Had the misfortune of meeting Dr., Steinhoff, at Largo Heart Institute, on August 22, 2019. Upon entering the examination room, he failed to introduce himself, failed to even greet me and my female companion with any type of hello. He abruptly began to ask questions and when my companion started to tell him about some of my symptoms, he extended his arm and open hand in her face and told her he was not through with his question that he had asked of me. He then asked me several questions, in a very sarcastic manner, prompting me to ask him if he had had a bad night. He mumbled some reply and at that point, I told him that our point of discussing my health had come to an end and that we were leaving As we were were departing the examination room, he made several more sarcastic remarks. He may be a learned physician, but his "bed side " manner leaves much to be desired. I am not suggesting that one should not go to him for consultation; however, I am strongly suggesting that he work on his social skills as a patient is going to feel much more confident and react much better to treatment if said patient has the feeling that the Doctor personally cares about their well being. Kindness has many rewards!
