I have been seeing dr. Biggs for over 10 years. You do have to book apts far in advance but each visit I get in and out quickly but still feel like dr. Biggs has taken time to answer all my questions or address concerns.

I too have had some issues with the staff at AWOG, as mentioned in other reviews. There are some very helpful front staffers too though. Most of the doctors are very good if not excellent. Dr. Hood is quite nice and takes the time to make sure patients understand, especially if you have a condition like I do. Dr. Rybka is also wonderful. She was a nurse who became a doctor, so you kind of get the best of both worlds. She handled my painful pregnancy, surprise c-section, and some postpartum issues very well. I really appreciate her. Oh, and Dr. Biggs is very down to earth and easy to talk to also... I'm actually due an appt. soon and would have a baby with this group again.

The staff is amazing! Dr. Williams has no bedside manner. She didn't really care for anything that I had to say. I explained to her how I'm having trouble finding a surgeon for my condition because they are all writing me off. Her response was "it seems as if you have a lot of bad history with doctors" I wanted to cry after she said that. I do not have a bad history; the doctors WRITE ME OFF BEFORE I EVEN STEP FROOT IN THEIR OFFICE. Dr. Williams is only there for her check and not the patients. I really dislike her and think it is time for her to retire or quit. I wouldn't let her work on a pregnant gold fish! On a positive note the rest of the staff is wonderful. I was able to switch doctors as well.

I really like my doctor, but this office is run so poorly. No respect for their patients time. I have had two appointments here, both times I saw the doctor nearly an hour after my appt time. And both times it was because of office staff. It took the staff a full hour to ' check me in' today. I was quite early, so I have now been sitting here for an hour and 15 minutes, but only 'checked in' 15 minutes ago. Appt time was 30 minutes ago- this office manager either needs to be enlightened, trained or fired.

After being contacted regarding my concerns with the clinic, I've decided to update my original review and rating from 2 stars to 4 stars. If anything, this is a very diligent, hard-working clinic. They keep in touch with patients and inform you of results with great efficiency. If they can implement the changes they promised then it would be an excellent option for those looking for a new obgyn. Upon expressing my misgivings with their staff about their insistence that I follow through with a procedure, I was finally connected with my doctor, who was far more attentive to my rights as a patient. My doctor was patient and put my comfort first in working out an alternate plan to the original procedure. They also called later regarding my review and said they would hold a meeting to make sure all staff personnel are brought up to speed on basic patient rights. Sadly I will still be looking elsewhere, but hope the clinic continues to be dedicated and implements a system that keeps all future MAs better informed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ORIGINAL REVIEW: For those of you that felt forced to accept a procedure or contraceptive method, reference the Schloendorff vs Society of NY Hospital ruling. The practice is efficient and the doctors knowledgeable in their respective fields... but they seem completely oblivious to the legal rights of patients. They are competent, but that competence leads them to strongly push patients into decisions the patient might feel uncomfortable with. All patients legally have the right to make the final say on what happens to their bodies. This is med school 101. If any of the doctors push you to do a procedure or contraception, you can sue and reference the court decision from the Schloendorff vs Society of NY Hospital case. When I was reluctant to get a third procedure and wanted to discuss an alternative I was very disdainfully shut down and told I have no option other than go along with the procedure or find somewhere else. I was amazed at the blatant disregard of my legal right. I will be looking elsewhere, despite their diligence and competency, because respect of my patient rights is just as crucial in the healthcare provider I choose.

Dr. Rybka is a very compassionate and knowledgeable OB. When I left a message on the nurse’s line, Dr. Rybka’s nurse called me back within the hour, and was able to set me up with an appointment just a few days later. The staff is kind and worked efficiently. My time with Dr. Rybka didn’t feel rushed—she really took her time with me and made me feel valued. I definitely recommend her!

I recently moved to Atlanta and was looking for a good gynecologist. I am very happy I found this place. Everyone there is super friendly and they dont leave you waiting forever as in other places. Dr Siegel is my doctor and she is just awesome. I highly recommend this place!

sharon dickinson

Attentive, courteous, helpful, understanding, and professional, yet friendly, warm and a great 'bedside manner'...

Breana Wilson

Dr. Siegal is awesome! She knows her patients on a first name basis and really cares about them...has been my GYN for years!

LaShunda Cobb

Steer clear of Dr. Cyd Williams!!! I truly wish my experience as a first time mother would have been a more pleasant experience; however, Dr. Williams stole that joy and experience from me. She ignored my concerns, was rude, and condescending. Seek another physician within this practice group.

Krista Brockmeyer

I saw Dr. Alstead today, I’m so sorry but I’m sure I spelt that wrong. Anyways I had the best experience of my life! What a great staff and lucky I found a new place to go! I highly recommend! Thank u again for ur great service and making me feel so comfortable!!!!❤️

Dr Knoer is very patient and open to any questions i had. He was caring and very nice

Kimberly Maggette

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - 1st time I went, the DR. only wanted to talk bout putting me on birth control. I didn't want or need to be on birth control but she made it seem as though it would fix all of my issues with painful periods so I reluctantly agreed.... IT DIDN'T. It made things worse and I had constant infections so I returned a year later to have it removed. I saw a different doctor this time and when I told her why I wanted it removed, she got upset and said the she doesn't believe the birth control control could cause all of these problems and that it had to be something else... like what lady?? DON't GO HERE

The nurse practitioner I saw was wonderful, and quick to get me in an out. However, the location is terrible. This is at the Piedmont Hospital with parking decks with no maps! There are clusters of buildings and 275 doubles as the address and the building, which no one told me on the phone when I scheduled my appointment. I called to ask for directions 20 minutes before my appointment because I was sitting in the parking deck. I was on hold for 15 minutes before I hung up and went into a random building to ask for directions. They told me to go to the orange floor. So I got on the elevator, went to orange and then walked around and through this access hallway to the offices and I had to go to another set of elevators to the first floor. I finally arrived at suite 100, 3 minutes late to my appointment. I had filled out all the paperwork online, have it to them and then filled out another 3 pages worth when I got there. I waited for 45 minutes before I saw anyone. The staff was very quick after that but the front desk people are very slow with processing. Also make sure you bring $5 for parking they don't give credits for that. I won't be returning just because it was way too involved for an annual.

Definitely be prepared to wait, the whole process for meeting with the doctor and getting blood work took a little over two hours. On the other hand the doctor was very nice and understanding which was great, if you have PCOS this is the place to go! They don't only throw medication in your face but rather give you advice on lifestyle changes.

Danielle Strickland

Dr. Rybka bedside manner was great! My first pregnancy. She performed my c-section as well. I had to see all the doctors , but she stood out the most. I had chose to have most of my appointments with her. Never had to wait long to be seen. If I have another baby I would have her deliver them as well.

Deidre Gower-Winter

I have been going here for a couple years after my mother recommended it to me and have never had a bad experience. I have been seeing Dr. Hood for gyn then for OB this year. I love that this office is staffed with only women, which makes me more comfortable discussing womanly things related to my health. I had the opportunity to meet all the doctors before delivering my baby girl so I would be with a familiar face when I delivered. Dr. Biggs delivered my little girl via unplanned cesarean and she made me feel comfortable and confident. Also, I have the smallest incision! All staff is courteous and pleasant from the front desk, to the nurses and doctors. Only time I have had to wait for my appointment was when my Dr. was on call and had to deliver a baby. I highly recommend this practice.

Laura Hubbell

I have gone here for years. The folks here are amazing throughout the pregnancy process and are godsends if things don't go perfectly. I haven't had any issues at all with office staff or wait times and could easily recommend Dr. Biggs and the office.

Deanna Rivers

My experience at this doctors office was terrible.. the only nice people were the ladies at the front desk.. I switched my doctors office bc of a move and hated that I had to leave them.. the doctors and the nurse practitioner were rude and condescending... my first visit was a joy then every visit after that I felt uncomfortable..then also having to pay for parking every time you go was a little annoying after awhile especially thinking to myself at the end when you have to constantly go as a pregnant woman...it’s already enough stress being a pregnant mom and having to go to the doctors office so much and work full time .. and deal with life.. and these doctors made my experience of being pregnant again horrible.. the nurse practitioner even question and went back and forth in my decision of my contraception method.. I went to the doctor visit to discuss issues of pain.. and you can tell the doctors took me as a joke even the nurse practitioner.. I even asked the doctor in the exam room about my pain I was experiencing and she yelled at me telling me she won’t lie about my pain .. while the door was open and even the nurse across the room could hear.. I was horrified.. and I couldn’t believe she stoop to this level to think i would ask her that.all I wanted was someone to get to the bottom of we’re this pain came from.. . another doctor would talk to me like I was stupid.. they even argued with sedgewick about Sedgwick policies.. these woman are terrible and I felt stereotyped.. I have a good job and make good money and had my own medical insurance and my bill was even paid up.. I regret coming to this doctors office and investing my time and money here..I even refuse to settle up my bill here for the last awful visit...I quickly switched to Emory Healthcare.. were I felt loved and welcomed... and Emory made every experience being a pregnant mother again a joy... I would never recommend this doctors office to anyone.. pls!! Stay clear of this office.. it’s now two years later I’m reminded of my horrible experience bc one of my friends being pregnant I told her to absolutely stay clear of them as I will inform any other woman to do the same ..

Sarah Giarratana

There's something about this place — a practice run by women to serve women — that makes going in for an annual visit and discussing lady things way more comfortable. Each person I've interacted with is warm, appointments have always been run efficiently and the doctors take time to chat with me and discuss any questions. I've been going here for two years now, I'm always impressed and I will most-certainly be back. Parking is very complicated, read their directions carefully — but I'll happily pay $8 to park in a hospital deck if it means I can go to an office where I'm actually comfortable and all of my questions are answered. Definitely recommend.

Andrea Powers

Professional, polished, and personable is how I would describe the office and staff. I don't care where I move to, this will always be my doctor's office.

Abby Ivie

There aren’t enough words to use to describe how much I love Dr Siegel. She helped me through infertility, 2 miscarriages and 2 successful pregnancies. She’s amazing. She’s caring, she’s brilliant, and she’s rationale!!! Everyone I’ve ever seen in the office has been wonderful, but there will always be a special place in my heart for Dr. Siegel.

Rita Ortiz

I have been a patient of Dr. Siegel for over 11-years now. I have had the pleasure of being seen by Dr. Sternberg, Dr. Biggs, Dr. Hood, Dr. Cox, and Dr. Rybka (all are remarkable in their own right). Dr. Biggs delivered my first born and Dr. Hood delivered my second born child; I will always hold the both of them dear to my heart in how they cared for me during the deliveries of my children. As for my experience with the office staff and nurses, Splendid Service (with a personable touch). Reading these negative comments about the staff is shocking to me because I have only had great experiences here. The lady that wrote about the billing matter, it is [YOUR] responsibility as the insured member to verify coverage with your insurance provider prior to having services performed not the medical provider. It never ceases to amaze me how many become upset at a situation that could have been avoided merely by taking some proactive steps. As for the negative comments made about Dr. Williams, I agree 100% and was truly disappointed to read that her lack of professionalism continues, SMH! With my second pregnancy, I was in full throws of labor pains when I initiated a call (as instructed). Dr. Williams, was on call that early morning about 3:00am, when she told me I was not in labor. [????] When she hung up about 20-minutes later, I passed out as the labor pains were so intense. When I came to, I called in and Dr. Williams returned my call. I did not ask her this time I told her that I was coming in to the hospital because I was in labor and just passed out [syncope] and my husband and I were on our way. Wouldn't you know when we arrived at the hospital I was in so much pain, the nurses immediately begin to assist me and one said they would summons Dr. Williams. Well over an hour had passed and she NEVER came to check on me, SMH. Instead, the lovely Dr. Sternberg showed up and started working on me; but, later was reassigned to another patient resulting in Dr. Hood taking over. I later reported my experience to the office staff and they told me they had received other complaints about Dr. Williams. I told them that if I ever became pregnant again [under no circumstances] will I agree to be seen by Dr. Williams [WHATSOEVER]. Prior to my delivery, I must note that I was seen by Dr. Williams once and she seemed pleasant during that visit. She even shared a recommendation for an interest I had in permanent hair removal. So, during my labor her behavior was rather unexpected. As for the parking garage, I've been at this office for well over 11-years so I became accustomed to it as the various changes occurred; and it is doable. As one of the ladies recommended, [plan] to arrive early if it's your first visit. Blessings in the decision you make . . . keeping in mind that the medical treatment is impeccable!

Janet Ledet

Overall, I like this practice a lot. I have had several wonderful experiences with Dr. Biggs and Dr. Hood. They are thorough, compassionate, personable, and give you the time you need. I would strongly recommend them to anyone. The nurses are great too, especially Theresa. I've also liked the couple of interactions I have had with Dr. Sternberg and Dr. Cox. I've had both positive and negative experiences with Dr. Williams. Office staff is good. You do have to pay for parking and it can take awhile to park in their deck, but this is pretty standard for the area of town. It can be confusing to navigate the parking deck to the actual office building as a couple different elevators are required but after your first visit, you will have it figured out...just allow extra time for your first visit of you are unfamiliar with this doctors building.

Great Doctors and Office staff!

Katie Ray

Great practice, very satisfied with their care!

Jenny D.

I can’t say enough good things about the doctors here! I love them all - especially Dr. Cox and Dr. Siegel (but they are ALL wonderful). Dr. Siegel treats every matter seriously and aggressively which puts my worries at ease. She never lets a detail slide and was extremely proactive during my first pregnancy. Dr. Cox delivered my baby and was absolutely wonderful, calm and collected (although I was not!). I will certainly come here should baby #2 happen! Thanks to everyone at AWOG!

I have been a patient with this practice for nearly 10 years and love them. The front office staff is nice and courteous as well as the nurses. I did have a bad experience with Dr. Williams but I ended up seeing Dr. Biggs who not only preformed an emergency ectopic pregnancy surgery and saved my tubed but has also delivered both of my children. She and the other doctors are great. I have recommended them to several of my friends and co-workers and will continue to go back. Plus I love that it is an all woman staff. Book early if you are new patient.

Tanya Stokoe

I have been going to this practice since moving to Atlanta in 2014. They have seen me through 2 pregnancies under some extremely difficult personal circumstances. All the Doctors have treated me with the utmost sensitivity and care and all the nurses and admin staff are consistently a pleasure. Dr. Hood deserves a special mention as she has ensured my sanity all the way through both pregnancies. I love this practice and would not say that lightly, highly recommend.

I will come back and update this review as I only have a few weeks left of my pregnancy. Transferred to this practice late in my first trimester and specifically asked to be seen by Dr. Williams (she had good reviews on another site). To my chagrin she was not the best doctor to see here. She bombarded me with close-ended questions my first visit that I did not answer in her preferred style of answering so she repeatedly asked them again. I felt very small and belittled like a child. I was on the verge of tears before she decided to ease up a bit. My husband was there and witnessed this. I figured maybe my hormones were getting the best of me and decided to try her again for my next visit. Next visit she completely ignored my concerns regarding a recurring infection I was struggling with. She was very dismissive and condescending. She spoke to me like I was a child not much unlike my first visit. I ended up having to see a doctor outside the practice to be treated for the infection. I couldn't imagine allowing this woman to deliver my child. I made sure to inform the front office every time I was scheduled to not be seen by HER. I've seen every other doctor at this practice with NO ISSUES whatsoever. The other practitioners have a much better bedside manner than Dr. Williams. I'm surprised she's still employed after the numerous complaints. Smh. I have been rotating mostly between Dr. Sternberg & Dr. Hood thus far and I have no complaints. Dr. Sternberg is very sweet and bubbly. She has superb bedside manner. Her energy is contagious. I'm indifferent about Dr. Hood. Dr. Spiegel was very abrupt and rushed with me on first impression. Perhaps it was just that day. Dr. Rybka and Dr. Cox are also very sweet. I have yet to meet Dr. Biggs. Overall I like this practice. They need to rid themselves of the bad apple they have however.

Nikki S.M.

I was very disappointed with my experience with Dr. Williams in suite 200. When I initially called I told the office the exact reason for the visit and also when I arrived, but when the Dr. came in to see me she misunderstood the reason for my visit which was not my fault. after her routine I explained to the Dr. what I really was there for and she got upset with ME and started being rude condensending and made me feel very uncomfortable. she blamed me for not mentioning it before and seemed in a rush to leave. I felt very insulted. I would never recommend this gynocologist to anyone. the office staff however was very nice and professional.

Lindsay Williams

I've had a wonderful experience with this practice over the past 5 years. They were very supportive through my pregnancy and post partum care. Dr. Rybka is my primary doctor, but Dr. Biggs delivered my baby via unplanned C-section. She was with my husband and I every step of the way through my very long delivery and surgery. Dr. Rybka went above and beyond to take care of me during my pregnancy, and even snuck down to check in on me after my baby was delivered.

Francisco Dongsuk KIM

Everything is great but really slow process.... I'm not sure how appointment system works here. I'm always waiting minimum 1 hour with appointment... otherwise everything is good with great service

Raven woods

Had horrible experience with Dr Williams! My wife went for regular checks at this OBGYN group. The doctors there said she will have to be induced at 39 weeks for normal vaginal delivery, so she went to Peidmont hospital on the planned date. Dr Williams was at duty for that night but never saw my wife even once. Instead nurses started giving her Cervidal and said there was a chance she might go into labor because of it & guess what? she did! There was no back up doctor, my wife was in Labor for a long time (more than 4 hours) but Dr Williams never showed up..We kept checking with nurses if doctor would arrive but were told 'doctor was informed'. Nurses were all panicky My baby`s hearbeat had dropped completely and that`s when the Dr Biggs who was handling the next shift (in the morning) arrived and did a C section immediately. My Baby had swallowed Maconium because of their negligence and was immediately sent to NICU (was treated with Anibiotics for more than a week) Will never go back

M Taylor

After nine years of being a patient at AWOG I am truly disappointed on how I was treated today over a billing dispute. The billing department is horrible and has always had issues. There is often a new practice manager and billing reps. The only reason I stayed this long is because I felt I had a great relationship with Dr. Hood. Unfortunately, when it all came down to it "policies" meant more than keeping me as a patient. I had to contact my insurance provider for accurate billing information. After being informed that I was responsible for a four month old lab bill for over $500 in which I never was informed of. BCBS informed me that notice was provided to the practice that they were responsible for the claim due to inaccurate billing. So, I guess they thought I wouldn't follow up with my insurance provider? In turn the bill was made my responsibility. No matter how I attempted to gain clarification everything was my fault. Anyway, I am no longer a patient and will make sure to let other professional women in Atlanta know this is not were you want to be. The administrative staff is horrible! I don't know who the light skinned African American young lady at the front desk is, but she attempted to be funny as I left the office clearly upset stating, "Have a great day." You don't know my professional/personal affiliations and connections. I'd suggest you represent your employer better young lady your smug attitude might come back to bite you.

Alora Moore

after reading the reviews I will be changing doctors immediately I didnt see one good thing about Dr C Williams

Rebecca Bingham

So far I haven’t had to wait long and I’ve gotten in and out in a timely manner. The nurses, front desk staff, and Drs I’ve met so far in my pregnancy have been great and kind. The billing department/lady is incredibly aggressive however and stresses me out to no end. I’ve explained on several occasions that my husband and I have full intentions on paying but we aren’t sure if we’ll be delivering at Piedmont due to a relocation so we prefer to hold off for now on making large payments and I’ve paid all of the lab bills but they badger you at every appointment to make a payment and make it really uncomfortable. That alone makes my appointment unpleasant and puts me in a bad mood from the start and takes away all joy of being there to hear and see my growing baby. Just BACK OFF. I have insurance and a great job, you’ll get your freakin money.

Lynlee Bradley

Love Love everyone there! So sweet caring and compassionate! Dr Rybka is my doctor and she was amazing throughout my pregnancy and delivered my beautiful son! Highly reccomend!

tonya nelson

If I could give a 0 star I would. The staff is unprofessional and are not aware of company policy. I should have paid attention to the red flag when I first walked into the waiting room. I was waiting behind a lady who was being treated rudely by the front desk staff. She had an appointment for earlier and had been waiting for nearly an hour before anyone gave her any indication of when she would be seen. I then walked up to the counter to come in contact with the most rude and irate administrative aid EVER! Her name was Melissa. There was an issue with my insurance card. Since I have Tricare (Military Insurance) they do not distribute insurance cards (which I informed the staff of). I was spoke with THREE different staff personnel and received THREE DIFFERENT answers. The second disrespectful staff member I came in contact with was Corrine. She walked up and POSED as the office manager. She was not! Without knowing the background of my issue with my card she abruptly said "No, we will not help you!" Even though the staff was CLEARLY inadequate and the service was HORRENDOUS! the Office Manager, Jenny, refused to believe me; the customer, when I brought my complaint about her staff she managed. I WARN ANY WOMAN WHO RESPECTS THEMSELVES TO NOT COME TO THIS OFFICE!!!!!!!!

Request the medical aid and waited for one month. Then I came to get it by myself. Did they care at all who used to be their customers.

JessieJanesWay T

I have been going here for 2 years. Recently they have gone so far below average its sad. ZERO customer service. They all have attitudes and are not helpful what so ever. Billing is a nightmare, and the front desk women are the rudest I have ever dealt with. So unprofessional to work in a doctors office I don't even know how they were hired. What is unfortunate is I loved my doctor there, and I will no longer be using them or referring them to ANYONE!

Stephen Galasso

1 star is way too kind. This place is the comcast of OBGYN's. You are just an account, a bill, a receivable. There is no empathy or compassion here. If you have ANY other alternative, do not go here. I promise you, look at all the reviews, this place is one of the worst. Also, please be cautious when it comes to your insurance, they will tell you what they think is right without actually checking with your insurance. My wife did not want to do the genetic testing because we did not care what the results were (even if testing came back one way it was not going to impact whether we had our baby or not). However, the tech told my wife - "there is no reason not to do it, your insurance covers it". The tech had NO CLUE about our insurance, and in fact it was subject to our deductible, so it cost us $1500 on something my wife never wanted done in the first place. Also- its impossible to get anyone on the phone. You will wait for days for a call back. I personally would not have posted this as I usually use my reviews for praise and "kudos" however when I saw that there were so many other terrible reviews I figured that I would add my 2 cents. Whats another 1 star review when you have 20? The partners need to see that their practice is being viewed in an extremely negative light and make the changes necessary to reflect the image I assume they want. Note that this is a review of the office staff, I do not have any opinion on the actual doctors as I have had no interaction with them.

Anna Ray

I love this practice! Every staff member I interact with is friendly and compassionate. After an ultrasound had an unexpected prognosis (not a viable pregnancy), a doctor overheard my conversation with the tech and immediately went to get my primary doctor, who was on rounds at the hospital, so we could discuss the situation with her. Our doctor came quickly and was able to talk us through a very difficult situation. I went on to have a perfectly healthy pregnancy and birth the following year.

Jessica Ochs

I’m not sure why there are a few negative reviews, as all of my experiences have been outstanding. I’ve been a patient I’d the practice since 2015 and had 2 babies with them. I have seen all of the doctors and have been pleased with everyone! Reception has been courteous and I’ve never waited more than a few moments before someone checked me in to my appointments (had a ton with each baby). If I ever had to wait to go back, it wasn’t any more than any other doctor’s office. The ladies that take vitals are the best! They are so kind and make you feel comfortable and relaxed right away. Dr.Cox and Dr. Rybka delivered my babies, so I spent more time with them than others, and I love them both! They were kind, patient, and competent: everything I wanted in a doctor. My experience with every doctor was positive and I recommend them to everyone! .
