I am a skin cancer survivor. I owe my life to this place. Thank you for your service.

Not pleased at all ! Doctor referred me to them to remove a skin tag. I could actually understand they could not. And referred me to a plastic surgeon. Which had nothing to do with my issue. I had a couple zits on my face . Which yes I break out from time to time , especially when it's that time. Ph. Assist came in , didn't even bother looking at my skin at all. Automatically prescribed me a antibodic, which is a pretty harsh antibodic..... the one that can cause c diff and all that. And put 6 refills on it. My face is not broke out that bad..... overall a pretty bad experience. Will not be returning.

I wish I had looked at the the reviews on Google before I went to this terrible place but I was recommended by my pc and didn't think to check. I went in with a persistent and painful but curable infection and was told that i needed to "shower 3 times a day for the rest of my life because I am hairy". My jaw literally dropped, I thought about it and said "really but that doesn't seem right, i already do that and i am in terrible pain." Doctor said "well it is, there is no sign of fungus and walked out on me" I literally went to the walk-in clinic on Savannah rd they took one look at it and said yup that's simple and cleared it with a longer common course of medication. Stay away from this place, they can't even deal with simple, common problems. They dont listen, rude, dismissive and entitled.

I had a MAJOR problem with the right side of my face. It was terribly sunken in. I had no idea what was causing it, and neither did any Dr. I saw, and I saw many. This problem started @ 5-6 yrs ago after a fall from about 3 ft. I hit my chin, and broke 3 ribs. I wasn't concerned about the chin right away since the pain from the broken ribs was excruciating. I recently found out that from the fall, the soft tissue on the right side of my face had been compromised. I made an appointment to see Dr. Burke in his Rehoboth Beach office. Some of the reviews were very negative and I really didn't know what to expect. Reviewers complained about the office workers and Dr. Burke himself. I arrived at his office and was greeted by an excellent staff who were very helpful and never made me feel like I was not welcome there. Dr. Burke could not have been nicer. He listened to what I had to say, gave me several different options and I was the one who made the choice on what I wanted done. With his knowledge and expertise my face has been made to look so much better. When I look in the mirror now I feel totally different and I'm almost back to normal and I can only thank Dr. Burke and his staff for this. This Dr. is kind, compassionate and caring. If anyone ever asks me, or I ever hear about someone needing to see a dermatologist I would absolutely tell the person to call Burke Dermatology.

I read the bad reviews but I decided to go to to Burke Dermarology anyway. I'm glad I did. I was treated with complete professionalism. I went in to have a mole removed and the whole process went as smoothly as possible. The PA who removed my mole did an excellent job, and the nurse did as well. They made me feel at ease, they answered all my questions and they removed the mole quickly and painlessly! I would refer anyone who needs a mole removed here. I think when people get offended they want to get revenge by posting a bad review, but if someone has a good experience they don't really think about posting a good review (for a doctor)! I'm posting this because I was kind of nervous going in after reading these terrible reviews, only to find it was nothing at all what others had described. The office staff and everyone else was very kind and professional. Maybe they just got their act together, but for me I had a great experience at Burke dermatology!

Wham, bam comes to mind. Several years ago when my dermatologist retired, I was referred to Dr. Burke. I had had minor skin issues including a spot above my left eye that I told them had already been zapped at least twice and biopsied once. I assumed they obtained my records; I cannot reach the previous dermatologist now. At that time it was benign. I never met Dr. Burke. His PA, I guess, zapped me a few times over the past years and never indicated to me a need for anything but my annual visit. Before the last visit, I did notice that this spot was irritated, but nothing that prompted me to schedule an earlier visit. They finally biopsied it and this time it was basal cell. They scheduled me for mohs surgery. In surgery is the first and only time I ever met Dr. Burke. It turned into a triple mohs surgery. I took selfies and was horrified by what I saw. The report his office provided to my primary is a fiction that must be a standard blueprint they have. We don't have enough dermatologists in Southern Delaware, but do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, especially if it is on your face. And do not go to Dr. Chang, the plastic surgeon across the hall. Between the two of them, I was left with an awful skin graft scar above my left eye that I have now had to go to another Plastic Surgeon to repair.

Waited an hour to be seen for a 3 minute bum's rush by Mike, the P.A., who spent the entire appointment telling me how he wasn't getting paid to freeze skin cancers. The two children at the front desk entertained me by tittering about Facebook posts while passing a phone between them. I explained that I had a rare disease with caused my skin condition. My explanation was dismissed. Everything removed grew back in 3 weeks. This is the most rude, unprofessional office staff that I have ever encountered. I will never return to these unprofessional jokes!

This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had with so-called "medical professionals" in the United States. The Rehoboth Beach office is so unprofessionally run, it is scary and potentially dangerous. I had an appointment on 9/7/2016 and went for blood work immediately afterward as instructed. The test came back, and there was no prescription called in (except a topical cream) for 23 days. The prescription went to the wrong Rite Aide store. I live in Millsboro, and the office staff called it into Long Neck, miles away. I called to complain, and the office personnel hung up the phone on me. Later the office manager decided to tell me the fault was with my insurance company, Aetna. Regardless, I told them they could prescribe a different solution or alternative solution until a decision was reached with the insurance company. They did not prescribe alternative treatment until I called yet again. Then the office said they would give me two samples of injectable Humira to "TIDE" me over until Aetna approved the medication. I went this morning 10/3/2016 at 8:00 AM to receive this drug and they handed to me through the sliding office window (with an attitude) and with absolutely no instruction on how to take medicine (injections). I am afraid to take this medication as Dr. Burke's office personnel may have mishandled it since Humira must be kept cold or cool and properly stored. This box was warm and could be hazardous to use. Keep in mind heart failure is a side effect of Humira and improperly stored Humira??? Finally, I have left a message for the doctor himself to call me well over a month ago and still not received a call from the doctor. I know doctors are busy but if Yelp is the only way to make it publicly known then so be it. I did let the Dover office know about the problem but they notified the Rehoboth office who called me to say the doctor is too busy to speak with patients. Do yourself a favor and avoid this office even if you need to drive a greater distance. I have made an appointment with another dermatologist in a different town to protect my health. BTW, I still have not received a call from the doctor on 12/01/2016. I guess this shows how much he really cares about his patients, the medication they receive, or how his office is run by his staff. HEY DR. BURKE, when you do read this give me a call and I will update the review with the date and time of your call.

Saw Dr Burke. Very good experience w him and the nurse! Had a mole removed. No pain ( except for the numbing shot). Healed up well. Very pleased.

I saw the PA at the Lewes office. I felt the appointment was rushed - wish he had given more time and listened to my concerns instead of just prescribing antibiotics (which I did not pick-up/use).

My husband and I went in for a routine skin check today. The front desk staff was very professional and friendly. The office was clean and they ran close to on time, that is always a plus in my book. We both saw the PA, he was personable and answered all our questions. The nurse that assisted him was friendly and generally put you at ease. This was the first visit to Burke Dermatology, there were recommended to us by a family friend. I also checked with my family doctor, and was told they refer all there patients to them as well. I would highly recommend Burke Dermatology, our experience was nothing but positive, and will be seeing them again next year. Thank You!

What a great experience!! I was very unsure of having Mohs surgery but Dr. Burke and his staff were very good about explaining everything and making me feel comfortable. It was exceptional from beginning to end. Thank you!!

Made removing a mole painless and lots of fun! Let’s hope the lab results are good! Highly recommend this office. (Update: They called early the following week to inform me my mole was in fact a wart and was nothing to worry about! It has healed perfectly!)

This is my third visit to Dr. Burke office and I’m sure will probably be my last . This last visit I saw the physicians assistant and I was completely Disgusted at his attitude and complete lack of caring . I have had an issue for two years now they have not been able to correct , and and he blew it off like it was nothing though I have went through many medications and they haven’t worked I would have expected him to at least be sympathetic and maybe try something else. but he didn’t have the time , walked out of the room before I could ask any questions . I believe Dr Burke to the doctor I seen him once And he was a caring Dr and was not in a hurry . At this point I believe the PAs are hurting his business
