I love Dr. Rodriguez. I was referred to WPJax after an unfortunate emergency room visit, and have continued coming for continued care for a chronic issue. The nurses, ultrasound technician, and the rest of the staff are professional and considerate. I wish I could come here for my general medical needs- I don't want to go anywhere else.

I have nothing but good things to say about this practice. Dr. Desmaris and Wrenick are both amazing. Office is convenient for me to take office visits on my lunch break. Office is always clean, and staff is always friendly.

My ob showed no empathy, compassion, or concern when I had vaginal bleeding after my 3? Week. There was no pelvic examination or ultrasound to check my placenta only monitored the baby via straps around belly. I pushed for further examination & was ignored and said it was normal. By God’s grace I was able to transfer to a new physician where I was diagnosed with placenta previa. My ob was awarded a compassion award in 14’ but clearly things have changed at least in how I was treated. Even when I passed out in the store and fell the obgyn ONLY monitored the baby heart no blood work or anything. I am very disgusted with this practice. As a patient you have to entrust both you and your unborn care to the decisions and implemented knowledge of your physician and they failed me. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

What an excellent place - what great people! So thankful that Dr. Baird listened carefully to my concerns, and addressed them logically and graciously. Every member of the staff was efficient, yet kind and warm. The office was clean and attractive. It's never fun to need a doctor - but I believe this was the best healthcare experience I've ever had. Just can't say enough good things! I recommend Dr. Baird and his staff wholeheartedly, and without any reservations.

Today I had a 10:45 appointment and I was notified yesterday that I had Medicaid that I did not enroll in I was told to have it cancelled because they do not take patients with Tricare Prime and Medicaid. Mind you I have been seen by them for prior pregnancy and a month ago and never knew I had Medicaid. I let Amanda know I do not have Medicaid and never enrolled. I called Access and some kind a way I was enrolled I cancelled Medicaid effective 24 Jan 2017 and had them fax the cancellation letter. Today I call Access FL and they say letter has been faxed and it tells me Medicaid has been cancelled. When I call doctor Amanda says the fax isn't there and when they call it's showing I'm still enrolled I tell her I can call and merge call. When I merge the call she's not on the line and she transfers me to someone else. I end Access and tell the individual on the line I prefer to speak to Amanda bc she's who o have been dealing with. When Amanda gets on the line she says I transferred you to my supervisor bc I have other patients calling in that I need to tend to. Um excuse me I'm the patient that suppose to have your undivided attention just like I had to wait. I explain everything to her again and let her know I need to be seen today bc I'm high risk due to chromosome issues, bleeding, have pain and pressure. She said you will not be seen bc in the system you have Medicaid so what's the point of me calling Access for you to hear it cancelled. I ask why wasn't this caught earlier she says that's my responsibility it's yours and we don't check the system three weeks out you should be on top of that yourself. I told her I'll just have to look into another doctor or office bc she is very rude and I can't deal with rude staff. Let Dr Austin know she is a great doctor and I would love to remain her patient but I can't deal with unprofessional staff. I asked to talk to Dr Austin she said no she's seeing patients. I asked to leave a message on her line she said that's not how we do business around here. She said I might send her a email and if she decides to call she might give you a call. Umm, where did they get AMANDA from very unprofessional and she's dealing pregnant women that doesn't need stress. She needs to be FIRED reading other reviews I see a lot of other patients would agree.

I have never been treated so disrespectfully in all my life than by the staff at this practice. I'm currently 29 weeks into my second pregnancy and automatically high risk because I have had Type 1 diabetes since the age of 16. I have seen multiple consultanting practices for this reason to manage my blood sugars and to make sure that both me and my baby stay healthy. Though, due to issues with my insurance, I temporarily could not comply with some labs that needed to be done until the issue with my insurance was resolved. Due to this, ROC dismissed me from their practice so I was referred to UF Health after my insurance was fixed. Dawn and Laura, the ob nurses, at this point, started treating me terribly. They basically yelled at me and called me a liar for multiple reasons over the phone while I'm simply calling to try to get the miscommunication straightened out, causing me to become so emotional that I couldn't stop crying at my doctor's appointment that same day. I'm a teacher in this community and a respectful/nice person in general and she basically started accusing me of all these nasty things. I honestly felt like I was being treated like I was some kind of drug addict that was trying to kill my unborn baby. After being told that I could stay with their practice while also seeing the high risk doctors at UF Health if I wanted to (only so I could stay in the area to deliver at Baptist South) and after consulting with the doctors and nurses at UF Health, a month later, Dawn informed me that I couldn't come back to their practice at all, of course with no explanation whatsoever. Conveniently, all this happened right after they graciously accepted the $1500 delivery fee from my husband to deliver at Baptist South with their practice. Btw, we're still waiting to get that money back over a month later... I've never had any issues with the actual doctor's or nursing staff here, other than the handful that I've had to talk with over the phone. My first pregnancy with them went fine when my insurance covered 100% of my pregnancy. This pregnancy went fine until after they got our money and then they hastily started treating me terribly and eventually just stopped seeing me. I've had absolutely no issues with the doctors and staff at UF Health, and even though their facility may not be as nice, I would gladly stick with UF Health if I never have to deal with the staff at this practice again! Also, one of the major issues that you'll have with this practice is trying to communicate with someone over the phone to get your concerns heard. Any time you try and call to talk with anyone, you have to leave a voicemail and play phone tag with someone for a day or two. Just fyi!

I'll never go to another office for my GYN care. The staff at WPJ is amazing. I called for a sick visit and was put on Dr. Wrennicks schedule for the next day. Excellent care!

Dr. Keenan is great and very attentive.

I have booked my appointment over phone and I have confirmed it again over phone the next day. I have been waiting for almost a month now for my scheduled date of appointment. However, the day before of appointment I have received a text message stating that it is scheduled with a different doctor. When i checked over phone, they were unable to find an explanation, and trying to provide a new appointment with my doctor which is scheduled after 2 weeks. I finally left my work and went to the office in person and at least got an appointment a day after the scheduled date. concern1 ) without my knowledge, my appointment was rescheduled with someone else. concern 2) agents over the phone were terribly bad. were useless and helpless. concern 3) I have lost my time and effort and delay of another 24 hours, although i have rescheduled in person for the next day.

Been a patient here since moving to Jacksonville years ago. They've always treated myself and other friends that are patients well and the physicians are highly skilled and evidence-based while still maintaining an open and empathetic relationship with their patients.

M Laurynn

It is one of the best functioning and organized medical practices around - without a doubt! I don't think any "improvement" is needed at this office and I have been a patient for many, many years! In my opinion, Dr. Baird is the best OB-GYN doctor on the planet; hence, my long-term patient status with this consummate professional. He has been my physician since 1984. His affable demeanor and fantastic bedside manner remains unwavering. I dread the day this intelligent, organized physician retires!

I became very sick around month 2 of my pregnancy & couldn’t hold anything down. Water, Juice, Food, Saltines...Nothing. I started missing a lot of days at work. Sometimes Weeks at a time. I sent FMLA Papers To the office & Paid My $25. For a whole week I heard Nothing So I followed Up. I then Was told they don’t do Intermittent FMLA only weeks 35 & Up. I expressed My concerns for my job and all the missed days. Nothing happened. I continued To be sick and started talking with the On Duty nurse Dawn. They KEPT giving me different medicines to try. I expressed how I dont Take Medicine And Since Im Pregnant I really don’t feel comfortable taking all these different medications. Dawn was Very rude, Over Talked Me a Lot & never listened. Even said it was the first she heard I was Sick Which was a LIE. Obviously she wasn’t adding notes to my file. I started Having nose bleeds while talking with Dawn, crying, & still not eating. I lost so much weight but the office wouldn’t bring me in to research more. I’ll go to the hospital for IVs but that’s all they recommended. Long story short I switched offices and went with NFOBGYN & Got Admitted To The Hospital On My FIRST Visit. During the visit I threw Up, excessive weight lost & super high blood pressure. My Body was shutting down. After I had the office transfer my records Dawn wouldn’t talk to me. I Even Left a Message for the office manager. Still no call back. I’ve called several times and still NO CALL BACK. I will never Recommend This office to anyone. I felt Like they left me to die. Not only was I sick but I’m sick and pregnant which means I’m not giving my unborn child all the nutrients he needs to grow. They are the worst. First pregnancy has been horrible because they failed to listen & do their jobs.

NOT THE BEST! I am 6 months pregnant and there 4 doctors and 2 assistants taking care of patients. Every time I go for check up, I see a different person which is not a ideal condition for a pregnant woman actually. But still, I like all the doctors and they are not the reason of one star. The office have you sign some payment plan papers by being super nice then try to get the whole payment 4 months before your delivery (doesn't make sense) Anyways I signed those papers by saying I will be switching a better insurance plan. They said "Ok, we will prepare another plan that time but they didn't and then ask me to pay $2500 which is same with previous insurance balance, without giving heads up at the day of my next appointment. When I ask for a new payment plan paper, I don't know her name but she gives the appointments at the back I think, started to scream at me over the phone and turned it like she was literally fighting with me over the phone... maybe because of her prior frustrations with someone else. Because I believe I have the right to ask for the documents before paying thousand dollars right away!!!!!! She gave me all kind of stress and it is NOT GOOD for the baby. What an office! My bad selecting and trusting them! Now I want to change my doctor office. Let's see what is waiting for me... I am just sad... Terrible people with an unprofessional attitude!

Juleppe Roby

Amanda and Erica who answered the phone are just rude, I'm weary about making an appointment now or having anything performed. Also based on the reviews. Its unfortunate that nothing has been done to fix this awful customer service !!!

Staff was nice. Some of their doctors are good. Please do some research on doctors years of experience, etc, before selecting a doctor before going to this facility. When a patient comes in with severe abdominal pain for 3 days, maybe the doctor should run some tests and stat labs, and/or send the patient to the hospital instead of sending the patient home saying everything was fine, when clearly it wasn't because she had a miscarriage the next day.

Very disappointed in this facility. You can tell that nobody really enjoys their job. Front desk is generally unwelcoming, the obstetrics nurse is frequently extremely rude, and my wife had to call repeatedly to get a referral faxed. The phlebotomist wiped off her arm with alcohol to draw blood and then used her ungloved finger to poke for a vein again and put a needle in before my wife could stop her. Definitely unsanitary! The nurse practitioner Brittany was excellent and by far the only redeeming thing about this place. Unfortunately she doesn’t do deliveries and my wife in her third trimester had no idea who was even scheduled to perform her c section. My wife felt extremely uncomfortable continuing her pregnancy with this practice and decided to switch. When they called to ask us if we were switching, they didn’t ask the most important question a practice should ask in these situations. The “why” are you switching so we can improve for the future. Overall you can tell that this is a place the staff doesn’t even want to be. If the people who spend 40 hours per week there are miserable, why would we trust this practice in a labor and delivery situation?

Sarah

The nurses and doctors are all lovely! I have been a patient of the practice for 3 years, including two pregnancies, and felt supported, informed, and confident in my care every step of the way. I especially love the way Dr. Desmarais and the L&D nurse helped me through my difficult delivery and were able to safely deliver my little one. Love the people here!!

Isabel Pineda

The doctor was always awesome and his nurse as well, the only issued i had was the customer experience with the receptionist, if you want a happy customer you should have great people to attract customer. She was very horrible when giving me different options for appointments, not friendly at all and this office sent me a letter advicing of not coming back to the facility without asking what the issue was. That is very disatisfying since you can't simply take someone away without speaking to the customer about the situation. No one ever called me back to follow up on my voice mail after receiving this letter.

NO Saints Mom

I love Dr. Austin and Dr. Keenan. They delivered both of my children and they did an awesome job. I am so appreciative of them. Some of the other doctors seem a little impersonal and you don't neccesarily know which doctor you will be delivering with, because it's based on who is on-call, but I'm glad that it was with these two women. Dr. Austin is my regular obgyn and I would recommend her to anyone.

Called last minute to cancel appointment, again. Won't provide a reasonable explaination. This is the second time they've cancelled on us. When we told them we have no time to keep rescheduling, they said "I'm sorry, there's nothing we can do. It's your kid, hopefully you can find some time". It's their responsibility to honor their appointments and they should be accountable.

Madison Lagemann

Tried to call just to make an appointment, their hours are listed and repeated on their telephone line Friday 8:30-1:45. Called at 1:30 and they sent me to an answer machine saying their office is closed after the second ring, called again and the same thing happened, called their other location, same thing. The phone always rang 1-3 times before kicking to answering machine meaning that someone at each location purposely sent my call to the after hours answering machine. The clearly don’t want customers.

Great care with an exceptional team.

This was recommended to me from Mayo Clinic. This was covered by my insurance and I needed a better obgyn. I have been here for 1 annual and 1 checkup with Dr. Trogolo last year and I was very impressed. When you walk in, you can tell the business is “high end” so if your insurance doesn’t cover it, I would assume that it can get expensive. They have a large indoor fountain in the waiting room. The patient rooms each have a private changing area. The facility was very clean and it seemed to meet all of the “Mayo” standards. It was my first annual so I was definitely traumatized, but I am sure that is as comfortable as it gets for gynecologists. Throughout the year, I had one issue with my pharmacy and I called this office to explain my frustration and they fixed the problem within seconds and let me deal with my pharmacy next month. I will be having my annual here next year.

Alleycakes Bakery

I couldn’t ask for a better place! The staff is always so caring and lovely to deal with. Dr. Baird is seriously the most amazing man, and you couldn’t imagine a better doctor watching over you. He has helped me through some of the hardest time and happiest times! I highly recommend this office!

Yajaira Galdamez

!!!!Worst customer service ever!!! Every time I called to make an appointment they were so rude. The last time I called this lady named "Erica" gave me the worst attitude. She even raised her voice at me like if I was deaf. Her attitude was just UNBELIEVABLE.. I had scheduled the appointment and because of her attitude I cancelled it and a few minutes later I called the "Baptist South" Obgyn and their customer service was so great... I made the decision to switch clinics and I am so glad I did :)

Jelenny Martinez

I recommend Dr. Austin for gyn services. She is quick yet personable and thorough. It's also nice that I can access my records on their web portal. I didn't like the office hours though because they're only open when I have work.

T Young

Although I love the doctors and nurses that I have encountered here their office staff leaves much to be desired. I see I'm not the only one Amanda has been rude to. She was extremely rude and condescending to me on the phone when I voiced my frustration about a billing issue that I thought was taken care of. She accused me of lying when I told her what I had been told by someone else, hence my confusion. She then told me one thing and changed it in the next breath and when I called her out on it she called me a liar again. Piss poor customer service. By the way...still waiting for a call back 3:30PM from "Billing" about my issue even though I called at 8:40AM and left a message, then left a 2nd message at about an hour later . Tried to call right at 8:30 but their phones were still rolled to night still.

Ottaviano Lombardi

I have never been treated so disrespectfully in all my life ! They are really mean and not professional !!!

Nicholas Pound

Tried to get my wife and appointment, after not getting a call back I found out the doctors do not want to see her because she is too far along for them.I don’t think they are in this profession for the right reasons.

Liang Yuqi

Yes, trust those google reviews! I know people talking about their scheduling issues and billing issues, I thought I might be the lucky one. I was told I need to pay for the $270 consultation fee when checking in even before I see my doctor. And I arrived 12mins earlier before my 1:30 appointment, but waited till 1:52. I then asked my nurse whether I could make it as an annual check so I could save the consultation fee, then she told me if I wanna make it annual exam my doctor won't provide insights on my specific issue and she consulted with doctor if I can change it to an annual check, but they suggested me to have the consultation first. (Before my visit, a lady told me over phone that ultrasound would performed, which I never had during my annual check. So I would think it would be more specific.) As you know a doctor came in and did regular exam, the whole conversation had no difference with my annual check at any other places and the whole contact with the doctor was no longer than 30mins, even the prescription was same. Finally I was asked to pay $170 for consultation instead of $270. Can you believe it, how the price changed, both of them told me the price was for new patient Evaluation and Examination.
