Anytime my son has needed to be seen they got him in quickly. He is so comfortable there. Seen bad reviews about front desk so I cannot review on that but the doctors and nurses are amazing. Call local and wait 2 weeks to be seen. Call them come in today we will fit you in. Amazong.

Great place friendly people. Vaccinate your kids. It's unintelligent and not safe if you don't. That's why they don't want to see your unvaccinated child. They are smart and don't want to put children (like mine) in harms way, because your ignorance. Fully recommend.

YOU ARE JUST A NUMBER... In August our insurance numbers changed (wife also hired in so new cards for my oldest) and we have handled it a few times over and got them the updated numbers. Anyway the kid was sick today and needed to take him there and again they said they needed the new numbers. Anyway I told them that he has the same insurance through the steel workers and is on her card for whatever reason and we have ran into this issue and have handled it a couple times since August (side note acct. Balance is zero, as always) And that Emily is at work and I got a sick kid which I called ahead before I came in. They said that they would ask their in house billing manager because we have been with them so long and the coverage is exactly the same. They stated that anyone can lie and he may not have insurance and would have to be a Self pay today. Mind you I've known some of the staff since high school, went there myself as a child and they had birthed all 3 kids (maybe just 2) We've never had any issues before and they know that we have the best insurance anyone can ask for. I said I've known you for 13+ years, I can't predict when my kids gonna get sick and you called me in here when I called. They stated she didnt care if it was steelworkers insurance or how long we've been loyal (mind with zero balance) or have known some of the staff. I do get that stance but I've seen them be flexible on it I've seen them be flexible before when cards have changed over the years. However I think, when you truly been there that long and you're on a first name basis, the customer service should be better and there should be absolutely no "I don't care" attitude when it comes to your customer base. We have the best insurance in the region and if they don't want my business or view me or any other steel worker as a possible liar after that many years.... I will happily give my money to another pediatrician. Steelworkers have excellent insurance, most physicians would be ecstatic to get in house.

We withdrew our children from this "medical practice" months ago. The untrustworthy billing practices and scheduling are the reasons we no longer attend your practice. When I am told to bring my sick infant in to your offices immediately for treatment, seen by a different doctor every time, told that he is fine, and sent home with a $30 bill every single day for a week with NOTHING having been done but his weight and temperature taken, they are obviously more interested in my insurance/co-pay money than my child's health. Not to mention the AWFUL customer service by your phone/reception staff (I have been hung up on and yelled at by different members of your staff), and your apparently unskilled nurses, who can't even relay information properly. Not to mention the harassing phone calls to make appointments after I asked them to stop. This practice is nothing but a money-grubbing patient factory, and we are happier and healthier without your involvement. I cannot express how terribly they have treated our family. Our children's records have already been transferred out of your offices.

Dont go here ever.. I have never been so disrespected in my life by staff.

Alisha Dotson

This office is a complete joke. If you have a special needs child I suggest going somewhere else. They do not take anything seriously and only give appointments out if they feel your child needs it regardless of that child's medical history. This has cost my child 4 hospital stays due to them not giving him a appointment and catching the problem before it escalated to the point of having to be admitted. The staff is very rude and uncaring. Our last straw was when we waited 3 hours in the waiting room then to have Dr. Ludwig mock us with the exam room door open during a appointment we and a specialist had to fight for. His staff then burst out laughing over the way he was treating us regarding our sons problem. My child has a life threatening disease. In no way is anything that happens to this child funny. Due to the incompetence of this doctor that day and him not taking the issue seriously the child endured a long stay in the hospital for the 4th time in a year because of this offices lack of treatment and is still dealing with set backs due to it. I would NEVER recommend this office to anyone and it was actually recommended to us by my sons specialists to find another pediatrician due to them being tired of dealing with this office also.

Horrible front desk receptionists are unable to make appointments only based on their discretion not on providers availablilty . “I was told we are busy” placed on hold for 25 minutes. Mind you it’s a only Tuesday morning?! Thanks Pam for your “help”.

Michelle Wherrett

Extremely kind and helpful. The doctors are very nice and are great with my daughter. Always gives me detailed answers for all my questions. Love them.

tommy valenzuela

The front desk ladies are very rude and act like your child doesn't matter. When the phone is answered it's like you're inconveniencing them. The one bright note, The Dr's are great with my kids.

Krissy Adams

A few of the staff members come off rude here. I think the doctors are pretty great and the lady who checks you out at the end is always pleasant ,but have had a few instances where I felt that the staff was rude/short and treated me like a child. I know I am not the only one that has felt that way. You would think that maybe the staff would try and change their attitudes a little. Not good for a business. As a parent, my number one concern is my child and my child's health. Doesn't seem fair to be unpleasant and difficult to a concerned parent and one that has spent lots of money here.

Melanie Mulder

We have a daughter with special needs and they use do be great for her. We used to love our doctor and bragged about her and felt like she was on our team. We don't even really go to the pediatrician with her very often because she has specialists and is rarely sick. Over the last several months though that has changed. We no longer feel that they have our child's best interest at heart, their interest is now what is easiest for them and what will get the practice the most money. We have been lied to several times by the nurses or office manager whether it was about if/when a prescription was called into the pharmacy or promised a phone call back by end of day that never happened. Bottom line is something has changed and we no longer feel good about taking our daughter to this practice and I would not recommend them to anyone I know. It really is sad because we used to love our doctor and to experience this complete change in attitude towards us over the last few months is really upsetting.

They really don’t want to see your kids... just collect insurance money for seeing them for their annuals. My children developed a rash while on vacation. I called wanting to bring them in for an exam. Instead of encouraging me to bring them in, I was directed to a nurse and the NURSE DIAGNOSED the issue WITHOUT even seeing them. She proceeded to tell me to wait FIVE WEEKS before calling back! And proceeded to tell me they weren’t contagious without a fever. After a few more days and the rash getting worse, I decided to take them to my dermatologist. It was found that both kids had contracted a highly contagious staph infection. It infuriates me that they blew me off and put my whole family at risk along with their classmates since the NURSE told me they weren’t contagious.... without even seeing them! The dermatologist was so upset they reprimanded my husband and myself for not taking them to a doctor earlier. The case was so advanced, my kids became a medical example for their interns. Three weeks later and my children still aren’t 100% They should lose their practice for the way they run their business. I wish I could give negative stars! I’m currently debating making a formal complaint to the attorney general.

Matt Nondorf

The Doctor's here are the best. My kids all go here and I trust them all.

Debbie Frey

Staff is very rude. Especially the "scheduler" in the Portage location. She makes me never want to go there again, especially if I have to call and talk to her first. Ridiculous! Why would you have someone THAT rude and unwilling to help working in a pediatricians office - even answering the phones.

Jen Z

Our family has never had a problem in the over 6 years we've been. Dr. Campbell has been fantastic with examining my son and daughter. She answers each of my questions and concerns either in person or on their portal. While we do prefer Dr. Campbell, we have had need to be seen by other doctors at the office and have never had a problem or concern.

Rachel Crawford

I'm sorry, but any pediatrician who refuses to treat their patient based off their personal or religious beliefs is not in their line of work for the sake of helping children. My 6 year old, Emma, went to Associated Peds for 6 years. I had been telling them that Emma gets her vaccinations at the Health Department. The last time I was there, I slipped up and said she wasn't up to date. They needed an explanation and of course it wasn't good enough and told me that they will no longer be treating Emma. In front of Emma, I was told by her Doctor that she will no longer be able to come to that office. Meaning, if Emma gets hurt they will not help her. If she gets an ear infection, they will not prescribe antibiotics. Those are not people who care about children. Period.

I actually give this office 0 stars. There has been several instances in which this office has managed to disappoint in more than one way. They were the only attending physicians at the hospital with both of my children. As a new mother, in the beginning I thought nothing of it. I didn't know any different. When my first son was 4 months old he started to fall behind on the growth chart as a new mom, of course I was scared and wanted to know what to do. When I asked...the Dr. (Bishop) what I could do she said she would send a nurse in to further speak with me on the issue. The nurse returned 10 minutes later with two cans of formula...she didn't look at me, offer me any advises he set the cans of formula down and said I could leave. My son was fine. Just a shorty. Today I discovered I have influenza b. It is a Saturday so I had to call the attending physician at the hospital as it was advised by my dr. I have a 7 month old now and my oldest is now three. I was transferred to Dr bishop who said she would definatly get some Tamiflu for the three year old who was already exhibiting signs and some preventitive Tamiflu for the little guy. She said she would not be able to get to the computer for a hour but I didn't mind. Anything for my little ones. She called me back an hour later and told me because she could not prescribe the meds. Because we had seen an other provider ....when I began to question what else I could do Dr. Bishop hung up on me! This is the worst pediatrics center I think in the entire world. They really rude. They are unkind to the children they speak to the little ones like they are adults and the parents as though they are stupid. Do not take your children here. Not just because of my experience but because of others as well. Weather a child is unwell or not they deserve caring care...they deserve Dr's that are genuinely concerned about their well being. Dr. Bishop is none of the above. She is abrasive, and heartless. I cannot belive instead of suggesting what else I could do to prevent a 7 month old from getting influenza b, that someone with a medical degree had the audacity to hang up on a very concerned parent. Associated Peds is the worst and I beg you not to take your children here....not if you sincerely care about you childs well being take them elsewhere. These Dr's especially Dr. Bishop could careless about your child.

We have older children 25 and 26.. and younger 14 years old.. They have been there thru it all... Can't say enough good things...

I’m saddened every single time I go in at how absolutely undereducated the doctors here are about breastfeeding and how antiquated their advice is. It kind of makes me sick to think of how many breastfeeding relationships they’ve likely ruined by constantly expressing their opinions... This office e could desperately use the help of an IBCLC.

Sabrina Ramirez

I love the Doctors here. I have not had any complaints, but I recently called at 8:13 a.m. ( open at 8 a.m. Valpo office)In the morning to be answered with a snappy HELLO! So I said hello is this associated pediatricians? Followed by a snappy yes! So I said okay....I don't understand why you didn't answer the phone with that? So I continued to tell her I needed to cancel appt. Her name was Jennifer and I was very upset when I hung up. i rarely complain or write reviews, but this is concerning. What if it was an emergency and I got a rude Hello, and think I dialed wrong number? I almost hung up due to that thought. very unprofessional.

April Manley

I love the DR there I am 28 and they where my doctors when I was born and now they are my kids Dr .

Great job! I have a 2-year old daughter with severe hearing loss and you sat on her paperwork for over 2 weeks, delaying treatment that she needs! You managed to stress out my wife and only faxed off the paperwork when she was practically in tears on the phone with you people! From the looks of the reviews, you should be reported to the Valparaiso Police Department for Child Abuse! If an administrator is reading this, I'm not going to stop until everyone I know has heard about how your staff can't even handle a simple fax - how can they handle treating children if they can't do even that? But, from the looks of the reviews, I think we all know the answer to that.

JoAnne Mellen

The staff on more than one or two occasions was rude or disrespectful. Also, they refused to treat my children and several other children in the area who were not fully vaccinated. You might not agree with my choice to not vaccinate or delay vaccines, but they are my children and this my choice. Our new doctor told us that he also didn't agree with our choice not to vaccinate but he said yhat he is our doctor and not our judge and would never turn a patient away. He also said what if some day my child decided to smoke or eat to much junk food? He would agree with those choices either by again would never even think about not being their doctor. Associated pediatricians crossed a line if you ask me.

Matthmaroo W

Love the staff here So glad they don't treat the crazies that refuse to vaccinate. It's not about personal choice , it's a about the good of our society ... not what you read on Facebook

Kelly Fairris

Dr Bukata is very knowledgeable & extremely caring.

Kimmy Gibbler

Been taking my daughter there since she was born! Love the doctors! Friendly helpful workers! Patient portal! Bravo!

guy craft

Use to be wonderful... Now it takes over 2 months to be seen for 10 mins. They have stop using their own portal and stop calling in RXs or sending the wrong one to be filled...

Andrew Soleim

Both of my daughters are patients here. Our experience has been nothing but good. Dr. Campbell is always thorough in her checkups. She is honest and informative about potential concerns, but reassuring about the actual risk. The nurses and office staff always are able to answer questions and address concerns to help us decide whether to bring the kids in to be checked out or not. Scheduling is done well; we have never had to wait more than a few minutes to get in. They hold appointment slots open each day in case someone needs to bring in a sick kid on short notice. I don't know what some of these other reviewers are talking about - the doctors and staff here have never been anything but respectful and helpful. I can't recommend Associated Pediatricians highly enough.

My wife, child, and myself came into the Valpo office for a scheduled weight check. My daughter is less than 3 weeks old. In the past two weeks, she has choked on her own vomit twice. The first time, we took her to the emergency room. The second time, we were only a day away from our next appointment (today), so we convinced ourselves to wait it out and talk to the Doctor about it with our visit. After being weighed, we informed the nurse on our babies vomiting and choking incidents. The nurse was concerned and informed us that she would pass the word on to the Doctor on staff (Dr Miller). When Doctor Miller arrived, he opened the door without introduction and would not come inside the room to talk to us. He stood in the doorway for our whole conversation. We told him of our daughter's incidents and he 100% wrote us off. He informed us that we were feeding her wrong and that our daughter was fine (even though our daughter stopped breathing the first time). We asked if there was any medicine or anything that we could do to help. We are already keeping her upright all the time and monitoring her habits very closely. In my opinion, Dr Miller was not friendly, not professional, and not helpful whatsoever. One would expect a pediatrician to be a good role model and someone you could depend on. However, with Dr. Miller, it proves the saying that "even doctors can be last in their class." After our appointment with Dr Miller, we are now searching for a new pediatrician. Very disappointing.

I have had wonderful experiences with this practice. I have found all the Dr's and nurses to be very professional and attentive and I wouldn't go anywhere else. We have used a few different pediatric practices over the years based on where we were living and by far they have been the best!!

Adam Sworden

We take our daughter to Associated Pediatricians. All of the staff and Doctors are professional, responsive, and respect the parent child relationship while discussing and providing treatment. Further, Jill, who works with processing insurance payments at their Office goes above and beyond any other medical office we have experience with. She makes sure to review in detail any outstanding issues before contacting us.

Caitlin McNabb

Love the docs and NP's here, everyone is so compassionate and caring.

Nathan and Bridget Millis

I have left two messages with the office manager in over a week and not received any reply. My toddler was in their office last week because she had been running a very high fever, 103.5. Dr.Bukata examined her, I told him she had puffy hands that morning and a high fever unless on ibuprofen. Even then she was running a low fever. He gave her the usual check up, told me how he had been with the practice for 20 years and made a big deal about all he knew in regards to kids being sick with a fever! Dr.Bukata then sent us on our way, with no diagnosis, no tests, no meds...just an explanation that she had some kind of virus and to wait it out three more days. I was not satisfied with that diagnosis, and thank goodness I immediately called another doctor who got her in two hours later. She had strep!!! A doctor NOT affiliated with Associated Pediatricians ordered the strep test (5 min in office test) within two minutes of examining her! My daughter would have been in the hospital if I had waited three more days! I’ve taken my two kids to Associated Peds for 8 years. Over the past few years, this pediatrican become more concerned with charging for online quizzes (testing learning disabilities) and fluoride treatments then diagnosing sick kids! What a joke! Don’t worry though, they still charged my card for the copay and filled with my insurance!
