I have no idea what everyone is talking about. This place is so warm and friendly . Attentive staff. Felt very comfortable.
Horrrible staff except for the doctors. Out of 7 times ive called they've only answered 1 time. And the staff is extremely rude. I was 10 minutes late and they cancelled my appointment even tho i called and TRIED to leave a message to let them know i was gonna be late. But they didnt answer. Now i am waiting to fill my prescriptions but they wanna make me wait hours. So id recommend somewhere else if u can. But other than thw staff the doctors are extremely nice.
The staff is very friendly and so is one of the doctors that I seen here. He asked all kinds of questions, compared to another lady Dr I seen who didn't ask one single question and was more worried about taking me off medication I'm on! I hope this office continues like this
My daughter has been seeing Tyler at the Sanford office. She is on the autism spectrum and has been dealing with many social issues. Tyler has a very good understanding of her disorder and has helped her tremendously. We are so pleased with the care she has received at SAAFE and would highly recommend the Sanford ofc. The staff there is kind and supportive.

I'm not sure why there are such complaints here about the staff; they have been nothing but kind and helpful to me. Vanessa, Nina and Marline are the ones I've interacted with and they are always pleasant and cheerful. The practice seems perfectly competent and organized, the staff knowledgeable. The only complaint I could make is that it's taken me some continuous follow-up to ensure I get my prescription sent in to my pharmacy, but I've had delays and set backs for pretty much any doctor I've ever seen. I just chalk it up to the American healthcare system. SAAFE has been a good experience for me so far.
Rude, rude, rude!!!
Unfortunately the employees are not great. I’ve had some of the worst experiences there. Today Tessa or whatever her name is hung up the phone in my face after being rude as hell. I paid $180 for paperwork that isn’t needed in the first place and no one is willing to work with me on a refund. They are very rude, passive and money hungry. Over the phone too. It’s a shame because the Doctors there are wonderful.
Everyone there is wonderful! Jessica in the office, Dinah in processing, and the counselor, Mr. Jose Vera, are all kind, professional, and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them!

Overall bad experience with the doctor. Overall bad experience with The patient coordinator and her boss who discharged my son because I missed two appointments in six months when one of them they canceled because the Doctor Who is treating my son quit the practice. People in this office are very rude diss interested in the patients. I was also told when I did not like the Doctor Who is treating my son that I was not allowed to switch doctors !
I'm absolutely shocked by how much of an a**hole Dr Calderon was on the very first visit, on top of being flat out rude. I've encountered rude doctors in my life but this guy definitely topped the charts. Also he didn't even pretend to have any compassion, he was as blatant as could be. I NEVER write comments this negative, that could take business from someone, but my visit with him has caused me to finally make an exception. People need to know about this guy before they go find out the hard way.
The staff is extremely rude, the doctor doesn’t even ask you any questions. He just gives you your refill and sends you off. They only give refills if you are seen. They do not care about their patients. This place only wants money.
One star is being nice! Very rude!! Walked out before the first 10 min. were up!
Very satisfied with SAAFE Behavioral in Sanford. My son sees Tyler for therapy he works great with him he is able to reach my son in ways that past therapust have not been able too. I see Aimee for therapy she is able to make me feel at ease talking about my life. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The doctor is very nice to work with on any issues. I would recommend SAAFE Behavioral to anyone looking for a safe place for behavioral health and mental health.
The Sanford location has been amazing with my daughter. However the turn over with doctors has been concerning to me. The staff here in Sanford has always gone above and beyond. My daughter is very comfortable with the nurses taking her blood pressure and weight. I have just begun seeing a new psych Dr here at this location. We were using the Deland location after Dr. Vega left the practice. I am not and will never be a fan of the nurse practitioner that was over in the Deland location. FORTUNATELY...she is no longer with the practice. The new doctor seems to be on the same page as I am...as little medication at the lowest dose!! Very optimistic about him!
Wow where to begin. Do not let your insurance pay these people. The front desk people who sign you in and take your weight are nice, but the "dr." Wow. What a C U N T. She was NOT a doctor but a nurse practitioner. It was a flat-out interrogation and when asked to describe my symptoms of PTSD I became very upset and told her that it's hard for me to recollect what causes my condition. She forcefully demanded more answers more details until I could not stop tears from streaming down my face it gave me a full-blown anxiety attack and all she did was walk out of the room hand me a box of tissues and continue the interrogation. I was even criticized about my parenting and was told that I could be held in " contempt of neglect" for allowing my daughter to see her grandparents. When I'm telling you that this woman has a mean nasty attitude and has no concern for helping people... Read all these other reviews because I wish I did before I came here absolute waste of time energy I went there to get help for my PTSD and anxiety and instead encountered someone who made it worse do not bring your children here or yourself. Desensitized, stuck up RUDE
I have been under the care of Mr. Tlyer March at the SAAFE Sanford location for about a year now. I have been through a few therapists trying to find one that best fits my needs. It was a long road getting here but I have to say that he is the best!! From the moment he greets you in the waiting room til the time you leave. He puts you at ease. He takes the time to really understand you and help you through the issues your battling. Mr. Tyler March has really helped me florish as an individulal. If you are in need of theraputic services I strongly reccomend you seek his counsel. You will be glad you did.
I’m always treated with respect. I’m never judged. Tyler takes his time and let me vent how I need to.. Offers me any words of advice if needed. I love going to safee Bahavorial at Sanford..
My therapist here was amazing, I'm sad that I out grew him and my psychiatrist is above average. The system is still out dated, in that if you fail a drug test you lose both therapist and psychiatrist. Given the benefits of medical marijuana, I believe that the facility needs to adopt new policies to fit more modern conventional times. I have never been flagged for any other drugs other than medical marijuana. Because of this I'll say this facility is okay. Definitely a cut above the rest, so there is quality here if your looking for it. The nurses and staff are always overworked but they have always been very kind to me and addressed a lot of my concerns... Beware of fees if you request paperwork, another flaw in the facility here. As I struggled with getting documents to and from school to life medical holds. Other than that this place is worth giving a try.
Terrible customer sevice. On my first appointment I was 10 minutes late because it was almost impossible to leave work. And in second place I couldn't find the office. They do not give chances to anybody. Life happens! And also they practice fake compassion. No question where asked at all. She just told me that she was going to reschedule. Only one person at the front desk at my arrival. And she was with another patient. Of course I was even more late because I couldn't even sign in until she was finished with the other patient. I don't recomend this place at all

When my son first came to SAAFE in Sanford, we were so lost and confused. We had been involved with the mental health community since he was very small without a lot of positive results. We were disheartened, but desperate to find solutions and the right therapist who could help. That's when we were fortunate to meet Dr. Tyler March at SAAFE. He was able to reach and offer guidance to my son like no other therapist had done thus far. My son went from not wanting to attend his sessions to looking forward to sharing with Dr. March. My son recognized his expertise and appreciated the respect that Dr. March showed him. I am proud to say that since my son has been under the care of SAAFE Behavioral Services and Dr. March, he has flourished. He is no longer using medication to modify his behavior and is blossoming into his beautiful self. Thank you Dr. Tyler March!!! You have made a huge difference in my son's life and in mine. We appreciate you!
Prescribed a medication, the prescription was never sent to the pharmacy. Everytime I call the office my call gets pushed around and I'm still without my prescription. Apparently there's only one person who calls in prescriptions and can even talk about them and if that person is not in the office then your only option is to leave voicemails till you're blue in the face. tldr; they're going to take your money then ignore you
As far as the staff being very rude and the psychiatric doctors COMPLETELY unrealiable !!! constantly canceling appointments or both staff and THEM mixing appointments up!!! The therapist Tyler March was/is incrediable not only did he help my daughter and son , my family went thru a horrible tragedy and Dr. Tyler March was with us all every step of the way. He helped my kids and myself get in a better place and closer together. To be honest Tyler saved my little brothers life and mind state; With his guidance, advice and professionalism. To Tyler March, Thank You.
My experience with SAAFE Behavior Services in Sanford has been very positive. Dr Pallai, my psychiatrist, has always asked questions to determine how I was feeling, and medication was adjusted accordingly. Tyler March, my counselor, has worked with me to process reasons behind my isolation and depression. When I first met with Tyler I felt I was "falling apart". During our sessions he listened to what I had to say, then offered helpful feedback. He was always nonjudgmental and compassionate, helping me to deal with my issues. I had a problem of dealing with family and others that were hurtful to me. I knew if I spoke to them that I would be crying or the opposite, dealing with them in a hostile manner. Tyler taught me different methods of responding to these people. My favorite method he taught me to use is the RAIN technique. Besides helping me to deal with isolation and depression, Tyler helped me deal with a person in my home that had a problem with drug addiction. I have found the people who worked the front desk to be friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend the Sanford SAAFE center to anyone seeking help for mental health issues. Jean Dacre
My first visit rather than arriving 15 minutes early as recommended, I arrived 5 minutes late. It took me another 55 minutes to complete the intake paperwork and intake exam. I stated that my appointment time was probably up and I was told the doctor would see me in a moment. The office seemed pretty busy. Dr. Raju came out to greet me. He was very pleasant and attentive to my needs. I don't give 5 stars because no place is perfect.
Truly helpful and caring to say the least!
