The very first thing Dr. Doyle helped me with was weight loss. Switching to bio-identical thyroid (I had been on Synthroid) in 2008 resulted in a 45 lb weight loss over the next year (that was all menopausal weight gain). I was 68 at the time. For years I have suspected I'd inherited a familial thyroid problem but conventional medical Drs. would not treat me, either saying my blood work was normal or "borderline." Meanwhile I was on a roller coaster ride for two decades: gaining weight, feeling sluggish, depressed...then losing weight and feeling more high strung; like a bi-polar brain, only it was my body. When I saw Dr. Doyle's website and heard what he said, it was everything I had been feeling, especially concerning menopausal issues that complicated matters. He's now the first Dr. to actually treat me for thyroid by listening to what my body is saying, not just lab results. The fact that he uses his ears as one of his most valuable diagnostic tools is very rare (think: Marcus Welby!) In an age of 5-min Drs. and quick prescription fixes, Dr. Doyle is truly a breath of fresh air. I feel much better than I did a year ago!

My wife and I chose Dr. Doyle because he subscribes to the results driven approach that is based not only on lab results but also on patient's feedback. Also because he follows Drs. Broda Barnes and William Jefferies approach to endocrine health. I drive over an hour to see Dr. Doyle and it is worth it. I feel that he truly listens to my symptoms, then confirms via test results, and allows me to have a say in my treatment. Conventional medicine treats thyroid issues much differently; I have no interest in going through that regardless of the cost. From his office I learned about the dangers of the most commonly prescribed pharmaceutical and synthetic statins and their side effects. There are some nasty side effects from these drugs.
