Went here after my insurance changed. I had prior testing done at CCRM 2-months before that showed my labs were good (AMH was 2.7, AFC 14, all other values WNL). Only difference was I was 42yo. I previously had a live birth with a healthy child after 1 month of trying naturally at 39, and was pregnant after 3 months of naturally trying but that ended MC at 14 weeks when 42yo due to trisomy 18, hence us getting testing. I had Dr. Skaznik-Wikiel. She initially wouldn’t even open my file and told my IVF wouldn’t work due to my age. I then mentioned that CCRM tested me and said I should have no problem getting pregnant (but wanted $60,000!). She finally opened my folder, saw my values, but then only offered us IUI with femara, albeit with a sigh and an eye roll. Needless to say, we didn’t go back. I’ve gone on to have 7 more (recurrrent) mcs and am frustrated at the poor service I received at this clinic. We are finally moving onto embryo donation to try that, though my labs are still decent and I was told by the embryo donation program clinic that I could likely get pregnant with IVF (though that would be pricier than embryo donation). It’s upsetting because I think we could have had another healthy child of our own if this Dr. would’ve provided us with sufficient medical care.

I had an almost amazing experience. The medical assistants, doctors and ultrasound techs were all phenomenal! Made the process less stressful and they were very helpful. My only issue with this office is the unwelcoming feeling the nurses give. I did not have one interaction with any nurse that was pleasant. Each of them acted irritated with any requests I made. And getting them to return a phone call, complete a form or anything that required actual work was like pulling teeth. I thought to be brave enough to say something one day, until I sat in their teaching room with the door open and overheard a nurse speaking loudly about another patient and man was that a horrible conversation to hear. It almost made me want to find another office that same day. And as someone who works in the medical field as well, I am very well aware of HIPAA and patient confidentiality and that nurse for sure threw that out the window that day. Thankfully I have “graduated” from this clinic. But now I know if there’s ever a need for me to return to this type of clinic, I for sure will NOT be returning to this one. If you value nurses taking your care to heart & showing you respect, even when you’re not around, do not go here.

I've been going here for almost a year. They are EXTREMELY thorough. They've investigated and treated hypothyroidism, hyper prolactin issues, insanely high Estrodial and we have finally got to the point we are able to try. There were no stones unturned and when there's a hiccup of my labs, they call in a very timely manner. One time I received calls from not just my doctor, but from 3 of them to reassure me that I am still on the road to conception despite the hiccup. I can't say enough about them.

This review is specifically for the administrative help I received at ARM, not the physicians, who I had no trouble with. Due to a change in insurance, I needed to move care to CCRM. Naturally, I needed records shared with CCRM. This started in October. My husband and I have sent in multiple signed requests for release of his records. We have faxed the requests to ARM. We have called ARM to confirm that they received them. When they don't show up at CCRM and I call back, they snappishly tell me that they have already sent them and that they have a confirmation number (which really doesn't mean anything, they just have a timestamp that the fax supposedly went through). They have refused to call CCRM to confirm that the records were received. I've worked in healthcare my entire career--it's not that hard for them to pick up the phone and call another provider for continuation of care--which is what this is. I asked if they could provide the records to us via email so that WE could send them to CCRM, and they wanted to charge $14 for the privilege of receiving our own medical information via email (though apparently faxing is free?!). Today, my husband called again and gave them an earful about the fact that they need to take a little responsibility and call CCRM and they hung up on him. I am so beyond pissed off about how difficult they are, I wouldn't recommend them at all--they aren't that much cheaper than CCRM and they are VASTLY more difficult to work with. It is stressful enough needing to see a fertility specialist. Needing to call and beg them to share records over a four month period is absolutely unacceptable. UPDATE: They called to say they have no record of one of the test results we had done, despite the fact that one of their docs told us it was "normal". So they either lost our test results or they told us results that didn't actually exist. Either way, we paid several hundred dollars that they are now telling us they have no record of.

I will start with saying this facility and their negligent care almost killed me. Had it not been for my training, I might not have my uterus or even be alive today. I am an RN and my husband is a surgical fellow at the hospital associated with ARM. Which they knew. Long story short, in addition to being ARGUED with that I have PCOS (diagnosed 12 years prior and on medication for it), I unfortunately miscarried while under the care of Dr. Serena Dovey. EIGHT weeks after, I was still having symptoms of a miscarriage and my HCG had plateaued. I reached out to Dr. Dovey and her nurses explaining the situation and no one ever responded to me. My concern was retained tissue. I ended up bringing myself to the ER one day because I knew something was terribly wrong. I ended up SEPTIC, having endometritis, needed an emergency D&C, and ended up admitted. Mind you, my emergency surgery was in the OR that I work in. Positioning for a D&C is a very vulnerable position to have to be in in front of your and your husband's coworkers... The only reason I ever even heard anything from Dr. Dovey and ARM is because I sent an email to everyone involved in my care at the facility, the CMO, and other higher ups at the hospital. It was at THAT point did they admit to believing I had PCOS because they finally reviewed my labs, and said "sorry" for the mishap. My husband and I had been warned about the care here from other physicians and other physicians wives. We chose to give them the benefit of the doubt, and we were sadly mistaken. Do yourself a favor and find any other clinic other than this one. I'm horrified for the people who don't have training who wouldn't have recognized the signs of an infection and just thought that they were sick. Had I not gone to the ER that day, I might not be here to write this or I might not have the chance to have a child because I almost lost my uterus. This is how they treated colleagues. This place is TERRIBLE and it's scary that it hasn't been shut down or sold to competent providers.

I had an amazing experience here at ARM. We did the IUI procedure and were told it could take 3x to actually get pregnant and we got pregnant our first try. The doctors were amazing and the nurses were nice always made conversation. They always returned my calls within the day when I had any questions and my patience portal had all my information I needed when I started seeing my OBGYN. I will be going back to start my second pregnancy within the next year.

This place is an IVF Cowtown and has no interest in finding the actual reason you’re not conceiving!!! I saw Dr. Roth. At my consult she told me her only recommendation was IVF but would do 2 or 3 IUI's just for peace of mind for myself. Mind you I’m only 27 , Husband is 28, no known problems yet and had only been trying for 2 years. She did only the standard testing. When I asked for a comprehensive thyroid test bc I thought I might have issues with that. They flat out told me NO. I said why, it doesn’t affect them and my insurance covered it so they would get paid. Still NO!! During the US to check the quality and quantity of my eggs DR Roth told me I had a lot of resting follicles, even for my age and that was great! I asked her right then if there were so many that I may have PCOS. She said no. I asked her about many other symptoms I had that might be PCOS. She and everyone else there pretty much laughed at me. I told her how I have always had such pain during my AF’s and asked if I might have Endometriosis and she didn’t even bat her eye at the thought. I finally got sick of this place and went to Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine. Within 10 mins of my consult she told me " hunny, I can tell just from Dr. Roth's blood tests and US's that you have PCOS and possibly Endometriosis”. Many tests later and a Laparoscopy, I have confirmed PCOS and Endo. I never once felt like Dr. Roth wanted to actually find out what was wrong with me. She simply wanted to make 20k off of me. The best decision I have made during this whole infertility journey was trusting myself and finding a new doctor. I would never recommend anyone to go here!

I recently relocated to Colorado and needed a new gynecologist that had an understanding of hormones since I am in my 20's and in surgical menopause. My surgery was a success but I was in need of a different recommendation of hormone replacement therapy to get my estrogen levels up and a new doctor since I just moved to Colorado. Dr. Santoro's skill set lists HRT for surgical menopause and I saw a positive review specifically citing that. I visited this physician twice, both consisted of me sitting with the doctor and chatting about trying a different HRT. That's it. No examination, just talking. I received a roughly $673 bill for about an hour of time between the two visits. Though I found Dr. Santoro to be satisfactory the office Management is HORRIFIC as is CU medicine. No one could tell me specific reasons of why I was being charged these amounts and the story changed every time with one person even commenting that they do upcharge and the manager Luann lying and saying that the state requires you to use insurance (even if it is cheaper to just pay without which is $250 and that's what the doctor recommended doing) when I needed an examination from Dr. Santoro I called to get a coat estimation (since the other bills were so expensive just for talking) and additionally Luann (the office manager) became angry and argumentative on the phone declaring that this is a FERTILITY clinic and doesn't deal with menopausal women generally (perceived as we don't deal with people like you). Which caused me to burst in uncontrollable tears on the phone. Crying so hard I could barely talk I followed by saying thank you for your time I'd like to cancel my next appointment. She angrily declared that she would transfer me to Portia and sounded that she slammed the phone, which resulted hanging up on me. I had to call back (still crying uncontrollably) and was informed it was canceled by another woman. The manager comes off unprofessional and Insensitive . Luanne will provide commentary that comes off as excuses (she made a comment stating that by Colorado law I have to use my insurance which CU Medicine commented is not true and add that doctors don't understand insurance and have no right to say anything about not using it despite my doctor saying we could see if it was cheaper for me to pay out of pocket) and implied that my insurance determined my charges (I also called my insurance and that is not the case) and not answer any questions and tell you she "doesn't have time for this." I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Though Dr. Santoro seemed fine, the office comes off as very disrespectful. That manager's comments caused a trigger (what if I was someone who in a deep depression over my hysterectomy?? Which I should add I am pretty sad over) and she acted as she did not care and that I was an annoyance. This is not how any healthcare professional should act, I proceeded to cry for hours after this call feeling horrible for not being a woman who can reproduce and horrible for the painful choice I had to make. This clinic's actions give the implication they do not care about all their patients that enter, only those apparently who are someone that still has the organs to get pregnant and can be charged a lot of money for it. If this is a clinic for fertility ONLY, then I ask that you list that and inform women of this when they call seeking to see a physician for something other than fertility (which in this case means strictly attempting to get pregnant from what I perceived). I now must start over elsewhere in search of a clinic that hopefully shows compassion for someone who suffered the loss of her womb and needs some assistance in getting the right hormones to try and live the best life for a reasonable cost where that cost can be explained with a solid answer. Luann should be confronted for her perception of being so cruel from whoever is in charge of this clinic. I hope his review can prevent someone else going through such treatment. I will never recommend this to anyone (especially those with infertility issues).

I’m a disabled veteran, and the VA is my healthcare, as I qualify for govt provided healthcare. I got a vasectomy because I don’t want kids, and that had to be outsourced from the VA hospital to UC Urology. The semen testing was ordered at University of Colorado Advanced Medicine. The first time I arrived with my semen in a cup, it wasn’t the right cup. I found out that, having lost my old cup, I needed a certain cup. When I found out this place isn’t open on the weekends, or at all when it’s not banking hours, I figured I’d pick up a small cup from the art store, as they are watertight. I hadn’t been given anything else than a cup from UC Urology, so I figure it was all I would need. When I show up for the first appointment, which I used PTO to make it to, I was told I needed their special cup. The nurse seemed to think I was stupid for not coming in at eight in the morning if I didn’t like their banking hours, even though I told them I work a job I have to be at. So I come back a week later with their paperwork filled out and my semen in a cup, having used more PTO to make it to the appointment. When I get there it turns out they no longer have authorization from the VA. I’m told to wait in the waiting room while they figure it out. Supposedly they are discussing it with the VA at that very moment. I’m then told they can’t do anything for me, BUT if I want I can pay $160 out of pocket to see if I’m sterile (LOL extortion much). When I press them about how this is possible, they blame UC Urology. I call UC Urology after the fact, and in a stern tone ask to know exactly what is going on. They tell me that at 12:30PM, an hour and a half before my 2:00pm appointment, the VA decided to pull the paperwork needed for this service. This means that University of Colorado Advanced Medicine knew I wouldn’t be able to have my semen screened and didn’t call me. It also means they were playing games when they “called UC Health,” to see what was going on. If I get someone pregnant, will University of Colorado Advanced Medicine raise/pay for my children that I’ve tried to avoid having via operation on my genitals I’m so serious about not wanting kids? University of Colorado Advanced Medicine is certainly not staffed by patriots, or thoughtful people, at all. The past reviews citing how this place is messed up are accurate. If you have a choice, don’t choose University of Colorado Advanced Medicine as a service provider.

This place should be closed permanently. I received the worst care of my life there. Fertility treatment is such a hard journey and the staff here does not care. I suffered two years with misdiagnosed PCOS which led to recurrent miscarriages (8 including chemical pregnancies.) While I was there I had multiple medications errors and a lot of heart ache micro managing a facility that is suppose to be a world leader in fertility research. I should note, my husband and many other women I personally know who had terrible experiences at ARM were married to physicians at University of CO. We were all shocked that the care we all received was substandard. I could go on and on with examples, but we would be here all week. This facility is one of the main reasons I suffer from anxiety now. Such a traumatic experience. Luckily I found the Albrecht center in Denver and have a beautiful baby boy as a result ( without fertility medication) All ARM wanted to do was give fertility meds, but that never treated my underlying issues... Please do your research before trusting just any doctor. Big lesson I learned. Wishing everyone who sees this the best. It’s so hard dealing with infertility. Stay strong!

Why is it so hard to make an appointment. Is the receptionist on drugs? To make an appointment you need my name and phone number,that’s it. You don’t need my birthday, address, ss#, who my other half is, etc. just make my appointment please, and to have to explain the purpose of my visit to the receptionist? Kind of personal. Oh, if your a man you need to have a female party. They won’t take just a male patient, or an individual, how they do this without being sued is crazy to me, this is a form of discrimination.
