I will start by saying i never leave reviews. I loved this office when Dr. Watabe was there. I was prescribed an anti depressant from him when i had my daughter. I called to get a refill and they claimed i had to be seen or couldn't get it. So i made my appointment. Which my insurance wouldn't cover because it's an unnecessary appointment. Mind you, i have been mostly consistent for 12 years with this type of medication. I have been off of it for a week and started to have "withdrawal symptoms " it was raining and i was running late. I called to let them know i would be late. Right then the receptionist said she would reschedule me but i was already on my way. I show up exactly 20 min late, which she said they would keep my appointment 20-25 min after the scheduled appointment. A girl was checking in before me so by the time she was done it was my turn and now it was 8:26. I tried to check in she said they canceled my appointment because it was over the time... yes i was late but i called and was there within the time i was told. All i needed was a PA to look at me and refill my medication. I didn't need a check or a room or anything. But they refused. Not to mention there was only one other girl. It was not a full office that was busy. There might be good DRs that I'm unaware of the receptionists are okay. I was just very unsatisfied with how it was handled and a giant waste of my time. Legacy just lost a patient. Never going back again.

The office of Dr. Thomas is great at keeping appointments, we only have to wait a few minutes to get in to see the doctor. Dr. Thomas is very friendly and caring about his patients. He actually listens to our concerns and shows empathy towards us.

This is my 3rd Pregnancy and my first time with Legacy OB. We moved from Idaho to Utah just after having our second baby and I had no idea who to go to for this pregnancy. I loved my OB in Idaho and was nervous about finding an office/doctor that I was happy with. My choice came after reading quite a few google reviews about different OB offices in the area. I ended up going to Legacy with Dr. Thomas as my doctor and have had no complaints (I’m currently 34 weeks pregnant) about him or about the office.

I loved this office! Everyone in reception was incredibly helpful, the nurses were kind and efficient, and dr Thomas was the BEST!! I had to have a c-section. Thanks to him everything went smoothly and recovery was better than I expected! He even helped me to discover that I have lupus and I have been able to get help to ease my daily pain. He is a wonderful doctor throughout pregnancy and postpartum. I will continue to see him for any babies I have in the future!

I’ve only ever had the best experience with Legacy OBGYN! We make the drive from Provo because it is SO WORTH IT! The front staff is friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable. Also, I always get great reminder calls and extra info about what to expect at my next appointment. I’ve had 3 babies through this clinic now, and it’s always been so warm and inviting. It’s also very close to AF IHC Hospital where I prefer to deliver — knowing my amazing doctor is just across the street when i am ready to deliver is such a comfort! All the doctors are fantastic, just in case your chosen OBGYN is unavailable come time to deliver. Highly recommend Dr. Andrew Thomas! Such a great listener, and always happy to explain any questions or concerns I had.

Had a great first pregnancy experience with Legacy. Even though my original OB moved early on, the transition to another doctor was pretty smooth. The office staff is great and Jones and Thomas were both good to work with. My only complaint is that the wait time is hit and miss. Sometimes I waited 5 minutes, sometimes I waited nearly an hour.

This place is wonderful. We've never had to wait very long for or scheduled appointments and even if we are early, they will try and squeeze you in so your not waiting super long. The first ultrasound we had, the ultrasound tech didn't have great bed side manner. I don't know if she's new or was having a bad day or what. If not, then she was just kind of rude. Otherwise everything's been a great experience so far.

I am very impressed with this office. I switched to Legacy after having horrible experiences at a different OB/GYN clinic in the valley. The ladies at the front desk are always so nice and helpful. This is my first pregnancy and I've had a lot of questions regarding insurance etc. They have been very helpful. I am seeing Dr. Thomas and I have been super impressed with him as well. Dr. Thomas was patient and kind as we asked him all our new parent questions. He is passionate about helping people, which really shows in his work. He goes the extra mile to make sure you feel heard and that you come up with a plan together so that everyone is comfortable with treatment and an approach to delivery. He is very smart and knowledgeable. He calmly handled any complications that came up during delivery so we didn’t feel stressed and could enjoy the special moment of seeing our child for the first time. I highly recommend Dr. Thomas over anyone else in Utah county!

Don't go here! Over a year ago I went here to discuss birth control options. The PA advised me to get a copper IUD, so I did. The PA performed the insertion and she did a HORRIBLE job. They were fishing around for 45 min and eventually had me switch rooms so she could use the ultra sound at the same time! The clamp fell out onto the ground, she couldn't measure right, and then had a hard time placing it. Even the ultra sound technician was frustrated. Anyone who has had an IUD placed will tell you it is a horrible experience, but 45 min of the placement is totally unnecessary. I knew the procedure was going to be painful, but immediately afterwards the PA had me walk back to my car because they needed the ultra sound room, at which point I almost passed out when I got up. The reason this review is a year and a half late is because I finally had enough of that IUD and had it switched. My new doctor did the procedure in 5 minutes with no problems or complications. I explained what had happened last time and she was very concerned that an inexperienced PA was performing these placements, as they can do some serious damage if performed incorrectly. I am very mad at myself for listening to that PA and being ok with how that procedure went in the past, but I didn't know any better. I hope that PA has not done damage to any other women.

Do not go here if you are pregnant! Went here to get my IUD removed which was actually a great experience! The nurse was knowledgeable and kind so when I got pregnant 3 months later I called the clinic and got scheduled for my first appointment. I had been having back pain (worrying as this was the labor pain I felt with my first child) and was spotting. I expressed my concerns and the veteran nurse told me it wasn’t worth checking out. I told her that I didn’t feel comfortable with that and still wanted to have the baby checked out. She said, “At 8 weeks it would be impossible to locate the fetus through ultrasound, much less a Doppler.” After that I knew I had to switch immediately. For a nurse to exibit absolutely no knowledge on the subject of ultrasounds (having had an ultrasound at 7 weeks with my first) was shocking and disappointing. And the lack of obvious care about what were signs of a miscarriage was also extremely disappointing. DO NOT GO HERE!

I had the best experience with Dr. Jones and Dr. Thomas. Dr Jones was the doctor who saw me during my prenatal visits. He was always kind, attentive, and answered my questions. When it came time to deliver my baby, Dr Thomas was there and when my water broke, I had a prolapsed cord. He was able to fix the situation calmly and swiftly and stuffed the cord back up. His quick actions saved me from having an emergency c-section. He said that fixing a prolapsed cord rarely happens. I’m grateful that I had these two competent doctors attend to me!

Doctors were great but the rest of the staff, especially billing and the front desk people, were so difficult to work with. My wife was so upset because they didn't even congratulate her on her first pregnancy they just hounded us about insurance and if I was abusive or not. Word to the wise doctors....if I was abusive do you think she'd answer you while sitting in front of me? This needs to be a huge consideration for patients that you really do think are being abused. Maybe you didn't actually think I was abusive and that's why you asked us both but after 5 minutes of being grilled about it you would wonder. Make the experience fun for parents! You unfortunately ruined our first experience and we can't get that back. Next time we will only go to Valley Women's. They are much more friendly and professional.

Great experiences both times! Minimal wait time at each appointment and down to earth doctors that ease your worries/anxieties and have good bed side manners. I have never felt rushed through my appointments. Although I have never had any big concerns they will always ask if I have questions or concerns for them and they will gladly sit and talk about it. Would highly recommend them to anyone in Utah County needing quality care.

I was nervous and they were extremely kind and comforting. They also did their best to maximize my visit so they could get me the best billing/insurance situation possible. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Thomas and his office. We had a pretty uneventful pregnancy, but even still he was always willing to answer any little question we had. The nurses were always quick to get back to me when I called in with a concern. When it came time to deliver, Dr. Thomas was so calm and patient with us as it became more apparent that we would need to do an unplanned c-section. I so appreciate the empathy he had as I dealt with the emotions of such a big change in plans! Professional, knowledgeable, and incredible bedside manner. I will likely go to him next pregnancy, even though we don’t live very close to their office.

If you are pregnant and considering Legacy, please read. I do not want this to happen to you. I called Legacy and asked to speak to a nurse because my wife was miscarrying and was bleeding and having severe pain, causing her to throw-up. This was our first pregnancy (we had been trying for over 3 years), so we had no idea what to do apart from “googling it” – and everything we read on Google told us to call our doctor. HOWEVER, when I desperately asked to speak to a nurse for help, the receptionist said no. Even though we had chosen Legacy to be our provider, we had 3 scheduled appointments, and I had told the receptionist our unfortunate situation, she still insisted that it was Legacy’s policy that we could not speak to a nurse until my wife had been “assessed” by Legacy during a visit. She said that to speak to a nurse we had to wait until our scheduled appointment. Like most clinics, Legacy did not schedule us for an appointment until weeks 8-10 – my wife was just over 6 weeks – but we were so excited about the pregnancy that we would have gladly gone in for a visit the day we found out. So, because of the 8-10 week first visit standard, it was not possible for us to have gone in prior to the miscarriage… Yet, I was denied talking to a nurse about the miscarriage because, at that point, we had not gone in for a visit – see the problem? So, for the unfortunate women who have chosen Legacy and suffer a miscarriage before your 8-10 week appointment – which is, sadly, a higher statistic than I had previously realized – YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN … Don’t expect to get any assistance from the nurses at Legacy because the receptionists, as the communication gatekeeper, very easily can prevent you from getting your needed medical help. I highly recommend seeking a different clinic for your pregnancy. That recommendation is based on our experience that shows one of two major problems with Legacy: ONE, either Legacy has a policy that makes expecting mothers wait until 8-10 weeks before coming in but then leaves them without any nurse help prior to that point; OR, TWO, Legacy provides substandard training to its receptionist staff regarding its policy and how to help women needing medical assistance – which is very important since a receptionist has complete control on whether you can talk to a nurse or doctor. Whichever problem Legacy has, it is bad for expecting mothers. Legacy made our already horrible experience even worse. I write this to prevent any others from having the same, or similar, experience.

We recently moved to Utah from N.C. When I thought about having to go to a new OBGYN for my 3rd baby, I was super apprehensive. I was referred to Dr. Thomas by a friend so I decided to give him a try. He has made my pregnancy and stress of my pregnancy so much better. It’s so nice to know your doctor on a personal level ( so that you don’t feel like just a number). I would recommend Dr. Thomas over and over!

Dr. Thomas is awesome! Throughout the pregnancy he was involved and followed up on things we had discussed prior. With this being my first pregnancy I had a lot of questions and some scares along the way. He was patient and answered any questions or concerns we had. I will admit i had been pretty frustrated with the wait times. It is very common for your appointment to start 30-45 minutes late. Sometimes longer. I come from a small town and am not used to having my appointments behind like this so I wasn't sure I wanted to stick with this office for the future. After Delivery with Dr . Thomas and the care provided it was worth it! He coached me through the pushing process and we only pushed for an hour and a half! He was quick to get the baby out and quick about getting me checked over and taken care of as well. I really appreciate the time and care he puts into his patients.

I found Dr. Jones rude when I asked him to explain my daughters diagnosis and to discuss the side effects she has. He could not elaborate on his diagnosis and why it contradicted the test results. He seemed out of his debt and lacking in medical expertise. Does this guy even have a medical license?

I scheduled an appointment wit Dr. Thomas, they confirmed that Dr. Thomas was going to see me. However when I got there, they had a nurse see me ( I loved her. She was amazing) nevertheless, my appointment was with the doctor. When I asked at the front desk why the doctor was not at my appointment, their answer was "The doctor only sees patients scheduled for surgery." Of course my appointment will be charged as if the doctor saw me.

Dr. Jones is awesome! With my first pregnancy I had a female doctor (had to have a male doctor deliver my son though. He was awesome, but live too far from his office to go see him.), but with this pregnancy the most OBGYN doctors that I could find close by that I actually wanted to consider seeing were male doctors...don’t ask me why, but I have always preferred female doctors especially when it comes to being privately exposed. Needless to say I was extremely nervous, but I went in and he was really good about not making it super awkward or uncomfortable for me. I look forward to continuing to work with him as this pregnancy continues. I will however give a 4 star review for the office staff, because I feel like most of them are rude when you’re just asking simple questions.
