this office/billing dept is not upfront with what they are doing! its unfortunate that i have to leave a review. ive been going to my obgyn since i was about 16-17 years old. im now 30. i no longer have insurance and went for the first time with no ins and I explained what i was needing done at my appt such as my annual. I got to my appt and was requested to pay upfront. i then left, went to check out and she told me i was good to go. i then received a bill for another amount and i called to question and the girl told me the price at my appt was just an estimate ( i understand estimates as i work in a dental front office, i get it ) but no one ever discussed with me this was an estimate.. thinking the price the girl told me as i dont have insurance, they'd know. i called and was told i could potentially do 12 month payment plan. one was never set up though as they hung up on me and i was work and never got a chance to call back. yesterday i again got another bill doubling the last amount. i called again to question and it was more stuff they did with out telling me so i now have a $200 bal. i asked if i could do the 12mon payment plan and she said the longest they could do was 6. i explained what the last girl said and she said it wasnt possible. i was fed up and agreed. i will be paying and finding a new office that is more up front with what they are doing. again it is unforunate as ive only seen one doctor since a young age.
update: i spoke to the billing manager... nothing was resolved besides her saying they need to educate their front office staff and that they have a revolving door of front office. and i received another bill from a lab for $150 after i paid the whole bal (what i thought and spoke to the office about) already and still keep getting more. -- ill still be going elsewhere.
