Always a positive experience!

I tried to request a records transfer for our son so he could continue his care under Dr.Peter Lio (who I highly recommend), who had moved to his own practice. They told me they would not transfer his electronic records unless I paid an exorbitant fee. Very disappointed in their level of customer service and interest in patient care.

Eugene Connor

they will charge you without authorization....i was disputing a claim and they charged the full amount...a few months/emails/calls later i was given 30% refund. On top of this, they're honestly non thorough, low grade dermatologists. They'd rather take a stab and give you wrong medication and have you come back than take the time to critically think and ask good questions. Don't be fooled by the modern look, find a quality dermatologist.

Nicky Huey

These jerks tried to charge me $50 for a rescheduled FIRST appointment/consultation. I decided to not reschedule my appointment because of the fact that they were going to try and charge me $50 for rescheduling. Now I'm getting bills in the mail for a place I've never even been to!!!! IT'S RIDICULOUS. Be wary, don't even bother making an appointment here. They are NOT accommodating.

Mudra Mukherjee

The place charges your credit card on file without consulting you. Do not go.

Brenda Salgado

this that

While Eric is helpful, I have some criticisms of this place! They bill that card so be aware. It's done without notice. And, calling them is pointless. Furthermore, a delay calling prescriptions in. Not healthy. Moreover, seems more focused on getting you in and out than clear communication and specific help. I'd have fewer questions if I had been given more than five minutes. Four, valet parking. Really? Given the cost of the visit they should absorb this. The building demonstrates where the overhead goes and it isn't into improved patient service. Inform customers more clearly about billing. Answer the phone! Call in prescriptions!

I was enetered his office suite and was greeted by a clean, lovely environment as well as a very personable & professional. Thank You!!

Bad experience, they charge my card 200$up front just in case insurance won't pay.

UPDATE: I have been seeing Dr. Todd Johnson here for a few years and he is the absolute best! Very thorough and professional and just a really nice guy. He does fabulous Botox! Kathy was a real gem to work with too! I have always had great experiences at this practice and just saw them for the first time at their new location (leave yourself a few extra minutes to get there and find it). I saw Dr. Johnson for my most recent annual check. He is very personable and thorough. Great experience and I would highly recommend him!

MARK V. Ferrante

Appointment process was great, the staff was very friendly and helpful and Todd Johnson, M.D. is knowledgeable, has a great bedside manner and he explains things clearly. It is refreshing to have good old fashioned doctor service in this era of a few horrible health insurances companies dominating the health care "industry".

Shala Flammer

I love Dr. Robinson who I have seen over the years- however for a script refill she went over all the questions with me and told me to come back for a simple blood draw for the refill-I go for the blood draw- wait well past my appointment time, another doctor came in to ask me THE SAME QUESTIONS yet again and now i am being charged $60 for "seeing a specialist". Awesome - thanks for charging me twice for the same questions.

Debra Farida

I've been seeing Dr Meyer Horn for years. He's incredibly smart, easy to talk to you, very quick at accurately assessing a problem, responds to email, and is a profoundly competent practitioner. I'm also in the medical profession, have referred many patients to him, and cannot speak more highly of his practice and bedside manner. Highly recommend for anyone who's interested in a very skilled dermatologist and surgeon who leaves minimal, if any scarring, for skin lesion removal and takes the time to consider patient concerns and well-being.

Extremely knowledgeable staff that makes you feel very comfortable.

Dr. Robinson is amazing! She actually sits down and listens to your concerns instead of dismissing them. Very refreshing and my skin has never looked better!

I had a terrible experience with this Dermatologist. I decided to go at the recommendation of a friend to see Dr. Karen Horn. Dr. Horn only works during normal business hours on which ever days she is in so I had to take off personal time in order to see her. When I arrived they would not allow me to have the appointment without allowing them to keep a credit card on file. I have never had a Doctors office demand to keep a card on file and now believe that they are much more concerned with billing than service. They also had me schedule a follow up appointment and informed me that they would charge my credit card if I did not give proper notice to cancel. When I finally met Dr. Horn she looked at my skin for maybe 10-15 seconds before coming up with some generic skin care routine. She was cold and impersonal and probably spent a total of 10 minutes with me despite the fact that the entire appointment probably lasted an hour and a half between waiting in the waiting room and meeting the associate. I was particularly disappointed in this because I had used my time off of work in order to see her specifically and she hardly gave me any notice or time. After reading these other reviews I feel confident that I don't need to return. Oh - and on top of that my skin looks exactly the same despite following her regime for 3 months.

Staff is friendly and responsive. They are consistent with follow ups and scheduling. Dr. Arch is amazing! Always has a solution to your problem or concern. I recommend Dermatology and Aesthetics to everyone!

I have no problem with them charging my cc for services rendered.

Lemna Parvini

Horrible experience. All they care about is testing the medication (steroids and Antibiotics) and creams they sponsor on you. They won’t care about what is causing the problem and they also try to book you with nurses and not drs. I would stay away if you care about your skin.

Ashley French Hall

Consistently 45min - 1 hour late. Scheduling is not that hard, get it together.

M Brai

Great doctor who knows his stuff and has an excellent bedside manner.

Amelia Leigner

Some of the staff are great, but there are a handful of people who work there that are incredibly incompetent. They don’t want to help you. Be cautious when visiting. You can get much better service elsewhere.

Tiffany Zimmermann

Horrible experience. I was told the medication I needed was sent to the pharmacy next to my house. Only after several calls to the office did someone finally answer and told me that they sent the medication to a pharmacy 45 minutes away. I went to the pharmacy the “sent” it to me it wasn’t there. Spent 3/4 of my day trying to figure out where the medication was. There was lack of communication from the doctor to the patient.

Hanna Eimiller

I see Eric because he has more flexible hours than the doctor I was seeing does. I like Eric because he actually listened to my frustration with my skin, instead of just prescribing me the same medications I've been on time and time again. However, the nurses have taken two weeks to fill prescriptions before. And the office only has VALET parking (how ridiculous?) or street parking, which for some reason is super difficult in the mornings.

Zach Lucchese-Soto

Mike Driscoll

I have never been more disappointed in a professional firm with regard to patient response and follow up over the phone. On numerous occasions, the staff would pick up the line, put me on hold and eventually I'd get sent to voice mail. On several occasions, they also did not call me back during the stated service level timeframe (24 hours). They did not communicate the prescription details to me adequately and didn't respond at all when I asked questions about the medications. While the one doctor I've been able to see in last 3 months was great (Dr. Arch), from an administrative and logistics perspective, Wicker Park Dermatology is failing, big time.

Cindy Valentin

They r the best in derm care.

Our family has been going to Dr. Arch for years now and we highly recommend her and the practice. She is extremely knowledgeable, thorough and professional yet warm and caring. Having children of her own, she is excellent with kids making them feel at ease right away. The staff is very nice, competent and efficient. The new facility is beautiful and clean. The valet parking makes it super easy and is cheaper than street parking would be. Go see Dr. Arch, you won't regret it!

The facility is beautiful, the staff were gracious, helpful, and courteous and I have only great things to say about Derm of Wicker Park. Dr. Todd Johnson has been my dermatologist for the past few years (for annual check ups) and I followed him to this practice -- he is a gem: very thorough, very knowledgeable, very trustworthy. I've referred a number of friends to him and have only heard great reports for them as well.

Melanie Lortie

Love this place! I've seen Karen Horn, Meyer Horn, Erin, and Sylvia. I've have great experiences all around. I would definitely recommend any of them.

Nice place. Nice People.

I love Dermatology and Aesthetics. It's a fun, modern office space, and the staff are always friendly. More importantly, I feel so happy with my treatment. I've been suffering from eczema/psoriasis for 11 years. When it first started, it was so small it didn't seem like a big deal. As it grew, I saw so many dermatologists and all they would recommend was different ointments. Every year it would just get worse, spread, grow, and all I would get was ointments and creams. I saw Dr. Rani for the first time last year. Right away she took a biopsy (I think thats what it's called) to officially determine if I had psoriasis or eczema. NO DERMATOLOGIST EVER DID THAT. They just looked at it and called it what they wanted. It would flip from eczema to psoriasis for every different dermatologist I saw. Once the results came back, Dr. Rani was able to treat me better. Long story short, my eczema is completely cleared, and my feet are the best they've looked in 10 years!! Dr. Rani has recommended treatments and solutions no dermatologist I've been to has ever recommended/provided. She's been aggressive (in a good way; not just giving me a cream) with trying to alleviate my eczema, and it's been great. I couldn't be more pleased. I even recommended my husband go here to get a cyst removed from his head; that's how happy I am with Dermatology and Aesthetics. I have so much more confidence in my skin again, and no longer have people asking "what's wrong with you?"

Louis Khor

It's great when you wait for your appointment, go through triage, get into a gown, wait forever only for the doctor to cut things short after disorienting information I didn't fully have time to process and properly ask questions about. I was obviously disoriented and still trying to understand what was happening, but he had to go off to another patient because he was already late getting to me.

I had a dermaplanning session with Sylvia two days ago and my face is glowing...my skin has never looked so good! I also see Dr. Robinson for Botox and feel safe in her hands.

Shelby Rene

Called in on four different occasions to have questions answered about the medications I was prescribed because it was not explained to me at my initial appointment. I was assured each call that I would be getting a call back or an email. It has now been over a week and I just tried calling again and still no answers. Very unprofessional.

Ritu Reimer

I have been a patient of Dr Horn for almost a decade. I come from a medical family, so my standards in care tend to be a bit higher. There is not a single experience with this practice that is below EXCELLENT. In all the years and appointments, I have NEVER experienced any lack of professionalism. If anything, Dr. Horn has an incredible bedside manner. Meaning, he exudes empathy, expertise, professionalism, and VERY clearly explains everything. I have heard many people say their dermatologist tries to sell them on their (pricey) products among many other gripes when dealing w/ this medical specialty. I have never experienced this sort of dynamic. If anything, 8 years ago my face Rx face wash was really beginning to take a financial toll ($200 per bottle). Before I knew it, Dr. Horn had his own formulation for his patients to purchase for a VERY reasonable price ($11.00). I was nervous bc its a different wash but it worked beautifully. Additionally, if they give you a new Rx, 95% of the time they have samples to get you started and keep you stocked for travel. My husband is also his patient and has MS. Dr. Horn has been incredible in his treatments as well. None of our presenting issues continue. My mom had a skin issue (lives in St.Louis) and Dr. Horn consulted on her case and his recommendation cured her!!! This year we moved across the country but did not want a new dermatologist. He has worked with me to continue care and is beyond amazing. If you want your skin issues to improve, visit Dr. Horn....yes its initially quite the wait to get in, but when you meet him, you will see why. I could go on and on, but this short novel should end here. See Dr Horn, you will NOT regret it! Logistics: Parking on site for $5. He is always on time.

Taylor Deloye

Terrible operation. Watch out for bills for procedures they do not announce while with patients. They'll hit you with ridiculous charges post appointment. 1st and last visit.

Susie Riskind

This place is the best! Dr. Meyer Horn and Dr. Karen Horn are wonderful doctors and their staff is top-notch. Their facilities and skincare store are great too. If you have any skin issues, this is the place to go.

Mark Smithe

Top notch care. Very knowledgeable doc. Nice people in the office.
