If you want an OB that will make you and your partner feel at ease with base news, I URGE YOU TO NOT COME HERE! My girlfriend and I just found out we are having our first child. 4 weeks in, she has severe bleeding and cramps. She calls this place twice, whom she already had appointment with on February 26, to ask for advice on what to do or if she should come in to get looked at. Both times, the receptionist said everything is perfectly normal. That’s right, the receptionist, not an OB. We took her to the ER yesterday for answers, which we ultimately found out she had a miscarriage. She called this OB office back today to change the preference of her appointment from a first pregnancy appointment to a family planning appointment. Instead of showing empathy or compassion for what just happened to my girlfriend, the receptionist moved right along with business. A message to this business... These are real people. Real woman. Real couples. Real problems. Stop treating people like this is a retail or food industry. This is peoples lives. We are effectively cancelling our appointment and never coming back here.

Don't understand where all the great reviews are coming from. I just switched doctors after visiting Dr. Hammond's office a total of 3 times. The ultrasound tech is very sweet and personable. That was my only good experience. The nurses will ask you questions in a room about how your pregnancy is progressing. Basically anything that you might be concerned about is not addressed. Told them on one occasion that I was having unusual bleeding and the doctor didn't ask me one follow up question about the subject. Also mentioned swelling on a different visit. Again not one word about the swelling brought up. They just say okay and mark a chart. Not very personable. Makes you feel kind of like no one cares. Even if the problem is not serious you would think that the doctor would at least mention it and say " oh that's completely normal, this is when you should be concerned...." NOPE. Also, whenever you see the provider they literally check in on you for maybe 3 minutes. Not exaggerating.

I just had my 3rd baby. I moved from Florida and needed a high risk doctor at 4 months during my pregnancy (AMA). I got lucky when I found Dr Hammond!!! She is very kind and answers all your questions. Staff are all very friendly. Especially if you are friendly and patient with them. It's a doctor's office and they are working..., some other people's comments seem too harsh in my opinion. I have a 23 month old son and I had to bring him on many occasions. They were accommodating and helpful and didn't seem put off by me bringing him in the stroller. I was scheduled for an induction but started laboring on my own the day of. Dr Hammond was called into the hospital, was there super fast and was excellent during delivery. (This may have put some of her patients at the office in for a longer wait and maybe they had to see NP, which is a wonderful lady also. However, she is one doctor running the practice and I like that she is there for delivery instead of a hospital/different Dr.) I'm not having anymore kids but if I did it would be with her!!

Dr Leann Hammond is an amazing doctor I tell my family she was heaven sent literally because she is so patient and full of love, you can tell she loves what she does she demonstrates it well in every visit. She is the only one I would recommend she took such good care of me and my baby girl when she was born. All my appointments at her office where great and the staff always took really good care of me.

Where do I begin.....God has blessed Dr.Hammond’s hands & blessed her heart. There’s no better OB than her! She has gotten me through not 1 but 2 high risk pregnancy with 2 healthy children. In today’s society, most medical professionals forget to humanize what the patient is experiencing. They treat the condition but not the person but my gem of a doctor didn’t do that. She set my expectations & helped me get through some very rough patches during my pregnancies holding my hand all the way. Please don’t mistake her directness as a shortcoming, for me she was heaven sent. The staff was always accommodating with my frantic scares. Just like each pregnancy is different, so is each patient. Being one of the more experience doctors she’s taken on more patients which means more random emergency call outs during appointment time. Patients have to practice patience when going to her office. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr.Hammond & her staff to any of my family, friends, or colleagues.

Doctor Hammond is a kind, intelligent, attentive OBGYN. I greatly admire and trust her. Her staff has recently changed and most of them are doing their best while learning, but this fast paced environment is not conducive to errors.

Posted a review but had to edit it. It didnt describe just how amazing dr hammond and her staff is. Its important to feel confident in your doctor and for the first time I can say I truely am. This is my first pregnancy and her and her staff have been there for me every step of the way every question every concern they had and I have had for my health was addressed and taken care of right away. Her and her staff have a very motherly way about them and its amazing it shows how much they really care about their patience! I do plan on having other children and I will always come back to her even for regular woman health check ups. Absolutly amazing recomend to every woman!

If I could give this place 0 stars, I definitely would. I only saw Dr. Hammond 3 times before I switched to another OB, but in those 3 times I felt like Dr. Hammond did not care about me or the welfare of my baby. She was very rude, wrote off all of my concerns that I brought up to her (and I am on a medication that requires my pregnancy to be monitored more than the average person) based off the growth and development of my baby. She also gave me incorrect information about foods that were "safe" to eat, and when I had asked her questions about it she was so personally offended that and acted like I was questioning her intelligence, even though she had done so to me in the same appointment. On top of how rude the doctor was, just about every other staff member I interacted with while at this office was extremely rude too. Especially the front desk girl Jessica. She CONSTANTLY cuts me off before I can even finish a sentence or a question, she rolls her eyes at you when making follow up appointments, and it took 3 weeks for my new OB to get all of the office notes from Dr. Hammonds office, and they did not send any of my lab work. When I called to request that they send the remaining documents to my OB's office, I was not able to finish a single sentence without Jessica interrupting me or sighing out of irritation. I will never reccomend this office to anyone, and I was really disappointed with my treatment at this office because I chose to go here in the first place because of the great reviews.

I loved the Care I recieved. Both Pre-Pregnancy & at delivery Jaqueline & Dr. Hammond are simply amazing!!! The whole staff is wonderful, Very polite & address your worries and needs promptly. I had a tough pregnancy, and when my baby came waaaay early at 24 weeks gestation, Dr. Hammond came down to Memorial Central (not where she delivers) after her long days at work to visit me . . . 3 different times, even after caring for other new moms. She totally didn't have to do that, but she did out of kindness. When she told me about her NICU background, it all made sense. She had seen first-hand, for many years, what parents go through when their baby comes so early . . . Dr. Hammond offered true compassion, encouragement, help and hope. . . . AND she knows how to help me next time I'm pregnant, to keep the baby inside longer. :-) (The issue I had was pretty rare and came up suddenly over a holiday weekend, but we know what to do next time. By the way, our 24-week micro-preemie is doing great now!) I'm thankful for Dr. Hammond's help through the crazy early days of our daughter's life. And as to the complaints about time-management, I had MANY appointments and was always in and out of the office in less than an hour, with one exception. The one time I had to wait 45 minutes to an hour past my apt time, Dr. Hammond was at the hospital for an emergency with another mom and baby. I was so glad for that mom that she was there instead of at the office for non-emergencies.

Every time I go in for an appointment the staff is friendly and genuinely cares about how you’re doing. I’ve had a surgery with Dr. Hammond and a couple small procedures but have had a wonderful experience every time. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

This practice is amazing. The staff is all helpful, and they take the time to actually know the patient. NP Jacqueline is fantastic and so thorough and personable, and Dr Hammond was amazing, knowledgeable and kind. She helped me make the most informed decisions during birth, and was there the entire birthing process and took such good care of me and baby during it and afterwards. I would reccomend this office to anyone.

I had my first appointment today. It was great. Dr. Hammond is warm and kind. I got an ultrasound! I got to see my little 7.5 week baby's heart. I look forward to a fun trip with the whole staff.

Patients time is not a concern. My appointment time was at 2:45 and I had to sit in the waiting room until 4:00. I watched a prior employee walk in and get called back right away. Also listened to the front desk clerk talk to other employees about a patient's husband cussing her out on the phone. Very unprofessional. When I finally got called back, I had to wait for the Doctor another 40 minutes. I did not leave the office until 5:00 p.m.. No apologies for being excessively late. Avoid unless you don't mind spending your entire day sitting and missing work.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Hammond. I first met her when I miscarried my first pregnancy. She was so compassionate during my ordeal, it felt like I had been her patient for years. I got pregnant again, and this time, it was a high risk pregnancy and there were several problems throughout. She was so attentive to me, my husband, and our baby. She held my hand every step of the way, and even though she did not deliver my daughter because I had to have an emergency c-section, I feel my daughter made it through the pregnancy because of her care. I have been returning to her every year since, and I will continue to, as long as she is in practice.

Dr. Hammond is the best OBG/YN doc I’ve ever had. We’ve moved around quite a bit, but we’ve been here for the past 6 years and she came highly recommended to me by a friend. After getting to know several of my lady neighbors it turns out that she has also delivered several babies on our block! How crazy is that? Everyone loved her. I now even use her for both of my young adult daughters and she is very good with them. That can be a confusing age for young ladies who are learning about what is going on with their bodies and she does an excellent job answering questions and dealing with their timidness. Also, she does do ultrasounds in her office as well as monitoring for high risk babies. She has all the right equipment for that and won’t hesitate to use her ultrasound machine right away if she can’t get a heartbeat on the baby (with no charge to you if your insurance won’t cover it). She spares no expense for her patients. Like I said – she’s the best!

Dr. Hammond is the best doctor I have ever seen. A friend of mine recommended Dr. Hammond when my husband and I decided to have a baby. I was a high risk pregnancy and Dr. Hammond stayed on top of everything. Nothing got past her. She made me feel confident and made it clear she would be by my side every step of the way. Dr. Hammond also has the best staff you could ever work with. These girls know what they are doing and care just as much about you as Dr. Hammond. My husband and I now have a beautiful little girl who is completely healthy because of Dr. Hammond. I recommend Dr. Hammond to every women, she knows what she is doing and cares about her patients. Amazing staff. As a first time mom they made me feel completely comfortable and informed about everything. I was able to call them with every concern I had; even the silliest questions they always had time to answer. On one occasion I fell at work and they kept the office open past business hours just so that I could come in and get an ultrasound to make sure everything was okay with my baby instead of sending me to a hospital. You can really feel the genuine care that all staff members have here and I would 10/10 recommend this office to anyone expecting! They have made my pregnancy such a positive experience and I’m so grateful for everything they have done and continue to do!

I went in for my appointment and the receptionist had told me that my appointment was yesterday, which I know for a fact it wasn’t because I only schedule my appointments on Tuesdays. The receptionist tells the ultrasound tech about the issue to see if she can squeeze me in and she loudly laughs saying “it sucks to be me,” for the whole waiting room to hear. Fix your attitudes and make sure when you schedule an appointment for someone it’s for the right day.

DO Not Waste your time at this Clinic! Kati the billing lady is very Disrespectful. She has been on the job for two weeks basically I don't know how she got the job. Kati in billing can explain to the doctor Hammond how I will find someone else to deliver my baby and provide care. They kept saying unless we get social security number we don't get pay and they won't make an appointment for me.after three days of going back and forth over the phone kait finally says they got the information they needed, by this time i told her i will not be coming to their clinic.Trashy front desk service from Jessica & Kait. Don't need the uneseesary stress. Kait is a lier when I asked to speak to office manager she said that would the doctor she is not here and I don't know when she will be in. When I called the nurse the doctor was in. Don't need these messy people in my life.

I had a LEEP procedure today and she was great at explaining everything to my husband and I as well as being sympathetic/understanding towards my nervousness. 10/10 would recommend!!

My girlfriend and I have had a very poor experience with this Office, we were told things were good from the beginning and my girlfriend had family history of preeclampsia and last Friday my girlfriend's blood pressure was high during her appointment and low baby weight had been discussed but never explained, questions always felt unexplained, over the weekend her blood pressure went between normal and high and we would come in and get sent home each time saying things were fine and Tuesday morning she had abdominal pain and she called the office and they said to wait and see if it went away, she went to the ER and they immediately took her into surgery because the baby's heart rate was very low and they discovered she had, had a placental Abrubtion and preeclampsia. We have spent a week in the hospital we lost the baby due to preeclampsia and every time we see the wonderful doctors here in Canon City they tell us that this office lied to us about what was happening and we lost our baby, we had to find out from this hospital that there was only one umbilical artery when we were told different and instead of dealing with the preeclampsia the first high blood pressure reading we were sent away until it became an emergency and we lost our baby and I almost lost my partner.

I would love to rate the actual service, but they have cancelled on me twice. When I showed up for my last rescheduled appointment they told me the doctor wasn't there. Yep! I will be cancelling my new rescheduled appointment. I will not drive 30/45 mins for that again. I have been trying to get an appointment since January.

Colorado Obstetrics & Women's Health Is the BEST of the best!!! Dr. Hammond is the most caring doctor I have ever dealt with! She and her office staff handle every situation with the utmost professionalism and care! Dr. Hammond has been my doctor through both of my pregnancies and has delivered both of my sons. My second pregnancy I was high risk of a pre term delivery and when my son tried to come at 32 weeks Doctor Hammond was on top of it and was able to keep him in until he was full term! Due to her expertise she assisted me in delivering a full term healthy handsome little boy!!! You can truly tell that Dr. Hammond Loves what she does! All my friends see Doctor Hammond as well, and they all adore her! As far as I'm concerned she is the only OB/GYN physician I would ever recommend!

Terrible doctor! If you want someone that actually cares, find somewhere else. I got charged 70 bucks for doctor Hammond to come in my room with food on her face and barely give me any information. She wouldn’t even make eye contact with my husband. I had a number of questions for her and towards the end of them she says “are we done?” This is my first child so hell yes we are done lady. The financial ‘advisor’ needs to retire as well, she couldn’t even remember minor details about me after meeting with me and my husband THAT DAY. Very unprofessional group of people working here. Glad I found dr. Asbee and for half the price since we are self pay.

I went into labor at 38 weeks my physician was not available and Dr. Hammond was on call. I am very pleased with her care. She is an awesome physician! She has great bedside manners. She is a very caring physician. I am thankful that she was there and delivered my baby. I work in the medical field and have worked with some physicians who I would not recommend. I would definitely recommend Dr. Hammond!! Keep up the awesome work Dr. Hammond!!!

I am currently 30 weeks pregnant and I left Dr. Hammond's office after 3 visits. For a first time mom, I don't think it's uncommon to have a lot of questions. Dr. Hammond barely took the time to answer my questions and put my mind at ease. She never went over the basics of delivery with us and never explained what we need to do in certain situations. Her staff is less than friendly, especially the lady at the front desk. I should have known from the first time I called to make an appointment that I was not going to be impressed by just the way the receptionist treated me. It is her job to make appointments for people, so there should be no reason that I feel like I am intruding on her day. The last straw for my husband and I was when the office decided to send me lab results from the month previous without explaining anything. I had had an appointment since the time the lab results were given, and yet the only answer I was given was "If no one has called you, I'm sure everything is fine." That's not the most reassuring answer. The lab results had no notes on them to explain what I was looking at, instead it read things like "high" and "abnormal". Those words are not what any pregnant girl wants to see, especially one that has never been through this before. When confronting Dr. Hammond about my lab results at the next visit and expressing my concern, her response was, "I send all lab results to my patients." That is all fine and dandy, but you need to explain things to your patients first and foremost. We were highly dissatisfied by this office all together. Once switching to another office in town, we realized what GREAT care actually is. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone I know. If you want to see a doctor that is really going to be by your side your entire pregnancy, there are much better options in town.

Well worth the 1hr&1/2 drive from Cañon City! I am so excited that after a five year search for a good GYN, I have found Dr. Hammonds Office. She seemed to really care and listen to my concerns. Her staff is very friendly and both visits I was seen without any delays.

The office staff is really nice, and they try really hard to accommodate you as much as possible. I had to move my Glucose Test and they were able to find me an earlier appointment which was so nice! The NP's are phenomenal so I never mind if I can't see Dr. Hammond during my appointments. When I delivered my last child with Dr. Hammond she is absolutely amazing. Very nice, cool under pressure, and gives me the facts straight and doesnt sugar coat. I had one of my fastest deliveries with her (20 minutes of pushing, whereas the 2 babies before were 2.5 hours each) because of all the moving (in bed only obviously) she encourages you to do WHILE ON THE EPIDURAL! Highly recommend this office!

I have been seen by both Dr. Hammond and NP Natalie and I can truly say I love this office! I started off at this office 6 years ago and loved the service I received but due to insurance I had to switch to a new doctor. I had a horrible experience with the new doctor and after a few years, I came back to this office and got the same incredible service and treatment that I did 6 years prior. Im not sure why this place has such high ratings. The staff is rude, the "doctor" and "nurse" don't care about you at all. The doctor has physically injured me,and I don't expect her to be there for the birth either because there's literally not been a word spoken about it. I've had the chance to see the doctor for about 1 minute total in the entire 6 months I've been coming here of my pregnancy. Don't come here, it's all for profit not for patients.

After having the same OB for 13 years & 3 pregnancies, we moved & I was very skeptical about my new OB for our 4th pregnancy, but I have been extremely pleasantly surprised by how wonderful, professional, great bedside manner, non judgmental Dr. Hammond is & her staff too. Always attentive & prompt responses to my requests and questions. The NP’s are wonderful as well. I never wait past my appointment window. Though she does have a lot of pregnant patients so I would understand if my appointment was delayed, though thankfully hasn’t happened in 7 months. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Dr. Hammond is pretty awesome, BUT she needs to work on her time management skills!! I've only seen her twice now and the first time she was an hour late, the second time 45 minutes late. This is not professional at all. Also the girl at the front desk needs to either learn some manners or be replaced. She is RUDE and apparently doesn't know how to say, "Good morning, how can I help you?" Instead she ignores you until she's finished and has time to address you. ...and if you call to make an appt, the same girl will give you hell! I have one more treatment I need and then I'm looking for a new office.

I've delivered three babies all naturally with Dr. Hammond. She has been beyond supportive to my birth plans, and yet very conscious of my health and the health of my babies. She made it to every one of my deliveries, even though my labor never lasted more than 6-8 hours. I have only good things to say about Dr. Hammond and her office. I reccomend her highly!

I came to Dr. Hammond in the middle of my pregnancy due to moving from a different city. My experience was great. She has a very busy practice but is always available via her staff for any questions or concerns. As the pregnancy progresses you will see more and more of her at your appointments and make a plan for the delivery. She is very respectful of your delivery wishes and on the day my delivery went as planned. She was present to check my progress throughout the delivery, though she has to pop back and forth to clinic to see her patients. I will return to her practice with future pregnancies.

If you are looking for prenatal care, LOOK ELSEWHERE! I had been a patient of Dr. Hammond’s for over two years. The prenatal care I received was average in the beginning but gradually deteriorated as the pregnancy progressed. Initially saw the doctor but then we ALWAYS saw the NP. During our appointment when we found out the sex of our little one, we were told that there MIGHT be an issue. Little valuable information was provided to us on the best course of action/outcome and we left felling hopeless/devastated when we should have been filled with excitement. A follow up with my GP provided more answers and advice than Dr. Hammond and her staff. When it finally came time to deliver and Dr. Hammond was paged to the hospital, she didn’t answer or show up. The delivery, which ended up being a forceps delivery, was performed by the on call doctor. During my postpartum recovery time, I developed an infection. When I contacted the office about it, instead of scheduling an appointment immediately, I was told that my symptoms where part of the healing process. To make matters worse, my 6 week follow-up appointment was cancelled, not once, but twice due to other “emergencies”. When you are dealing with an infection and postpartum depression, there should be more of a sense of urgency when it comes to a patient’s care. The office as a whole is poorly managed and understaffed. Although we arrived early for our appointments, we always waited AT LEAST 30 minutes before we were seen. The nursing staff that checks you in are inexperienced and give conflicting information. My biggest regret throughout this whole process is having not left the practice sooner.

Dr. Hammond and her staff are friendly and professional. They provide exceptional health care and always address any questions that I may have. I recently had a baby and was pleased with the labor and delivery experience. Dr. Hammond made this a positive, memorable experience. I have had two babies delivered by Dr. Hammond and she is the best OB! She is laid back but still extremely sweet and caring! She always has you and your babies best interest at heart. Caroline is the nurse practitioner that works with Dr. Hammond and she is amazing as well! The staff is very hardworking and gets you back as quickly as they possibly can. You will not be disappointed with this office.

I am here today with my baby girl because of Dr. Hammond. She helped me throughout my high risk pregnancy and made me feel more at ease. She listened to my concerns and came up with a health plan that not only worked with my wishes but kept my baby and me safe. A week ago I needed an emergency c-section because my babies heart rate kept dropping whenever I wiuld have a contraction (at 3am in the morning) and she worked hard to not only save my babies life but mine as well. After the baby was delivered via c-section my body didn't want to stop bleeding. She is a blessing to me and my family. My family and I will be forever grateful for Dr. Hammond and the other Dr.'s and nurses who saved our lives.

i would not recommend this office to anyone. The staff is rude beyond means, but t worst is Jacky the PA. I am glad I changed and I would never go back. Please listen to your feelings and change the office as soon as you can.

We absolutely love Dr. Hammond and her staff. They are very kind and knowledgeable. They really take the time to get to know you, but they are also respectful of your time and try to get you in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Dr. Hammond delivered both of my kids and I refer her to everyone I know who needs an OB/GYN. They really listen to your concerns, calmed my fears and anxieties and stuck to my birth plan and I REALLY appreciate all that they have been to me and all that they have done for my family.

I absolutely love Dr. Hammond. As a first time mom I had lots of silly questions, worries and expectations. She made the father of my baby feel like he was always a part of it too. I was induced and had a hard time getting my daughter out but Dr. Hammond knew just what to do, and it worked! When you come for appointments you don’t always see her, sometimes her Nurse Practitioner Jacquelyn but that didn’t bother me one bit, Jacquelyn is amazing as well! 100% suggest this office. ❤️
