I have ben coming to the helms for over 25 years . I love all the drs but I just can't take the rudeness of the receptionist and staff no longer . The wait is horrible usually a 2 hour wait it's ridiculous if yiu complain they have a attitude .they feel they can get away with this because they are the only ones to to accept certain insurance . I asked my primary for a new obgyn and she told me about the woman's health center but guess who runs this also the helms . ugh .It's a shame because I absolutely love the helms and dr fanning but I'm not going to treated like garbage and spend half my day in a drs office waiting . BEWARE THE MERIDEN OFFICE IS THE WORST

Love Dr Dennehy he is awesome. He has a great bedside manner. Only 4 stars because the wait time is about an hour. Just a warning do not see Dr Wardzin she is very rough and rude.

Both offices suck!!! The one in Meriden is definitely worse, however the one in Wallingford is bad too. I've been sitting in the waiting room for an hour and then I'm told by the secretary I'll be seen in another 15 minutes. I'm so frustrated, it's like they overbook and don't care about the patients time. I guess I'm just another pay check here. This is way too much.

I went to the Meriden location there for 2 visits and the first visit wasn’t to bad. All my concerns were answered and treated but my second visit I asked a question and I was basically told told that my concern isn’t important and that I should just get over it. Recently, my pain had been getting worse and now I find myself looking for a new gyno. For this office you are just a name on a list to get through and they don’t really get to know their patients and listen to their concerns. Not worth your money since they don’t fully complete their job.

Honestly, I would look elsewhere it's not worth the wait time or hassle. I'm a transplant from NC I had a fantastic OBGYN when I was home for over 15 years. I decided it was time to find one close to me. I found this business because it was close to me. Big mistake, my first appointment I truthfully waited 1 hour and 17 minutes. The women beside me said this was a normal wait time when I finally asked. All three said they were looking for a new OBGYN. The female doctor I met with had absolutely no personality I was stunned I've never encountered such a brash and unwelcoming physician. I was suppose to go for a procedure they called and left one voicemail and I have called their procedure coordinator Tina 3 separate times with 3 voicemails and have yet to get a phone call back. At this time I'm going to ask for my records and find another obgyn.

Theirs always a long wait past your appt time, and the Drs rush you out once they come it. They don't ask if you have questions and if you bring up a question they rush an answer or tell you they will talk about it next time. Some of the receptionists can be very rude!

Very nice dr's can sometimes be a lengthy wait but that's because they're a popular place and given what they do, you would want them to take their time.

I was surprised to see the poor reviews regarding this office. I received prenatal care for my entire pregnancy and had a great experience with all the staff. My primary OB was so great. I went here at the recommendation of a family member and was not disappointed. Iliked my doctor so much I stay with him, even after he disclosed he oblo delivered at Midstate. I had my heart set on delivering at Yale. Midstate was a great experience as well. Dr. Joe was great for me. He did his job and didn't distract with too much fluff (very little bedside manner) I personally liked this because his attention was on performance and not social interaction. Again, not for everyone.
