Took both our children there from birth through age 3. Were happy with the care provided by Dr. Storch-Smith and the kind and attentive nursing staff.
The front office of the practice, however, is a nightmare. The attitude of the people on the phone and behind the counter is aloof, unhelpful, and uncooperative. Phone calls for even the most routine matters were met with condescension, long hold times, and disconnections.
After every appointment, we found extra charges on our bill not covered by insurance. Each time we would call to request the charge be removed and not applied again. This fell on deaf ears.
We requested a copy of our childrens' medical records at one point, then arrived a week later for a long-standing vaccination appointment, only to find the office staff had pre-emptively canceled our appointment, without telling us, on the assumption that if we wanted to see our childrens' records, we must be "leaving the practice." Instead of seeing the doctor, we were presented with a bill for $65 for xeroxing.
Finally, we did switch to another practice. However, this required getting the childrens' records sent over to the new practice. At most places, this would be a matter of a simple request. Here, however, we have tried a phone call, a visit to make the request in person, and a written request - all met with no response. It's now several weeks later and they still had not cooperated.
