I've been going to them for over a year now and have been very pleased. They help with general OB needs, as well as now into my first pregnancy. They are knowledgeable and helpful, and the offices and rooms always very clean!

I came here during my first pregnancy a few years ago because I'd heard that it was the best practice in the city in terms of obstetric care and women's health. I had my first ultrasound at 8 weeks, and at the time, the embryo was measuring at 5 weeks and had a poor heartbeat. I explicitly asked my doctor if this was a cause for concern, and they assured me that it was not. Several weeks later, I returned for another appointment and was given a second ultrasound, only to find that the embryo had not grown and had no heartbeat. I miscarried about a week later. I wrote it off as an unlucky coincidence and did not blame my doctor for brushing me off at the time. This past winter, I returned to Clearvista for my OB care while pregnant and expressed that I would like to switch doctors, wanting someone who was just a little more informative and attentive. The nurse I spoke to said I would have to go through a whole formal rigmarole that could take a fair amount of time, and, not wanting to waste time, I opted to go back to the same doctor. It wasn't long before this doctor again brushed off a concern I had, this time with a health issue that would directly affect and be affected by my pregnancy (I would prefer not to say what, as it more immediately identifies me, and I'd rather stay anonymous). They literally said it would be "no problem" and were evasive during my repeated attempts to get more information about it. I ended up in the emergency room with excruciating pelvic pain fearing I would lose my baby because of this "non-problem." Thankfully, my sister-in-law recommended that I go to the ER at Methodist Hospital because of her positive experiences with doctors at IU Health. I immediately found their OB residents to be far more caring, communicative, and professional than my doctor or any of the nurses (who are nice for the most part but not very informative and don't answer questions well) at Clearvista. By the time I left the ER at Methodist, I had made a decision to switch providers to IU Health, and I have not regretted that decision so far. After only a few weeks with them, I have already been able to speak at length with providers about my health issue and now also know better how to manage it for the remainder of my pregnancy. I didn't intend to leave a bad review for Clearvista, especially since so many women rave about them. After all, maybe it's just me! However, when I called to cancel the rest of my appointments there, the nurse asked me why and then suddenly interrupted me, rushed through saying "I'msorryyouhadthatexperience," and then hung up on me when I began to honestly (and perfectly politely) tell her why. It was an extremely unprofessional and dismissive response, which unfortunately echoes my overall experience at Clearvista. I believe it's probably a good hospital for women who have easy, normal pregnancies and who aren't planning to go into a lot of depth on the different aspects of their care. However, I would not go there for complicated pregnancies or if you believe you will have a lot of questions or will want to be more involved and informed during your pregnancy. It's possible that it's just my doctor, but to be honest, I didn't find the technicians, nurses, or nurse practitioners to be terribly helpful either, though I want to stress that most of them are quite nice.

Sarah Henry is great and wonderful, but the scheduling people could use some help.

Dr. Adair and Dr. Ertle are great! Front desk is a joke. They are rude and unfortunaltly you have to ask questions several times to get an answer. They seem to think things are funny when it's clear that the patient is frustrated as well. Clearly they should be working elsewhere and not in the medical field where things aren't typically funny. Also.. scheduling is a joke. Everyone is busy or closed and you need to go to the other side where they seem to not have a clue as to what's going on either.
