The only nice doctor at this place is Dr. Nakanishi. She listens to you and works hard to help you. The staff otherwise seems to have issues with sending prescriptions and then blames the pharmacy. I have been waiting 2 days for a serious medication. I’m very upset with this establishment and will probably be searching for another doctor. Some of the women who answer the phone seem to have an attitude for no reason. Please work on these things and actually appreciate and help people who come to you for help.

It really is like they're trying to get you pregnant so you (and your insurance) will pay them even more money! Don't go to these incompetent people or you'll end up with a baby you didn't plan on having right now! This has happened several times over the years that I've been with them and I've had to stay diligent about protection and not getting pregnant because of their incompetent nurses... I attempted to reach them about renewing my prescription (which they only do if you set an appointment with them) so I agreed of course and set a time and date one month ahead but needed a refill of my birth control in the meantime. They agreed to do it and told me that they would fax it out to CVS where I get my prescription. I was going on vacation in two days and over the course if those TWO WHOLE DAYS I still got no response and no refill and contacted them over half a dozen times to refill my prescription so I wouldn't be late and possibly get pregnant! There was never a renewal, even though the incompetent nurses repeatedly told me everytime I called that they would even call the CVS themselves. I spoke to the management at Cvs Pharmacy, it wasn't on their end...Two days go by and I had enough, took care of my prescription at the minute clinic at Cvs and now I don't even need them! Do yourself a favor and only go to this place if you WANT to get pregnant!!

I've seen all 5 doctors, and I think that they're all great! I'd never want to switch offices.

Dr. Nakanishi was very attentive, and seemed competent and collaborative. The practice however is utterly dysfunctional. I will not be returning.

I have been going to these doctors for 10+ year and I have had nothing but a wonderful experience here. I have met with 4 out of the 5 doctors and all of them have been extremely knowledgeable & helpful. Now that I'm expecting my first baby I am so happy to be in such good hands leading up to my delivery. I couldn't recommend them more :)

I have delivered all 3 of my children with this practice. The doctors and staff are simply amazing! I was not the easiest patient to deal with but they treated me amazing each time and any questions or concerns I had I knew I could call and would be helped right away. I love that when you call it is not an answering service you are going to actually talk to a real person from the office. I have never felt so comfortable going to a doctors office.

I like the doctors fine but this office has THE WORST communication. Despite going through one of my pregnancies with them, I will not be returning.

I love the way they handled me inside and Out

The staff is friendly and the doctors are phenomenal. I always leave the office with a smile-everyone remembered me and was knowledgeable about my situation. The entire office feels like family!

Ob-Gyne Associates of Libertyville has delivered my twins, and my two little girls. The doctors here are kind, compassionate, and knowledgable. All three of my births went a little different, and each time the pregnancy and delivery were managed wonderfully. I have seen all four doctors many times, and they all have delivered great care to my babies and me. I have recommended this office to many people and will continue to do so. Sometimes you have to wait a bit - but that is the nature of a practice where not all things can be scheduled.

When I found out I was pregnant, I searched the reviews and this place looked like a legitimate, high quality practice. The doctors are high quality in terms of knowledge and expertise, but they lack in the personable traits that I believe a doctor should have. Communication is dysfunctional across the board. Sometimes they call to tell me the results of tests and other times I have to wait until I'm back in the office to find out my results. I realize they are probably very busy, but it's tough to feel welcome in an environment when there is no personalized care, especially during one of the most drastic changes of your life. After this pregnancy, I will be looking else-ware.

I work at Condell so I chose this office based on the convenient location (it's located within the hospital). That was a HUGE mistake. If you plan on getting pregnant DO NOT GO HERE! There's 5 doctors and they require you to see each one because when you give birth, whoever is on-call will deliver your baby. At first I thought this was a good thing because you get the expertise of five doctors versus one. WRONG! There is NO communication between the doctors and staff. I had a miscarriage scare and the doctor had no idea what I was there for and walked in the room and congratulated me. Two days later I came in for more tests with a different doctor and she had to ask me why I was there because the previous doctor did not document anything. They delay getting test results back to you-you will have to call if you want your results on time otherwise it will be 4-5 days later than expected. You have to pay close attention to your bill because they tend to charge for tests you did not receive. And the charges vary for the same exam. Since I work in healthcare I was able to notice this and after some disputing they adjusted my bill accordingly. After my bad experience with them, many others have come forward telling me about their bad experience. It is not worth the frustration to deal with them. I have switched doctors and my experience is so much better. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere; there's so many better options out there!

My son was delivered by Dr. Spellman in 2014 and my daughter by Dr. Nakanishi in 2016. (whoever is scheduled to be on-call that day will deliver the baby) All five doctors are kind, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and experienced. Dr. Middleton joined the group a year or two ago and is wonderful! I would definitely recommend the practice to anyone. The office in Libertyville is conveniently located inside Condell on the first floor right off the main lobby. The office staff is helpful and pleasant. Appointments are easy to make and wait times are usually minimal. (they do respond to emergency calls within the hospital) Their online patient portal is a nice way to track your appointments, billing, and health history. With something as important as your reproductive health and the prenatal care and safe delivery of your children, I can say I am extremely satisfied with OB-GYNE Associates.

EDITED 9/6/19 to add: The doctors at this facility do read and respond to their reviews. I just received a call from Dr. Middleton, who was compassionately concerned about the quality of my experience. We spoke at length, as she wanted to ensure that I was still comfortable and trusting of her care. She did mention that they are addressing some internal issues related to my review. It goes a long way with me to discover that a professional not only reads their reviews, but cares enough to take the time to respond to them, and to take ownership, and address the situation. I'll definitely keep seeking care here, because I believe in second chances. I'm leaving my initial review below, because there really isn't any altering the past, but I have hope for a more positive future experience! ------------------ Original Review: The reason I give 2 stars and not 1 is because the staff is kind, and my initial experience was positive. However, that said... this place has serious issues with follow-through. If you go there for the routine stuff and you aren't concerned about anything, your experience will probably be just fine. I went in on 8/15/19 for an ultrasound. I was told they'd have my results in a week, and someone would call. When no one called me by the 22nd, I called them. I was told my results were in, and they apologized for not calling me. They said someone would call me back. No call on 8/22. No call on 8/23. Finally, a medical assistant called me the morning of 8/24. She told me my results were "abnormal" and that the doctor wanted to schedule a biopsy. I asked her what the results meant, and she said she couldn't tell me, but that the doctor would explain in detail when she called me on Monday (8/26). Okay, great. Now I, a person diagnosed with anxiety, have to go through the entire rest of the weekend thinking "abnormal results" but not knowing what that means. The doctor didn't call me on Monday. I called the office Monday at 3:30, and the office was closed. The doctor hadn't called me by mid-morning on Tuesday, 8/27, so I called them. They again apologized (not really helpful) and told me that a nurse or the doctor would call me "probably" before lunch. No call. No call by 4:45 pm. I called the office. I again explained that I needed to have my results explained to me, and I needed to get the biopsy scheduled. More apologies. By this time, I'm thoroughly fed up, and I tell her that if someone doesn't call me back by the end of the day, I'm going to come to their office the next day and just sit in the office until someone has time to talk to me. It is now 5:30 pm on 8/27 and still no call. I would happily have made an appointment to come in and hear my results, but that's not what they said. They said I'd get a call. All I'm asking is that someone keep their word. You don't give a medical assistant carte blanche to call and give someone bad news, unless said medical assistant can explain what the news means. It is, quite simply, cruel. It's only my life we're talking about. But hey, I guess I'm just supposed to wait and hope for the best.

I have had the absolute best experience here with all of the doctors and especially the nurses. I had a pregnancy loss last year and had switched OB's during it after having a horrible experience with my previous doctor. All of the doctors at the office were so kind and accommodating during everything. Now I am 6 months pregnant and could not be happier with the care I have received at the office, I feel totally comfortable and taken care of.

I reviewed the OB GYNE Association of Libertyville before the birth of my first child, and you can read my observations below. Just noting that they worked with me during a second pregnancy where I had no insurance until 21 weeks. Also, during both deliveries, the OB on duty allowed me to have only intermittent fetal monitoring and a hep-lock instead of an IV, so I had more freedom of movement during labor. Here is what I thought during pregnancy #1: I haven't been bowled over with the care I have received here, but not disappointed either. It is basically what I expect from a busy office setting. My best friend had a midwife and a home birth recently, and honestly, I learned more from that midwife when I was NOT pregnant than I have from the OBs here. They are professional and they know their stuff, but always give bare-bones appointments (check in, blood pressure, fetal heartbeat, then you're done). This doesn't bother me, because from the beginning I have expected to learn most of my information from other sources. My birth class instructor has sent me more practical info in one email than my OBs have in my entire 6 months with this office. However, in my 11th week I had some spotting and cramping. The office got back to me almost immediately, and I got an appointment for the next day. The OB who saw me was kind and knowledgeable. This experience has helped me stick with this association. Over all: professional care, given by experts. I do not feel they are very warm or personal, but again, I don't really go to a medical office for that side of things. Wait time has been fine. Hardly any waiting the waiting room, and usually about 5-10 in the examination room.

This office made my pregnancy an awful experience. I dreaded going to my appointments because my temper raised every time I was there because I always had to argue with the doctors. If you have any type of opinion or intend to ask questions- as you should do in regards to your own health and baby. Don't go here. They will be rude and indignant if you ask why they want to do something because they get defensive like you're questioning their medical opinion. Due to finding out I was pregnant late in my pregnancy my due date was estimated based on ultrasound from a different doctor, when I told them it was 2 weeks off (after checking my period tracker app) multiple doctors ignored me when I told them repeatedly until it passed my "due date" and then they continually threatened me to induce me and told me I was a bad mother. The office manager is awful. The doctors do NOT communicate with each other. And will perform a membrane sweep without even telling you! After my delivery the doctor would not circumcise my baby they said we had to bring him into the office and pay $400 out of pocket. I then found out they lied, it WAS covered by insurance and when I called the office manager she argued with me and refused to call my insurance after I just spoke with them twice telling me it was covered. But When I went back for my 6 week postpartum checkup, Dr. Spellman was very nice and pleasant!

I have to say I have not had a good experience with OB- Gyne Associates of of Libertyville. I am pregnant with my first child and I feel like a new patient every time I'm in the office even though I have been going back once a week. Nobody seems to remember me. Its like impossible to get an appointment at the place even though have 4 doctors on staff. Not once has any of the doctors ever let me know the progress of pregnancy unless I asked. The doctors are always in a hurry and have no interest in getting to know you. For a first time mom who has no idea what is going on they should be a little more informative. I have never waited less than 30 mins to be see by a doctor on average an appointment takes about an hour. When you call in to the office with a question or concern you can never talk to someone right away you are always put on hold. OR even told the will call you back, they never call back. I will not be going back to this place once I complete my care for this pregnancy.

Kara Elizabeth

Minimum wait time, even for just a blood draw, is 40 minutes. They have convenient hours, but I've never found a time of day that is any less waiting. I plan at least 2 hours for appointments, and that's about the average time it takes. That said, the doctors are knowledgeable and always take the time to answer questions. I discussed my birth plan with 4 of the 5 doctors, but none of it was put in place when I had to have an unexpected emergency C-section. When the time comes, don't rely on any conversation you've had with the doctors or staff - make sure to have a copy of your birth plan in writing that you take with you to the actual birth or it won't get implemented. Good doctors, poor organization and communication across the business.

I’ve been coming to this office for a few years now and I have to say I am a Pain in the butt patient to deal with but Dr Middleton is very wonderful takes her time with me and explains everything . I had to call the office recently I had a problem that my internal doctor created and I spoke with a sweet girl Kelly she was very helpful, took her time with me, even followed up with me. Definitely went beyond what she needed to do. I appreciate the time this office spends with me and I’m sorry if they are running behind it’s probably because they have to deal with old people like me. 5 stars isn’t enough for this office.

Carrie Jones

I am new to the area and decided to try this group of physicians. My experience was a very pleasant one. I had to wait a bit for them but I expect that when going to the doctors office. The wait was totally worth it. When the physician came in the room she did not seemed rushed and answered all my questions. I will be referring these doctors to my friends in the future.

I tried to call to get through to a nurse or a doctor about symptoms I was having prior to an appointment. I have called nunerous times in the past two days but every time I called to speak to any nurse or doctor, I was told to call back again later but when I did they were all on lunch or gone. The reseptionist said she left two messages for the doctor to call me but I Did not get a call on either of those days. If I didn’t already have an appointment scheduled I would have made it somewhere else based on the unnresponsiveness of the staff here.

Courtney Bilstein

Nobody called me and told me my test results. I had to find out from the Walgreens pharmacy telling me my prescription was ready. When I called them to ask what was going on, they didn't answer any of my questions and just explained how to use the medication (and were very rude about it too.) I do not feel like a valued and cared for patient. Definitely find another OB if you want your doctor to care about you and your well being. The staff of this office do not know what communication is.

Tasha Taylor

Just had our first baby and Dr. Middleton was wonderful! So thankful for her and the Condell birthing center staff.

I tried this office after moving into the area. I was beyond pleased with the staff and physicians. I will continue to go there and recommend it to others.

Jori Curry

I have been seeing Dr. Morrison for over 20 years, and can't say enough good things about her and her practice. They are genuine and excellent doctors. They delivered both my children, and I can't recommend them enough.

Sarah Tiley

Absolute worst obgyn I've ever had! Threaten me that I won't be able to leave the office until I pee even though i was literally just there a couple days before and say it with attitude. Try being a bit nicer, explain why, don't just threaten. THEN!! They rescheduled my appointment without telling me! And when I come in my appointment give me even more attitude and don't even talk to me. They talk to each other but never me. So I'm done with y'all. This is not the position you should be in. Go behind a desk and don't speak to people. Zero people skills!!!
