I have been extremely pleased with the doctors I have seen. The staff and the doctors truly care about you. They are attentive to your concerns.

Daniel Carr

The out patient laboratory services needs to clean house with the current staff it employs. 4 attempt to thread a simple butterfly iv and a staff that exudes condesention and inadiquecy.

Charlotte Sanderson

The right place to go for me to get healthcare.

Laura

Wonderful staff. Dr Freeman is amazing. He makes sure you have a clear understanding before you leave. Highly recommend.

Anita Shore

I was surprised when I read these reviews. I have been going to the Family Practice for several years. I have never had a problem with the billing department. My experience with any and all of the staff and doctors has been favorable. I guess only disgruntled patients write reviews.

Katie Ingle

Dr. Affleck is an amazing physician. He truly cares for his patients and their families. Following the passing of my father, Dr. Affleck took time out of his busy schedule to ensure that our family was doing well, and to pass along his condolences. None of my dads other doctors did this. I can say that this touched my heart in an indescribable way. I would recommend Dr. Affleck to anyone seeking ENT care and his staff is amazing too!

Richard McGee

Julie and Cindy in Admin are amazing. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with the people at Saltzer Medical Group

Mary Ann Vande Brake

Saltzer use to be a professional caring medical facility. I had a concern a year ago and completed a written statement at the Hawaii St. facility. I was never contacted nor provided an opportunity to rate my experience through a survey. I have just transferred care to another facility and was give a survey after our first visit. I feel Saltzer should adopt a similar practice.

My son saw a PA named Courtney and she was probably one of the best doctors there. I has taken him to a Saint Al's Quick Care because of possible dehydration and all they did was tell me to wait. However when I took him to Courtney, she told me a lot more helpful things and even had a nurse call me to check up on him before they closed. Great service and a great dcotor.

At both South and North clinics I'm impressed with overall positive and best practices attitude towards each patient. My primary physician,Dr. Roberts is not only very knowledgeable, but has the hands on experience to manage 90% of my health conditions. Dr. Kaiser's attributes are of the same caliber. My eye care is provided by Dr. Hainsworth and he is excellent as well. I am a paraplegic and my providers and their teams are patient and thoughtful at every encounter. Kudos to Howard, Dr. Roberts' outstanding, informative , excellent follow up and all in one special, kind, caring, knowledgeable angel as I like to describe him. Howard returns all calls promptly. He treats patients with kindness, patience and dignity. My providers are fantastic.I am truly blessed they are in network providers via the Medicare Advantage plan through Pacific Source.

After suffering multiple sinus infections this year, I made an appointment with Dr. Brian Affleck. He is a pleasure to work with and I feel comfortable in his office, which is a big deal for me because I seem to have uncontrollable anxiety about visiting the doctor. I've been to see him a couple of times now and I appreciate Dr. Affleck for listening to my complaints and his desire to figure out what's causing my sinus infections, instead of filling me with pharmaceuticals and patting me on the head.

Ted Wheeler

Excellent facility with professional staff. Hope nothing changes!

Phil Bence

Great people doing a great job.

I've been taking both my kids here for almost 7 years. I really love Dr. Andrews she's always very informative and helpful. I've read a lot of these bad google reviews on this clinic, but I'm pleased with my service here. it's not even a hit or miss. I like Saltzer.

I've had the worst time with Saltzer medical just trying to establish care for my children with pediatrics. The receptionists are all extremely rude and incompetent. Since April of 2017 I've been waiting for them to fax my old pediatrician office out of state to transfer records. They keep saying they will do it but they never do!!! I have had to call a few different times and each time I call to inquire if they have sent it yet the receptionist gets irritated and says she will right now and then low and behold they never do it... Then they told me I need to do it.. what? Why? Why can't you do your job? They are lazy and can't be bothered by their job. When I've called Saltzer 8 times out of 10 you have to talk to a very unhappy representative that is rude and just sounds irritated that you are even calling like they have something better to do with their paid time on the clock?! They are horrible! I get anxiety every time I have to call this place no matter how nice I am on the phone it's always the same treatment except maybe 2 times out of the 12 times I've spoken to Someone at saltzer. They also scheduled an appointment for me with a specialist for my son that they never told me about. They never called me to tell me they made the appointment I just get a call from an orthopedic doctor office I've never heard of telling me of my appointment and when I need to be there... who does that?! Schedules you without you knowing ?! And then doesn't even tell you what your appointment was. So when I had enough of nampa office I tried to move my kids too the meridian office ( mind you they still haven't tried getting my records from Utah which I have decided I am going to have to do by myself since their staff is so incompetent with their jobs... ppl need to be fired! A lot of people! Now when I try to establish care for my daughter's with a female Doctor Jane who used to be dr Bennet I am being told that dr Jane of meridian won't accept my 2 year old daughter as a patient unless i allow her to give my daughter 5-7 shots in every visit I make with her to catch her up with immunizations. And I said no I'm not okay with that many at a time because I want to take it slow since my daughter gets very high fevers every single time she gets an immunization. Well bechase I wasn't okay with that they didn't want to accept my daughter as a patient. The nurse or whatever she was just was giving me so many excuses trying to make me not want to become new patients . Because every time I said let's just get them scheduled she would give me another reason well the doctor won't see her unless she takes on siblings too (okay fine I'm okay with that) well okay dr Jane will do it but she also wants to let you know she only sees patients that get immunized (okay I'm fine with that that's not a problem) okay and another thing dr Jane wants you to know she has to give your daughter 5-7 shots each visit till she is caught up (no I'm not okay with that many at a time) the woman on the other end scoffs and just is like okay well then dr Jane won't accept her as a patient and that all the others drs were like that too. She was doing anything she could it felt like to get me to not pick this doctor as a doctor for my kids. Oh you know it's a far drive from nampa to meridian! This woman also said to me trying to discourage me from coming to their office. I felt like I was being discriminated upon and like my children and me weren't welcome or wanted. I've had nothing but problems with saltzer. The staff is So rude, snotty, and so unwilling to help! From cutting me off when I'm talking to making me feel unwelcome and a burden in their medical offices. A disgrace from A to Z. If you have had a great time with saltzer it's hard for me to believe that's even a real review. It's the staff that make the doctors and the whole place look bad. What a pitty they don't take more pride in their establishment. I'm positive they don't care they will never have us as patients anyways. Hopefully there is a good kind doctor in this area for my children somewhere.

This place is the worst. I have had RA for 5 years. I have seen a Rheumatologist since then and this place makes it nearly impossible to see a Rheumatologist! They won't accept documents from my previous Rheumatologist, INSTEAD I have to spend money out of pocket (I'M A SINGLE MOM BARELY MAKING ENDS MEET!!!) for a primary doctor to say "yep you need to see a Rheumatologist" (WHICH I'M ALREADY AWARE OF!)!!! Absolutely ridiculous. You guys suck!!!!

Kristal Kaye

The providers are amazing but the corporate buyout destroyed the care this company has for its patients and employees. You can feel it in the atmosphere. It's so sad.

When my 89 year old mother’s doctor retired from Saltzer Medical in the beginning of 2019 they told her she would have to wait until July to receive a new patient intake with Dr. Kerr. When she became ill this month it took me over an hour to convince them to let her come in and see a physician. She saw a PA there who failed to act on her stroke symptoms (which we described) and instead gave her an antibiotic for an upper repository cough. It took the ER Doctor at St Luke’s in Meridian just minutes to determine that she most likely had a stroke and to send her for tests which confirmed this. Leaving the practice. Beware. Tried calling the main number you gave in your response to get to the “operations director”. Unfortunately no one seemed to know who that was. 10 minutes wasted. Why don’t you leave your extension or a direct number if you would like to hear the specifics.

Very good hospital. Doctors are awesome. Wait time can be a little long, but it is definitely worth it. Nurses are also nice. Any review that seems snotty or mean must not be the Saltzer I go to. Amazing Place. If you had a hard time with Saltzer, you probably did something to deserve it.

I kind of feel like I'm on an assembly line with my doc. I show up on time for my appt. Wait 45 minutes, get taken to a room, wait 20-30 more minutes for the PA to come in for a quick chat, I have a list of questions and things I want to go over and it seems like my doc has reserved 10 minutes for me and I'm out of there. I'm now looking for a doctor who can spent a little time discussing things with me vs just efficiently getting back out the door. A couple years ago, I even called and asked for a "double time" appt, and told them I would pay the extra to spend an extra 15 minutes with my doctor, but that didn't matter. I was in and out before really discussing the things I wanted to. I guess this is the new common practice with the bigger medical chains. Also I feel like I get the minimum prescriptions and refills so I have to come back in more often to get refills. I hate that. My prescriptions are generic and cheap, not sure why I can't get a 90 day supply with a few refills. I'm not an addict or anything, but I guess they just feel they have to be really careful.

Dr. Stringam takes good care of me. The other doctors I've seen have also been professional and helpful. I have my labs done there as well.

Samantha Maline

I visited Dr. Jon Hlavinka at Saltzer Medical Group. After my visit with him I set my husband up for a visit with him for a wellness check. He was not going in for any issues other than general. Our insurance covers these visits 100%, however for whatever reason the billing department put it through as a "diagnoses" visit. Where they said the diagnoses was "fatigue" and promptly sent us a bill for the full visit amount. They then refused to change the order to a wellness visit which is exactly what it was. Never going back.

I gave a 1 star for the receptionists at the St. Luke's Nampa Salter Group. They DO NOT answer their phones EVER. It is incredibly frustrating!!! I have been trying for a week to get a hold of them to see if paperwork that I need ASAP has been faxed over to my work to complete my maternity LOA. I have yet to talk with a human... Now I give 5 stars for Dr. Dimichele!! She is a wonderful doctor and was so great with me during my pregnancy and she was incredible delivering my daughter!!! She is so kind and she listens to me. I would recommend her to anyone!!! UPDATE 2 HOURS LATER. I finally got a hold of my doctor's nurse and she had never even gotten the paperwork I need for my work. The receptionists never gave it to them!! I had walked into the office last tuesday and handed the papers mto a lady at the desk. She put them on a huge stack of papers.... I love Dr. DeMichele and her nurse is also wonderful!! Oh and I got a phone call at 5:10 from seltzer saying they were returning my voicemails that I left around 2pm to 3:30pm..... Anyway I highly recommend Dimichele!!

Always receive personal attention and care

the pediatric office could use more friendly faces. the front desk staff are not particularly friendly at greeting. they don't seem like they enjoy their jobs. i don't think i ever remember any of the gals greeting me with a smile at check in in all the 4 years we've been there. the doctor staff are good, but i really like and preferred the service of the P.A. the best. I think his name is Scott. he's super friendly yet professional, thorough and doesn't act in a rush to get you out. he seems to genuinely care.

Julie Allen

I was in and out of Saltzer QuickCare in under 20 minutes! The staff was kind and professional and the doctors exceptional. Thank you Saltzer Medical Group!!

Barbara Binger

Everyone has always been great. Friendly and helpful. Love the pleasant atmosphere that his employees project. Dr. Sadaj is a keeper.

Nick Parry

I wouldn't recommend Saltzer or St. Pukes to anyone. The doctors are like businessmen and the hospital is a medicaid rip off. Its not about your health, its about what medication a doctor can prescribe and profit on.

Linda O'Meara

Doctor Affleck and staff were natural and comfortable to be around. They put me at ease and did the needed work in a manner that was timely, yet not hurried. They took time to explain things, and were not coldly overly polite. I would suggest Dr Affleck and all the Dr's and Staff I've experienced at Saltzer.

Harvey Torres

my visit was very good, as always. However, follow up emails with respect to my condition have gone unanswered. Phone is not a good option because of the time place on hold and the un ending amount of options. Very difficult to speak to a "live" person.

J SOLO'S OUTDOORS

I was in the waiting room for about 10minutes,so that was not bad. I was seen by PA Melissa Kroon she was good and professional. I would recommend her. In the other hand there was a different PA drawing my blood she asked to spell my name and that was it!! She left the room without saying a word! Really unprofessional rude! No need to say names.

Mike Early

4 phone calls and 3 emails, and spoke with the receptionist over a period of 2.5 months, and no one will even call me back after leaving numerous messages. Usually, they won't even answer the phone so you just have to leave a voice mail. At this point I will attempt to find another doctor because these people either don't care, or are just to busy to even return a phone call.

Cassandra Rojas

I don’t recommend Dr. Affleck for tongue ties. We took our 2 month old to him after being recommended by Dr. Andrews. He cut her tie. We thought all was good but a week after we still had issues . She was 5 months before we found Melanie with Baby Bonds who taught us that ties should be lasored and there should always be exercises done for 6 weeks after . Where he cut caused scare tissue which caused her more pain . My daughter no longer has issues eating or gaining weight after seeing Melanie. Please do your research! See a dentist for any ties. We went through Dr. Zink .

Noelia Martinez

I called to have wellness check up to have done for my 5 year old called in July said the earliest they can see us is August 29th then I needed to reschedule now there are saying the earliest is September 30th

Richard Harris

You better like elevator music when you call. This review was unfair. I was frustrated by bring on hold for a long time when I tried to return their call. I got through in a reasonable amount of time the next day. Changing my rating to 3. There call directory is to cumbersome

Savanna Caballero

They charged over $200 more for the same text performed at a different clinic for $25.

Eithan Schuler

What is it going to take to get an appointment? I had an appointment scheduled for leterally an hour from now and the office called and said that the doctor didnt have enough time. This is the second place that has done this to me. So we got an appointment and got our blood work done and it's like they mixed our blood with someone else's. We keep getting calls about all these diseases we apparently have. And we have to pay for the medication that they're making us take for these diseases we know we dont have. Horrible doctor. Going somewhere else.

hillary duncan

Terrible directions, late 20 mins because of them, then they canceled my appointment, no phone call. New patient from out of town, no call?? No care, they won't treat you like a real person. I walked around the "billing building" with my baby, all alone, in a sketchy part of town for 25mins. I'm not an idiot. I used GPS still got lost. What a joke, building smelled once I got there. Absolutely go there if you want to get sick. Gross.

Me and my family have gone to Saltzer Medical for years and have been seen by various Doctors there and all have been very good to take the time and really provide the level of care that makes you feel that they really care. More recently myself and 3 older boys wanted to select a Doctor that not only would provide an exceptional level of care but would also take interest in developing a relationship. We have found all of that and more with Dr. Freeman not only is he very passionate in what he does and it shows but very caring. I never feel rushed Dr. Freeman is very thorough and meticulous in pen pointing and explaining the diagnosis and always takes the time to answer as many questions as you throw at him. We are so grateful for this caring man. Saltzer is lucky to have him for sure. I have no reservations in recommending him to anyone.

Lisa Kugel

I was looking for a new GP because I felt my last GP didn't listen to my concerns and was difficult to deal with. I didn't know what to expect here. I didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes before I went to my room. The nurse was thorough and answered my questions. Dr. Roberts spent more time with me than I expected. Dr. Roberts was great! He listened to my concerns, will set a follow up with me and listened to what I felt my overall needs were. I am excited to have found a doctor I can communicate with who knows way more than me of course but did not talk down to me.

Wayne Newberry

Great care and attention!

Kim Ellstrom

The receptionists are terrible!! I called to schedule appointments for my daughters and I spoke with Debbie, who was by far the rudest person I have ever dealt with. I do not understand how she can get away with being so rude and acting so inconvenienced when it is literally her job to schedule appointments. She was snobby and made it seem that it was my fault the pediatrics physician was so booked up, as if I should have called sooner. How am I to know when there are openings? I sincerely hope she is given a class or some further training on how to speak with customers. Unacceptable.

Marisol Rojas

I like so much more my OBGYN because he is always in all appt I have never been seen from a nurse practicioner .

Amanda Davis

Doctor Margo Smedshammer is awesome. She definitely listened to me, it was refreshing to have a doctor do so. Thank you Margo

Monica Hale

Last night I took my one year old daughter to Saltzer with a 105 degree temperature the PA-C made me aware that my daughter is at high risk of fibrile seizures. The PA-C I saw dropped the ball BIG TIME! After asking and clearly re-stating where the prescription should be sent to (the only 24 hour pharmacy nearby). They sent the prescription to the wrong place (a closed pharmacy). 12 hours later when Saltzer re-opened this morning I was able to track down the prescription and finally able to give it to her. Next time I will wait and take her to her pediatrician since I had to wait anyways.

Worst experience of my life. If I could give less stars, I absolutely would. I scheduled with Dr. DiMichele for my first pregnancy. I started having a concerning amount of bleeding, so naturally called right away to notify the doctor. I bled for days with no phone call back, no concern, or any urgency on the matter from this doctor or her nurse. They left me to have a miscarriage with no help or support whatsoever. I called Monday morning so I could at least get blood work done for confirmation of a miscarriage or simply some peace of mind since I STILL hadn’t been evaluated and still didn’t know what was going on.. again no urgency or concern from Dr. DiMichele or her nurse. I would never recommend this practice or this doctor to any searching for an OB doc. We all pray for the perfect pregnancy and sometimes that doesn’t happen. If my doc can’t be there for me through the bad, how can I trust her to care for my unborn child? It’s their job to care and comfort mothers and babies, as patients. This particular group hasn’t got that figured out. I would never trust her with a viable pregnancy. Oh and just an update. I’ve miscarried, still having pain and symptoms, and still haven’t heard from this ever loving doctor. My best advice is to keep looking. This place is garbage and unprofessional. Especially when your searching for something so special for your pregnancy. Best of luck.
