From the moment I walked into Doctors Express, I felt welcomed! The facility was super clean all the way down to the restrooms. The staff were extremely concerned about my health and well-being. The nurses were awesome! When Dr. Nailor came in, she had excellent beside manners. My overall experience was wonderful! The best part of it all was the low wait times, and the doctor that followed up with me the next day to make sure that I was feeling better. Great job Doctors Express!

Very unprofessional took my mom there back in december, and she was told she had an urine infection the dr gave her some antibiotics a month later we went back because my mom was still feeling sick and they couldn’t find her file and when they did the dr said he never told her she had an infection and that he didn’t know what was going on with her! You are a Doctor with alot of experience and you cannot determine whats going on with her her and treat is like we lying about the infection ! Not going back thre again!!!

I am absolutely so impressed by the team and actual center on Howell Mill! I have never felt so warmly greeted by any office like this, and I appreciated it so much. I barely had to wait, and I was able to use the wi fi to work on things for work while I waited. The ladies at the front desk were both amazing and friendly, and they took the time to explain insurance questions that I had. I felt like the initial questioning by the nurse was very thorough, and she paid a lot of attention to important things that I feel are sometimes missed by other offices. The doctor was great, he prescribed exactly what I needed and the problem that I was having with my eye has since cleared up. Thank you so much to the Howell Mill team! They are amazing!

The entire staff at American Family Care were great. They all went above and beyond to care for me. Dr. Destito is very warm, caring, and compassionate. He is one of the best doctors I’ve encountered.

I had such a good experience I almost wish I could go here for my regular checkups and such. I hadn't been feeling well and woke up Saturday feeling worse. Saw that they opened at 10:00 and I was there by 10:05. There were 2 people in front of me. I was seen by the doc by about 10:40 and def done by 11:00. All of the employees greeted me with a smile. They all seemed competent. Dr. Short was very nice. The kicker for me was that I got a follow up call on Sunday evening to see if I was doing better. Now that's what I call customer service, something most doc offices take for granted!

This was my second time visiting the afc,my wait wasn't long and the entire staff was friendly I really appreciate the great customer service.

I cut my thumb slicing apples and was in a lot of pain. The folks at Dr Express did a great job getting me in with the doctor FAST. He walked me through what he was going to do, then gave me stitches. Also the receptionist and nurse were very empathetic and made sure I had everything I needed. Great experience and very inexpensive. . . . I would have waited hours at the ER and it would have probalby cost 5x as much. Thank you!

Spencer Gordon

Very efficient, smart doctor, and convenient!!

Today was my second time at AFC. The parking is so easy as it's not in the parking deck, I am greeted with a smile and a professional check-in right off the bat. My wait has never been more than 5 minutes and the triage is thorough and pleasant. I've had two physicians each time and they (and their nurses) are super professional and accommodating. The check out is as easy as the arrival. I actually enjoy AFC over my GP. Thank you!

Steve Youd

Dr. John and his staff were excellent... I sliced the top of my thumb off. They cleaned me up and stopped the bleeding. Total time in and out, including all paperwork, was 30 minutes.

Now I see why the ratings are so much higher than other urgent care centers in the area. Everybody I came in contact with was extremely professional, polite, and friendly. Wait time was minimal and although I hope not to get sick again any time soon, this will be the place I receive diagnosis.

Tanecia Jones

I am here right now and they are the most pleasant staff here. Especially for it to be early in the morning that everyone is so chipper. The doctors helped me out in every way, they asked and answered any questions I had. I would recommend this facility to anyone. Plus they're open every single day!! You can't beat that!

Ben Heller

First off, everyone here was really nice. I went with some chronic gut problems, and they basically told me they couldn't help me, which sucked. But they refunded my money, so it wasn't so bad. Here's why they get five stars. One of the guys working there not only recommended a gastroenterologist upstairs, he even called ahead to see if I could see him that day, and I was able to see someone about a problem that would normally take several weeks to even get an appointment same day. I've never been to a doctor's office that went so above and beyond. FIVE STARS! PS, if you're looking for a gastroenterologist, Dr. Sunshine on the sixth floor and his crew are just as nice and helpful.

Mailey McLaughlin

I went for a wound recheck and the staff was exceedingly helpful, polite, and worked as a well-oiled team. I appreciated their professionalism and expertise, the place was clean and bright, and we were in and out quickly. Thank you, Coretta, Alan, Florie, and Dr. Pita!

Suzanne Touchstone

I am very happy to have found this urgent care center. Our experience was wonderful & our time spent there very short considering the excellent quality of care we received!

I, Tarryn Hoff, had a very bad earache caused by sinusitis. On Thursday, April 3rd, I went into Doctors Express Urgent Care of Buckhead. I was seen immediately by the very friendly staff. The doctor was extremely pleasant and did a very professional job. She immediately diagnosed my condition and treated me with extreme care. Access to the building was quite easy and they validated my parking. I probably waited a total of only 15 minutes, and overall was out of there within 35 minutes. I would absolutely refer this urgent care to anyone in the greater Atlanta area. They are absolutely the best. As a business owner myself, always striving for exceeding customer's expectations, I must tell it like it is, and give a rate of 5 Stars, 100% A+ stamp of approval from GoTarryn Personal Training! Sincerely, Tarryn James Hoff "The Traveling Trainer"

Very professional office staff with short wait times. The doctor was Awesome. She actually listened and put me at ease very quickly. I think I could've shared my life story with her. Great Job American Family. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Hurt my wrist in a fall. They took me with very little wait, did an X-ray, verified no break, and accurately diagnosed the problem. The doctor seemed very knowledgeable and the tech was pleasant and competent. I will use them again. So many times the problem does not seem to rise to the level of going to ER, yet you are afraid to wait for days or even weeks for an appointment with a specialist, so this is the perfect place.

I stopped by this urgent care with a deep gash on my head that likely needed stitches. From the moment I walked in, the receptionist was slightly rude but I figured she may have been having a bad day and shrugged it off. After finishing my paperwork, the receptionist called me back up because she was unable to read my handwriting. I offered to rewrite the paperwork (with clearer penmanship) and she requested that I orally tell her all of my information. As I began to do so, she was extremely rude, condescending, and all around unpleasant. Her negative, rude energy reached a point that put me into tears and resulted in me walking out. I’m sure there are lovely and caring employees at this urgent care, but the ill bedside manner of the receptionist was so awful that I wasn’t able to meet any of them unfortunately.

Margo Devine

Yes. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Also my Dr. was very kind and did an excellent job in providing my care.

Whether treating (today's) sprained ankle or my daughter's sore throat, the folks at Doctor's Express are wonderful! Quick, efficient service and compassionate, knowledgable staff make even illness more pleasant. I wish they could be my primary care provider under Blue Cross-Blue Shield!

Ieasha Woodson

The staff are very friendly and supportive. The facility is always very clean. They always help my illness when I visit. They also called to check in with me the next day. Very customer driven!!! This clinic is highly recommended.

Dr. Lutin is a superb physician. He’s patient, thorough and highly competent.

Terrible experience. Dr. Destito took the barest of histories -- he asked me only one question about my symptoms -- did a less than two minute physical, and then prescribed me antibiotics. Antibiotics that I didn't need given that I had picked up a virus from my husband who had been sick the week before. If he had simply taken an extra 5 minutes to let me tell my story he could have figured that out. I'm a medical student and had a pretty solid suspicion that I had a virus, but I wanted to see a real doctor to make sure, since obviously I'm not licensed to practice yet! I wish I hadn't wasted my time and money seeing a doctor who didn't even bother to take a history -- I did a better job diagnosing myself than he did, as evidenced by the fact that the antibiotics did nothing and my symptoms actually got worse (he said they would clear up in three days -- not true!) What does that say about the quality of their doctors? On top of it all, they charged me the full cost of the visit up front, telling me I had not met the deductible for my policy yet -- even though I only have a deductible for out-of-network providers, and this clinic was listed under in-network providers on the website for my insurance company. I know how busy doctors can be, and that they often have less time to spend with patients than they wish. I also know a lazy doctor who doesn't bother to listen to his patients when I see one. UPDATE: Received the breakdown of my responsibility of my costs through my insurer, and Doctor's Express overcharged me by about $80. When I called they told me their information shows that I have a deductible (like I said, I do not) and they haven't received any information from the insurer about my claim yet so they can't reimburse me at this time. I will keep calling them until I get reimbursed, but it bothers me that I have to do that. I have to believe most of these other reviews are fake. Awful experience overall.

Brittany Davis-Uankum

I walked in and wasn't greeted pleasantly. As a new patient I was treated like a nuisance. I have new insurance and do not have my insurance card but have my insurance number. The receptionist said they couldn't see me in a very disrespectful manner. I went less than a mile up the road to another urgent care and got exceptional service. I will never refer this place or return, even if it was my only option.

I had a burn on my hand and ventured over to DE in order to receive treatment, at 7:15 pm on Tuesday 02/04. As I am walking up to the door, a gay gentleman cuts me off and tells me they are not accepting any more patients. I said, "What? I thought you closed at 8?" He said, "Yeah, I know but our waiting room is full of patients." I glanced over to the waiting room to see the cataclysm he was referencing..hmm, two patients reading magazines. "Okay. You really should change your hours to reflect 7 pm instead of 8. My hand is killing me!" I said. No apologies were given, no express of concern. He simply started to light a cigarette!! This is not a health care clinic. This is a business. However, we all know of restaurants that would stay open longer to serve their customers! My hand is fine, I have a second degree burn, it was treated, but I will never go there again. I would rather pay the higher costs associated with an ER visit then to deal with their "treatment".

Jocelyn Penner

I was seen quickly, treated with respect and received the care I came to the clinic for. For someone just temporarily in this city, it was a relief to find someplace I could be seen and treated rapidly for an issue that couldn't wait until I got home.

We have gone multiple times for self, wife for Severe Allergy rashes, Throat Infections, Bad cold and cough. The nurses are good, Doctors understand what we need and provide appropriate care and every time, it finished with only 1 visit. They have called back each time to check on us. Recommend this. Note: There are certain category of symtoms they do not accept patients. Please see their website / call to know.

The epitome of a lacking and void in both professionalism and expertise- the two most essential qualities within the medical profession. Not only did the staff make the entire experience uncomfortable and awkward via their latent lack of professionalism, but worse, they failed to perform their obligations as employees. The doctor that was assigned to me made a half-hearted and disinterested attempt to make a diagnosis, in response to which, I made a few suggestions. After admitting the potential plausibility for my suggestions and suggesting we may need further sampling, she exited the exam room while still responding to my line of questioning and her voice trailed off as she swallowed the end of her sentence. She never responded to clarify anything, to administer the additional test she suggested we administer, and she never made a clear diagnosis. A nurse came in and gave me prescriptions with no explanations or instructions and hurried me out of the exit. The WORST part of the experience is that the remedial potential diagnosis that was offered was in DIRECT conflict with the drugs prescribed. A simple google search took me to dozens of different reputable sites which directed that if the Doctor's half-hearted dagnosis in my circumstance revealed X, then one should NOT take the drug she prescribed me. Every site had this bolded and in all caps at the beginning of the instruction portion of the drug. My situation would have been worsened considerably had i complied with the doctor's orders. As a student of the law I only wish I could wait until the damages of my body could be actualized so that I could bring a cause of action for medical malpractice. Unfortunately I am too selfish to sacrifice my body and health for the sake others falling into the same negligent hands in the future. All I can do now is try to articulate other potential patients' needs to PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT THEY ARE PRESCRIBED AND DO THEIR OWN RESEARCH. As a rule of thumb, if the office you are in is lacking a vibe of professionalism, it is probably lacking professionals. Take Care

Christopher Richardson

Dr. Pita is a great doctor who provides great personal care. The entire process was smooth and the staff was terrific .

I came in for an allergic reaction. I'm not from Atlanta and have used the urgent care centers in my city a few times. Not only was the front desk extremely polite and personable when I checked in, the fun continued when I was brought into the back. Craig, the medical assistant, was such a hoot! He was very thorough with his part of the visit and he was also very personable, nice, funny, and happy. The real treat was when Dr. Nailor came into the room. I was expecting a serious, quick, and bland doctor to walk in. She came in radiating happiness, meaning she loves what she does. She listened to me attentively, answered all my questions, calmed my concerns, actually looked at my rash (which I was expecting her not to), and was genuinely interested in what I had to say. Being a person who has never had an allergic reaction in almost 27 years of life, she could tell I was confused and worried about the rash that was all over my face, neck, arms, and torso. She had a comforting presence and was just a wonderful doctor. I appreciated everyone's bubbly attitudes and friendliness. Especially in urgent care centers, the personnel tend to seem grumpy, rude, and rushed. Even though my visit was quick (meaning in and out within the hour), I didn't feel like I was rushed when I was interacting with each person. My sister and I would randomly say the rest of the day "Wow....those people at urgent care were just so nice!" Keep up the great work! You all eased my mind and gave me a boost of happiness for the rest of my day. :)

Morgan Sadowski

The staff was very friendly and professional. I waited MAYBE 10 minutes, if that, and was quickly was brought back to see Dr. John. He was extremely nice and calm, so it made me feel more at ease. I went in for strep throat- they tested me, which took 6 minutes, and Dr. John took care of any medicine I would need, including a note for work- no problem! The kind staff, and fast service was awesome, especially considering that i came in only a few days before the holidays. I was in and out within 30 minutes!

One star because I can't leave a negative star. I went there at 7:38pm and they close at 8pm. I was told that they could not see me because, blah, blah blah. I was there before 8pm like I mentioned. I told them that I have diabetes and my leg was infected. The lady at the front desk looked and got another person to look at it. He then went to get another person that came out and summarily said we won't see you today. I told him I have diabetes and there is an infection in my leg and that I have had cellulitus and it looked the same. He said it did not matter because they were not going to see me. I would love to be able to put a picture of my leg on here so that everyone could see exactly what it looked like.

Take Care

Makenna Murphy

I've been to Doctor's Express many times, and have always received excellent care. I recommend Dr Destito unequivocally.

Martin DiGeronimo

Wonderful staff, no wait, free coffee :) my new doctors! P.s. in and out in 30 minutes

William Tilton

I've been here a few times and I highly recommend it. The staff is helpful, everyone who has seen me has been friendly and helpful with problems, and the service has been prompt. I would recommend this location.

No wait time and the staff was so nice and helpful! By far the best urgent car experience I have ever had!

Robert Waldner

I had a great experience at this American Family Care. I went in for a cut, got looked at quickly and got great care including stitches. Staff was friendly and helpful and Dr. John was great. I highly recommend this urgent care facility.

Parrish Williams

They have a very friendly and professional staff. My wait wasn’t long at all and neither was my appointment length. I’ll be going back.

Dee Govna

Doctor prescribed me with a medication to treat genital warts,an it seems to have made the problem worse that what it was... Don't think i'll be going there again.

Tayler Walker

Terrible customer service on the physician side. Front desk and other staff fairly nice.

The wait was not long and the staff was awesome

mrsname2012 .

Don't waste your time. I got there at 7:30pm last Thursday. I was told: "doctor wont see anymore patients. They are done for today". Well make it clear for people and put on your website: "don't rely on work hours. Doctors make their own schedule. They leave work whenever they feel like".

Jordan Hurt

I had a great experience at this American Family Care office. I was in and out in under an hour, which is incredible. I thought the staff were very friendly, and the doctor was very knowledgeable.

I would NOT recommend this place. I went in for pain in my esophagus from taking antibiotics (doxycycline) with too little water and then going to bed right after (unbeknownst to me at the time of making the mistake, this is a very common problem with this drug as it burns into esophageal tissue and causes the pain, maybe even ulcers? I don't know, I was hoping the DOCTOR could tell me that instead of leaving me to guess myself). I waited for an hour and a half (pretty slow for a Thursday morning I think but that would have been fine if they had actually provided me with care). I didn't even get to see a doctor but instead had a snide nurse tell me I couldn't diagnose myself (no duh, just thought I'd offer the knowledge I had since the pain didn't randomly start, and it was definitely in my esophagus area). They said there was literally nothing they could do for me, despite me being in pain for 5 days and having difficulty eating. They just sent me home without even letting me see the doctor, and with no advice on how to deal with the pain. I'm pretty sure they could have told me what painkillers to use, or given me something to soothe my throat before/after eating. I'm going to have to go somewhere else, and I'd recommend that for anyone else too, or call in advance to see if they'll feel like treating your ailments, because apparently they don't for some issues, but you won't find that out until wasting 1-2 hours in their lobby first. Clearly, not impressed with their knowledge or customer service.

My wife and I visited this place on December 27th 2014 and it was just a horrible experience for both of us!! We were both very sick and had to cancel a flight on Christmas Day so after a week of being sick, with temperatures up to 104, we decided to go to Urgent Care since it was in network. When we got there the place was clean and did not look busy but as we signed in they told us that we would have to pay 108 dollars for copay!!! On my card it says urgent care and 35 dollars so that stunk and they even got my wife's pay wrong. They charged her the same amount and come to find out later they overcharged her for her visit. Now for the most part the receptionist was caring but when we go to see the doctor it was all downhill from there. We got a doctor by the name of Jing Jing Harris and she spent literally 5 minutes with us and seemed in a rush the whole time!! My wife had been sick for a week with a fever of up to 104 and when they took her temperature they said it was 100 so still high. She has a weaker immune system then most because she is a cancer survivor, which she told the doctor, and after two minutes checking out her ears and eyes she says to us that she has a COUGH??? Sinusitis!! Really!!! You did not even check her breathing with the scope how can you be so sure of yourself when the only test you did was check her ears and eyes and said everyone else has the same issue take these pills and see me in the morning. Here it is the 30th and she is no better then when she first got sick. I know the place was busy but take your time and do your job right!!! We were both in there and if you cared one inkling and listened to us and did some tests or listened to our breathing that would have been great. Then when I went up to the plate she looked in my throat because it was sore, and I did not have strep, she says to me I have Tonsilitis!! Really??!! because those were taken out when I was Ten with my Adenoids. I know I hear they can grow back but not fully!! I was just shocked at the insincerity of this doctor!! I will never go back again and I wish I never wasted 108 dollars with this visit!! If anything I should get half the money back since I did get some meds to help me out and they have but you did not even listen to my breathing and I told you I get Bronchitis a lot as it runs in the family. It took me a couple of days to write this because I have just been sick!! I hope if you go here you get a much better reception then we did!! However, I will not be returning.

shannon golden

John, Halima and staff were great!! I’ll be back! Thanks!

Robert Sanders

The waiting room is comfortable, the staff are friendly and competent, and the wait was short. There's even a Keurig coffee machine in the waiting room. I've been to several others in town -- North Atlanta Urgent Care, Highland Urgent Care -- and there's just no comparison. I saw Dr. Destito -- he was very warm and helpful.

Jim Dalton

Folks were nice and location is great. However the service is slow. I arrived at 8:30 am I was literally the only customer present and I still waited 50 minutes to see a doctor. 20 minutes of the wait was because I was a new customer and they had to approve my insurance. I will go back because I do not know of any alternatives.

Michael West

Pleasant Staff and no wait on a Tuesday morning! Dr. Pita was calm, efficient and helpful. Excellent service all around.

K Brauns

I was very impressed by this urgent care center in so many ways. The staff is very professional, friendly, and helpful. I wasn't sure what to expect as far as the wait time and I was pleasantly surprised that it was so brief. I had just been to a different urgent care center for my daughter a month before and was there for hours so I appreciated the promptness of Doctors Express. I really liked Dr. John. I felt at ease with him immediately. I had a nagging cold for weeks and decided it was time to get it checked out. Well, I was completely wrong thinking it was a cold. Dr. John diagnosed my symptoms as allergies and he was right. Allergy meds took care of them and I was back to my normal self in no time. Oh, another thing - I really appreciated that he called the next day to check in on me. My PCP doesn't even do that! I highly recommend this facility.

I took my wife there because of bruises in her legs; we thought they could potentially be clots. The doctor shooed us out of there and said to go to the emergency room immediately. He did not charge for the visit and I really appreciated it. We go there several times a year for severe colds and ear infections. Staff is nice. Doctors are good.

Genevieve Caruncho-Simpson

Smooth, professional experience! I was greeted upon entering by staff, only had to wait 10 minutes until seen by the RN, and then soon after, the MD. Everyone was personable, was provided clear and simple medical instructions, and was billed appropriately (i.e., they didn't upcode my treatment or overbilled my insurance like another 'Urgent Care' unit in a nearby hospital. New, clean facilities, with ample parking (they even validate it for you). Highly recommended.

Jay

Worse people on earth. Went there paid my co-pay and was seen. Went home happy not worrying about no bill whatsoever. Found out 7 months later that they sent me to collection for not paying my co-pay and when I called they told me that they had a change of policy and did not send the policy out on time to the location where i was seen. Well it's not my fault that you messed up and it's not my fault that you didn't want to pick up a phone or send me an email to notify me of $65 that you are charging me extra because some people work hard on their credits for a freaking $65 bill to be showing as a collection which could had been paid a long time ago. They did not care obviously because it is not their credits history but never again will I go there. Frustrating and feel bullied and I will take actions towards that

Excellent service. Short wait. I had a broken finger and an open bleeding wound. There were four people in the waiting room, but I got in very quickly. They gave me 3 X-rays, 3 shots, 3 sutures, and a prescription. The entire visit only took 40 minutes. They gave me a cd with the X-rays and a referral to an ortho for follow-up. Dr. John was awesome. I'll never go to an ER again for a moderate injury again.

Paul Mayberry

Only one doctor ever at this location. Tight crowded waiting room where you will spend a lot of time. If your not sick when you go in you will be when you leave. Yuk.

Kristi Tompkins

I have always had a good experience here until today. I went in Wednesday with neck pain and was seen quickly. All of the staff members were very nice that day. I went back today and had a terrible experience. The man at the reception desk was extremely rude. I called last night and was told that if my condition had not improved that I should return today. I waited for an hour and then he called me up to sign paperwork. I was also told that I would be charged for another visit when I was there less than 36 hours before with the same condition. I refused to pay the amount and left. I called back to speak to the Office Manager. She told me that I could call the owner and complain. She offered his phone number. I did not get the number. I did inform her that I would be leaving a review on the site. Now that I read all of the other reviews, I can see that the customer service is usually a negative experience. I actually took up for DE when someone said they had a bad experience. I also recommended them on a Social Media page. Now, I can reply back to that page with over 5,000 Buckhead members and let them know to go elsewhere. No one deserves to be treated this way at any time, especially when they are ill or in pain. I'm very disappointed. This was my "go to" place when I'm sick. Never again.

Michael Demperio

If you want to die, go to this place. If I could give it zero stars, I would. They couldn't care less about you. I had a parasite for a month and a half and they messed up my tests the first time, didn't tell me until I bothered them enough to actually look for my results, the. made me do it again and then two weeks later told me that they didn't find anything. Also, during that second visit which was about 4 weeks into my sickness, I told one of the doctors that I thought I had a parasite and he literally laughed at me as if I was being dramatic. So the next day I checked myself into the hospital, got my results the very next day, and of course, it was a parasite and got on the right meds immediately. Idiots.

Jay D

This place has roaches and I almost vomited when I saw it! The front desk staff was also highly unprofessional. They did not greet me when I approached the desk and seemed to be in a hurry. The triage nurse did not use gloves while examining me. To top it off, this place has roaches! I’m so disgusted and will never return! Unfortunately, my primary doctor was closed, but in hindsight I should’ve just toughened it out until the morning when I could see them. Be aware. You’ve been warned about this place.

In short, Doctor's Express is the ideal for urgent care clinics. The staff is efficient and friendly, the facility is very clean, and your concerns are addressed thoroughly. I was totally disheartened when my primary care physician was out of the office the week my body decided to put me through hell and all of the other in-house physicians were completely booked. When the office referred me to an 'urgent care clinic', I assumed I was in for a trainwreck. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in at Doctor's Express on Howell Mill. Although the wait time was indeed longer than I expected, I was comforted by then knowing that I wouldn't be rushed through my appointment. And that was exactly the case. Dr. Nailor and her team gave me the the time to address all of my symptoms and concerns, treated me for those, and about five minutes after I walked out of their offices, I received a phonecall from my local pharmacy informing me that my prescription was already filled and ready to be picked up. As an extra bonus, they are some of the most likeable people I've come across in a high-energy, high-stress medical environment such as an urgent clinic! I was properly diagnosed, treated, and back up and running within 2 days. Phew! Just an amazing team, really. I can't recommend this group enough.

I've been coming here for four years now... doctors have always had some of the best bedside manners and very knowledgeable. They're also very fast with blood work and specimens, doing many of them in-house. I removed one star for the office and nurse staff who have occasionally been rude or trashy, but the last few visits they've been new and very nice.

American Family Practice located on Howell Mill (in Atanta GA.) The staff has always been courteous, professional and caring. All of the doctors I have seen there have been great! I highly recommend AFC on Howell Mill!

Tashna Pinnock

I went to do a physical and the staff was great. They were obviously working as team and therefore provided great services and a very little wait time. I haven't experienced that at any other clinic.

Deniz G.

We went in because of a shoulder injury. The whole experience was very pleasant. The clinic is very clean and waiting time was short. The friendly staff and doctor took good care of us. The facility also has an x-ray machine and the possibility to send x-rays to specialists for further investigation. THe clinic is open between 8am-8pm during the week and between 8am-6pm during weekends. I would highly recommend this clinic.

I had a terrible experience at this doctor's office. I went at 7:30 PM during the week. They wrote me a prescription and sent it to a pharmacy that was closed for the night. I even asked them to double check and they claimed that it was open even thought it was already closed an hour prior. I called to follow up the next morning to have them transfer the prescription to another pharmacy that was open near me and they wouldn't do it. They would not write me a new prescription they said my only choice was to come in to get a new one or get it from the original pharmacy. They had terrible service and were not willing to work with me.

Friendly staff! Very helpful! Will definitely be back but not soon I hope lol

The lady who performed my blood draw was rough and apathetic. I had huge painful bruises on my arm for weeks after. She should have supported my arm while taking the blood draw- instead she had me support my own arm on a rickety wheel-in cart. Even when I told her this was the most painful blood draw I had ever experienced, she kept drawing blood until my arm ran dry. My hand was mottled- and numb for days after. My arm should have been supported on a flat, steady surface. Come on. It is not a patient's job to tell a provider this. I was in a state of shock at the apathy I experienced at the hands of this nurse. Wish I'd been warned. The doctor was sympathetic but the damage was already done. I can't believe I'm the one being charged--lining THEIR pockets--- for walking into THEIR HEALTHCARE FACILITY perfectly healthy and walking out in pain. Like wowwww, that should NEVER NEVER happen at the hands of a healthcare provider. And definitely for nothing so simple as a blood draw. The least they could have done was to offer to waive the cost of venipuncture... Fast forward, a month later, and it has been impossible to get any sort of response for a bill inquiry. The office manager has not been present when attempts have been made to call her and does not respond to her voice mails. The clinic keeps passing the buck to the Corporate Billing Department who have been just as unresponsive and impossible to reach. I almost get the feeling that they want to play phone tag until the bill is past due--cheap, terrible customer service. I wouldn't suggest going here UNLESS YOU'RE DYING because of the level of incompetency I experienced at all levels-during and after. Maybe they're good at other things for other people, but my experience has been annoying and unnecessarily painful.

Even after being told that it would be a pretty long wait, from check-in as a first time patient, to being seen and given the physical that I came in for was two hours right on the nose. Honestly not bad for being "super busy." Katrina was the lab tech that took blood from me and she made it quick, easy, and (relatively) pain free

I was just waiting to be seen at AFC Buckhead and am so un-impressed with this location. I have been to AFC on Roswell Rd once and had a pleasant experience, however this locations front desk staff is HIGHLY unprofessional. Tone: rude, gossiping at the front desk with friends, one of which worked there but looked as if she was off the clock. I’m waiting for her to verify my insurance for 15 minutes as she and her pals are just gossiping away. Then attempted to charge me 45 more dollars than the AFC off of Roswell Rd....I walked out, and will not be back!

I appreciate that the staff and Dr were very kind and caring. They treat people with respect, not like you are just a paycheck. I have been to two different AFC offices and have had a great experience both times

This place is horrible. Staff is rude and unprofessional. I was misdiagnosed. They called me the next day and told me I had strep after telling me I tested negative for it and then refused to give me documentation or a work excuse.

Jazmine Watson

Took my husband to have test done here. First I was told I did not have a copy because of my insurance then was told I had to pay one. Then they call my husband to tell him his results were back but when I went to pick them up they lost his paperwork. Front desk staff very unprofessional!!! Beware of this place.

kathryn nevin

I have not been to this facility since it changed over to afc. I was very impressed with the staff and Doctor Pita and will highly recommend to friends in this area. The staff was professional, the office and rooms were clean and Doctor Pita was very caring and knowledgeable.

I went to Doctor's Express twice recently. The first time I had a sprained ankle and got an x-ray to make sure it was not broken. I waited an hour to see the doctor. Additionally, they inaccurately billed me at the time and sent me another bill later, which was annoying. The second time, I took my son there when he fell and had a cut on his forehead. I took him to the urgent care because I wanted it to be stitched up as soon as possible to avoid scarring. 6 weeks later the scar is TERRIBLE and will clearly be visible all his life. I am so disappointed. I doubt it would be worse if I had just put a bandaid on it at home and saved the $325 they charged me for Dermabond (not covered by insurance, thanks!). I am very disappointed in the cosmetic outcome, considering it is in the middle of his face. I won't return here in the future. The cost is insane, even for simple procedures and I really don't feel the quality of care justifies it.

WOW! What a GREAT experience from discovery first online on a THUR eve before Memorial Day weekend to then seeing "Dr. John" early the next FRI morning. More businesses need to be like this! The staff here is outstanding...professionals who are on top of the healthcare game. Extremely courteous and professional first on the the phone, friendly and easy check-in, insurance matters check, short wait post sign-in, beautiful facility, great location at I-75/Howell Mill, easy FREE parking, price/value and the courteous team here were all just great! I had elbow injury (mild burcitis) and really needed to see a doctor before holiday weekend and more travel. Also, if you are reading this and also want a good mobile digital experience you will also be pleased. I highly recommend Doctors Express Urgent Care at I-75/Howell Mill. "Dr. John" and the whole team here are fantastic. Check them out...you'll be glad you did!

Terry Torres

While visiting friends in the Buckhead area, I began suffering with a terrible headache, fever, and congestion. My friends recommended Doctors Express. The office was extremely clean and the wait time was minimal. Dr. John and his nurse were very professional and caring. After a couple of tests, I had a diagnosis and a prescription. By the next day, I was feeling better and able to enjoy the rest of my visit. I highly recommend Doctors Express.

Whitney Jenkins

Deja the front desk receptionist is beyond rude and disrespectful.

Kim Shields

It was the most amazing doctor experience I've ever had! I took my daughter in for what I thought was the same upper respiratory infection I have but the wonderful doctor (so kind) must have seen something because he tested for mono and she had it! We were running late to an event and told them and honestly we were in and out so fast. They were incredibly professional, kind, and cheerful. 10/10!!

Kira Nason

After speaking to the the woman at the front desk who was very belittling I proceeded to wait for nearly an hour. I could have understood this if they were busy but when I was taken to my room there were 6 nurses and practitioners sitting in the back on their phones goofing off. The doctor I saw was very sweet, but I will not be returning due to the rest of the staff and their disregard for patients.

Clifford Russell

They have taken wonderful care of me each time that I needed them!!! Dr. John is superb!!!!

This place would have gotten 5 stars from me based on my initial visit. It was a follow-up phone call the day after my visit that ruined the experience. I went in for muscular pain and was prescribed a muscle relaxer that did absolutely nothing to help me. After 2 doses with no relief, I called the next day to see if there was a possibility to be prescribed something different. The gentleman who answered the phone immediately told me that they don't prescribe narcotics. Okay - that's fine. I'm not asking for a narcotic, and by they way, the doctor actually did prescribe me hydrocodone yesterday as well, but I didn't get if filled. His response was that the hydrocodone was what I should be taking. I proceeded to tell him why I would not be taking the hydrocodone (I hate it, doesn't work on me) and reiterated my desire to speak to or leave a message for the doctor I had seen the day before. He then tells me that there are only two muscle relaxers they prescribe, and they are both the same. I told him basically that I knew this to be false information, and he asked me if the person I got my information from had a medical background (WTF?). I told him that indeed they did. He then asked me why that person didn't prescribe another medicine for me. At this point, I asked him what his medical background was. It took me asking twice for him to finally tell me that he is a "medical assistant". Um. Ok. Silly me. I thought only an MD, RN, PA or Pharmacist was qualified to give you a medication consultation over the phone. The conversation deteriorated from there. He was rude, condescending and absolutely didn't care. It's a shame, because I definitely would have returned and referred others here. Unfortunately, until they get rid of this self-important "medical assistant", I will not be going back.

I am literally still in the office, just met the doctor (DR JOHNSON), sweetest man ever, really. He seemed so eager to help me and get me on my way, and the front desk staff was really nice, too. Think I'll be coming here for any future issues I've got, coz this is the best clinic I've ever been to. Five stars :) (He called ME smart~)

The care was good but they failed to submit my claim to the insurance company with the correct information to ensure proper payment in a timely manner.
