My experience at Marietta OB-GYN Affiliates was good. The office staff is pleasant and personable. They are willingly to be flexible if you run a bit behind for your appointment which is nice. More important though was the experience I had with Dr. Sims. Dr. Sims was like a breath a fresh air. She is soft spoken and has a comforting bedside manner. She was thorough while going over my medical history. She exhibited quality patient care by actively listening to my concerns and addressing each one. Dr. Sims was patient never once rushing my explanations or the totality of the visit. The only drawback for me with the entire appointment is the wait time moving from the waiting area to the back clinic for the appointment. It is a bit of a long wait...seemingly overbooked. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend this practice for expectant mothers and women seeking gynecological care.

I understand that people may come in late or special appointments are made which then will cause over booking, However the wait time once you are checked in and in the room waiting to see your doctor can be better. Dr. Alarcon is the best! I have been his patient for a while now, and I was so happy when I moved back to Georgia from Florida and he could be my doctor again. I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else monitoring my pregnancy! All the doctors in the practice are excellent (you have to see all physicians when you are pregnant) with great bedside manner. Hillary the financial planner is also fantastic with advising you on the best ways to pay for your treatment. Everyone there makes you feel appreciated and listened to!!

I adore Dr Alarcon, very personable, listens and does not rush through your appointment. I do have an issue with acctg. It has been established what my insurance covers for a procedure that I have every 3-4 months; yet each time I go they require me to pay the full amount. Then weeks later they give me a credit after insurance pays the Same Exact portion. Why hold my money if you know what My Insurance Will Pay. I understood the first time; but now it does not make sense. Office staff is very friendly.

I hope someone from the doctor office reads this. My wife loves the doctors and the care, but the billing practices of this clinic are unethical. For all future patients be aware they will make you pay 100% of your out of pocket cost month before the baby is delivered. There are fundamental problems with this practice they are collecting total amounts before the service are fully rendered. This goes against standard accounting practices. They don’t tell you this until you’re about halfway through your pregnancy. I offered to pay clinics as the services are performed, but the account coordinator does not care. They want to be fully paid before they do the work, this never works in any other business why are they allowed to do it? I’ve checked with our medical insurance company and they told us this practice is not the standard. It’s something this clinic has decided to do. I have excellent credit and I always pay my medical bills, I just find this practice unethical. I’m stuck with this clinic because my wife is half way through her pregnancy and she doesn’t want to change doctors in the middle. I have no other option than to pay what they are asking. For all future patients please read my post before going to this clinic, and ask them about this unethical policy before it is too late and you are stuck like us. (If any accountants or lawyers are reading this post I would love to hear your opinion about this method of billing)

This place is not about Health care. its about money they started Global billing, you have to pay your delivery fee before you deliver your baby. they will dismissed you as a patient if you have any balance. The drs are nice, but whoever in charge management sucks. how You going to dismissed a 34 week pregnant person because a $500 balance for a procedure thats not even perform yet? But you already collected $1000

Our experience here was just terrible. I would avoid this practice at all costs. The front office staff is lazy and really not friendly. The Nurses are awesome. My wife came here to see one doctor who was cool at first. We got pregnant and unfortunately experienced a miscarriage. The doctors recommendation was some pill that mimics contraction to help the process. BIG mistake. My wife was in excruciating pain for days when she was told it would be 4 hours at the most. She went to the ER because it got so bad. During this time it was virtually impossible to reach the doctor, we reached her nurse. During this time we were self pay and were getting a sonogram every week. While we are in the midst of dealing with the miscarriage, we had the displeasure of dealing with the office manager to make payment arrangements on our bill. This lady was no lady at all. She was more concerned with money rather than first showing some empathy for a grieving patient. On our last visit we now have insurance and were hit with a large unexpected co-pay. We had to deal with this same so called office administrator who with a sarcastic smirk on her face said well since you cant pay today you will have to reschedule. Although she said she was not willing to set up a reasonable payment plan she handed us a form for a payment plan agreement. She was the kist unprofessional person I have ever dealt with in a medical office. All I can do is pray for her miserable soul, if she even has one. I would not recommend this practice to dog.

I just had my first appointment with Marietta OB-GYN Affiliates, at nearly 37 weeks pregnant, having transferred from another OB practice. I could not speak more highly of the service I received. Dr Elizabeth Taghechian’s nurse, Patty, gave me the most warm and professional welcome and she was clear and concise with the instructions that I needed. She made me feel completely at ease, after arriving 5 minutes late (due to not anticipating the time required to park and the 2 sets of elevators to get to the office), and after completing all the necessary paper work to catch up on the administrative process. The wait time was no more than 10mins, which is amazing given how many patients were coming and going. Dr Taghechian.... (well, at this point I must disclose that I am a Registered Nurse and have 9 years of experience, and I have had two previous pregnancies and therefore have experienced countless OB apts and have had 2 hospital admissions with labor and delivery.) Yet, I have never witnessed such warmth and kindness, along with impeccable efficiency, from a Doctor in all my years of experience. Dr Taghechian gave me all the most pertinent information that I needed to know at this stage with nearing the birth and delivery of my baby. I came in with several questions and before I had a chance to ask them, she had answered them all, and more. I was naturally a little apprehensive at changing practices so late in my pregnancy, but the care that I received today, gives me every confidence that I am in the best hands. Oh, and the cherry on top, was that there was NO WAIT to see the lab tech! The doctor walked me straight into the lab room, and Vanessa (the lab tech) drew my blood and had me checking out in less than 3mins. Amazing! I didn’t believe this level of efficiency and timely delivery of health care existed in the clinic setting, until today. 5 star service all round. If I could give 10 stars, I would! My nerves have been eased and I feel very good about trusting the delivery of my baby and my obstetric care during the remaining weeks of this pregnancy in to the expertise and care of the doctors with Marietta OB-GYN Affiliates.

Dr. Kline is great and I'm thankful for her; however, the parking garage is awful. I will travel farther next time to see Dr. Kline at the West Cobb facility so I don't ever have to use your parking garage again. It took almost 20 minutes to find a space! I followed behind at least 4 cars all looking for a spot and it took way too long. The parking garage is a nightmare.

This review is not for the doctor who we never saw because we just ended up leaving this is for the nurse. I felt totally disrespected by the nurse and I know that I am not being sensitive because even my daughter who was the one being seen said she shouldn't have said what she did. I have every right as a parent of a 17 year old to make sure my daughter is being safe in her decision on the type of birth control that she uses. I should not have to be told by a nurse that it is my daughter's choice it's her body. Totally disrespectful!!! It's unfortunate that she's representing this very nice doctor. Also all the doctors and the nurses that I've ever dealt with at Marietta OB have always been a pleasure to work with but one bad apple can spoil the bunch. Oh, and just so you know I just wanted to ask the doctor about this procedure make sure it was safe you don't need to give me a lecture you are not a certified doctor and then I probably would have went ahead and let her do it. But now I'm going to have to decide if this practice is where our family (3) should actually be going.

I have been going to this office for about 15 years. Since my doctor retired, I saw someone new today, Amy, and she was wonderful!! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I wasn't seen until about 45 minutes past my appointment time.

The leaders of this facility do a great job organizationally, and in keeping up with the needs of their clients. I have worked with several of the doctors and nurse practitioners throughout my visits over this year and have come to appreciate the knowledge they share and love each of them, especially Montcalm and Klein! Dena is absolutely wonderful, knowledgeable, and seriously overqualified as well and I have loved doing my ultrasounds with her. A nurse who’s name I didn’t get, unexpectedly went out of her way to squeeze me into the ultrasound room when I needed to know information quickly at one of my appointments. This is my first pregnancy and I’ve felt nothing but comfort and respect for all of my needs thus far. They are always very open to questions and will devote their full attention to the time they have with you. So thankful to have such good communication and security as I’m going through this process and will continue going here following my pregnancy.

The best doctor I have ever seen,OB or otherwise (and I have seen many). I see Lindsay (she is an LPN) and have actually never seen one of the other providers, but she is excellent. Always has the time to talk with me, and even though my appointment today was only supposed to be 20min, she spent about 30-40 discussing BC options, mental health concerns, preventative meds, and even addressed my hyposexuality, which has been something I've in general been very uncomfortable with bringing up. They are AMAZING.

I normally see Dr. Taghecian- she is amazing. She is very hands-on and treats you as if you’re a family. My only complaint would be that sometimes the wait is a little bit longer than expected due to the fact that they also deliver babies. Also, the LabCorp area is not overly clean. Other than that- great experience with the office and Dr. Taghecian.
