Everything closes at 8pm!!! I get off a plane that I’ve been on for 2 hours and there is no food! I fly for business, meaning I’m in meetings during the day. So I look for food in airports before I fly back home. It’s usually an easy find and convenient. Had a 1.5 hr layover here on my way back to Chicago and thought I could grab dinner when I landed. NOTHING! You’d think I’d landed at 3am. Now I’ve had no food since breakfast (b/c I’ve been in meetings all day) and it’s 8:44pm and I’m waiting for my 9:30 flight. Needless to say, I’m hangry and rightly so. Never again Indianapolis!

This is my first trip through IND since they built the new terminal and I'm very impressed. Spacious and well appointed. Lots of reasonably priced dining options. Even the alcoholic beverages are within reason.

Very clean and modern. We almost never have an delay issues at the security check point. The TSA agents are mostly friendly and courteous. I think it is one of the best airports in N. America.

This is easily one of the better airports in the US. As someone who travels a lot, I enjoy airports with great food, drinks (3 Floyds Gumballhead and Zombie Dust available!), and bathrooms that are not disgusting. This airport had all of those. That plus an easy layout from rental cars to gates to baggage claim makes this a great airport.

Love the airport! Most convenient mid-size airport in the country. Also, great design, food options, shops, coffee-shops etc. I think they even have a brewery (I doubt they actually brew there, but still a plus). Finally, its new and efficient.

I was Using American airlines they backed our plane up to do some de icing. We are already late departing for no reason. After they de-iced our plane they then said over the Paging system we could not go anywhere because the plane next to us backed up and needed de-icing. Oh look at that another one next to it. I have no issues with de-icing but I think the planes should have a designated area for this to keep from delaying other planes with passengers that have connections or just the general customer who wants to get home. Then you pay for first class seats only to have the steward ignore the 1st class paying customers to ask the other American airlines employee that was sitting in the spare seat if she wanted water. I guess we have no need for water. First class on this flight was a waste because the steward was busy on his cell pushing buttons and telling the other employee about having to work at 7am the next day. Again we don't exist. Hello we paid. Finally after a lengthy amount of time and we were up in the air I asked for crown and there was nothing available. Recieved a coffee and he was busy helping the rear crew. Could not find him for a while. Finally he returned. I received water. Either way it was a horrible 1st class experience through this airline. Maybe its just the rear crew Service in 1st class but I have never been so mistreated before when I paid for the experience. American airlines should look into this. I did not record the person in 1st class for there personal privacy but you should reach out to me and I will provide you with the flight number. He was really a unhappy staff member with the passengers but super friendly with his off duty partner that has only been employed for 8 months. Check out the videos. Pretty cool airport, really open and spacious. Wish the food options in the terminals were a little better/ more variety but overall was very impressed. Clean facilities, good internet and loved the various cars on display in both terminals.

Beautiful and modern airport. Fast service. Clean bathroom. There is a exhibition of awesome old cars. When I returned they haven’t TSA pre-check and I paid for to have that service in all airports of USA. I had to do the big line and all the annoying process. Any way all TSA employees were very nice.

There should be a warning that smoking isn't allowed on the premise before you purchase tickets. I had no idea and would have had a cigarette either before I got to the airport or flown out of another airport if I had known. I found it cruel and facist. People are physically dependant on nicotine unfortunately. Its not that hard to have a smoking area outside. I'm sute the jet fuel being expended is 100,000 worse on your asthma and the environment.

Clean airport, with large open spaces and a good variety of restaurants. TSA could be a little more organize but aside from that great experience going through here.

What I like about Indy is the easy on and off flights and that arrivals and departures are well marked. I did fly in, one time approximately a year ago and half our baggage didn’t seem to be with our plane? It was after midnight and there were no staff to tell us what had happened. About an hour and a half later, as we scratched our heads, it finally showed up. TSA and security are very much on their toes so don’t plan to mess around with those folks. On the other hand they are polite and professional. This airport is spacious, on scale. I’d actually give it a 4 1/2 of 5 stars. :)

Clean, fast, friendly service at Indianapolis International Airport. I've lived 2 hours away for my whole life and never even knew how accessible and friendly this neighboring airport is. Easy access to the terminal. Quick passage through security checkpoints helps out, especially when traveling with small children. Quite an array of dining options available too while waiting for your flight. Great experience overall and we'll be looking for more flights going through Indianapolis.

I freaking LOVE this airport. We live in Fort Wayne and we’re about 2 hours away, but I always book through this airport combined with parking at FastPark. It’s always seamless and easy going through Indy, not to mention it’s clean and artsy, signs are easy to understand, and people are generally very nice.

Very intuitive in flow of terminal. I don't much like airports but this one is laid out so when you come in you know right where to go. Architecturally it is the best terminal I've been to. Beautiful at night to see from the service roads.

I don't normally bother reviewing large places like airports and malls, but Indy airport was pretty much the nicest American airport I have found - spacious, but without insanely long walks to gates, plenty of food and drink options, well-staffed with helpful and pleasant staff (even Security was cheerful) and lots of bathrooms and gate seating. The large chairs with a charger in near at the gates was a lovely find.

This may very well be the nicest, cleanest, friendliest, and most professional airport I have ever flown to or from. They also have some of the best retail services, so if you have a long layover, it's a nice place to be stuck. Although, I've never been stuck here like other airports, but I still enjoy the restaurants and shops.

Good amenities and convenient security but the Free Wifi in B terminal is useless, even hardly anyone in here using the network, poor signal strength, constantly dropping connection. Impossible to do cloud based work. God forbid your flight is delayed and need to use wifi.

Absolutely Amazing! There are plenty of places to plug in, comfortable seating, etc. They seem to keep up to date with various accommodations as compared to other airports I've had to travel through. They even have a small space for children to a play while waiting to board. The little things like that make the biggest difference!

This is a nice airport and is one of the best in the country. There isn't much people, so you'll get through customs and security quicker. The baggage counter is next to the exit. Overall a wonderful experience.

Nice and clean airport. But everything closes at 8 o'clock with flights leaving after nine. Then my flight was delayed till after 11 PM. Left with little in entertainment and vending machines with little selection.

This is is a cool place. Easy to identify by well provided marking and directions. This is really well maintained. The baggage counter is near to exit and this makes it very well different. Good amount of houses for refreshments available and along with great amount of options. Easy to get cabs.

One of my favorite airports. As many people have perviously said, going through security is a cinch. The dining options in the terminals aren’t as high octane as those in the main lobby, before TSA. But if you got a lil time and are that hard-up, exit, get your food and go through security again because they move quick and smooth.

This airport has been updated and is well laid out. There are just two terminals and they are both a short walk from the airport corps. The airport is bright and airy with all the modern conveniences. Carpeting at the Southwest gates helps to keep down noise and echo.

One of the nicer airports out there. Spacious inside with a massive awesome window looking out on both concourses so you can see all the planes. Good food choices that aren't abhorrently expensive like in some airports.

Indianapolis International Airport is small so you won't get lost it's pretty short walking to any of your flights. They have nice decorations including a race car and the ceiling has cool art. They have a decent food court. The drawback is there's nobody at a help desks when you have a question it's like nobody's working when I came during the middle of the day.

Allegiant would not let us have our bags after the were flown on the day before because of a complication. Allegiant was not open after four, they were understaffed, and customer service didnt help us.

I was at this airport twice in July and on a good note, the airport itself is well maintained, has a beautiful gathering area in the middle with great seating and eateries. On the downside, the customer service of TSA and American airlines workers was rude and condescending. The security check people talked to people going through as if they were bad dogs who wouldn't wouldn't mind .Barking orders at all young an old as if we should know every single rule le they do. They seem insensitive to the fact that were trying our best to move through. Completely condescending to me,y daughter and everyone around us. Making snyde remarks when people would pass through. As well, the American airlines baggage check on the walkway to the plane entrance grabbed my daughter's bag and when I told her the bag had already been ok'd by the agent at the desk she yelled at me saying that it's all about her and not them. As an airport employee I get you have a tough job but you don't have to lose all sense of compassion for all who are moving through and may need some guidance. This airport by far in the six I was in took the cake for rude, insensitive service.

Nice airport, but awful customer service- at least a Southwest "supervisor" named Robert (whom refused to provide last his name). He could not of been anymore smug, he prevented me from making my sister's rehearsal dinner. He had a smirk on his face all the while knowing he was ruining my plans. The aircraft was sitting at the gate mostly empty for well over 15 minutes after I walked up- it was not a security risk, nor nearly a full flight. I was sober enough to drive a car, and Robert chose to screw up my plans. His careful eye let a woman who was denied further service at the bar I was at on board as she couldn't stand, but refused to let me on. I'm not the type to write a negative review, but I will follow up with SW's customer service on this and have already consulted a lawyer who advised me to record statements which I did.

I travel frequently and IND is my favorite airport! This past Friday they had a live jazz player and upbeat music in the food court! It made my traveling so much less stressful. Please bring him (and the music) back :) Their wifi is also super fast which is very helpful when working on the road!

I just came trough this airport pregnant 5 minutes ago (it is 2:19 pm on August 31st), my doctor specifically told me to not go through the big scanner, to use only the small metal detector / walk through. When I told TSA on concourse A section 5 they told me I couldn’t use the walk through, either the large scanner or I had to get a pat down. As any concerned pregnant mother since my doctor said to avoid it, I said I still wouldn’t go through the large scanner. They moved me to the side, the male agent at section 6 proceeded to make fun of me and tell me that it wasn’t a big deal, apparently he is a doctor, interesting that he works in TSA... the female then patted me down, as she was patting me down they opened up the small metal detector scanner for a person to walk through because she had a dog with her and therefore she had to go through that one. So it was not malfunctioning, they simply did not want to let me through without humiliating me. Thanks IND.

I always love flying out of the Indy airport because it's so calm and efficient. I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes in security, and everything always seems to go smoothly there. Parking is cheap and easy, too. Can't wait to fly again.

Have never had a negative experience here. Security lines move along smoothly, shuttle drivers from economy lot to terminal are friendly and kind, bathrooms clean, and the whole place looks neat and well kept.

We had a car malfunction at 11pm in the economy lot and when we called the assistance phone number, Daniel showed up to help us within 2 minutes of calling. He was so friendly, and laid on the cold, hard ground in freezing temps in order to fix what was wrong under our car so that it would be safe for us to drive. He was cheerful and helpful and we couldn’t be more grateful for his assistance after a day of traveling.

Indianapolis International Airport, Indianapolis, IN. My last time here seems a fever dream. I arrived at the Indianapolis airport from New Hampshire to connect to a flight to Florida. The flight with a layover in Tasmania was already booked up so I chose to layover here in the flatness.The airport was somehow oddly decorated and the Southwest Airlines area of the terminal was overflowing with Future Farmers of America. I witnessed here a tragedy apparently related to Southwest Airlines somehow. A woman walked into the airport and arrived to the SWA terminal. She was fine, able to scamper about, but as the time neared for our flight to Tampa, the woman sunk into a wheelchair and had to be assisted aboard the plane as a preboarder. I feared I too would suddenly become disabled. I feared for the woman. But then I remembered the restorstive power of SWA. Once I boarded in Tampa with 14 cripples in wheelchairs. By the time we arrived in New Hampshire, all but three could walk again and hopped off the plane first in line.

I like the layout of this airport I find that it is easy to navigate and the restroom facilities are spacious and well cared for. The staff and security are very welcoming and are able to process travelers with decent efficiency. There are also plenty of areas to go to and enjoy a meal before your flight. I find that there is also a surprising amount of space at the airport and that allows for comfort when traveling.

I've had only good experiences here. TSA process was about as quick and friendly as I could have expected it to be. It's a very reasonably nice, clean airport. It's laid out intuitively enough, and there seemed to be directional signs for just about everything I needed. I made the mistakes of both losing my parking ticket as well as only having cash to pay with. I was worried I wasn't going to be able to leave without a lot of trouble. I saw a staff member walking toward the parking lot, so I asked him what I needed to do. He was very friendly and told me exactly what I needed to do. I drove over to the parking gate and explained my situation to the attendant. He was incredibly kind and understanding, and we got my situation resolved without much trouble at all. I was very happy with how the situation ended. I do wish the roads and the parking lots around the airport were organized a little more intuitively and that there were more signs to indicate exactly where all the different types of parking is. However, outside of being a little confused at times, I've had nothing but good experiences here.

I love this airport, any time I fly I try to go through here. They are incredibly professional, fast and friendly. I have never spent more than 20 minutes waiting to get through security. The prices in the restaurants aren't too bad either and the Starbucks is good. If this airport is a bit more expensive than flying out of another, just pay it. It's worth it.

I love our Indianapolis airport! I’ve traveled with my family and by myself both on international and domestic flights. This airport and the parking is easy to navigate. I really like the Delta Airline curbside check in. There’s a good variety of food in the general area. Always pretty with decorations.

This is one of the easiest airports to navigate through. Lines to get through security are never too bad, I think the longest I've ever had to wait was 20-25 minutes. Staff in the airport are always friendly and the cleanliness of the place is always good.

One of the better American airports. It is very clean, easy to navigate, and relatively modern. Staff were for the most part friendly (airline staff were less helpful) and it is easy to get through security. It may not be as big and lavish like other major world hubs, but it is definitely good for any traveler. Food options also could be better.

Only problem I've had here is in the waiting lot for rideshare drivers. Two airport employees attacked me verbally (both were different race from me) with the large black male trying to attack me physically. Just because I parked in the wrong space because I didn't know. The thing is they didn't make anyone else move and I was the only white male there. So it leads me to believe it was racially motivated. Police arrived and talked to all that saw anything then talked to me and agreed with me and recommended I wait at the Shell gas station from now on and I agreed.

I thought my local airport, RDU, was the best airport. Indianapolis takes the title for me. There is a little kids area which my 3 year old loved. However, the best part was the woman who was cleaning the moving sidewalk. She let my son "help" her clean while I walked beside. She was wonderful, unfortunately I didn't write down her name. If this review gets shared with the Indy Airport staff please post this so she can know that she made a little blond, curly haired toddler's day.

The Indianapolis airport is clean, open, and airy with large windows, art installments, and a good amount of seating. I love the plethora of outlets too! Terminal layout makes sense and gates are easy to get to. Entering and exiting the airport is simple. Great design!

Easy to navigate and always clean. Lots of food, drink, and convenience stores in terminals make it way for me to grab last minute things that I left at home. I always try to fly out of here when I’m traveling. Not to mention very reasonably priced car storage in the area.

I've been to several airports across the country and this is by far my favorite. It's spacious, clean, well lit, and I've never had issues with lines. They also have several local restaurants as well as national chains.

Nice airport. Dropping off passengers and picking them up is relatively easy. Parking is usually available and there is a cell phone lot as well. There is a nice food court in the unsecure area if you are waiting for someone. There is also a nice variety of places to eat after you go through securiry.

Very nice airport with super friendly staff. Was visiting from Minnesota a couple days ago and have an easy experience with checking my bag and getting through security. There were lots of friendly staff around for if I got lost, or needed help finding certain things. Know that there are no designated smoking areas past security. I didn’t mind but just a heads up.

TSA is a shitshow here. Better training is needed as they do not seem to know what policies are (multiple different answers). Communication needs to be better among them as one tells you to do something that contradicts the next TSA agent. 0/10 would recommend flying through this airport

Nice looking airport, but bad service behind the scenes. Two separate times now I have been sitting in our plane for 30 min after we landed. "The gate is not ready". Exhaust filling the cabin and giving others and myself a horrible headache and nausea.

Last three times I have been here an ear-splitting, loud, extremely high-pitched alarm went off. It lasted over ten minutes. I can"t emphasize strongly enough just how unpleasant this was. Also, there have been several escalators, moving walkways and elevators under repair. Very amature small town type airport.

This Indianapolis International Airport must speak for itself. The place has change so much in just a few year. With its beautiful architectural design and big sculptures . I enjoy viewing old antiques items from the past. Always feel like home when i land at this airport

Easy airport to get around, most hotels in the immediate area offer shuttle services to/from on the lower floor (signage for this is a little confusing if I'm honest.) Easy to find gates, with two concourses and simple numbering, meaning you're never more than ten minutes walk from security to gate. Plenty of places to get food, snacks, drinks and souvenirs. Delta sky club also here, close to the Delta Gates at Concourse A.

No smoking anywhere, not many options for coffee, unless you like Starbucks style of coffee, which i dont. Take away options for smokers, everyone seems to think we are evil people, but allow animals and children to run around and scream, people to wear obnoxious amounts of perfume/body spray, and the Rudeness of people these days is astounding. It truly looks and feels like an airport for yuppies... will go outta my way to never come through this airport and will be spreading the word. Not that it really matters to anyone but me

I like the new design the airport has. I used to get so confused and lost in the old one because it was like a Labyrinth. Now it's much more wide and open and I feel free to do as I please. The floor is also really soft if you're looking for a place to take a nap. 10/ 10 recommend. They also have nice big windows to stare outside with. Best airport in the Midwest!!!

One of my best experiences at an airport. All staff was friendly and chatty even for it being 445 am. Check in and security took all of 10 minutes. Copper moon coffee was delicious.

Worst airport in the country! Flights are always delayed. The evil security staff was threatening an old man with a Veteran hat on for smoking outside. OUTSIDE!!! I bet during his time of service; he never thought people would threaten him with a fine for smoking outdoors. This airport is un-american! Stay away and book flights around this airport. Real Americans believe in freedom for ALL -Even Veterans who smoke!
