I came to the Connecticut Skin Institute because of the high rating; unfortunately, my experience was not the same. I thought I would see Dr. Ibrahimi for my initial visit that everyone raved about; however, I was given another physician. The doctor was nice and knowledgeable but not personable and I felt rushed for a 1st visit. The medical assistant seemed inexperienced. I had to remind her to place padding on the medical chair for me to sit on as I was getting a full skin exam. The billing representative was a bit abrasive when explaining benefits and made feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed. The billing Manager was great in addressing my concerns and professional when explaining the billing policy and made feel at ease. I'm unsure if I will return. I wish I had a better experience.

I've been going to Dr.Ibrahimi's office for quite a few years now. They've been nothing but great, accommodating, and overall terrific to me. Any questions or concerns are always addressed and answered. Whenever I've needed to reschedule or adjust an appointment it was never an issue. On a recommendation from a friend, I went to Dr. Saluja at the CT Skin Institute for a checkup--even though I had recently seen another dermatologist less than a year earlier. It turns out that the previous dermatologist who told me that the bump I wanted to be looked at was "harmless" was totally wrong. Dr. Saluja immediately noticed it and had it biopsied, and it turned out to be cancerous. He then set me up with Dr. Ibrahimi for the removal, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Not only is the cancerous tissue gone, I have no visible scarring from the procedure! I will be going to these two excellent physicians for as long as I live here, and their staff is equally professional and helpful.

YouTube is playing in the large waiting room, they sent me a reminder electronically, and the patient WIFI is fast! Dr. Ibrahimi has more specialized lasers for skin treatment than the local hospital, and each of the dozen devices have a very specific use. I am happy to have been referred to a true skin expert. Dr. Ibrahimi was so thorough with me, I brought my mom, and she loves him.

I visited Dr. Ibrahimi a couple of months ago to learn more about Fraxel treatments for hyper-pigmentation and acne scarring. I was a little nervous about the procedure due to the mixed reviews I had read online from dissatisfied clients who went to inexperienced providers for their treatments. I ultimately chose Dr. Ibrahimi for his long list of credentials and from the five star reviews I read online on almost every review platform on the web. However, my experience with Dr. Ibrahimi and his staff far exceeded my expectations. During my first Fraxel procedure, I was amazed at how friendly and helpful Dr. Ibrahimi and his staff were with helping me feel comfortable during the entire process. Every staff member was eager to help and answer any questions I had in a very timely manner and with lots of compassion. Dr. Ibrahimi was very honest about the improvement he anticipated and was probably more conservative about the outcome. After my first treatment, I noticed a vast improvement in the overall appearance of my skin and received numerous compliments from colleagues, friends,and family who all said my skin looked like it was glowing. For me, these compliments were validation that I had made the right choice, as I have never been told that my skin looked great. I just finished my second procedure with Dr. Ibrahimi and look forward to seeing the results.. If you are considering getting Fraxel treatments done, I would not hesitate to go with Dr. Ibrahimi for great results and an unmatched level of professionalism.

My initial appointment was to see Dr. Saluja to have a birthmark by my right ear looked at. While it was nothing and he froze it off, he did notice a bump under my left eye that I could swear has been there forever. Long story short, he biopsied it and it was Basel Cell. Dr. Ibrahimi removed it and now, 3 weeks post surgery I'm left with a tiny scar that I am told will go away. The thing is, I went to another dermatologist for that bump about 3 years ago for cosmetic reasons. He looked at it and told me it was nothing and if I wanted it removed I would have to go to a plastic surgeon because it had roots and it would scar etc. I rue to think what could have happened if I just let it go on. These doctors are the best in my book!

Visiting Connecticut Skin Institute was a disappointing experience to be completely honest. I went to this dermatologist's office as it was the best rated in Stamford. The first red flag for me occurred when I was being sold this numbing cream during my consultation; they were very insistent that I buy it at the doctor's office and I knew for sure I could get it elsewhere. Turns out I was able to purchase the cream from a retail store for half the price it cost in the doctor's office. Having researched the recommended treatments for a keloid scar, I went in with an idea of what procedure I would like done; ultimately I was steered toward a different treatment method, which was okay with me as I am by no means a medical professional and trust the doctor's expertise. The treatments I received had an effect but not a very satisfactory one after multiple visits. Furthermore, the treatments were considered cosmetic and cost quite a lot out of pocket. I don't think they even wanted to see my insurance during the first visit. In addition, some of the staff (one particularly) were cold and unfriendly; it wasn't a very inviting environment. Fast forward a few months after my visits to this office, with minimal change to my skin condition - I went to another dermatologist who was able to perform the treatment I wanted. This time the treatments were considered medical as opposed to cosmetic and are covered by my insurance; they have been dramatically more effective and are at little cost out of pocket. Lesson is: it doesn't hurt to shop around. I wish I had done so sooner.

There is only one word for Dr.Omar and it is FABULOUS. I am first generation Irish and my skin is in terrible shape. I had a very serious problem on my right hairline. It was very deep and wide. Dr. Omar got all the cancer out pain free. He is very gentle and i was totally at ease thru the entire procedure. I have been to many cancer doctors in my lifetime and i can honestly say he is the best. I had six stitches and five weeks later there is only a very slight scare. About a year ago I went to Dr. Omar for Mohs Surgery. My experience with Dr. Omar and the entire team at Connecticut Skin Institute was amazing. I was uneasy with finding out I had a form of skin cancer, and even more uncomfortable that it was on my face. Dr. Omar and his team answered all of my questions they were thorough with explaining the procedure and after care. Today, I couldn't be happier with the results, my scar is not noticeable, it is barely existent and flat on my face. My 13 months old daughter has had a strawberry birth mark for a couple of weeks now. It recently started bleeding (on and off, but there was a LOT of blood). I am so thankful I found Dr. Ibrahimi on-line. I drove four hours from upstate NY to have Dr. Ibrahimi do my MOHS surgery and reconstruction. I was first diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma at the age of 30 and now 16 years later have had MOHS surgery 6 times. This time was the most concerning given that it was on my nose. Dr. Ibrahimi and his staff were amazing. The MOHS went smoothly and then I had a skin graft done from my ear to my nose. I went in today to have the remaining stitches removed and Dr. Ibrahimi also removed some scabbing. The surgery was only 3 weeks ago and I was amazed at what I saw underneath- the skin graft took perfectly, there is only slight redness and little to no scarring. I recommended him wholeheartedly!!

I was seeing Dr Ibrahimi for tattoo laser removal when I asked him to check out a dry patch on my back. It had been there for a few years and the appearance was constantly changing from a pink scar like appearance to a dry rough patch. I had asked two other doctors in previous years about it and was told it was nothing to worry about. Dr Ibrahimi said it looked like Basal Cell Carcinoma and asked if I was up for a biopsy and quickly took a painless sample of the suspicious area. I was called a few days later with my results and told that it was in fact Basal Cell and due to the type he recommended the Mohs procedure. I went for the procedure on a Saturday morning and was told that it could take as long as an hour to a few hours depending on the pathology results. I only had to have one incision so I was only in the office for a little over an hour. The procedure was painless and the incision healed quickly and nicely. Since this experience I have been more diligent about wearing sunscreen and I have had a complete body mole scan. As far as my tattoo, after only five sessions it's almost gone! I know this is not typical but the new laser he is using is very effective and I am more than satisfied with my progress.

I went to Dr. Ibrahimi on a recommendation from another dermatologist in the area. That alone made me think I was going to have a great experience and I did. He explained the procedure and provided all the information I needed to know regarding the surgery. He was confident that he would be able to remove the cancer and I would be happy with the results. Three weeks later as I write this review, I am very pleased with how it turned out. The scar is minimal considering the size of the growth and the amount of sutures I had. Dr. Ibrahimi and his staff, especially his medical assistant Jenn, were very welcoming and caring. Jenn went above and beyond to make sure that I felt comfortable and reassure me that I was in the best of hands. She was very warm and friendly and made the whole experience as painless as it can be. From making the appointment, to the follow-up care and everything in between, the staff always made me feel at ease. During the hours of the procedure, the waiting room was filled with snacks and drinks for all the patients. After surgery, they were very responsive to my questions/calls and even called to check in after their work hours! I had a follow-up appointment five days after the procedure to check on the sutures and to see how I was healing. This practice exemplifies the highest of standards and I am so happy I chose them. I can’t speak highly enough of Dr. Ibrahimi and his staff and would definitely recommend him to anyone in need of this procedure.

I recently had a procedure done by Dr. Ibrahimi to laser the skin underneath my eyes in hopes of reducing the puffiness and wrinkles that have developed over time. I can only speak for myself - but I am very pleased with the results of the treatment! The whole process took about 30m and most of that is numbing the treatment area - the laser only takes about 10m. You feel some pressure but there’s no pain. Afterward you do looks pretty rough, your eye area is swollen, red and raw. That evening there was some burning as well once the numbing cream wore off but easily remedied with some Tylenol. The following 2 days you have continued redness, swelling and some scabbing but it was all manageable. I had some concerns with scabbing on Sunday morning and so I called the office - they got back to me immediately and calmed me down. On the 4th day after the procedure, a lot of the scabbing peeled off and the swelling was a less. On the 5th day I went to work with some tinted reading glasses concealing the area. Tomorrow is 3 weeks out and my eyes look great. The skin underneath is smooth and tight. I know it’s not a permanent procedure, but I have no reservations about going back to Dr. Ibrahimi when the time comes for another treatment.
