I will preface this review by saying this is in no way applicable to all of the GHWHA locations. The doctors are FANTASTIC. The West Hartford location is where I am seen now, twice a week, and all of the staff there are FANTASTIC as well! However, the receptionist I dealt with at the Glastonbury office was exceptionally rude. I arrived for my appointment and there was a mix up with the location. The appointment was scheduled specifically to get me the medication I needed and connected with a home health care nurse service. When I attempted to explain to her that my doctor requested this appointment, and I needed to be seen in order to ensure I didn't need to be admitted to the hospital - she did not listen to listen to my concerns and refused to connect me with the doctor directly, just told me I'd have to reschedule. I left in tears, but luckily, my doctor was able to contact me almost immediately after realizing what happened, and made room for me right away. I have not been back to the Glastonbury office because of this experience, despite it being the closest location to my home.

Had an appt here to see a Dr. - new patient, pregnant and high risk with HBP ... had questions for the nurse who called me back insanely rude...questioning why I spoke with other offices (I was hoping to get in sooner than later somewhere because of BP).. cut me off while speaking, yelled at me like child.. the most uncomfortable phone call from a Dr's office I've ever received - and for newly pregnant patient it was just plain awful. Needless to say, booked appt elsewhere that seems to have amazing staff, Dr's and nurses that were so kind on phone .. still in shock over the phone call back from this nurse. So Looney!
