Here you will see all the information of people like you who are using the services of Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital (Doctor) in the area close to Florida.
Now the firm gets a score of 4.2 stars out of 5 and this rating has been calculated on 320 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings is high, and it is founded on a very large number of opinions, so we may think that the rating is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to give their score when they've done well with the business, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to place feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Doctor corresponds to the category of Children\'s hospital.
I WANT TO VISIT THE CHILDREN HAS CANCER BUT DON'T LET ME SEE.
They were absolutely fantastic!!! State of the art facility, free valet parking, and incredible staff.
We have 3 kids, so we have been here a few times with several different kid injuries. All of our experience at every level has been VERY good. Nobody wants to go to the hospital, but if you have to, then I recommend this hospital.
Amazing hospital. Great educated and professional care. My baby was very taken care of and they treated my husband and I great. Free food for parents and parking. This is a 24/7 A+hospital
We had no wait the nurses and dr had so much patience and were so kind. It's very clean and they educate the parent well on diagnosis
Stay away from this hospital - drive the extra 30 minutes and take your child to Nicklaus Children's Hospital where they care about your child's illness and where you can find compassionate medical staff. This nightmare started on August 17th when my daughter was transferred as requested by her neurologist from West Boca Medial Center to Joe DiMaggio's due to multiple seizures. Upon arrival at the Joe DiMaggio's Emergency Room I was informed by the attending doctor, that there is no need for my daughter to be admitted to the hospital which I was completely unable to comprehend as the neurologist requested her transfer....? While she was put on monitoring my husband I were concerned about her vitals as her heart rate jumped from over 170 beats per minute down to 68 minutes per minute. No one seemed to care and we were informed, that the monitor was off. I could not believe it! Why do you even put a patient on it when it is not working???. After my daughter had a total of three seizures that day and the neurologist requesting for my daughter to be transferred to your hospital and you are telling me to go home? Does not make any sense... We were finally admitted and my daughter was put on an EEG which recorded the next day a total of 14 seizures and the following day a total of 2 seizures before getting discharged. Her current seizure medication was increased and another one added while some doctor implied, that my daughter was making this up.... During the discharge process my daughter complained, that she wasn't feeling good, and started to show rashes on her face and abdomen. However, we were sent home. The following day my daughter suffered from another severe seizure with limited left side body movement. This time we took her to Nicklaus Children's Hospital where we were admitted and stayed for over one week. Nicklaus Children's Hospital tried for 5 days to get the medical records (in particular the EEG) from Joe DiMaggio's and finally received them after the 5th day. While at Nicklaus Children's Hospital one stool sample showed, that our daughter got E.Coli (on top of everything) which she must have caught while at Joe DiMaggio's since she showed some signs of infection rash, nausea, etc. while there and complained, that one meal in particular (burger) tasted "funny". My daughter was diagnosed not only with two different forms of seizures, but also with Tachycardia which no one seemed to care about at Joe DiMaggio's as the monitors are just off.....If I could I would leave no star - the only one at this hospital who did a great job was the EEG technician Nancy. She was great - and I reward her with the star. Don't go there! Your child does not only receive the worst possible care (by not listening to your child and you as the parent, reading the vital signs incorrectly while alarms are going off and you being told to go home after they requested a transfer - your child may also catch E.Coli.....!
My wife had an accident recently and we had to rush to the ER, what can I say. Very impressive, she was treated like a royalty.
Not very good work environment everyone looks stressed out and is in fear of their job
Went in the ER with my 4 month old nephew on 1/2/19 at 1:30 pm was greeted very military style by a black security woman sitting at the front who didnt greet us just demanded we sign in on the computer and hand our id's to her this was all new to us no explanation how to use the sign in computer no compassion in her voice or attitude at all just a robot, mind you people are bringing in sick children we dont need a militant robot at the front , who ever she was she made the experience bad (check the shift they wear beige security uniforms) every other staff was perfect valet, emt's, nurses, students, drs perfect it was the black security woman who deserve the 1 star (I'm black also ) just didn't look at her to know her name so rude tbh
I have 2 daughters and both of them was born here. My youngest has had 2 open heart surgeries and when I say every person in that place was amazing. They made that very hard time for my family and I go as smooth as it could. I'm really sorry for those people who children had a bad experience there. Maybe they had a bad nurse on a bad day idk but I am having all my children there and that is the only hospital they will ever go too
Brought my 10mth in because his temp was 104. The staff was great! He was taken back immediately and given Motrin in triage to help bring his temp down. We spent almost 4hrs there because the doctors and nurses preformed a thorough examination and monitored him until he began to drink a little and the fever broke. I will gladly drive the 20mi to this hospital for my children any day!!
Don’t even think to come here, right now I’m with my daughter 12 yr old in the emergency room. With an extreme pain in abdominal right area, she is unable to walk, dizzy and with the worst pain ever. It’s a real emergency and after 1 hour or more not even a doctor come, them after an hour a half a doctor named Joseph came and really was once the real bad experience start. The doctor doesn’t believe my daughter. A real terrible experience.
The best hospital of the world, really great attention from the valet parking to the emergency all the team is awesome, the nurses are the best and the doctors too, so grateful for the incredible attentions !!!
Best hospital, the crew is amazing, nice job keep doing what you are doing.
This place is amazing.the staff is awesome.love the environment
Daughter was well taken care meanwhile she was on Anastasia. The staff are very nice and make shore the kids are happy and well taken care off. The environment is really nice even do the rooms are divide by curtains per patient. Each kid gets a small toy to play with so they don’t cry or to comfort them.
Amazing staff!
Very smooth visit. Everyone was very attentive and visit went well structured by the stuff.
Such an amazing hospital system to work!!
Everyone was attentive, met with the 3 surgeons who will be the heart surgery team for our granddaughter. Very, very informative and took the time to explain the procedure from start to hospital recovery care.
I think this hospital is amazing, plus the doctor’s and staff are saints.
Excellent staff, my daughter has a rare syndrome and they did everything they could to accommodate us. those nurses went above and beyond for us. I love it at this hospital, they show you that your health is their business, my number 1 choice for a children's hospital.
Very good doctors and nurses time for waiting is quickly
Me and my husband love Joe DiMaggio's we were there for a month, waiting to see if our son would have open heart surgery and yes he did; everytime we thought we could go,he would have a fever,or not eat or throw up, so he was elected for surgery on 10-3-2018 in which his little heart was patched up and he has been growing and thriving ever since. I want to Thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts. We were so blown away by the staff and the Dr's and the surgeon and his team. Our experience was outstanding. Our son birth weight was 5lb.08oz and when he was at Joe DiMaggio's his weight was at 7 lbs I think in the hospital he got to 10 lbs they did the surgery he is now at 13.9lbs and still growing.
We visited the this hospital today for a minor thumb surgery my 10 year old son needed. My whole family was blown away at the dedication and service that we witnessed during our visit. It started at the security check-in where it was fast and efficient. The check-in process in the outpatient surgery waiting area was fast and courteous. The nurses from the pre-op to post of were caring, friendly and showed concern for our sons feelings. We even got to meet "Nutmeg" the therapy dog who jumped in the bed with JP to give him some love. Our Doctor Randolph Cohen and anesthesiologist were professional, knowledgeable, and answered all our questions and concerns. I loved the fact that everyone made my son feel like his minor surgery was the important surgery of the day and really put his mind and our mind as ease. Thank you again from our family!!
I love Joe Dimaggio and all the doctors there. I have had great experiences with all of our son's doctors. Highly recommend.
It was an amazing experience!! I'm glad I went I don't think any hospital in Ohio or Michigan could've found out what was wrong with me! I would come back every time I have something wrong with me
This place is amazing, i went to other two hospital in hialeah and they send me home with my baby, allegating that what he had it was a alergic reaction or a virus like the cold, meanwhile he haded a bacteria growing on his right eye, and in this hospital they operated him so quickly as a emergency, and now he is doing so well, this amazing staff deserve 110% full of stars, they caughted the infection right on time and i'm glad they did, i love the way they treat their patients and the parents, i only have gratitude for what they have done..
I visited Joe DiMaggio on Dicember 5 with my 5 weeks old baby. She was having some breathing problems. I discribed to every person what was happening and instead of listened to me they treat me like I was first mom ( wish I wasnt). We stayed one night, nothing was done ( just an x-ray and a RSV virus exam). We were discharged the next morning ( VERY RUD DOCTOR) without a DIAGNOSTIC. Nothing was done to try to find why a 5 WEEKS OLD BABY was getting blue and no breathing episodes. We went home and she repeated the same episode. This time we went to another hospital where we find out she was having SEIZURES episodes, every time that she had an episode she couldn’t breathe and she was without oxigen. She stayed in PICU for 5 days.......soo please next time listen very carefully your patients, don’t treat everyone like the same. DO NOT ASSUME!!!!
Nice people work here.
Perfect organization and very friendly and helpfull staff!!! No waiting time! Best Greetings from our happy Lucy Baby from Germany :-)
Could not be more happy and greatful to have my daughter in this hospital. The NICU its amazing their doctors, nurses and staff in general.I wish I could give them 10 stars !!!!
UPDATE: it has been over 2 weeks and no one from administration has reached out to me regarding my experience. Bc of the treatment I will never step foot in ANY memorial hospital. Throw the entire hospital in trash!!!! My review has no reflection on the wonderful Dr who took care of my daughter for her surgery; however, I am leaving this review bc of the unprofessional, insensitive and disrespectful nurse by the name of Alison Cavalli. She stereotyped me from the moment I entered recovery. She showed no compassion or sympathy for the way my 18 month reacted when waking up from anesthesia. I found her to be very rough with my daughter and snippy.... If I ever came across as rude or disrespectful towards Alison, she should’ve simply walked away instead of challenging me to a shouting match— in front of staff & other patients, but more importantly my irritable 18 month old; telling me that I should go home and she would discharge me (verbatim). At this point I felt abandoned... When I told her that I would be reporting her, she responded back “report me” as if nothing would be done for her behavior. Makes me wonder how many times she has gotten away with this type of behavior with others. It is total disrespect and I am disgusted for the way I was treated. For example, I asked for tissue for my daughters nose and she said to use the gauze until she “could find some tissues for me”. I was appalled. Mind you, this Alison lady was training a new hire. Basically, she is letting this new hire think that it is ok to treat patients the way she treated me. My experience at Joe DiMaggio was phenomenal from valet, to security to registration to pre-op up until I got to recovery. This monster should never be allowed to work with pediatric patients again. If it were my choice she would be fired. Nurses like her don’t deserve another chance. I will be filing a complaint with the Board of Nursing for her negligence and bedside rudeness as well as discrimination. Alison picked the RIGHT mother. I pray no one ever gets treated/embarrassed the why she treated/embarrassed me. An experience I’ll never forget. Signed, momma Bear!
My daughter had an appointment at this hospital on 4/4/18. While waiting, i was advised that my daughter could go and visit the play area. So her and i go over to meet thee most obnoxious and racist causian woman i have ever meet in my entire life! She was an older lady and i believe her name was Carol. Well Carol an employee of Joe Dimaggio (who seems to be the director of the play area) had the most condesending attitude and only zeroed in and commitmented on what my African American child was doing in the play area. Everything my daughter was doing she had an issue with. Example, they have a dark vader toy in the play area, which she told my daughter not to touch. My question is why is there a toy in a play area that kids cannot touch? Oh wait.... from my understanding only african american kids cannot touch the toy because i witnessed causian kids coming in and playing with the exact same toy but was not told anything. In addition, She did not advise on the different activites the play area offered ex. Coloring, watching a movie on the tv, among other things. The only time i was aware there where other things to do was when other Causian people came into the area and where offered choices on things to do and the parents where offered coffee and cookies WHILE of course i was offered nothing. I also witnessed her treating other african american staff poorly. I ADVISE all African-American parents NEVER to visit the play area with your kids. You will be treated horribly by a Old white racist causian lady. Classic wolf in sheeps clothing. BEWARE and STAY AWAY!
It is a great place and the staff is great. My brother was well treated for and they were great to my family. I couldn't ask for a better place for my brother to go.
Amazing staff took great care of us quickly!
Amazing service, very happy with the way they treated us... they are specialized for kids and give them 110% of their knowledge and experience
Shouldn't even give 1 star This doctor was awful. She recommends things and doesn't listen..
I took the best choice when I went to give birth there. From the first moment I arrived, they treated me quickly and efficiently. They make you feel safe in such a decisive moment for one who is bringing a baby to the world. At least that was how it was for me that I was a first-time mother. I am very grateful to all the hospital team even though I can’t name someone specific because there were many people who took care of me and my baby. We only had good experiences. Thank you very much!
Excellent care !!!!! From the moment I placed a call from Memoral West emergency , a desperate mom to transfer my child to Joe DiMagio Children’s hospital after 10 hours not knowing what was wrong with her . I personally called spoke to Dan who had the patience to listen and made the transfer possible . My daughter room was ready and nurses and doctors immediately took charge in the care and found what was wrong with her . The room 3524 on feb 13 as she was admitted . Nurse Denise an amazing professional nurse who received us doing that morning . Nurse Kathy in the evening also amazing , caring and professional . Ultrasound tech who found where the pain was coming from . Doctor Diagnose inflammation appendicitis . As my daughter also had the flu . No time wasted surgery had to take place . Doctor Long and staff made sure it was done even under the circumstances of my daughters condition battleing the flu . The assurance , the kindness , their ability of knowing their profession may me know I did the right decision in transferring my daughter. My gratitude ,to all here will forever be.. thank you , thank for living your profession , thank for all that was done . Everyone there deserves recognition . As a mom I am , I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
Back in February, my 15 year old son had surgery here to remove his left hypo-plastic kidney. There's not a single negative thing to say about this hospital. From the Doctors to the cafeteria, everyone was super nice to me and my family. We continue to follow up w/ his Dr here, even when it's over an hour drive for us.
Waited for 4 hours in Er to get stitches for my daughter. I hope they are not doing this to charge more.
This hospital is the best in the state for kids and trust me I have checked the others. Excellent doctors and nurses this place is geared for our kids. We travel from Palm Beach County just to come here and would go no where else. Wish there was one in our county
In December 2015, my 2-year old son came in for an adenoidectomy and tonsillectomy. Both procedures were prepaid prior to the day of surgery. The day of the surgery, we specifically told the anesthesiologist that we did not want a controversial drug called Dilaudid to be administered post-surgery. The second my son woke up from the surgery crying, the nurse administered Dilaudid without consulting my husband or I. When we asked what she just gave him, her answer was "It's stronger than Morphine." My son stopped breathing on his own and was hooked up to an oxygen machine. We had to continuously smack him on the back to take a breath. When his breath began slowing and setting off the alarms, we were sent to the ICU for observation. On our way to the ICU, we heard the nurses talking amongst themselves that he should have never been given Dilaudid because this is exactly what happens. He is too young. Later in the afternoon, the medicine wore off and my son was back to his normal self. However, they made us spend the night in the ICU for "observation." I filed a complaint with the hospital shortly thereafter. They determined that they did nothing wrong. Two weeks later I received over $35k worth of bills from the hospital. I called the hospital and was told it was a mistake and I only owed an additional $1,325 for the overnight observation. By paying, they confirmed that this would close my account. Two months ago (nearly 1.5 years later), I received a collections notice for $4,706. I contacted the hospital, spoke to the Director of Patient Financial Services, Janine Lettman, and was told she would look into it and contact me the following day. I never heard from her. To date, I have left her numerous voicemails and emails. She will not return my calls. When I call the main billing line, they tell me to handle it with the collections agency. I have already paid this and the itemized bills will prove this!
I had to take my son here for dental surgery. We were extremely nervous about how everything would go. From the moment we walked in (after we had our car complementarily vale parked) we were greeted with friendly staff. Once pointed in the right direction we were then admitted to his waiting room they had a play area for kids and that helped him relax. Once it was time for the procedure his anesthesiologist and doctor talked with us, explained how it would go and really helped calm our nerves. Even post procedure the staff was very courteous and kept checking in on him. My son was good to go in a matter of hours with minimal pain! I am very grateful that the staff were so patient and watchful with him! It's a shame this hospital has such bad reviews over one case. I would truly recommend this hospital to anyone!
Very Good! The Food Is Great! Its Kinda Fun To Play On The Wii!
I will never come come back. You have to wait for sooooo long in the ER(7hours) before they can take your child upstairs. Doctors don't care if you're going to work in the morning. Worst ER ever.
We had an amazing experience in Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. My son had a cyst removal surgery. All nurses and doctors, everyone was super nice. We've never been waiting for long. Very professional.
I would like to take a few minutes to extend my utmost gratitude for all of the staff at Joe DiMaggios Children's Hospital. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. I recently had to bring my son in through their emergency department. I was greeted by the friendly ladies at the front desk who immediately assessed my son's condition and brought him to triage. From the time we walked in the door until the time he was evaluated by a nurse and an ER doctor, was 8 minutes. 8 MINUTES! That is unheard of! It was so quick. The nurses who were treating him knew he was scared and were so thoughtful in their actions and words. He had stuffed animals and popsicles brought to him by the caring nursing staff. He was admitted and we got into our own room within an hour of walking in the door. The nurses on his floor, floor 3 of the inpatient rooms, were top notch. They were extremely knowledgeable and dedicated. I cannot say more wonderful things about the entire staff that took care of my son. I will be forever grateful for all of the nurses and doctors involved. This place is amazing and I know why they are rated among the top in the country. I cannot thank everyone enough for the outstanding care at this hospital.
Took my child today because she had a fever nurses were nice but a woman im assuming was the doctor ( indian ladie with dark grayish hair ) came in off rip her energy is OFF basically i explained to her what was going on with my daughter. She started basically explaining to me what what symptoms my child would be having due to her having an ear infection and how she might not want to eat so i politely interrupted just to let her know that my child was eating completely fine, and mid sentence this woman had the nerve to cut me off and said RUDELY “ LET ME FINISH “. I decided to brush it off and let her speak. She stepped out with the nurse , the first nurse came back about 10 minutes later but at this point i couldnt even contain my frusteration. I told her i had an issue with the woman who was their earlier as she was RUDE. The nurse handed me the discharge papers but i had to ask her again about who would i have to speak to regarding the care experience. She returned with the nurse and the doctor , who apologized after i told her how she was rude and needed to learn how to talk to people. Its ridiculouis how much our insurances get billed to have to deal with rude doctors, i came here because my daughter was sick not to be mistreated.
Regarding ER Dr. Stephen Mathew MD I am sorry to give a bad review. I come from a family full of physicians And I have never experienced such bad bedside manners and lack of empathy with the patient and/or family. As Dr. Mathew should know, otitis media can get complicated with such dreaded things as hearing loss, mastoiditis, temporal abscess, meningitis, etc. if not treated properly, so obviously I am concerned. Therefore, after the third day of being started on antibiotics, and my son still having bad ear ache, complaining of nausea and looking sick, I took him for re-evaluation and Dr. Mathew evaluated him. Basically, he told me the ear is still red but to keep waiting. Today (2 days after Dr. Mathew’s evaluation) I took him back to a doctor (different doctor) because he still has ear ache and now have episodes of dizziness. The doctor advised that the infection is till active and prescribed a different antibiotic and added ear drops for otitis externa. I just want to leave a feedback for Dr. Mathew because every action have consequences and I would certainly do not want to see complications of otitis media on my son on an era of antibiotics and after I was diligent in sharing with him my concerns.

What an incredible hospital. We are in florida on vacation and had an incident that required us going to the ER and being admitted over night. I can't say enough great things about the entire experience from the moment we walked in to the minute we were discharged. Every single staff person was incredible. The hospital is beautiful, the rooms are beautiful. All the staff truly cared and werent there just to do their job like lots of other hospitals we had experience with. I will forever be grateful
We live 2 hours away and needed to have a baby sitter to watch the kids for the day so we could have are sun looked at. After getting to the office we where told we wouldn't be able to see the doctor because the staffing waited to long to get us checked in. I can't believe the lack of respect! No one should have to drive for 2 hours one way and just be sent away like that.
Best hospital ever !! Had my baby there and i was born there, they are the best....i had lobster and extra large shrimp the best ceaser salad of my life ,while staying there. THE best service, smartest Dr´s, Just the best service possible. My mom has had several stents put in here. This hospital is clean and A1 services....
I have taken my son 3 times to Emergency and he has always seen the same Dr. Hector Chavez, has a cold attitude and his diagnosis is always the same (virus), nothing professional. I go there because it is the closest, but the attention is bad.
THEY ARE HORRIBLE EMERGENCY ROOM STAFF DON'T GIVE A DAMN... FIRST TIME HERE WITH A CHILD, SHORTNESS OF BREATH AND THE MANAGER ANNOUNCES TO HAVE A SEAT AND ONLY 20 BEDS AVAILABLE. DON'T BRING YOUR KID TO THIS PLACE . NO STARS HORRIBLE OVERALL
i was waiting in the ER for my brother while i could of been at home eating a big Burger
Today being here with our daughter for her surgery was stressful. Getting out of the car and every interaction we had reduced that stress and a few hours later we are heading home. We are so happy we chose Joe DiMaggio children hospital for this procedure and can't thank the staff enough. God Bless everyone here and if there comes a time and your in need of a place for your child this is the only place we would ever recommend.
best place, I wouldn't trust any other hospital with my babies!
I have brought my son for audiology testing and emergencies and the service has always been courteous and quick. The staff was very gentle with my screaming toddler and attentive and informative to me as a nervous parent.
My son was hospitalized for 7 days and that is never a good situation; however, we had quite a pleasant stay considering the circumstances. Many of the nurses were so caring and considerate and they attempted to cater to our every request. When we moved him out of ICU, Grace even walked us to our new room along with the folks with the carts, that to us meant a lot. Ray, Amanda, Ingrid (who let us know where we can get coffee, ice cream & goodies), Moe, Irma, Alexis and again Grace (oh, and another pregnant nurse, I think Angie) were magnificent. Even Maria who cleaner our room was pleasant. The Dietitian, a young lady also went out of her way to accommodate us and found extra information for our concerns going above and beyond (Gosh, I wish I could remember her name). Dr. Adler and Irma's bosses were also excellent. There were more, but those are the people that stand out the most and we are very grateful to you all! Phil, Camila & Emmanuel
Both of my girls have been admitted a few times over the last 7 years. I don't understand the bad post. We have always received the best service ever. Never a bad nurse or Doctor. Everyone was always so kind and caring. I won't take my kids any where else. Keep up the great work.
Had only bad experiences at this place. They are always late sometimes over a couple hours and have a really unfriendly attitude. On top of that I feel they try to get as much money as they can, I have health insurance for all my family but somehow they tried not taking it using the excuse that they can't reach my insurance over the phone (blue cross blue shield) very unprofessional. Last visit I was charge over $400 for speech therapy for my son by somebody that did not even talk to my son once during the appointment and suggested unnecessary surgery without seeing my child.... Like I said very unprofessional and bad attitude from the staff ... definitely try some other places before visiting them, they could not even get the valet parking right as my truck was damaged in their lot.
Very good Hospital great staff and great service!!! 5 stars all the way!!
This hospital saved our 2.5 week olds life. We went through the ER where the immediate care was incredible then spent three weeks in the hospital consequently. Our nurses, doctors, and staff were caring, thorough, and very detailed in his car. We’re forever grateful.
So my nephew had a heart surgery, the staff was incredible, the doctors super attentive and thanks God the surgery went well. This is a great hospital probably one of the best in the world.
I live in West Palm Beach FL but we travel to Hollywood for the great doctors and service given at Joe DiMaggio. I am so disappointed in seeing people abuse this review system. You could wait in ANY ER for 4 hours and 20 minutes but specially when you are at a specialty hospital that people travel the world to bring their kids to get well. I am sure the CHILDREN before were of a much more urgent matter.
Absolutely ridiculous billing procedures. They charge over one thousand times the norm for hospital billing. They won't tell you it's time to get out and then proceed to billing thousands and thousands extra for "additional half hour of recovery time". They offered. Y wife a blanket cause they keep it freeing in the waiting room, 150 dollars... We were asked to pay in advance for a single prescription of 1/4 bottle of some liquid they call children's pain killer, we paid, and still got a bill for $4000 yes that's four thousand dollars for "pharmacy medications" People, this was an outpatient procedure that my son had, we were in at 9:30 AM and out by 2 pm. The bill was over 20 thousands of dollars. I sincerely give my heart out to those of you with no insurance like me andake the mistake of taking your child to this hospital. They will make you pay for the rest of your life.
This is one of the best hospitals! I have no complaints. The staff are always so caring and kind. thank you for everything you do!
Baby Girl had surgery there and she was very well taken care of SPECIALLY her night RN in 4South PICU, Amanda. Thank you for being so attentive and taking the initiative with her pain management. You were easy to talk to and you were always asking us if we needed anything. I knew my baby girl was in GREAT HANDS!!
the attention is amazing , best staff , great customer service , my daughter got ear tubes surgery with Dr.samuel osterower I felt so comfortable , I knew I could trust him , just the way he approach her , I new she trust him, he made her laugh , kids don't like doctor , they have good memory , she tells me , mami he's nice . hes the best doctor. love this place
Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital is the best! My 7 year old daughter loves the friendly staff and welcoming environment. The care givers excel at providing kid-friendly care. We always choose Joe D. for any of our pediatric emergencies and outpatient services.
My needs were not satisfied here. My sister was getting surgery done and I was not allowed to stay. I had to go home by myself and worried sick about my sister. I should be able so support my sister in her surgery instead of feeling worthless and staying home. My mom is a single mom and its only the 3 of us. It was either we leave my sister alone or I go home by myself. I felt as if this decision was rude and not necessary.
Great staff
Everyone was wonderful! Nurses were very caring and helpful...the serge was great, quick and painless! My son needed his circumcision and we got the run a round for 2 1/2 months between insurance, referrals, and doctors that refused to do it
Today I Had An Amazing Experience As A First Timer. Joe Dimaggio Hospital Was Highly Recommended. The Staff Took Great Care Of My Daughter Today. They Were Very Friendly. I Never Been So Satifsy By A Hospital Like Today. It Was Definitely Worth the Drive. You Guys Are Awesome! Thank You
I am impressedd. It is very unusual to find this great costumer service in South Florida. My son was breathing heavely friday night we got to the hospital around 11pm, the waiting room was packed with patients and after asking Nathalie (ER nurse) how many patients were ahead of us she checked my son and took us in to be see by the doctor. From that moment on I want to thank everyone for your amazing human service. We were treated as humans not as patients. Nathalie Dra. Clayton ER Chief nurse (I don't remember your name) sorry 4th floor Christelle Lisa Jeorge Chief Nurse (I don't remember you name) sorry Dr. Ron Thank you thank you thank you We are very grateful.
ummm. So this place saved my life. yea soooo i recommend this hospital.
Very friendly staff. Beautiful, welcoming facilities. Reasonable (or better) waits. My children feel comfortable when we come here.
I think any of joe di maggio Hospitals are amazing. Worth the trip from anywhere. The pediatric staff and hospital overall are all outstanding. Ill highly recommend this place. They should have more hospitals like this in Miami.
My daughter has had 3 surgeries at this hospital. The care and loving support they provided my daughter, and to all of us, was excellent. I can't speak highly enough about this facility. Amazing!
I have to say this- I can't wish for better place , personal!!!! Thank you to all of those people who work this hard to make this hospital so great! If there is more stars I will give it to them all!!!! Thank you
My wife and I brought our newborn baby boy to the emergency room. All the nurses, doctors and even the security guards were so sweet and kind to us. It truly felt like Everyone was on our team and was willing to work hard to accommodate our needs with the fact that we wanted to avoid staying in the hospital over shabbos and to ensure we were comfortable and cared for. It was a scary time for us to have to bring a 4 day old baby to the emergency room, but it was actually a tremendously positive experience!! The level of professionalism and politeness was amazing. Everyone helped us and I felt fully informed. The doctors and nurses answered all our questions patiently. I hope I never have to come back, but if I do I feel so confident that Joe DiMaggio children's hospital is a place where I'll feel warm welcomed and taken care of. I'm not sure what you're doing to ensure such a high level of professionalism and customer service, but it's working! Thank you all so much for your help, we really can't thank you enough!
I gave it one star ⭐️ because I've never visited the hospital but my daughter was born a bladder exstrophy and I'm looking for a second opinion. She's always experiencing pain in the area where they've operated and I've heard this is a very good hospital.
Unfortunately, I can say I have spent alot of time at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. I will say that my son and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Joe D's. We love the doctors and nurses and the entire staff. Our home away from home!
Best experience ever.. love this hospital. My daughter had plastic surgery and the staff were very nice and very professional during Zoe visit. High skilled doctors and nurses

I visited the ER on Friday 11/30/2018 with my kid. The crew was super polite but UN-professional service from a doctor that didn't care about finding the problem. The doctor only cared about getting us out of there ASAP!!! didn't do blood test or Urine test, didn't get any discharge letter or prescription for my kid. ?????
Was born 15 years ago
This hospital and their staff saved my life, I was in a severe car accident, was kept in a medically induced coma for 11 days, fractured my ribs some of the vertebrae of my back, my lungs collapsed, rupture my large intestine. And also had several microfractures in my face and they put steel pins and screws in my nose. I am so grateful this hospital was located where it is and and the medical response team and the entire unit of the hospital took care of me the way they did.
I had laparoscopic hernia surgery here almost two years ago. Very nice hospital with very caring and comforting staff. They fixed everything and I am completely fine now. 10/10 recommend this hospital.
Everytime I have came here I received quick and friendly services from all the nurses , I have a now 3 year old son I am his father and he's my 2 feet and a half size world.great place to take your kids to be treated , mines had a ear infection and unfortunately picked ups scabies with his mother and they where able to help both unfortunate situations.
The service my nephew is getting is amazing, no child left behind... They are the true heroes!!!
Very clean and friendly staff
ER is horrible. I do not know about the rest of the hospital but my experience in the ER was terrible. It’s hard enough when your kid is sick and then to have to deal with mediocre care. It’s nothing like Miami Children. Hopefully they work on improving the ER
Very good hospital for kids the services is so great and the services is great and love this place
Great staff, great environment for children and exceptional doctors. Couldn't ask for more.
Best place for all kids!!! They make thier life work for the children to feel happy, loved, and needed.
Terrible I’ve been here more than 4 times because my son has had a fever for 2 weeks on and off with vomiting and diarrhea and all they kept telling me is he has a viral infection. What’s even crazy it’s the fact that I am an memorial employee
I love this hospital and everyone is friendly
Excellent FL hospital for kids. Looked after my son so well. Thanks to the great team there. Would certainly use them again and recommend them to friends and family.
THE BEST HOSPITAL I HAVE EVER BEEN TO IN MY LIFE THEY GAVE MY BABY TOYS COLORING BOOKS MINNIE MOUSE PILLOW CASES ANYTHING SHE WANTED TO EAT THEY MADE THIS STRESSFUL EXPERIENCE HEART WARM AND RELAXING
Since we got there the experience was the best you can expected. The nurses really care about you. Definitely I will choose again. Thank you Joe Di-Maggio Hospital Staff.
Went to the ER For help to diagnose a concussion for my daughter. The doctor barely check my daughter, not one neurological exam, only recommendation to do a CT, just because. I thought going there will give me a little peace of mind but was the opposite.
An urgent care took an X-ray and said we needed to to go the hospital. We chose Joe DiMaggio on a Thursday evening. We were in the back in 5 minutes and seen almost immediately. They did not waste my time or money with additional xrays etc. EVERYONE was exceptionally nice and helpful. Great experience. 100%
"Dr Steve Bibevski MD and staff extremely knowledgeable and professional. My daughter has had heart surgery for a month there no complaint so far .
My daughter was transferred from Wellington Regional the last few days of March. At one month old she had a PDA ligation(she was born at 27 Weeks) From the time me and her dad got there, we were treated with respect and great information was provided to us from nurses and doctors about our child’s surgery and recovery! Steven from NICU went above & beyond for our angel and so did the doctor who did her surgery( I can’t exactly remember his name) but we had an extremely pleasant experience despite having to be there 3 hours away from home. Everyone was very resourceful and nice! I also loved the security measures the hospital has to go into the NICU!! The only issue is parking which is far from main entrance and how all beds/incubators are very tight in the divided NICU rooms. But other than that everything was just perfect! Thank You Joe D for saving my baby’s life. She is now a thriving soon to be 7 month old
In 2008 this hospital saved my son's life. Ten years later it's a mess. Disorganized, third world nursing staff and doctors that make you want to ask for proof of a medical degree. Try a different hospital for your child, this one is not what it used to be.
This hospital and staff was great! They talked us through everything and eased our fears before my sons surgery. Once complete they showed us a picture of his appendix (which he thought was cool) The hospital was super nice and friendly. The nurses were generous and caring. I couldn't ask for a better experience.
They say that this is supposed to be the best children’s hospital when in fact it’s by far the worst hospital I have ever been to and now if my daughter wasn’t forcefully born here due to her prematurity I would’ve definitely seeked another hospital, ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE. My daughter is currently back in the hospital not only does she have her own situation going on she has to room up with some that has more health issues than she does and she can’t sleep comfortably or long due to the lack of respect the nurses don’t have. Every time she goes to sleep she’s crying and moaning because she can’t rest due to the high level of noise she’s not used to, we’re being told that there’s absolutely no other rooms available. I cannot wait to get in touch with the director of this hospital, staff is very poor on mannerisms. Highly unsatisfied!
Couldn’t have asked for better care for my 2 year old son. Awesome team, doctors, as well as nurses and students. We felt in good hands from the moment we walked in, until we were discharged a few days later. Totally recommend this hospital.
While in kindergarten, my son had an episode with childhood asthma that quickly turned into pneumonia. I brought Clayton to Holy Cross Hospital where he was born before he was immediately transferred to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. I cannot say enough nice things about the staff who treated my son. They went above and beyond to make a scary situation easier while giving him top-notch medical care. I am thrilled to report that Clayton is now a healthy, active, soon to be sophomore in high school. And while I hope not to need their services again, I highly recommend Joe DiMaggio’s.
Usually I am such a fan of Joe D, but today's Experience was abysmal. From the rude radiology front Desk staff to a crazy telepathon in the middle of the hallway, the radiologist made me feel stupid for having to bring my other daughter back (she needed a re-scan when the images from Memorial West weren't good enough. There's a reason I avoid this radiology department as much as possible Memorial West group is so much better! Even the Valet was on fire as he blew up at people who didn't give him tips. By the way their first floor bathrooms are super poorly marked they're past the elevator. Not that the nasty radiology front lady could even take the time to tell me where they were...found them myself. Unfortunately I'm stuck coming here occasionally. But I can't believe this issue in such a great hospital persists.
Great organization. Dr.Golman, Rebecca and Jason were friendly and caring.
This hospital and the doctor saved my newborn's life!
My son broke his arm and the staff was amazing. Great atmosphere when I walked in. Staff was amazing and professional.
Came in a middle of the night, couldn’t find parking, valet jork wasn’t help at all. Personnel was nice and helpful though, but doc kept us waiting for more then three hours after making a determination, apparently thinking since he doesn’t have to sleep patients don’t need too.. Will think twice before coming here again...
I always read the reviews befor taking my kid somewhere. The low rating did not sit well with me. But after reading reviews I took a chance. People who gave bad review did it because of a bay and a court ordered surgery. We took my child there to do an ultrasound. It was very nice and clean. Everyone was making her comfortable, big smiles, super friendly. The treasure chest was a talk of the month. Hope we never have to go to the hospital again but if we do, this is the place to take your kid.
We had an a great experience when we took our baby to the ER. Everyone was so friendly..from the registration desk to the DR and nurses, everyone made us feel like they truly cared. They made a really stressful situation less stressful. I highly recommend this hospital.
Let it be known that when I was 2 years old and broke my leg, my parents took me to Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital and Dr. Michael H Jofe left me permanently scarred on my inner thigh due to his own negligence. A burn scar 3 inches long, one inch wide from incorrectly applying the cast. To this day, I still have this scar, and when my parents reflect on that day, the one thing that sticks out is his lack of sympathy towards me and my family. He never came out to tell my parents what happened. There was no apology for his mistake. He just left with a nasty attitude. Although I'm sure he thanks his lucky stars that my parents never sued, I will be filing a complaint with the state medical board. It disgusts me that when I was a mear 2 year old, Dr. Michael H Jofe did this to me and never had the courage to even apologize for what he did, or face any disciplinary action. Parents be warned about allowing this monster to get ahold of your children. -Noora Nota. Formally known as Noora Sharifeh, in case Dr. Jofe needs a memory refresher.
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING !!!!
Even tho most of the staff was nice, the problem didn't get resolved Just a temporary fix The doctor tried to tell me not to feed my child basically because he kept getting constipated. Mfs think they know it all and over talk you Overrated ER. Oh and the front desk as well as security was so unprofessional. Stop talking about your private life til the patients go in the back. Sheesh!
I love this place my child has always the best service.
It's crazy and bizarre to me,how some people can sit and write such horrible things about such a wonderful hospital. January 21st 2016 was one of the most terrifying days of my life. My 11-year-old son was diagnosed with ALL leukemia
Very well equipped in this hospital. Plenty of "well trained" and "professional" staff. A word of advice though...... If you admit your child, be prepared to pretty much agree with anything the doctor recommends. If you dont, they are "trained" to inform you that they will call CHILD SERVICES on you, regardless of what you would like to do or what you believe. I felt bullied and like my rights were possibly violated. I felt like the doctor did not take the time to explain to me why a certain procedure was so desparately and immediately needed. I didn't want to put my child through any more stress at that time. I didn't feel like my child was in mortal danger. The doctor did not speak of any other options to us or show any care for my concerns or how i felt. The doctor just told us what he/she wanted to do and when talk about trying something else was put into the air, he/she mentioned CPS. They will be very polite about it. There will be no compromises. I can only assume most hospitals in florida are exactly the same. I know some people will disagree with what i wrote. Please, don't be close minded about what i wrote. I'm sure this will benefit some people.
I was there twice with my son. First time was good second time horrible. Instead focusing of what my baby was there for they started to bring a bunch of doctors consult and other things that were not necessary at all. Of course I have private insurance. My son was hospitalized again but this time I took him to miami children’s hospital. The best hospital in miami he is much better thank God. I’m glad I had another option these time. Very disappointed with Joe Di Maggios Doctors!!! Nurses are very sweet. I’m still working on my letter for the CEO of the hospital I hope he will read all the reasons why I wouldn’t recommend any of my family and friends to take their babies to these location.
My 6 yr old son just had an MRI under anesthesia and the entire staff was wonderful! We loved all the nurses & the anesthesiologist. Great hospital!!
My son was on life support during Christmas time to new year 2017-2018 and they discovered he had myasthenia gravis and treated it that year. The symptoms came back this year January 2019 and they are treating it and already seeing great improvement.Look God uses doctors and there are no perfert Hospital but joe DiMaggio children is one of the best Hospitals in the USA...period!!! they seek the solution and get the job done.Thank you Doctors and staff of Joe DiMaggio children's hospital..they are so friendly even under stress they still answer our questions in the most caring understanding way.please give this hospital a try you will not be disappointed.
Me and my kids love this hospital. Very time they get sick bring them to ER. The staff are very great and nice hopeful. All the Dr. are get there. I would bring them there any time.
They make you feel at home and they understand your needs
I visited the ER on Friday 11/30/2018 with my kid. The crew was super polite but UN-professional service from a doctor that didn't care about finding the problem. The doctor only cared about getting us out of there ASAP!!! didn't do blood test or Urine test, didn't get any discharge letter or prescription for my kid. ?????
This hospital and their staff saved my life, I was in a severe car accident, was kept in a medically induced coma for 11 days, fractured my ribs some of the vertebrae of my back, my lungs collapsed, rupture my large intestine. And also had several microfractures in my face and they put steel pins and screws in my nose. I am so grateful this hospital was located where it is and and the medical response team and the entire unit of the hospital took care of me the way they did.
Terrible I’ve been here more than 4 times because my son has had a fever for 2 weeks on and off with vomiting and diarrhea and all they kept telling me is he has a viral infection. What’s even crazy it’s the fact that I am an memorial employee

Great hospital with great staff
My 4 year old daughter went in for Imaging of her stomach and staff member Gladys showed utmost compassion. Made my daughter feel at ease by letting her know once finished she would have a prize waiting for her and she loved her doctor bear and barbie set! Thank You Gladys job well done!!
Great staff. Highly experienced doctors.
My son was very sick while on vacation and this was one of the most amazing hospitals ive ever been too. Wonderful, caring staff took great care of my son and did anything to make him feel comfortable and relaxed. Amazing experience.
My son now 7 has SS sicklecell disease and has been going here for years. Home away from home, some great nurse has been there since his birth. I don't like coffee break room..coffee machine yucky!
This is going to be my second review here also the second one regarding the memorial and emergency room. As explained in the others review more than a month ago I took my daughter to emergency room as any pediatrician has helped me. I keep explaining symptoms and they just keep finding excuse or just refusing to do exams or they don't even know what exams I suggest ( recommended by other doctors). I took her to the hospital as she kept having attacks as I call them ( they are no tantrums as the super professional doctor at the Er suggested, also is not because of terrible 2 or jealousy) after having problems at the er described in the previous review they told me she has acute sinus etc something not new ( never helped me with the attacks). After the problems at the er and the review one of the director of the memorial suggest me to see a pediatric ent ... I was trying to reach them from the previous weeks but as the director was involved they had weirldly had room for my doughter next week. Went to the visit and my doughter is losing her hearing, nurse and doctor suggested a surgery, I repetitively asked for a NASAL SWAB that was DENIED again because not enough mucus ( there is no need to have boogies coming out to have a nasal swab) they're only thing was surgery and that's it... I schedule surgery for more than a month because I refuse to do surgery without knowing why all the recurrent sinusitis. I paid out of pocket for a basic swab in a laboratory. I didn't even know but the results where sent to her pediatrician who has never called me . She has 2 bacteria acinetobacter lwoffii and corynebacterium . I called ent and explain that I did myself what they should have done before doing surgery and request again to redo testing a complete one . And asked what could have happened if she got surgery ! One of the most obvious answer is dying ! They had to review the documents and called me back. They did called me back but could not answer.... call them back and never answer or they never tried to reach me again. Just to add I explained that she has been in antibiotics so many times in shorts amount of time and never resolved. This bacteria is not curable with normal antibiotics and worst of all SHE GOT IT FROM THE HOSPITAL ,that bacteria is found only in hospital from something they inserted in the nose or mouth not properly sterilized! This whole complex is disgusting and no one should be having a license of doctor or nurse ! What would have happened to my doughter ? Easy just to schedule a 20 minutes surgery because they get more money from the insurance that actually find the best for they're patients!!! My doughter is still sick and losing her hearing and now I have to change pediatrician and hospital so more time spent with her sick and who knows the consequences . Thanks to the best hospitals right ?!
Nurses and doctors are good here
Just today we've made our second visit to this hospital in 6 months for an outpatient procedure for my son and it was a great experience for the second time. I asked a nurse why there were so many negative reviews, which all seem to be about this one case, and it appears most of these people reviewing have not even taken their child here. They are "sheeple" campaigning on someone's behalf and misinformed. The nurse was adamant that the surgery was never performed, and yet most of these reviews suggest otherwise. I think if you have a child who needs care you would be well served by ignoring comments from people about that case.
I wish I could give the hospital zero stars. My husband and I found our 2 month old son pale grey, unresponsive and not breathing this evening. His arms and legs were limp, we opened his eyelids with no response and shook his belly. We were finally able to snap him out of it and we took him to Joe DiMaggio’s ER. The parking was terrible and located on the opposite side of the building. (They do offer free valet, however the valet attendants were arguing and one sped off angry in a patients car - so no valet for us) Not a huge issue, however this was only the beginning of our problems. The doctor who came to see our son knew absolutely nothing. It was as if she had never been to medical school. We told her our story in detail and she simply brushed it off like it was no big deal. She gave him a routine exam and said he looked healthy so he could go home. I’m sorry, my child was not BREATHING... and her advice was to just watch him closely
The care for my son has been nothing but the best! The nurses in the NICU are incredible. My son has received the best care and we are very happy with his progress at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital!!!
Best Hospital ever. Miami children's Hospital totally over looked the facts of my son's case gave an ultrasound and said he needed to do a big #2...well come to find out that same ultrasound that they looked at showed my son's tumor before it reached stage 4 liver cancer that moved to his lungs...thank God we came here because if we didn't my son would have died. Now I have a super happy & healthy 2 year that I get to see grow into a man.
2nd time here and I have to say, this is hands down the best hospital. They are very attentive to the child AND the parent and the service is just so quick it blows my mind. The doctors are so hands on, my son loves them because they take the time
They treat the whole family, not just the patient. The doctors, nurses, and staff are all wonderful and became a second family to us. They are very knowledgeable and take time to explain conditions and procedures and answer any questions. I would recommend anyone to bring their child to this hospital!
Where do I begin? From the time I walked in, to the time I walked out it was horrible. This hospital advertises, and portray images of having, and caring for patients with ASD. Definitely did not get the level of care that you see in the commercials. I drove almost an hour and passed several hospitals to get here, and boy can I tell you that was the worse decision I ever made. Let me paint you a picture its approximately 3 A.M., single mom, sick child, first visit, I parked in the parking garage asked the security can you pls point to the hospital he just said keep going you'll see it. Finally, I find the entrance. Were taken to the exam room, doctor walks in the first thing he said after he introduces himself is I wouldn't have come in... hold up I thought I came to a emergency room with a child with Autism, who is non-verbal so there is no way for him to communicate with me as far as what is exactly wrong, and the first thing you open your mouth and say is I wouldnt have come in. First of all, my child is non- verbal, and unable to walk. I didn't go to medical school so I came here to get professional help. I guess I could've gotten better service on Google and play doctor myself.
Good services, but the best was Patrick, he play with my son so nice.
I love this place
Edited: My experience with Dr. Jofe and Kim White was and remains exceptional. Kim White went out of her way to call a few times and make sure my daughter was recovering and getting better. After speaking with her I felt confident that my daughter was well cared for. Dr. Jofe was wonderful and his entire staff was excellent. As I mentioned before, the problem was with the call center and my complaint was taken seriously as they have been very responsive to all of my calls and concerns. Therefore I feel compelled to change my rating here for I do not believe better care could be found anywhere else.
Good luck getting MS. Palar the pediatrics Physical therapist to come in on time. Endless excuses as to why she is late! Really unprofessional behavior.
This ER used to be really nice. Since they remodeled it, it's awful!! I knew I should've just drove to Miami children's hospital. The visit was a total waste of time. I called on the phone ahead of time with a specific question about my son's situation so I wouldn't waste my time or theirs coming,i but what happened is opposite of what I was told. We waited a very long time which I would've been fine with if my son was actually cared for. They did nothing, the doctor came in for a split second and barely glanced at my child. I did not leave feeling confident that my son was okay. I found more information on Google than they gave me here! Urgent care centers have been more thorough than this poor excuse for an ER! The nurses were rude especially the triage nurse. She left several times while checking us in. It was just awful. The only person who was nice was the child life specialist lady.
Good Morning Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital My name is Miriam and my niece Kayla Weed is a patient in this Hospital. She is 21 weeks pregnant and they are trying to stop her from going into labor. I do understand that the baby is not "viable" until he is 24 weeks, but what I do not understand is why the NICU wanted to start the steroid injections to make his lungs strong and the OBGYN said no. They told them she would have to wait until she is 23 weeks which is tomorrow. Now the new doctor told them they have to wait another week and 5 days. These kids are young, but they are hurting because they feel as if their baby does not matter to the doctors. The reality is that if it was a staff member in this position, the doctors would do anything and everything to help the baby pull through. We expect the same treatment for them as well. Please, please, please help save baby Zaiden. What you guys are not aware is that baby Zaiden has a cousin that was born at 23 weeks and she is 4 months old now. She is a warrior and so is Baby Zaiden. We know he is strong and has a fighting chance. All we ask for is that you give him that fighting chance!
I'd give it a 5 but oh lord this one doctor that works in the children's hospital is so rude. My 2 daughter and my son went to the hospital yesterday. When we got in the ER room there were these really nice nurses and they made us feel like my children were in good hands. They were but when the doctor came in it just felt like a bad vibe she came and said "hi my name is doctor ...... and this is my assistant...... ok so tell me why'd you come in today." and let me remind you my 2 daughters were on 1 ONE BED and the doctor which is a female that is an Indian told my older daughter to get off the bed " Get off the bed." Which she did not say please. And after my daughter did she said do not do that on the bed this is a hospital not your house do you have any matters also my 5 year old daughter did not want to cotton swab her uvula because she was scared and the doctor said " shame on you. You are a very bad girl." Like would you like it if I said to your child like shes a kid a 5 year old kid and you say that to her. Then my 14 year old daughter had a hard time swallowing and she felt dizzy every time she walked. She also took a cotton swab of her uvula after the results came back she said it's just a virus then she discharged us. So today my 14 year old daughter wanted to check why it was so hard for her to swallow looks like there were bumps black dots and her tongue was just messed up in all kinds of ways. I do recommend this hospital but not this doctor.
I am only going to give two stars because one I like the security staff and two the hospital has a clean and welcoming environment, mind you I said environment not staff inlcudong nurses, doctors, case workers, etc. My child has been here a month and has repeatedly gotten rashes from lack of care lack of diaper changes and llack of baths I regret choosing Memorial Regional Hospital as my birthing hospital. This whole situation with my son being in the NICU has been long and drawn out and I believe they are enjoying charging his insurance more and more- one state issued and one private. I told myself I wouldn't even bother reviewing this hospital but other parents deserve to be aware of this. If you were on any type of detox worthy medication while pregnant(and I mean medication that would cause your newborn to stay after your release for their own personal observation and possible detox) do not use this hospital. When they say they give extensive treatment they mean it. They will keep your child for way too long and make a million and one excuses as to why your child needs to continue to take this or that medication. None of the NICU nurses are on the same page what so ever, regardless of their weekly meeting with the doctors, nurses, and case managers. This year's Christmas has became so sad and pointless, honestly, this children's hospital is this year's Grinch.. Good job Joe DiMaggio, you funded a hospital that loves to drain peoples insurance and bank account. ,'''preciate it.
It's my go to hospital.no long waits compared to other hospitals I've been to.My kids have been well taken cared of.And everything was explained to us every visit.
The gastroenterologist was not professional. Smiled and advised to eat fruits and vegetables. I came for treatment for my daughter. As a result, I had to treat the child myself, because my daughter was pale and she was sick for 3 weeks. This is a kind of cashmere. I am from Russia, our doctors do not smile and do not joke but do their job. And by the way medicine is free.
The hospital itself is fine. Check in procedures before my sons surgery were fine. The facilities seemed fine, clean and new. The pre-op nurses who attended to my son were caring and understanding and didn’t rush us at all. My son is 3 and became quite scared because he didn’t understand what was happening. My recommendations are to allow parents to come into the operating area with their kids when the kids are terrified of being left with strangers at a hospital. It broke me heart to have nurses tearing me away to take him into the surgical area alone - he was screaming and calling for me but I wasn’t allowed in. If a parent could come in until the child is sedated that would be a huge help. The nurses post surgery in recovery were ok. Not extremely attentive and one had a hard time removing the IV and really hurt my son and left significant bruising in that area afterwards. I think the post surgery care for very young patients should be extremely more compassionate than that for adults and I didn’t feel much difference here vs when I’ve had surgery as an adult.
My daughter had pyloric stenosis surgery in this hospital when se was just 7 week old! A very scary experience for me and my family but this hospital made it all better! We had to stay a couple of nights and have to come back for appointment and everything was great. Love love love this place ! Always take my baby here even tho I have other hospitals way closer to my house! Very clean and the rooms are really cute!! By the way I was just reading those negatives comments about the Chase case and the surgery against his will just to find out that Dr. Birken is the surgeon involved .. I don't know what this is all about ! But he was the surgeon that fixed my daughter stenosis and he is great !!!!!!!!!!

Nurses and doctors are good here
I wish I could give the hospital zero stars.
