Was a patient for many years because I wanted to give a trial to the allergy shots and Dr Marcotte was recommended. My family doctor told me that, regarding the shots, one third get better, one third don’t and one third don’t know whether they are better or not. Dr Marcotte told me at the start that 90% of patients get better. They either decrease their current allergy medicine or eliminate it! Dr Marcotte told me there was plenty of evidence on the internet to back up his claim. I have yet to see it and I have looked. After five years of taking shots I asked to be retested to see what I was now allergic to. Well I got worse. I was allergic to more things than when I came in! What now doctor? He recommended more shots and I went for it, for a while. Then there was a big change in the office. A new regime of doctors took over and started making changes which were more to benefit the doctors than the patients. When your doctor becomes a businessman it’s time to find a new doctor. Allergy shots for me were a serious waste of time, money and pain. Yes, it is a pain to go in there and get stuck with two needles two or three times a month. By the way, don’t try and call dr Marcotte. They no longer answer telephones in the office. That function has been farmed out to a contractor! Try getting someone on the phone there. Go ahead, just try.
