We were new to the area a few years ago and were referred to this practice by our OB and a friend. We have been taking our son there for over 3.5 years. We Love it! The nurses are all very nice and the Dr.'s are great. In addition to the wonderful care they provide, we love their flexibility and hours. Whenever my son has been sick we received great council from the nurses over the phone. They also always try to squeeze us in the same day if there is something urgent that needs to be seen right away. As a new mother they were very patient with me and considerate.

I had been taking my son there since he was born. We ‘ve seen several doctors for both well-baby check and sick baby visits. Everything was alright until my son had a severe peanut butter allergy just a couple days before his 9 month check-up. Since it was the pediatrician suggested giving peanut butter to my baby son, I told her the whole story of this allergy incident and ask for her advice. She told me to avoid peanut butter until I discussed it with an allergist. So we went home and received a bill of copay for discussing an allergy issue during a regular check-up. Well, first of all, I thought I should go through all my concerns with my son’s pediatrician since it is a good time for troubleshooting and the doctors can suggest an additional visit to fully discuss the problems with me if necessary. Secondly, if the pediatrician was going to bill me for mentioning of allergy questions, why not giving me more information and advice for future allergy concerns. I had even made the appointment with an allergist before this visit. It is just a easy money by just saying don’t eat peanut butter until discussed it with an allergist. Thanks and bye “doctor”!

I have been taking my kids here for the past 15 years. I've been extremity happy with the doctors, nurses, and staff at each and every visit.

Dr Liber has been our family pediatrician since he started practicing in 1987 and can't imagine entrusting my children's healthcare to anyone else! On a multitude of occasions, he has gone beyond the call of duty and customer service! There have been times during family travel or even here near home, where Dr Liber has stayed on the phone (for hours) with emergency rooms, just to ensure the highest level of care for my children. Although I know that nobody is perfect, and everyone is allowed their opinion... but anyone leaving a negative review, most likely pocesses no empathetic qualities and should probably look inward for the cause of their discontent.

We have been taking our children here for 14 years. They know what they're doing and care a lot for their patients.

Don't usually write reviews but really had to refute to a couple of bad reviews regarding Dr. Liber. I have been with him for 23 years and 4 children. There is not a better Pediatrician in the Western suburbs. No, he does not coddle the parents but I have realized over the years that it is because he is very focused on the patient. When he is done with your child's exam, he will take as much time as you need to answer questions.

Great Experience! We have been with this practice since I was three months pregnant with my 17 year-old-son. Doctors have rights at Lurie's Children Hospital which is important. Had lots of issues with the delivery of my second son and this practice has been great walking us through everything. Would not leave them ever!

I went to Wheaton Pediatrics for about 2 years and half while living in the area. They took care of our daughter, they were prompt, fast and efficient when It came to records, appointment setting or even call backs from the physicians or nurses, they listened and were empathetic to our needs as a family.

We have 6 kids, and have been going to Wheaton Pediatrics for over 20 years. Over the years, we have used the on-call service countless times. We have used the sick-call service several times per month during flu season. We have never had a bad experience with a doctor there. Ever. They are all outstanding. I think Wheaton Pediatrics does an excellent job of striking a balance between patient care—which has always taken precedence—and administrative and recordkeeping responsibilities. All medical practices are changing, whether we like it or not. Wheaton Pediatrics has not compromised patient care at all, and in fact has improved it by improving accessibility to patient records—particularly if you have to use an Emergency Department or the on-call center. I can see some of the reviews mention extra billing for discussing chronic health conditions during well-checks. (Allergies, ADHD, etc...) I can understand why it’s frustrating, but the policy is very clearly presented when you make your appointment. I am very grateful that we have a pediatric practice like this here in Wheaton. I can not recommend it highly enough.

Wheaton Pediatric has changed from being patient-centered to money-centered. When we first joined a few years ago, they were great. They answered all of our questions, and there was no issues. However, within the past year or so things have been changing. Appointments are more rushed so they can get through as many patients as possible. Their billing department is just plain mean. Even our insurance agent was telling us how rude and aggressive their billing department was (if an insurance agent is telling you that you're rude, you have some serious problems). The biggest blotch on Wheaton Pediatric is our latest experience. We had a well check-up for our son. One of the forms you fill out asks if there is anything you want to ask the doctor (ours for the day was Dr. Ute Monson). We wanted to ask about his gluten allergy. It had recently gone away, and we wanted to know what we should do next. The doctor had a few minutes of conversation with us, and that was it. No tests or anything else came of it. The total well-check up time was 45 minutes including the time spent waiting for the doctor. 90 minutes is reserved for each well-check up, so no extra time was taken. We found out later that the doctor had indicated that we had to be billed for extra time, which that we had to pay for. We were effectively punished for trying to take care of our child. One of the biggest problems in American healthcare today is how doctors are turning into salesman and trying to squeeze every last dollar out of their patients. Wheaton Pediatric has turned into the embodiment of this problem.

The doctors are great. They keep you very informed, and they seem like they love what they do. The administration staff, however, needs some work. They need to train their staff to be a bit more customer service friendly.

Wheaton Pediatrics is the absolute best! No matter what doctor you see (although you can request to see a certain one if you want), they are all great and extremely knowledgeable. My now 15 month son has been seen many many times over the past year with issues from reflux to ear infections and we always receive the best care! The nurses and staff are very awesome too! No complaints! :)

So my review is mixed because we love all the Doctor’s especially Monson and Liber. Our issue has been with Adria one of the nurses. We have 3 kids that we’ve taken here since birth. Our oldest who is 5 is scared to see the doctor if she comes in first. She is rough and has a terrible bedside manner. If you ask her a question she rolls her eyes and acts as if we are inconveniencing her. I don’t think I’ve ever met a nurse that seemed to hate her job so much. Weird since she works with children Unfortunately we seem to get her every time we bring our kids in no matter which doctor we see. The rest of the nurses seem wonderful and the doctors as well. If that wasn’t the case we would’ve switched practices by now. We’ve recently tried requesting any other nurse.

Nice place, we take both of our kids here.
