go again!! They see babies through college age kids.

We have been bringing our son to Children’s Dental Center since he was one year old, and every experience has been great! We have seen both Dr. Wade and Dr. Bremen, and they are both wonderful! The receptionists are so welcoming, both in person and on the phone, and the assistants are great with children (which is especially helpful since my toddler does not always want to cooperate). The clinic itself is very clean and extremely child friendly, from the fun toys and games in the lobby, to the TV’s above the exam chair! It is always a struggle to convince my son to leave the clinic- he loves it there! I HIGHLY recommend this clinic!

I never thought I'd hear my 8 year old say, "This is fun!" at the dentist, but that's exactly what she did while getting her exam from Dr. Bremen. The only time my three year old cried was when the hygienist was done cleaning her teeth--she wanted more chocolate toothpaste! The staff was friendly, thorough, and efficient. Our 5 day old daughter had a level 4 tongue tie and a level 2 upper lip tie. The staff and Dr Wade were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The procedure was scheduled within 24 hours of the consultation and was simple as well as fast. Our daughter’s improvement in latching while breastfeeding was immediate. We drive over an hour to take all 4 of our kids (ages from 4-9) to Dr. Wade and are always happy with our experience! Dr. Wade and his staff go above and beyond to ensure that our kids are comfortable with the entire process! Great group of professionals - highly recommended!

They have never been afraid to go to their appointments wether it's a routine visit or if they are getting additional work done...in fact they often ask when their next appointment is and look forward to it. Never felt so judged as a mom. Brought my son 3 at the time to this dentist (the female) this was his 1st dentist appt ever and it was awful. 1st they gave him no time to adpt to the area with in two min of being in the back they had him laying in my lap screaming bloody murder the whole time. If I kid is that worked up STOP explain what your doing show them the tools your using make them feel comfortable.Dont rush them through to get them out of your office. He ended up having 3 cavaties,the only option they gave me was the dental surgery center drillinf and capping all his teeth. I adv o didnt feel comfortable with this option and they told me woth a kid as uncorapative as mine that was my only option. We ended up getting a second opinion with the most amazing dentist ever at another clinic. Serioulsy spent 10 min just talking to my son and me about everything they were gonna use letting him hold the tools. We ended up doing a silver fluoride treatment took 5 min in office. If you love your child avoid this dentist.

I didn't like going to the dentist as a kid and I wanted it to be different for my kids. I certainly found it at Children's Dental Center! We've been going there for 6 years now and my kids love going to the dentist. There are games to play while they wait and Disney movies to watch while they get their teeth checked/worked on. When they're done, they get tokens to get little prizes out of one of the machines (they really love the bouncy ball machine). Dr. Wade is great with the kids and will talk cars with my 5 year old. My older son had a cavity fixed by Dr. Bremen and she was super nice as well. Both are so good with the kids and seem to really get along with the rest of the staff.

Dr Wade is extremely entertaining! He is personable, funny, and I trust him with my Child's dental needs. He won't try to nickel and dime you, just straight talk, no unnessary procedures! The waiting room is calm and inviting but will be short lived! Staff is incredible. Doesn’t matter if you are the lucky one sitting in the dentists chair (laid back with your headphones on and screen in place) or waiting in the game room patiently for your turn (having the time of your life) it’s an experience for all. One that everybody loves going back to!

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Wade and staff. I will not take my children anywhere else. My 5 year old actually cheered when I said we were going to the dentist this morning (both kids had work done, more than just a checkup) everything went incredibly well. My oldest used to have meltdowns at the dentist and not a tear shed this year. I just missed the Dr.'s follow-up call from our morning appointment as I was in a meeting but the effort to check on them does not go unnoticed (they are doing great btw). From checkin to checkout everyone is amazing. The wonderful person at checkout worked the pre-approvals/summary of benefits out with us so we can budget. Just fantastic. Thank you so very much.

We recommend Dr. Wade to anyone with young kids. The entire staff is great and make the dentist an enjoyable experience. I wish he could be my dentist! We are never in the waiting room more than 5 minutes and appointments are very quick, yet thorough. While we haven't had any procedures done other than cleanings and xrays, they do a great job explaining any issues with teeth now or in the future. I overheard them explaining a tooth extraction to a young girl, why they needed to do it, how it would feel and what to expect in a way a kid could understand.

We had an appointment for a consultation, to fix my son's lip tie. We ended up being able to get the laser procedure done the same day, which was a relief. It turned out great, and made a huge difference in his latch while nursing. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional. They even made sure to acknowledge my 3.5 year old, so he felt totally involved. Dr. Bremen was fabulous! She's very personable and easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend this office for children.

Our family has been blessed to find Dr. Wade and Children's Dental Center of Central Iowa. This guy is not not just a dentist or a doctor, but someone who is bigger than life to our kids! They must really connect with him because we're able to convince our kids to brush their teeth well each night because, "Dr. Wade will be proud!". And they brush away! The office has such a fun environment that makes it magical for the kids, including a fun waiting area and TVs in the clinic area. Great job!

One of the worst experiences I have had with my kids. I would chalk it up to dr wade having a bad day but wanted our oldest to be quiet because he was done with her and made her cry during consult. That happens I get it. But my daughter called him a monster and has never said that word before or after that visit. Then as we are leaving they give the kids tokens for a toy which is really cool. He said one is from us and one is from God. And I'm all about God but the guy upstairs would have knocked the holy spirit out of youfor acting like that. Every situation could have been handled better by dr wade. Staff was great and you could tell they were uncomfortable with how he acted. Also know at least 2 staff members that have left in last year because of way he acts. Will never be back and I hope dr wade gets some clinical help or gets out of the business of working with kids. Time to find a different target customer.
