Biltmore Dermatology absolutely gets a 5-star rating for me. 5-star rating across the board. The dermatologist here Ryan --- 5 star!!!! He is a very kind man. I'm a very detailed person and always ask many questions in regards to anything (especially health-care). He does not try to escape me out of the room, and goes into much detail about all my questions. He has given me much guidance on different avenues for skincare along with his personal routine for moisturizers and sunscreen. In the past I had been a sun worshipper. This guy will care for you as a patient. Also, he is very thorough in his work. Him and his staff I am MOST confident will treat you with the best of care.
I recently had a spot on my temple that I had looked at two different times by the Dermatology Center of Indiana. Both times a biopsy was not even offered to me. And I was told nothing to worry about. Instead they froze on it. And even that was only because I hard-pressed on the issue.. Not happy with the diagnosis, and deciding I wanted a second opinion. Ryan took one look at it and said it was suspicious for basal cell carcinoma. This was exactly what I had thought it was to begin with! I had even mentioned that as my concern to the dermatologist in Plainfield. But the dermatologist there acted like I had nothing to worry about. So, when Ryan wanted to do a punch biopsy I was all for it. And sure enough it came back as basal cell carcinoma. So, I appreciate this facility being thorough. Obviously having better training to even be suspicious of such things. Versus having TWO different opportunities to look at it, and telling the patient nothing to worry about. The second time I went back, was not even for a follow-up. It was because I felt that it looked the same after being froze, and wanted the spot looked at a second time. (if you're curious to more details on this story go to Dermatology Center of Indiana Facebook page and check out my review) very seldom do I get involved with reviews. For me to do a review people either got to be top-notch, or people really need to be informed of negativity. And giving a bad diagnosis two times I consider pretty sad.. >>> but NOT Mr. Ryan Patterson at Biltmore. He's on it. He got it right the first time!
Very grateful to the dermatologist at Biltmore and his staff. Most confident that him and his staff will do great things for Terre Haute Indiana. Be not fooled with a professional sounding name like Dermatology Center of Indiana, and assume you're getting top-notch care. Not true. Top-notch care will be had at Biltmore Dermatology. The staff will be very thorough with you, and if you're like myself and mostly new to Dermatology, Ryan will answer all your questions in much detail, and will spend a considerable amount of time in the room with you if that is what you desire. The staff here seems to be exceptional as well. The physician's assistant I had my couple times of being here is extremely kind, and always wears a smile on her face. I don't get the idea that she's just there for another day of work. From here on out this will be the Dermatology Center that I use.
