Tried to set an appointment and the lady on the phone hung up on my face. I gave her the benifet of the doubt and tried calling again thinking the line was cut, but they never answered. If you are in need of medical help do not go here.

Dr. Vanalstine is the best. I went many years with out a practitioner during my early adult life. All my family members who live in this areas go to Dr. Van and spoke very highly of him. I was getting older, started a family of my own, I began to realize it was time to take my health seriously if I wanted to be around for them in the future. This guy is so down-to-earth, he listens, even takes time to have small person conversations in order to really get to know you. His personality has him running a little behind, but I do not mind waiting because I know he will show the same dedication to my problems as well. I consider him a friend, confidant and does not intimidate me, allowing me to tell him the truth, knowing he will help my remedy my issues, and does not just "prescribe drugs". He truly cares for his clients

Dr. Vanalstine is the best. I went many years with out a practitioner during my early adult life. All my family members who live in this areas go to Dr. Van and spoke very highly of him. Dr. Harrover is probably the worst doctor I've had. I was with another doctor who was great, but he retired and I was sent to Harrover. He always rushes through the visit and forgets to tell me things I need to know. It is very difficult to reach the office. No one knows what they're doing. I talked to a lady regarding my medicine, and she said she sent it to my pharmacy and I had three refills, I called my pharmacy, they never heard anything from the doctor. Switching doctors ASAP.

Been seeing Dr. Conkright and the staff for a few years now and I have no doubt I'm in the best of hands. My health is much better off for it. I'm grateful for this practice.

They could honestly care less about the patients I see. I’ve been waiting for two weeks for them to send over my prescriptions and they’ve yet to do it. They also told me I would be getting calls from the specialists they referred me to and of course those referrals were never sent in and I’ve yet to receive a call. And whenever you call to see what’s going on and what’s taking so long the receptionist is annoyed and has an attitude. I’ll go else where.

Doctor Van Alstine is the best primary physician I've ever had. He's personable, helpful and thorough. His nurse, Kim, is also amazing. They both have fun, happy countenances that make a visit all the better. Additionally, the front office staff is awesome - they always greet you with a smile and are helpful with regards to billing, prescriptions, etc.

Dr. Van Alstine is an excellent primary physician. He is very attentive & always has his nurse return my calls. I usually get my medications filled in the same day. Dr. Alstine's bedside manner is caring & attentive.

August 6, 2018 Update: It seems that there is quite a bit of confusion over the change from previous administration to Augusta University Health after their acquisition of the practice. Unfortunately I have experienced many times in the past problems with having my prescription filled on time or at all. I'm not sure what the problem is but it has been frequent over the last few years. It is very annoying very frustrating and requires a lot of needless back and forth phone calls emails Etc. I will revise this review again if things change for the better. I have also considered leaving their practice and finding another Practitioner. _ Dr. Van Alstine is one of the finest medical doctors I have ever seen. He is thorough, energetic and knows his stuff. The portal system maintained by FMA is like nothing I have ever seen or used during the recent past. It is an excellent, comprehensive and easy-to-use repository of all of my medical information. I'm sure IT meets all federal privacy requirements under HIPPA rules. I always look forward to seeing Dr. Van Alstine and never have to wait more than 10-15 minutes after arriving at the office. I cannot tell you how many times I have waited for doctors to see me after arriving on time. Years ago I decided upon a personal policy of leaving after 90 minutes of waiting and unfortunately had to do so when seeing doctors IN THE PAST. Refreshingly, this has NEVER happened at FMA.

Went to see dr bramwell and he never even came in the room. I was seen by a student. They were supposed to call in my prescription and the pharmacy still hasn't recieved it

I am highly disappointed at the service I just received on 2/6/18. First, I called for an appointment a week prior and told the scheduling individual I needed the lastest appt and she had 3:30, that’s what I accepted. I left my job to come to my appointment in which I arrived at 3:40pm. There was a line when I entered and waited at least 5 mins. I get to the window and the lady tell me my appointment was at 3:15pm I told her no it was 3:30 and it was 3:30 for a reason. She say’s either way there’s a 15min grace period and I said well I was within that time but waited in line while she and the other rep were helping others. She went to talk to someone and returned to say I had to reschedule. What kind of dr’s office does that to their patients! Who has all the time in the world to take off work to go to the doctors office. Where is the care and concern for all patients! I’ve never heard or witnessed this kind of unprofessionalism in my life. I can see if this is a hair solan and I showed up late but this is my health. I wasn’t an hour late, I was 10 mins late. I travel almost an hour from my job just to be seen and get my blood pressure medicine. Now I’m going to have to go longer without my medicine. Whomever does the scheduling needs to get things right. Now, I will prayerfully find another doctor that will be more sensitive to their patients and their health.

Update: Got a call back from the office manager. It makes me happy to hear from their office so that they can better understand customer experience issues. I look forward to the improved experience! The appointments always went fairly well, however if you take any medication that required ongoing refills you will run into problems. You will consistently have issues getting those refills called in as 1/3 the time the refill line is closed. The other 1/3 of the time it’ll never get “put into the system.” A 1/6 of the time it’ll get called in but you bug the heck out of the pharmacist by calling to see if it was filled only to find out it “might” have been called in. The other 1/6 of the time you’ll shout for joy because the moon and the stars align and you magically get your refill in a timely manner.

This place used to be amazing. You could come in for less than $100 for a regular doctor's visit no insurance.. No more. Now it's ~$154 just for the visit. They do not tell you this ahead of time, so I was blindsided by the upcharges. The staff has changed ... Most of the familiar faces are gone. I also received a shot that was supposed to be no more than $50 (I asked), but received a bill for $190.00?? No-one in office can answer my questions. I won't be back. This place is ruined.
