I Love going to Machen Family Dentistry, they see me on my lunch break on my appointments. Dr. Machen is gentle, caring and explains the work she is going to do before doing it. I met Dr. King today and he is gentle and thorough as well. My hygienists are sweet, gentle, and work hard to clean my teeth. I have always had great anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist. I had some bad experiences growing up and to be honest put it off as an adult for a ridiculous amount of time. I had a friend refer me to Machen Dentistry and I was so impressed. I was welcomed and felt comfortable as soon as I walked in. Dr. King realized right away I was a bit anxious and asked me what they could do to make my experience better. When it was time to have some work complete I had a warm blanket on, tv, the gas and any concerns or questions I had answered and met! I definitely recommend Dr. King and plan to make him my ongoing dentist!

If you are looking for the perfect dentist, look no further. Dr. Machen and her staff are amazing! I have been to several other dentists in this area, including pediatric dentists and Dr. Machen tops them all for total family dental care. My kids ages 3 - 14 love her. Not only is she an excellent dentist, but the kindness and compassion she shows toward you and your family is unlike any in this area. She truly cares about you as an individual. She thoroughly explains all options to you based on the level of care needed and there is never any pressure to make a rash decision. She listens to your concerns and spends the necessary time needed with you as a patient. I've never felt rushed or like just another patient in her long day of work. Her staff is also very kind and caring, from the front desk ladies, to the billing office, to the techs! Highly recommend Machen Family Dentistry!

My crown fell off Friday night and I called Machen Dental’s emergency number. Dr. King promptly called me back and scheduled a time to meet the following morning. He took the time to help me on a holiday weekend. He also took the time to take X-rays and to do a thorough examination in order to determine how to best help me. Dr. King is not only a skilled dentist, he is also a kind and caring person. I strongly recommend that you give Machen Family Dentistry a try!

I first learned about Dr. Machen from a billboard I had seen while driving through Idaho Falls. Since I was new to the area and in need of a dentist, I decided to call and make an appointment. From the first call I made the staff were extremely courteous and accommodating to my needs. They were able to collect my basic information over the phone so there was minimal paperwork upon arrival. The office staff greeted me immediately upon arrival and within a couple of minutes was escorted to the exam room. Once in the exam area my hygienist introduced herself and her assistant and performed a thorough exam. There were never any surprises as to what would be done or what sensations should be expected. I was also very happy to find current technology being used at every opportunity, from the ultrasonic cleaning device to the digital x-rays and digital photos taken from inside the oral cavity. Once the hygienist had completed the cleaning, Dr. Machen came in and completed the exam and reviewed all of the findings with me using the digital x-rays and photos that had been taken. After all of the findings were discussed with me, Dr. Machen presented several treatment options for me to consider and answered any questions that I had concerning each. Overall, my trip to see Dr. Machen and her professional staff was very pleasant. Dr Machen herself has a nice combination of professional expertise and excellent bedside manor.

Do not see Dr. King. His is very impersonal and seems like he just wants to get his job over with. I did not have a good experience with him. Dr. Machen however, could not be sweeter. She is kind and takes the time to really understand your concerns and actually listens. She enjoys her job and takes time to make sure it’s done well. She double checks all her work and makes sure your satisfied before you leave. She’s very friendly I don’t think you’d find a better dentist anywhere else! I had a cavity on the left side of my mouth in between teeth and after months of being told it’s too small to do anything by another dentist (Willamette dental) and not being able to even eat on the left side of my mouth due to the pain and discomfort it caused, Dr. Machen took care of it and filled it perfectly. Even a day later I was eating just fine and I couldn’t be happier with her work.

Very responsible and dedicated professionals! I'm very happy with this dentistry, and it has taken me a while to find a great one. I actually see Dr. King at this location and believe he is a great dentist! He and the staff are super helpful, very knowledgeable, carefully explain findings (xrays, history, charts, etc), and are transparent about any costs (even if it's paid by insurance). I know I can trust them. I wouldn't hesitate to refer anyone to Dr. King or Dr. Machen.

Our family had a marvelous, "knock-it-out-of-the-park" dentist for decades and when he retired, we didn't think we could find someone to fill his shoes. Dr Esther Machen has done this and taken it up a notch :). She's smart as a whip and extremely capable. Her kindness and empathy goes an awfully long way with us. Our son was involved in a terrible mishap while at a college baseball clinic, he took a line drive right in the mouth. His jaw was broken along with several of his teeth in addition to losing his front tooth completely. Not a great thing for a handsome young man. The first call I made was to Dr Machen-I wanted to ensure we were doing everything right the first time. He's fine and has healed beautifully but Dr Machen keeps a close watch on him and monitors his current condition. That incident was frightening but this sweet, thoughtful and adept doctor was so utterly terrific and really helped us through. We're giant fans of Esther Machen! Giant!
