This place is extremely frustrating. Firstly, getting an appointment is almost impossible. Prepare to wait 30 minutes for someone to answer, and then be transferred, where you will wait another 20 minutes. I dread scheduling appointments because it truly is an hour long ordeal. Each time I have an appointment, they tell me they do not accept my insurance, which they do. Typically it takes days for someone to get back to me realizing they do in fact accept my insurance. My birth control shot is very time sensitive and they have sent me home when I arrived for an appointment due to their failure to keep note that they do accept my insurance. A truly unorganized office, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

My husband is a physician. He wouldn’t want me being seen by anyone else but NFWC because he knows first-hand that they are all attentive to their patients in and out of the office. Dr. Friall and all the staff at NFWC are exceptional. I had the pleasure of receiving prenatal care for my third baby with NFWC. I felt that my concerns were always addressed and the doctors and the NP always took their time with me. Today, I had my first annual visit with Dr. Friall since having my baby in December 2017. She made me feel completely comfortable and at ease. I had several questions. She was able to educate me so that I could make informed decisions about my own personal health care. I was also able to get my flu shot - I appreciated that convenience! I highly recommend NFWC!

I’ve had the worst experience ever with NFLWC! With this being my first pregnancy I wanted to learn as much as I could. However, I was advised by a supervisor there that they didn’t have the time to sit with each patient to explain their billing process or answer all our questions. I was advised to use the online portal which takes them damn near 7 business days to respond. When you call with any questions you get unsure or multiple different answers as well as being told to ask your doctor when you come in. At my very first appointment when I was 8 weeks pregnant they gave me a letter saying I had until I was 26 weeks to pay 2790.00 two weeks later they starts sending me final notices for the payment and calling me about it. That’s where the stress states and I don’t understand how they’re supposed to be there to better your health and care for your baby when they cause you more stress than anything. Long story short they’re horrible and you’re just a number. I have experienced nothing but I’ll treatment and one doctor even made racist comments about my boyfriend. I didn’t bother to complain to the supervisor anymore at this point I made it my duty to find another facility at 34 weeks and now they’re trying not to refund me the money they harassed me for. If you want to be more than just another number I suggest you look around and interview potential OBGYN’s.

Worst decision I've ever made choosing this place for medical care. Customer Service is terrible. My doctor billed me for labs that I had no knowledge of, which I am currently in the process of reporting a complaint to the Florida Board of Medicine Association. Just very unprofessional and unethical. The lady at the front desk read my test orders and results out loud in front of other patients when I questioned a bill. She saw that I was stunned at her behavior, she replied "It's all negative (referring to the results), it's all right"... I literally had no words.

Never going back here even though it was easy to get an appointment. The doctor made my condition seem like it was nothing and suggested I continue OTC pain medications. They scheduled me for an ultrasound a week later, and then a follow-up to the ultrasound a MONTH later...so that's 3 visits within a month and a half and still no care. Calling my insurance company smh.

Won’t let me make an appt after receiving a referral from my doctor, even if I pay cash. I’ve been waiting 6 months to have routine work done as a high risk cancer patient and the excuses and bs this company feeds me about why they can’t even make an appointment for me are so unethical. I was told my birth control that they prescribed me was “the lowest dose of estrogen” and could not possibly be what was making me too nauseated to be able to even function at work. Yet when I stopped taking it, the nausea vanished. They refused to fill out FMLA paperwork for the nausea as well, claiming their “treatment” did not cause it, when in fact, it did. After research, I also found out the birth control I was taking was ineffective for my weight. Ineffective treatment and complete lack of empathy is why I will never use NFWC ever again.

The care I received today at NFWC was great. I LOVED the nurse practitioner that took the time to speak with me and help me. She was so much nicer that Dr Ashmore used to be. He didn’t seem to have the time to listen and made snarky comments. Parking is a nightmare. Especially if you have a 9am apt time. Also whoever they use to do their scheduling is terrible. I called for my yearly well woman apt...but mentioned I was having a cpl of minor medical issues as well that I would like to address. The scheduler told me I would have to make a separate appointment to have my medical issues addressed...that it could not simply be done during the same apt. So I said no way...just set up the well woman check forget the medical. Then during my well woman check I just told my nurse practitioner about my symptoms and we were able to get everything done in one apt without me having to pay a co pay for a later apt(I get well woman checks for free through my insurance). Nice try though. I guess they’ll have to bill someone else’s insurance for an unnecessary second trip. I have not had issues with long hold times making my appointments. Also the wait time before apt time is minimal. Read the paperwork before you sign it though. Make sure you’re cool with it. They are big on arbitration issues at this place. Just be aware of what your signing

I’ve been a patient at NFWC for three years now and have had a great experience. Dr. Franz is absolutely amazing! I’ve seen him for my annual well-woman exams as well as obstetrics— he is informative and has great bedside manner. I have never once felt uncomfortable in his care. I was very anxious when I had to have a c-section with my son, but Dr. Franz kept me calm through the whole procedure and talked me through it. The office staff has always been very helpful and accommodating for appointment times and makes it easy to reschedule through patient portal. I would highly recommend this practice and Dr. Franz!

I have been a patient at NFWC for over 10 years. I absolutely love Dr. Dixon. However my love for NFWC stops there. I can never get in touch with anyone, I am on hold for sometimes up to 45 minutes. Scheduling is a pain. The last time I was in the office they had told me that the schedule was not open for January (back in October) & that they would call me as soon as it opened up to schedule my appointment. I never received a call. So I called in November. After I was on hold for 45 minutes, the scheduler who answered my call was extremely rude. I explained that I need an appointment for January & I never received a call to schedule my appointment. I was told that I wouldn't be able to get in until February. I was not offered an apology or anything. This is not the first time I have had an issue with customer service. I miss the old NFWC & the old staff.

Had my first visit today and the staff and Dr. McAlpine were so professional, caring, approachable, and friendly. I would definately recommend this office. *Note: parking is on the top level of the parking garage and their office is right there. Very convenient and easy to get to. Wait time was minimal. They allowed me to prefill my new patient paperwork prior to arriving and all they needed to do was scan my Driver's license and insurance card once I got there.

First of all, if you are looking for a facility where you see just your doctor who is with you through the entire pregnancy process, you need to keep looking. I think I saw a different healthcare provider at each visit and I still didn't meet them all. I have heard there are amazing doctors at this facility. Doctor Dixon actually delivered my baby and I loved the care I received from him. I had not met him until delivery day. I've had pretty bad experiences with some of the nurses, as well as one of the doctors (Dr. Haddock). When calling to speak with a nurse, I get a different answer every time on the same issue, and some nurses have even been rude to me and spoke to me like my concerns were stupid. My issue with Dr. Haddock was her bedside manner. She also made me feel as though my questions or concerns were a not important... well, they are important to me, and it's my body so I expect them to be answered in a kind manner. I am paying you if you seem to have forgotten.

I have been a patient of Dr. Dixon's for 9 years. He is great, but it takes months to schedule an appointment. Whether calling (being on hold for over an hour) or going through patient portal. Everytime i have reached someone they just tell me to go to the ER. Which I have, because I can never make an appointment and have severe PCOS and endo. So, I now owe over $400 to TMH for ER visits. The staff is rude and not sympathetic at ALL. I am very frustrated as the nurses and front staff hardly treat you like a person. Basically- great doctors. But the office staff is AWFUL. I miss the old staff and the old order of operations.

This place has gone completely down hill. I absolutely love my Dr. but this office makes it impossible to want to be a patient here. EVERYTIME I call to schedule an apt, ask a question, verify insurance etc its always a 45 min wait on hold, then to be transferred a million times. Not to mention, every staff I talk to on the phone is extremely rude and has absolutely no desire to help me. When I ask a question, I have one staff tell me one thing, then another staff tell me that's not true and I am always spoken to like I am stupid when I simply just have a question. Its very sad they make their patients feel this way. This should be a place patients feel comfortable and be able to feel as if they can ask questions. Sadly after being a patient here for 7+ years I can no longer take being treated this way and will find other care. I was excited to call and make my First OB appointment after just finding out I am now expecting and all over again I deal with the same mess. Its already time for me to be seen (I am 12 weeks) and they told me they couldn't even get me in till the middle of February when you are suppose to be seen at least by 8-9 weeks for a first appointment. Clearly they do not take patients care seriously and do not trust this office with the care of my baby and I. I have read numerous reviews of woman having the same issues therefore its a problem I know I am not the only one. So please take my advice and do not even bother with this office.

I am currently undergoing my first pregnancy and I am also a new patient at this office. I can't say enough good things about this place! From the front desk to the nurses that check my BP and weight etc.. to Dr. Thompson and the ARNP Erin Roberts that I saw recently, I was treated with kindness and truly felt like they care about mine and my baby's well being. My husband and I had a TON of questions and all staff members, even the ultrasound tech took time to answer and explain everything. Definitely suggest this place! Quick. Easy. Fast. Professional. I moved from out of state, and was told to come here as they’re the best in the business. They were right! Paperwork was all done prior and online, and I received text reminders as well. Arrived early and parking was $1, which I didn’t mind. Got into my appointment, all from the check in to the check out was beyond prompt, professional and I have never enjoyed going to the doctor so much. Looking forward to going back next year for my well women exam. Definitely give this place a try, you won’t regret it!

I went in hopeful, but had a horrible experience. I tried 2 different doctors from their facility and they treated me like they could care less about me and my baby. I asked for medication for my pain and nausea and the doctor “forgot” to put in my prescription multiple times, I was falsely told that I most likely had a false pregnancy (his tone was as if he was telling me the weather) which put me under IMMENSE STRESS, and my insurance and job provided me with intermittent leave for when I wasn’t feeling well so I wouldn’t be penalized at work and my doctor (who didn’t prescribe me medication in the first place because she forgot) and staff denied my leave because “ I didn’t need and because they were taking care of me”. I was very surprised because I had heard such good things about both of these doctors but for some reason idk if it’s my race, age, or maybe just I came on bad days but it was terrible and I was forced to find yet another Doctor at a different facility who was THANK GOD an angel!

Con: Finding a parking is a little hard, make sure you get off at the second floor and it's right there, if you get off anywhere else, it will be frustrating.

Dr. McAlpine is the best! He is so nice, takes his time and I feel like he really listens to my concerns. He never rushes me and always answers all my questions! Also, Kim at check out is great too! Dr. Friall is AWESOME!!! Going to get your well-woman physical with her is like going to hang out with your girlfriend! However, she was unavailable today and for the first time I saw another doctor, Dr. Dixon. I had a little apprehension because I hadn't seen a male gynecologist in more than 25 years. He was very personable, reassuring and compassionate. I would definitely feel comfortable continuing to see him if Dr. Friall isn't available. The nursing staff is AMAZING too. I love Adrienne and Carol!!!

I never write google reviews, but I'm extremely frustrated with NFWC. They're inconsistent in the quality of their care. I've seen wonderful doctors and PAs there who have certainly taken care of me, but I've also seen doctors that made me feel highly uncomfortable. During my last visit the doctor insisted I get a procedure done that I was not due for for two years, yet in the end I ended up having to pay for it becasue it wasn't covered. This doctor also MISSED a pretty prominent breast cyst I've had for a few years during the breast exam. I had to prompt him to check again, which makes me wonder how much he's missed with other women. Additionally, I changed insurances but they did not file my claim with my new insurance company, which gave me less than a weeks notice before the bill was due. Granted, the bill didn't come until three months after my appointment. I will not continue my care here.

This was so far the most unprofessional doctor's visit I've ever had. Don't even know where to start. I needed, among other things, a couple of simple tests, which I always got results during the appointment in other clinics. Here, they say wait a week for the results. Which also inevitably caused that I did not get any treatment for the most urgent and painful part of my issues. And I would not say I had not suffered enough already during a month I was waiting for my appointment (they have a long waiting list, which is surprising for the quality of services). Then, I got laughed at my issues by the doctor, who had no idea what is going on with me. As the result, I got an advice to keep taking off-the-counter painkillers which even I know should not ever be taken for more than three days in a row. And as the final point, after a week, my prescription that we agreed upon in the appointment is still not sent to the pharmacy. I suppose, he just forgot.

We moved to Tallahassee six months ago, and I began the search for new doctors for myself and my family. I was referred to North Florida Women's Center, and, not knowing the background on any of the physicians in this practice, I simply just requested a female doctor. I have seen Dr. McKinnie a couple of times, and each time she has made me feel like she's known me for years. Just very comfortable and genuine. Dr. McKinnie is so thorough and explains everything in a way that's easy for non-medical people to understand. She is very kind and reassuring, as well, and never makes you feel like you're asking too many questions. The office staff is very pleasant, and the two times I've visited North Florida Women's Center, the wait has been minimal. Very glad to have found this facility!

Came for my annual exam and was running late. Once I arrived I was seen very quickly, which I appreciated since I was late trying to find parking. Dr. Angela Jackson is super sweet and is always quick & efficient. Heads up, parking costs $1 for all those people like me who never have cash.

Your care is dependent on their call volume. Their call volume is always high, or maybe they just don't answer the phones, I don't know. Most people are nice when you meet them in person, so yes, the staff is nice, but if you actually have a problem, and don't just need a check up, you won't be able to rely on them. You won't be able to get in touch with them, you won't be able to make an appointment. You won't have any sort of relationship with your doctor. You'll end up using other doctors knowledge to patch holes in the information you have because they won't get back to you. You won't be able to follow up with where you prescriptions might be. If you look through the reviews, you'll see that anyone that had an actual issue, had to find another doctor to be treated. These people with these five star reviews must have the doctors' direct cell phone numbers or something because thats the only way I can imagine you'd get any feedback.

I love Dr. Friall, but she has gotten so busy that I can't get an appointment with her anymore. When I called to get an appointment, I was on hold for a long time to get through to the scheduler. Once I finally got through, they said that I couldn't schedule an appointment until I talked to billing, so they put me on hold for another forever. The billing agent was nice, but told me that she wasn't sure why the scheduler said she couldn't schedule an appointment because the message was just that I had a $7 balance on my account that I would need to pay at my next appointment. From there, I went back into the queue for the scheduler. After another forever on hold, I started to make an appointment, and made the mistake of asking about a prescription refill. Instead of going ahead and finishing with scheduling the appointment, the guy immediately transferred me into the hold queue for the nursing staff. I had a meeting to get to so I had to hang up. I then sent an appointment request through the patient portal with a note that I also needed a prescription refill. Two days later, I have an appointment scheduled for a different practitioner no where near the day or time I requested, and then a note to call the office about getting the prescription refill. Today, I called about the refill, and got an automated message that prescription refills must come through the patient portal. However, the link in the patient portal for requesting refills takes me to an outside vendor for nursing advice that requires a log in different from my patient portal log in. No way to get in, register, or even a "forgot password" option. Thankfully, my pharmacist was able to use their backdoor contact to get my refill ordered. Overall, North Florida Women's Care has gotten "too big for its britches." As much as I really like Dr. Friall, it's time to move on.
