Waited a month to get an appt then waited 2+ hours at the office , just to be told by Dr. Heavilon that I’m going to have back pain forever (I’m only 19 so this is horrible news) and there is nothing he will do. Felt like I was completely disregarded and my pain that I deal with DAILY didn’t matter. Will never be going here again - I’d rather travel 45 minutes to their other St. Vincent specialists in Indianapolis, they at least act like they care and try to find solutions to your health problems !

My mother’s appointment was at 2:30 and she didn’t see the doctor until 3:50. She is 90 years old and her needing to wait this long is unacceptable. She became very frustrated and didn’t appreciate waiting so long, nor did I. After the wait, he only talked with her about 5-10 minutes to say all was good. A total waste of our time! When we left, his waiting room was even more full than when we got there. I’d hate to know how long they had to wait.

Did not care for Sheri Bennett at all. She has no bedside manner & made me feel belittled & berated me. I will not be going back to her. I had shoulder surgery last August & had no problem with staff. Dr. Trussler was excellent. If I'm able to see someone other then Sheri Bennett I will go back. She needs to learn to interact with patients in a different way. I will not recommend her to anyone.

My elderly mother had a fall and a severely injured knee. She was seen at CIO. They told her suspected ruptured tendon but couldn't schedule an MRI for another week and wouldn't report on MRI for 48 more hours. She has been immobile with swelling and pain in the entire leg for 8 days. That is unacceptable. CIO needs some heavy competition to help ease their burden of their patient load. I've spoken with several people from more "vibrant" communities. They received MRI next day with reading and consult with Dr. an hour later. What's wrong with CIO???

I saw NP Sheri Stohler-Bennet getting an appointment within a week. She is very personable, concerned and thorough. She talked with me, reviewed test results, examined me, and ordered a needed test. Because of other health needs in my family, she got me in quickly for the test, went over results, and scheduled my treatment with follow up to come. I am very grateful.

Came in to CIO as a walk in @ 8AM and Dr.Duncans team fit me in thankfully! My back had went out at work the night before and I was in terrible pain! I dealt with Dr. Duncans physicians assistant for the most part who was very informative and helpful! Between he & Dr. Duncan a game plan was made to heal my back. I would highly recommend this team if you have back issues!

I received excellent health care at CIO. My wait was very long but I went at a busy time for a walk-in appointment so the wait time was understandable. The doctor that helped me was excellent. He was very caring, understanding and patient. I can't give 5 stars however because the woman at the info desk at the entrance was extremely rude and condescending to me. She made me feel like leaving right away but I was in pain and needed a doctor. I told her I had a fracture in my foot and my doctor recommended I go to CIO asap. The woman at the desk had the nerve to ask me, "How do you know you have a fracture, did a doctor call you?" She retained the attitude through the whole pre-registration process, and I really got upset. Everyone else was absolutely awesome there. I would give her first name here but she was the only one who had no name tag on so all I can say is she had shoulder length blond hair and blue eyes.

Top notch doctors at Central Indiana Orthopedic. I have worked with Dr Damer due to having an infection in my knee. He was very caring and informative about my situation. I also have worked with Dr Herbst for three years with my ankle and amputation. He certainly became a trusted advisor. The residents in Muncie and Central Indiana are very fortunate to have such great doctors in our area.

This was my first time as a patient and I wasn’t impressed. The wait time was ridiculous even with an appt. I fell in the office room trying to get down off the cart with a broken leg. I was in so much pain. I was in tears laying on the floor and the staff said, I’ll give you a minute and left the room. My husband helped me up. I really felt like they should have x rayed my leg again to make sure I didn’t damage it more from the fall. But instead they casted it and sent me home. The positive things were The doctor was kind and the cast lady was awesome.

Terrible service will never go back to this place again waited 5 hours thought I was going to have my ingrown toe nail cut out and all they did was x Ray my toe and told me it would be a another two weeks and said it would only take 30 mins and I talk to the doctor for maybe 5 mins could have gone to a doc in the box in been out in a hour out two I didn’t even need an X-ray I just stubbed my toe and it was Irritated and uncomfortable for me to even sleep

Went to the walk-in for x-rays as a new patient and was on my way in an hour and a half. Even for noon on a Tuesday I was very impressed. At the orthopedic office I usually visit I would have been just in the waiting room for that long, even with an appointment. Very pleasant staff and complimentary coffee everywhere!

I have been here now 3 times, 2 of the 3 with Dr. Cook and those two times have taken forever to get back to the actual doctor and then the doctor rushes through the appointment. This most recent time, I didn’t go back until 65 minutes after my appointment. I understand if this was a one time thing, but both times shows a pattern of them not caring about patients. After my first appointment, they scheduled an EMG and a follow up. The EMG wasn’t until 4 weeks after my first appointment giving the impression that my pain wasn’t a concern for them. It’s also very frustrating that while waiting you have no cell service due to the concrete building and the WiFi they provide has the same quality as dial-up. If I wasn’t referred here, I would never come back here.

It has been 4 months since i broke my ankle was given a boot that was too big. Used a boot i had since doctor could not figure out another boot. PT stated he was concerned about boot I was wearing. Contacted doctor no reply. I just need a boot that fits.

Sheri carefully reviewed and explained my MRI and C-Ray. The staff is equally patient and proficient. I have had a tore miniscuis and a stress fracture in my left knee. Dr. Bennett and Ken and his team done a wonderful job listening to me and the issues I was having. I seen him in both Portland and Muncie office and always receive great care. He did testing to see what was going on before just putting an injection in there and sending me on my way. I had surgery a month ago and my knee feels alot better and heeling wonderful. Even though I'm still healing the pain that I thought if I turned on it the right way I was either going to break it or I was going to go down is gone! I'm up and walking still needing to build my strength up in that knee it feels so much better . THANK YOU and your team for the great care and listening to my needs. I would give them 5 stars but I feel we all even though we strive for the best can always be better.

I was about 17 when I got my ACL fixed by Dr. Matchett, im almost 40 now, so in the past 20 sompthing years I have met alot of folks who had the same and similar operations done, and by a landslide I have had more abilaties for a longer period of time then anyone that I have ever known, sence my knee surgery I have done roofing, mountain climbing, crossed the grand canyon, did boxing', framed homes, and was a competative brakedancer too, after all the stories that I have heard from other people I know without a doubt that it was a blessing to have him as a dr.

When I recently got hurt Meghan Barrrus, PA - C, took care of me. I love Meghan! She listened to what had to say she made an evaluation based on what I had to say and her exam. Can't say enough good things about her. Be aware that if you don't have insurance a $100 down payment must be paid that day towards the office visit.. I received a bill the following week for an additional $128 for the office visit.
