My husband and I met Dr. Simmons for the first time yesterday and he really seems like a nice guy. This is my first pregnancy, and Dr. Simmons answered all the questions and concerns that we had, plus, he was very personal with us and it didn’t feel like he was strictly dealing with us just for the sake of his business. We look forward to this journey with Dr. Simmons and staff.

Dr. Charis is great but, her staff is the reason I’m giving this review two stars. I originally had a gynecologist in Alabama and I moved to GA. There is a total difference in professionalism between the two practices. Prestige has been terrible with contacting me and following up on my calls. I called them for my results after my first visit. The lady I spoke to went through my records and found out my results had been in. (My last doctor office would call ME immediately when results were in. Not me having yo reach out to them wondering why I hadn’t heard from them.) She told me she could not go over them and someone would call back later that evening. They never did. I had to call back again. Then an entire month after my first visit they put in a prescription for me. I had already went to another doctor to get it since they had such a hard time contacting me. Getting my BC refill is also a hassle. I’ve never experienced this. This made me so grateful for my pass gynecologist in Alabama. I wish I could go back.

i have truly enjoyed visiting Dr. Simmons' medical practice. I will say, initially I would have never scheduled an OBGYN appt. with a man, and was only seen by him because of a fluke ( the midwife had called out sick during one of our scheduled appts.) To my surprise Dr. Simmons made me feel very comfortable, was professional, and most importantly knowledgable. He was also able to make my partner feel at ease as well, who came to the appt. with me that day. When I have medical concerns, he listens, and I feel he addresses them appropriately. This is big for me, because my main concern with medical professionals are their inability to really hear their patients, and provide well thought out answer to their questions. We did not have this problem. While this is my first child, I do plan on having another, and will be returning to Dr. Simmons' and his wife practice for our medical care . For the cons, wait times can be long, especially if your appt. is not the earliest available.I've also needed to call the office for medical recommendation/ advice and it can be pretty hard to get in contact with the nurse. I will get through, but only after calling several times through out the day. All in all, they are solid medical practice, providing good care. I do recommend them.

The waiting time is a little long so if your appointment is at a certain time don't expect to be seen at that specific time but the staff however is really nice and helpful and the doctors are very friendly and informative

Had my first OB visit yesterday with Dr. Lorenza Simmons. It went well. He talked me about of my nervousness and explained everything to me. Found out we were both country kids. Made me feel comfortable through the whole process. He answered the questions I had since it's my first pregnancy. Everyone in the office was quick and efficient. Definitely chose the right OB.

Dr Simmons is great however his practice off of camp creek is very unprofessional. I have been seeing Dr Simmons since i was a teenager, he delivered my one and only child and I just have history with the practice. it wasn't until i recently when i made an appointment in April for the 3rd week in may; (which means i had been waiting for a month for my appointment) that they call on a Friday for my Monday appointment to tell me that they have to cancel due to not accepting my insurance. Not to mention that when the appointment was made and I gave them my new ins information i asked if it was accepted and was told yes. When confronting the staff Ms. Jacqueline his (new front office personnel) she proceeded to say how she is the only one that verifies and its not her fault of the time frame in which they contacted me to cancel my appointment. She continued to go back and forth as well. Her attitude on a scale of 1-10 was a 2 . I will be taking further measures on her behavior, because I Have been nothing but patient and loyal with this office, to have someone who hasn't even been there maybe 3 years talk as if my business there never mattered.

My experience with this physician's office was absolutely horrible, and I will never visit again, nor would I recommend to a friend--or an enemy, for that matter. Every single part of the experience was less than professional. The receptionist was graciously rude--you know, fake smile and overly sweet tone of voice with obvious disdain for the patients and the job, itself. I received the same treatment over the phone, during my appointment, and two weeks later for my follow-up. I was not called back into the exam room until a good hour or so after my appointment slot, and once there, it took another 30-45 mins to see Dr. Simmons. I went in for a routine pap exam and was asked to sign a consent form for drug testing. When asked why, the nurse said it was typical practice for pregnant women. I quickly informed her that I was not pregnant, never had been, and was not actively trying to be, and I felt that a drug test was inappropriate and unnecessary for a regular well woman's visit. She got visibly agitated by my response. I declined the test, did not sign the consent form, and even kept the form after the conversation. Things got progressively worse, as the nurse did all her "charting" on a random scrap of paper because the exam room lacked a computer to directly input my information into the electronic medical record software. I was bothered by this due to the high patient volume...random pieces of paper leave a lot of room for charting errors (more on this later). Dr. Simmons was okay, and when I say "okay", I literally mean just okay. Something about his conversation rubbed me the wrong way, but I can't pinpoint why. After the exam, the nurse came back asking AGAIN about the drug test, and after I declined a second time, I left. 4 months after my appointment, I received a huge bill totaling ~$500 from the office, and called to inquire because a) I'm in-network with the provider b) I was billed for the FREAKING DRUG TEST that I never took. Oh, and not to mention the fact that according to the bill, I came in and had all these things done in January, when my visit was over a month prior. I believe all of this is due to horrible charting practices aka writing information on scraps of paper. It took multiple phone calls to speak with someone, and I was told that it would take "a few days" to get more information from the 3rd party billing company. Multiple phone calls, voice mails, and 2 months passed before I got any tangible information. Supposedly, everything was fixed, but lo and behold, I got another bill in September. This bill was considerably less, only $20 this time, but what was it for? The drug test I never took! So here we are, 10 months after my original appointment, and I'm still going back and forth with this office about billing, getting nowhere. AVOID "PRESTIGE HEALTHCARE OF ATLANTA" because there is not a drop of prestige going on at this unprofessional entity called a doctor's office.

Pregnant mothers BEWARE this is Not a good doctor office at all. You should also keep tabs of your insurance because they are shady about that I.e. hidden fees and extra cost. If I could rate no stars I would. As much money they scamming from people you would think they could afford updated equipment and pay their workers more to fix them crazy looking drawed on eyebrows but hey just my opinion. Do yourself and your baby a favor and go elsewhere

By far the worst OB-GYN Ever. I know people usually write reviews when they are upset but the lack of professionalism in this office is ridiculous. I came in today for my second apportionment and it's like they had no clue what I was in for. They start asking me questions and doing the produces they were doing the first time. I had to ask if I was getting a ultrasound which was why they scheduled my appointment in the first place!!!! They said they hadn't even scheduled it and I had to go across the street. Then they just left. I had to walk out and ask if they were even going to tell me my test results from 2 weeks ago. She was like "oh hey, we can do that today", That was why I came in and payed a co-pay for. Then after I get my results, my doctor ( which I later than found out I hadn't even seen a doctor the first two times, it was a physician assistant) explain she prescribed me a subscription on July 11th for a serious pain I have been having. So today is the 18th and I never received a phone call or anything regarding the medication. I could have taken that two weeks ago and cleared up a few things. The rude nurse proceeds to tell me I know we for sure called you and then says "oh well we were closed for flood". so you didn't bother to make a note and call me the next day?? I mean that's what a normal office would do. It's like they didn't care. I was soo upset because they didn't even bother to care for my health especially since I was in a lot of pain. Please do not bother to go here, long waits, very expensive and they are just there. They didn't even bother to tell me that I didn't even see a doctor. Then when I argued anything, they were looking at me like I was crazy and proceed to give me an attitude. I cancelled my further appointment's and will find a new doctor. They have no lack of respect for there patients.

I love the staff!! These people are so friendly and fast. I just recently moved to Atlanta so I needed a local doctor to fill my prescriptions, And I love my new doctor Mrs. Simmons!!.. But most of all the receptionist Ms. Jackeline. She's the real MVP, From the moment I called and told her I needed a appointment to refill my medications. It was 15 minutes until they closed and she had my medical records consent emailed to me, And my signed copy to my former primary all in time to have a appointment for in the morning!!! That was so awesome dot com lol, I must say this place is bomb they will have you in and out. I definitely would recommend this place to ANYONE =)

I absolutely use to hate going to this place. I’m 6 mos without a obgyn NOW because the last appointment I had, I waited in the lobby for 2 HOURS. Waiting to speak with their office manager. Who never showed. ALL BECAUSE I COULDNT AFFORD TO PAY $732.00 monthly before delivery UP FRONT. I offered to pay something weekly and was told they aren’t taking that small amount. Felt like I was being held in a holding cell. I couldn’t believe I was denied service. They made me feel terrible being that I was looking forward to this appointment to know what my lab results were from my previous visit. It’s sad because I’m a patient that has a primary and secondary insurance and THEY STILL WANTED ME TO PAY THIS RIDICULOUS AMOUNT. I WAS MORE HIGHLY UPSET BECAUSE I MADE A 45 minute drive just to not be seen when I could’ve been called and spoken to over the phone. WORST CLINIC EVER

Dr Simmons spent time getting to know my partner and me before jumping into the protocols. He answered all of our questions and was responsive to our requests. Like most OBs he suggested a cesarean as our first option for delivery but once we made it clear that we had no desire for that if the pregnancy went as planned he assured us he would do everything he could to deliver our twins vaginally. That meant everything to us.

Rude Receptionist. And there is no doctor just a midwife that read my test results incorrectly and told me that I had Hepatitis A when it was just the antibodies from the vaccination i had years ago. I would never recommend this office to any one, they are just money hungry scammers.
